its not even about Nigeria, politics is everywhere in the world and at every level. politicians will do anything. I once watched a film where a political aspirant was told to run over a bridge and fall in the water like it was a mistake at the expense of his wife and kid in the car and he actually went through with it

FOI is the process but APC states have refused to adhere, its essence is to let all govt body expose its budget, revenue and expenditure. That's why you know how much the presidency is eating in terms of food on a yearly basis and contest or oppose it if you feel its too much. but when you don't know, you can't oppose

In every nonsense, there is always sense. Whether all of it is true or not, what I got from this write up is that all these politicians are thieves whether they are working or not. And let's not drag it back to GEJ, we are in a democracy, GEJ cannot impeach Fashola or any other governor, he can only start a process to expose them. That is why he brought the FOI bill, but Nigerians will not understand the essence and importance of that bill.

Ah! This man deserves to be trounced. How can someone boast of creating 5,400 jobs when there are over 27 Million jobless graduates who have no job or underemployed? Obama has been creating between 230,000-380,000 jobs per month since 2011 summer and many people still think that is not enough and this man is proudly boasting about creating 5,400 jobs in six years. Nigerians never had it this bad before. This is act of cluelessness, wickedness and stupidity.

You must be voted out at all cost.
I believe Nigeria will be great, but not with the likes of you, your backwardness in thinking affects this nation drastically. There is no other administration in Nigeria till present that has "directly" created that am out of jobs. its not all about govt employing people, its about them empowering people to be able to employ other people. If you are not aware that the major countries of the world are driven by private ventures, u need enlightenment. If a terrorist takes out Wall street in the US, America is finished yet there is no govt establish!ment there. Nigerians should try and picture the future, all you people want is jobs, jobs, jobs. Someone is trying to offer you the power to create jobs not just for yourself but others and these are the words that come out from your mouth. Comparing Nigeria to USA? that's just plain myopic, they are over 200 years old, you think they just jumped tho that stage? GEJ has his major failings, but give him credit where its due. And lastly I weep for my country, not because of her predicament but for the likes of you

Well I might be wrong o bur a lot of people do demonic things wiv their gadgets. The bible represents the word of God. How do u expect to be moved by the holy spirit if the medium at which u use to read the bible is corrupted. A lot of youths have pornography on their gadgets and they also have the bible in that same pornography infested gadgets. Who are we deceiving. technology has caused so many problems just as it is solving so many problems.

Only God sees the heart. We all know many Nigerians love to show off. It's not because they love God that much. So most people who use those gadgets are just showing off. Secondly, a hard copy bible to me is an uncorrupted manuscript. People saying but the bible was written in scrolls, it's almost the same as reading from a paper. The bible is meant to be sacred. The bible should be on its own wiv out attachments. How do u read a bible from the same gadget u use to abuse people, gossip people and plan evil against people. If u look at the many horrible conversations wiv have on phone, the many lies etc we do and then u put the bible in that same gadget. Technology has just succeeded in making the bible look like any other novel or e-book cus I tell u the holy spirit cannot dwell in such gadgets. The bible is a sword and a weapon of war fare. When we read the bible, at that moment we are meant to be chaste in reasoning and in thoughts. How do u chastise a gadget?

If u are being attacked spiritually, how do u rush to your gadget that is infested wiv many unprintable things and u think the holy spirit will listen to what is coming out of your mouth. Call me old school, call me illiterate, call me uncivilised, let the bible be the bible and let gadgets be gadgets. That's my take..... everything in life should be done in moderation. the moment we cannot do wiv out that thing, it has become your god......do not be a slave to technology.
This topic is actually interesting because it is up for debate, I love viewing topics from diff perspectives and I understand yours perfectly but I want to say that the concept of the bible is to read and meditate, if some succeeded in burning all the bibles in the world for instance, do we say the world is doomed? NO, because the WORD of GOD should be in our heart as we read it. Regarding your argument about gadgets being a host to porn and medium for abuse on social media, I'll say it is not justified. once you have porn on your gadget and a bible in paperback, it doesn't make you any more a christian than the person that has both porn and bible in his gadget

I never said its wrong, my main point is on how the pastors makes use of it.... They keep bible somewhere else and they make their tabs in place of the bible...
OK lemme enlighten you a bit, there is nothing wrong with e-bibles or it usage by pastors. Churches these days have screens everywhere that shows what's happenings on the altar and the same time serve as a medium to show bible verses quoted by the pastor for the congregation. We have to always understand that we live in an ever evolving world, times will keep changing but the concept of what is written in the bible will not change. Joshua 1:8 holds all the concept of bible idea we ought to have. This book of the law shall not depart from thy mouth, meditate therein day and night. God doesn't care if the bible comes in a stone tab, scroll, paperback, laptop, tablet or whatever technology awaits us in future. What He cares about is that the WORD should not depart from you, read it every time you find the chance to, that is the concept. So pastors can leave their paperback bibles at home and come with an iPad, well it still has the word of God in it. as regards casting demons with the bible, bros I'll advise you to study your bible well and leave this propaganda. the only work of the bible is to edify you, teach you the precepts of God, and learn God's promises concerning your life. It will, I repeat It WILL not help you cast out demons, it is the word in you that will. And oh remember to stop watching Hollywood, I keep telling people it reduces IQ

Nothing wrong with eBibles. Why are you not using a stone tablet or a scroll for your Bible? Why on paper?
Correct, just what I wanted to say. Absolutely nothing wrong. And people that actually believe it is the bible they hold in their hand that does the work while casting out demons should actually try to open that bible to read it

EfemenaXY:

Firstly, It's not about balls but common sense.

You can't compare a man chastising a woman / a man chastising a man, to a woman chastising a man. Do you know what's happened to the few women who tried to tell your fellow men off for being so anti-social?

Secondly kindly explain how you owe society and God that? Who / what is society?

How and what do you owe God with regards to a woman doing what God naturally endowed her with, for her baby? You went to church to hear the word of God, and not to oogle at the poor mother feeding her child. Rather than concentrate on your primary purpose for being there in the first place, you spent a fraction of your time lusting after the shape of her b.reas.ts and hating on her for feeding her baby.

If you were so uncomfortable, why didn't you do the decent thing by changing seats or better still, going to sit outside, away from "temptation"?

Women have been br.eas.tfee.ding their young since time immemorial and that isn't about to change because some man finds it difficult to keep his JT in check.
Take a chill pill, stop being unnecessarily antagonistic. The guy did something and asked if he was right or wrong. Give your reasons for being wrong and leave it at that, what's the need for name calling? Because men whip out their junk in public to take a piss which is wrong BTW doesn't make it right for a woman to whip out her boobs in public too. The woman prolly had a scarf or shawl that she could have used which is not a bad idea

After trying to get a job for so long without any success i decided it's time to start a small business. I'm currently looking at laundry services, football viewing center or a business center. i need you to advice me on any of the listed businesses. which is more profitable and requires less capital to start up? I have raised 150k which is the capital i intend to start with. if you have any other business suggestions, quote me
these businesses are good, but I'll go for either the football viewing center or laundry. but everything boils down to the feasibility of the business in the area you want to set up. To me, football will cost less and get you more profit within the shortest period of time

Religion / Re: Should Christians Give First Fruit Offering? by Callfubu(m): 6:22pm On Jan 04, 2015
The reason I like Christianity is this happening right here, everyone has questions and can create opinions. What I want to say is this, the Bible is a book ordained by God and everything in it is valid, yes there's the new testament to correct some things of the the old like "an eye for an eye".. But you cannot disprove the old testament just because you feel it benefits some pastor more than you, the teachings of first fruits, tithes, offerings, sowing seeds, giving to the MOG are all in the bible at different instances. Some of them are commands by God, some are occasional, some are circumstantial while some come in form of covenants.

Do most MOG use this scriptures as an avenue to exploit the members? The answer is yes.. Most preach prosperity rather than salvation, some others mix it evenly while others focus majorly on salvation. But whatever we say and think, all these things are scriptural and are required of us as Christians. We just have to find a common ground that we are satisfied with. Just because your pastor says try God today and drop all the money in your pocket, doesn't mean you should actually do it, if your faith can't carry you, then please by all means don't. Faith is of different levels, some people pay up to 90% of their income for tithe, they have built themselves to that stage, they didn't just start it on the first day. I think the word is sacrifice, what are we willing to sacrifice for the sake of Christ. Remember it was a little kid that gave all he had " 5loaves & 2fishes" and he got 12 baskets full

For me I see it as giving to God, if the pastor decides to use it for selfish gain then he is the one that will suffer the consequence at the end of the day. I look at it like I've done my part. What I advise is that we go to our scriptures and read extensively, then pray to God and not keep asking these questions everyday. If you no wan pay, dem no go put gun for your head force you to pay

No one knows when Christ was born, all these deductions will take us nowhere, bearing in mind that the most secret things belong to God. Dec 25th is not a mystery, it is a time and date that man chose to celebrate Christ and the world has accepted the date generally. I don't know what the fuss is about. I just see it as a day when we celebrate Christ by preaching the gospel and showing love to your neighbors and the less privileged
