If you forget about a girl you were once involved in well you were not really in love with her.

You do not have to be recollecting what happened between you two everyday. Sometimes it could pop up.

Difficult to forget about the ones you truly love.

Our emotions are not like light switches that you can turn on or off at any time you deem right. The laws of the land that have being in existence right from time has made people to believe we are only supposed to have one partner (monogamy). The fact of life is that no matter which woman or man you are with, some people may find the perfect wife, husband, or partner how ever you see it, there will always be someone better, more attractive, more intelligent, smarter, etc, than the person you are with.

The laws available this day have made people think it is wrong to be with multiple people at once. I do believe that the government should not be allowed to dictate how adults live their lives. People know about their feelings more than governments do.

Now going back to the issue of religion (Christianity in this case)

Religions are pretty  much laws teaching people how to live their lives. Allegedly based on some estimates, there are more than 6 billion people in this world, how can the 10 commandments fit perfectly for all six billion people if everyone is a christian?

Knowing that there are people with varying traits, and different lifestyles. so how is it possible to apply 10 or more rules to everyone.

This also goes for education, health care, and many other social services. Of course it will be extremely difficult if not virtually impossible to cater to specific individual needs.



What would you say of a man with 2 or 3 wives and he treats them perfectly and they have perfect life.  On the other hand you have a married pastor or religion leader having mistress or girlfriend outside his marriage however you may call it.

Will all the religious guy's life work be in vain? How long can you suppress emotions before you go crazy?

I met my girlfriend online. I was not searching or hoping to have a girlfriend. I was in a chatroom and we started talking. Then we added each other and after several months things started happening gradually. In a long distance relationship. And it has being 2 years since then and I couldnt have asked for a better and more loving person.

Even if it is a long distance relationship, from my experience, you WILL HAVE TO BE SINCERE TO YOURSELF. Obviously there will be temptations, but it is up to you to deal with those temptations. And you have to be open to the person you are searching for.

I was not referring to reading, or writing I was referring to speaking only.

I said speaking chinese is easier than speaking english. My ease is not referring to reading and writing. Of course it is more difficult to read and write chinese than it is english. The tones in chinese is not difficult at all.

I understand how you feel and i felt the same way before i started taking classes in chinese. Putonghua is the official common standard. Yes there is shanghai hua, beijing hua etc. But there is a standard version. Though most places you go in china, people wouldnt even care. They still speak their own dialect. Just like yoruba. go to ibadan, ogun etc different versions.

In english you say. Yesterday I ate lunch.     the original verb is EAT. the form changed from eat to ate. But in chinese there is no form change you can write. zuotian wo chi wufan. or zuotian wo chi le wufan. There is no verb change that is what makes it very easy. unlike english you have eat, ate eaten. eating. Nothing like that in chinese so part of the learning process is already taken care of.

Oh yea, till today I only speak with my friends because I know if I say something they can laugh and correct me. If i dont know you, I hardly speak because it is a delicate language. like you said if you want to say mom

I will advice you to find someone who is competent enough to do it. Collecting user information depends on what you want to use it for and how you want to use it. You may require a database to store the information so that you can easily go through, or a comma separated file. But the good thing about wordpress is that it has plugins you can use to create forms and addition database fields to collect information.

In terms of speaking, Mandarin Chinese is easier than English and definitely easier than french.

No tenses, like future present, past participle, nothing like that.

But if you want to learn to read and write, well you need patience, reading can be picked up gradually. I am not good just doing ok.

What is the point of giving people the right to be Moderators if they cannot delete threads? or Disable the thread without deleting?

That is a good point. That is why many scientists are Atheists because Carbon dating is a more solid prove of our existence than religion. If the Bible says the existence of earth is only a couple of thousands of years. Where would one place carbon dating, dinosaur skeletons etc. Civilizations that are thousands of years old. If you do not get the drift of all these discussion about Atheism, I urge you to read more and try to find more information about it.

If you dont understand a math problem before a test, you ask friends, read books, and ask teachers if possible.
If you have to write an essay about Paleontology, you google or go to library to find information so it improves your understanding.

If you are curious about what this is all about, I urge you to read books, wikipedia on Atheism and as much resources as possible.

Read all you want, get as much information as you want. If you strongly believe your position about religion before you start finding out information on Atheism, your position will stand firmly strong and wont change much but you have a better understanding and knowledge.

Unfortunately, those are the two most memorable instances. My friends are all tech, intelligent, and people from different countries with varying life experiences including religion. Another Instance,

Since last year some door to door preachers have being knocking on doors where I live in the States. Last year I pretty much was like ok I have time and I will listen. Fast forward to this year. The same women came knocking on our door again. And she was like I remember you from last year and she asked do I have time. I was like hm not really I am somewhat busy (watching G's To Gents). Then she successfully asked a couple of questions. Keep in mind the American financial crisis going on.

So she asked, have you seen anyone losing their homes? I was like well if you drive around here, you will see many foreclosed homes. Then she asked do you see other problems. I was like well there are problems around everywhere. And she was like do you know how to solve the problem. I was like I am not in a position to do what I would like to do to try to amend the situation. Then she said no no no. Do you know the answers to all the problems we are facing are in the Bible. Then i said, well, I think USA is a majority christian country, so if the answers are in the Bible, and the country is majority christians, why are all these problems happening.

I was also like, if you say you have the answers, dont come to meet me to help me, why not go to the government to talk with the government, that way the solutions you are providing will have a wide impact on more people. She looked at me, and she said well I hope you have a good day. and I reply good luck

An experience I had.

I went to visit my sister's friend and then the issue turned to me having a girlfriend. Then she asked, do you have a girlfriend. I said yes. Then she asked where is she from. I then replied China. Immediately, she responded, dont marry non-Christians. So I asked why? Then she said something like most Chinese are not Christians. I said true that she doesnt practice any religion.
