As sjeezy rightfully said, GEJ would have no chance if a Yoruba was running for president.
Either way, I am happy that the SW made the right choice. |

Politics › Re: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by cantell(m): 10:05pm On Apr 11, 2011 |
dondavids: Ngige is a good man, but he made a big mistake when he decided to join a yoruba party, knowing fully well that the cunning and deceitful attitude of the yorubas especially Awolowo is the main reason why Igbo's lost the civil war in 1970 and why the Igbos are still suffering today in a country that they helped to gain independence from Britain. I don't want to see Tinubu boast about conquering Igboland. Ngige should leave ACN now, if he wants to win future elections in Anambra State. How many senatorial seats did Apga or PPA win in the south west. This will show you that the average yoruba man hates every Igbo man. The truth is this, despite my strong support for GEJ, I will honestly state that I will prefer to do business any day with an Hausa man than a Yoruba man, cos yorubas are the most dishonest people on the face of planet earth.
Tinubu is going about decieving people that If they vote ACN, their state will be developed as Lagos was developed by Fashola, but was it not the same Tinubu that almost chased Fashola out ACN not too long ago. The truth is that I don't trust ACN as a party, a good man like Ngige should not have joined a party of Rascals like ACN. I just pity all these people that voted ACN simply because of Fashola's personal achievements in Lagos state, in 4 years time, they really begin to understand why GEJ called ACN leaders (minus Fashola) Rascals.
Fashola is a good man, a progressive and an achiever and people will follow him where ever he goes, and I assure you that If he comes out for president in 2019 under a new party, people will still vote for him. ACN is not Fashola, cos Fashola is much better than every other ACN politican put together. Ngige should leave ACN before he further degraces Igboland. Igbos can never be free till they realise that the yourbas are not the cause of their problems. They keep living in the past and this is one of the reasons why they are still the underdog in politics. |
Politics › Re: Anambra Result Cancelled By INEC Over Irregularities by cantell(m): 9:52pm On Apr 11, 2011 |
rhymz: A lot of nigerians are so dumb and naive, how can anyone take to church such a frivolous accusation without any iota of evidence. Is it not clear to the descerning that Mr Anene is a bloody lier doing somebody's bid? A man whom before the commencement of the elections was caught fake election materials and hounded by the police. I wonder why he was even giveb the chance again to preside over any aspect of the elections. I saw the man on TV and I could tell he was sb's labrador lapping up lies to the media to suit sb's purpose. The guy is a paid alarmist and the pauper I saw on TV couldn't have rejected such offer if realy he was given such an enticement. How come he did not report the case to the police before rushing to the press to get all sensational with his falsehood. Let's face fact here and eschew silly bi-partisan politics. Anaocha which is both the governor's and Akunyili's LGA, there is no how Dora Akunyili and APGA would not have pulled most of the votes there, thesame way he, Ngige pulled most of the votes in idemili north and south his part of Anambra. He is crying foul because he knows if the results from Anaocha was cancelled he will have a clear lead. If he faultd the votes' margine btw him and Akunyili in Anaocha( Dora's own constituency) then same argument should be applied to his wide margin victory in idemili north and south( Ngige's own constituencies). Everybody is just playing politics of mudslinging, Ngige knows the only exit point for him was to divert attention by crying wolf and at least get a re-run as has transpired. He is a sour loser and a desperado, he is fast running out of the the goodwill that he had accrued from Governorship days. Thank God the Anene guy has been removed, it is obvious ACN is using him to fight dirty, seriously, with the ACN tsunami in the Southwest, I see another PDP in the making in not too far a distance. Soon there will be cross-carpeting of aggrevied PDP members and other mushroom parties to ACN just like it happened in Imo state. Thank God ACN did not win any sit in imo state, anyone that has been following the Imo state politics knows that majority of the present ACN members and flagbearers are aggrieved PDP members. These are the people we are shouting change and stuff for? I have observed ACN closely and I have observed that the party has every tendency to turn out like the PDP or even worse. From imposition of candidate to their desperation to nationalize and oust the PDP, hence allowing corrupt money bag politicians that has the fund in any state to use the party platform without any serious scrutiny. No wonder the likes of Ararume are the financier of the party in Imo state. Change in deed! If change means changing an umbrella to a broom when the odds are against a politician then let such change die a natural death and get a decent burial, we Igbos do not need such a placebo in the name of change, it is either the real thing or nothing. J O OJO: I think we should be careful here, this is 9ja politics. It's also possible that Chris Ngige bribed the so called INEC official 2 declare that Akunyili bribed him to tarnish the former minister's image. I mean anything is possible. Nobody bribed that man. I'm saying this because i saw what happened during akunyili/peter obi's campaign in Onitsha. The traders in the market booed them and never gave them a chance to speak. In one of their campaigns, they sang "Ezi na-aga n'ilo for Peter Obi"( A pig is passing by) when he was coming to the campaign arena. How can they win in Anambra when virtually everyone hates the governor and his party members? Prof. Akunyili is popular but not in any comparison with Ngige. Ngige is considered as one of the best governors Anambrarians would ever have. So there's no way Akunyili can win Ngige in a free and fair election. |

Obiagu1: Redo the election, Ngige will not still win. Anaocha is big and Agulu is the largest town in Anambra State with hugh population, so why is Ngige causing trouble everywhere?
He said Peter Obi did not beat him in the governorship, yet he could not prove that in the tribunal, instead he abandoned the tribunal and went to contest for Senator.
He's getting crazy! Damn it! No, you're the one who's getting crazy. Ngige is causing trouble? Are you blind? You need to get ur facts right! |

dem_people: lol. Knew u would say sumfin like that. . .
Very good question. I'm not impressed as you may well know by now.
Well, first of all we must salute ACN for their savvy political strategies and tactics which have paid off for them in this election climate. Their political calculations paid off for them big time. For them to make inroads into the East signifies the failure of APGA to replicate what ACN did in the SW, in the SE. I've watched carefully, the gradual widening misdirection of APGA since 2009 but never expected it to be a failure on this scale.
First of all, it looks like they're a confused party with no sense and articulation of ideas for expansion beyond ethnic borders. Even within the SE, they couldn't win votes. What an abysmal shame. Just look at CPC - just formed last year, already winning elections. The whole APGA thing has been a fraud to say the least.
It was really disheartening to see Peter Obi running around against Ngige (on behalf of Dora) where ordinarily, APGA should by now, have established themselves within the SE with major inroads into the SS. The South-South, by now, should be part and parcel of APGA - if Ojukwu, Obi and Umeh knew what they were doing.
I look up to the sky and I see nothing but circling vultures who have finally come from far but familiar lands, to feast on the carcass of my beloved but politically disintegrated South East.
Oh Akanu Ibiam, Okpara, Mbadiwe, Wachuku, Osadebey, rescue your children for their custodians have lost control of the steering wheel. Right to the point! @Topic, Akunyili couldn't have won Anambra central cos Ngige is well liked by Anambrarians more than Akunyili. During his campaigns, they followed him everywhere and sang praise songs for him. They never forgot what he did during his short-lived tenure in Anambra state. Peter "Ada" wants his party members to secure all the seats at all cost. Instead of him to emulate people like fashola, who literally got the voters to back his party candidates, he chose to take the easy way out - rigging. I believe Ngige will fight for his post or else he would be a fallen hero. As for Peter Obi's supporters in Nairaland(cargoes who has never stepped foot in Anambra for over a year) you can say whatever you like, i don't care. All i know is this, he wasn't the same guy i voted for in his first tenure. |

A pastor once told us that he was persuaded by a group of business men that he will be given 500m naira if he can leave his present church to establish his he refused because of the love he has for the church not what he will gain though the man is wealthy as well. What does this teach us?that christianity is a business that even politicians now supports it is high time they list their stock in NSE and lets those interest have a share of their pie. Oneluv God will see us through and release those that have been blindfolded by the sugarcoated pastors that he has been called or he is a man of God Abi ooo!
