See rubbish talk na...after forming repentant, he ends by saying that all those who stole should be arrested and should return stolen funds if proven. Since he knows he stole and did not do well while in office, why is he waiting for someone to come and prove his guilt? He should simply own up, report himself to relevant government agencies and if those yeye agencies have proper sense, they should immediately charge him to court, secure a court order for the refund his loot and imprisonment!

The crimes Abba Kyari is accused of happened under the watch of the IGP. While yet under supposed 'suspension' and investigation, he is seen freely mingling with the same IG and his family. It only tells us that the IG is aware of and approves of all the underhand, criminal dealings that have been revealed against Kyari.

And in all of these, all the police, still under the IG's watch is proposing is a mere demotion by just one level - from DCP to ACP. He should have been dishonourably dismissed or if only demotion then reduced to corporal or sergeant where he can hardly have any other officers at his disposal to call his 'boys'.

No one in an organisation like the Police can commit this level of crime without knowledge, approval and even involvement of the top leadership. Imagine how many petitions would have come up against him and yet he as continually touted as some 'super cop'! If not for the searchlight by the FBI, none of these would have been heard, ever! There are a lot of superior, compelling arguments for state creation including decentralisation of governance, state police for more effective security, resource control, perhaps even a return to the 1963 regional arrangement. All Buhari saw fit to address was the creation of an additional state for the SE which is more for equity than even the restructuring question and here you are rejoicing? Even his response is completely simplistic at best and if you do know your onions, you will not even bother engaging with a person that can come up wit the kind of question that Buhari did as a response to the issue!
