Ukraine is a military capable country which manufactures most of it weapons and also export some eg T80 tanks, drones, war ships, anti tank weapons etc

Ukraine is the 2nd most powerful member of the Soviet union and it's land mass is 2-1/2 to 3 times the size of the UK.

They're cousins to the Russians and have all the nuclear secrets of making nuclear weapons and other weapons.

Ukraine started getting military trainings from US, UK, France, Germany, Canada, Poland etc as well as weapons from NATO countries for 8 Years running.

Almost all Ukraine citizens speak Russian fluently and several Russians also speak Ukrainian language.

17% of Ukrainians are ethnic Russians and the region most profitable are Russians speaking areas of Ukraine.

No matter the propaganda and support the west gives Ukraine, Russia will crush Ukraine even with Ukraine resulting to use of banned phosphorus since the war started and using civilians as human shields.

Ukraine military are firing weapons from close to civilian areas and Russia made a call yesterday that civilians should leave Kyiv etc.

Just think deep, why are the west and Ukraine calling Putin on his direct line asking him to stop the war and withdraw his troops?

There is no similarity between the Cuban missile crisis and the invasion of Ukraine by the irresponsible Putin please. Even if you are not a historian or a student of history, you can seek for information easily.

In 1962, the Soviets in the era of the Cold War secretly tried to instal nuclear missiles easily capable of getting into the mainland USA from Cuba under the late Fidel Castro (who had established communist rule in Cuba) and there was a standoff that lasted many days. The Soviets eventually dismantled them and there was peace.

After the collapse of the old USSR, Ukraine went it’s way and there was an effort to establish democratic governance. The Cold War era set many allies of the USSR back in terms of development. The USSR spent more money on military equipment/development and other infrastructures needed were affected. That was the same problem with their supporters. Eastern Germany for example was far behind Western Germany in terms of development because they were allies of the Soviets. The same today is the reality with North and South Korea. Ukraine wanted the democratic path.

Have you ever heard that NATO or the USA ever forced Ukraine to join with them? NO. It takes processes to join NATO. Ukraine is a sovereign country and reserves the right of association. Putin only gave his excuse. When the old USSR fell apart, Ukraine had the third largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world. They got guarantees from Russia and the west before denuclearization. If Ukraine retained its nuclear warheads, would Putin have dared to make that move?

Your Putin is a desperate and greedy man. His intention is not to safeguard that flank but expansionist. Uranium found in Ukraine will be useful to Russia if seized. He seized Crimea. He intends to invent a new era and let the world recognize his power. Now Russians will pay the price.
