Shokoloko:It was very petty. It was a way of mockery. What's the point she tried to make? Show her rotten self as a good step mother? She named her own son King too, so why call Tonto Dike's son her son knowing that their relationship is non existent? Maybe she needs more publicity using Tonto Dike. That lady should stay on her own lane and leave Tonto Dike to manage her loss where Rosy Muerer was part of the problem with that sneaky Churchill. |
obedience4:Military incursion into governance brings more harm than good. Many years ago Nigeria had.a well organized military. With their interest in political power and looting, we can all see how weak they are. On a good day boko haram, banditry and terrorism would have been history in a matter of days. After several years, the problem lingers. Military leaders become selfish, consolidating their political positions for the sole purpose of looting the economy. Focus is lost and terrorist activities increase. If Mali had the military strength, victory would long have been secured with the presence of the French and UN mission and the 5 Sahel states on their side. |
fyneguy:Your view is confined to APC. Have you taken time to look at PDP? Unfortunately most people think PDP is synonymous with the Igbos only. They seem to have forgotten that PDP controls a state in the SW and will make more inroads having corrected some of their former errors. APC too has some footing in the SE controlling two states and the houses of assembly. We cannot rule out other parties. Popularity does not secure the candidate in most cases, otherwise PMB would have been the president in 2011. Atiku would have been the president with ACN in 2011. The likes of GEJ and Yaradua would not have smelt that position. Looking at our elections, popular candidates lose their elections when voter turn out is very low, among other reasons. A clear example is the contest between Ngige and Peter Obi. You can also have a popular candidate yet protest votes will stop him. Nigeria is so ethnically divided and now we see that the north is not ready to let go. How then have you affirmatively concluded that APC zoning will favour the SW? Looking now at APC, how are you sure that the party will remain as one after PMB leaves? With the various conflicting interests in the APC, how are you sure that zoning will favour the south, not to talk of the SW. If it is zoned to the south, how are you sure that the SS will be not be favoured with Amaechi's ascendancy? Same goes for PDP with the ambition of Atiku, Wike, Tambuwal, etc. |
obedience4:Right. But let's see how it plays out with the Russians as the Malian army having been declared as outcasts by ECOWAS, have latched on to the Russians and Chinese. The Americans have a drone base in Niger republic, so let see how events affect their foreign policy with regards to West Africa and the spread of extreme terrorism. We seem to overlook the fall out of this Malian government decision on other West African states like Nigeria or states of the Sahel region sharing boundaries with Nigeria. |
BigBashiru:I wonder how you came to this conclusion. Please my brother, there are those called the Tuaregs in Mali. The Tuaregs are semi nomadic herdsmen who inhabit northern Mali. They started their demand for independence since 1963. The crisis in Mali predates 2013. However by 2013 the declared their own country as Azamad, having overrun Timbuktu, etc. Hopefully you have heard the name Timbuktu before in the history of West Africa. Mali had witnessed at least 5 coups. The French even though they were the colonialists did not sponsor the Jihadists and no puppet was installed. |
obedience4:Terrorist activities in Mali date back to the 60s but by 2013 under the then President Traore, Mali requested the help of the French government led by Hollande. The problem was the Tuareg claiming Azawad and carving out a part of the country as their own, along with other terrorist groups not almost totally overran the country, but made the country a hotbed for arms smuggling, drugs and human trafficking. I keep wondering how it became neo colonialism. Maybe people do not know what it means. Upon the crisis and the humanitarian crisis, the UN waded into the country, but do not forget that many peace keepers lost their lives. The French had a force of 3,000 men. They were able to push back the Tuaregs and their Islamic collaborators and at least secure the country. Despite the efforts of France with 3,000 men and the UN with 13,000 men, Islamists have continued to spread violence. The 5 countries of the Sahel region have collaborated to curtail the spread of terror by these groups, without much success. With the little time they had when they took over parts of the country, the Tuaregs introduced Sharia in its extreme form and it was resisted before the French arrived. I am sorry to say, Islamists seem to hide under the cloak of the religion to spread evil. If you talk of neo colonialism, you can refer to them. As for the French when you talk of neo colonialism, you talk about installing a puppet and economic exploitation by the colonialist. Can we say that was the case? |
aanuoluwami14:And did you read where the deceased was said to be an old man? |
baralatie:When the military leave their traditional responsibilities and takeover governance, the problem of distraction arises and it leaves the military weakened. Do not forget that most military leaders are caught in the web of looting the resources of the country. I think it is foolish pride on the part of the military leaders to let the French go. They do not have enough resources to fight the economic issues confronting the country, how much more the cost of military equipment and manpower. We see the world gradually returning to the cold war days with new alliances being created. Mali appear to ally with the Russians. Isis and al queda look out for areas to possess and spread terrorism. Hopefully the Malian military can partner with the Russians otherwise Mali may become the major base for jihadists and terrorists in the Africa. |
obedience4:I thought in that direction also. This needs more discussion, especially as the coupists in Burkina Faso gave the growing activities of the murderous jihadists as one of their reasons for overthrowing the civilian government. |
abobote:Was jihadism created by the Europeans? |
We need wholesale suppliers please. Revert if you are still in the business. |
uthlaw:Even if you are a young school leaver, common sense dictates that when people discuss certain issues with respect and decorum, you can either keep quiet or contribute respectfully. At the end you said nothing meaningful. |
OBALOLA55:Be careful what you wish others. |
duro4chang:It does not follow that way. It appears that APC delayed the convention date to look out for how the PDP convention went. PDP chairmanship went to NC and now there is a dilemma in PDP whether to proceed with zoning or abandon zoning. If zoning is adopted and the position of the president is zoned to the south, there is a further dilemma in the south between the SE, SS and SW especially with the SE demanding equity. APC faces the same challenge with zoning of positions. The SW eyes the presidency through BAT with the claim that it is their turn following their role in positioning APC at the center. The SS in APC lays claim to it (potentially through Amaechi) and the SE lays claim too. Whatever plays out in PDP would be replicated by APC. The challenge with APC is the upcoming convention. Will the convention make APC better or will the convention make APC disintegrate with ongoing litigations and others that will arise after the convention? The presidency will not go to the SW. Politicians do not see things the way non politicians see them. |
Hmmmmmm. But I think that the extradition issued against him will remain valid even after he serves jail time in Nigeria. He may serve jail time in the USA after his time in Nigeria. Secondly it is surprising that a very senior security officer like hum could not handle secrecy in his communication. The Americans accused him on the basis of his conversation with Hushpuppi through WhatsApp. I think that he believed that he owned all security agencies worldwide. Endears protests did not cause any noticeable moral change within our police for. I always say that some police officers see their uniforms as shops opened for their daily income. It seems worse now because they seem to have increased their bribe receiving tempo and disregard for what their jobs represent. The time has come for us to build strong institutions and not individuals. |
FreeStuffsNG:Litigations in all the political parties are part of the political processes in Nigeria, but some are more disgraceful than others. You find the more disgraceful ones within the APC. The BAT that you project is presently having his political house disgracefully torn apart by "his boys" like you whom he groomed. Presently APC leaders are in trouble with organizing the congress they fixed for the 26th of February. Court cases cost them elections in 2019 and will cost them more in 2023. Never in our democracy did we witness such carelessness and ineptitude as APC displayed in 2019 with court cases and submission of candidates names to INEC before deadline dates. Presently APC has cases everywhere. They are even scared of what will happen if they can manage to have their convention on the 26th. Certainly as it is traditional with them, they will lose many seats because of intra party litigations. Only yesterday on Channels TV, the commissioner for information in Kogi state and one of the APC youth leaders were disagreeing openly over basic party matters. |
Sirmuel1:Do you think that in giving out to others Ahmed Musa has not secured himself? Do you think that he will get reckless and not secure his future? The young man has secured his own future with great investments. You can check that out. The wealthy are not so foolish to give out so much without securing themselves first. One of the greatest fears that the successful have is the fear of failure. The only persons who spend money spraying electric poles, etc and recklessly are the yahoo boys and ritualists who we see on the pages of newspapers daily. They are those who have a few millions by the evil deeds and want to act like they are Otedola or Dangote. |
Fantastic. Hopefully the gift can help him move up more. Some of our household names are actually passing through difficult times financially. Some erroneously think that they were not financially prudent. In most cases our impression is that they made plenty of money and should have been more circumspect. The truth is the saying that not all that glitters is gold. Many of them only made pittances during their career. At the end of their career, life gets hard. I sincerely hope that well to do stars like Ahmed Musa can from time to time come to the rescue of such people so they can live more comfortably in their old ages. Many thanks to Ahmed Musa for this great gesture. |

logicalman:Oga logical man I clearly understood what you put across. We do not need to debate that! "Your problem is that you don't know what to say". That made me laugh bro. Cheers. |
logicalman:Chai. English sorry, you hear? |
Tokskob2008:And still the bus was seized. That was quite unthoughtful of the man. |
"APC humongous works"? Hahaha. Humongous was the right word to describe 7 years of hardship, poverty, suffering, hatreb, bigotry, tribalism, nepotosm, violence and threat all over the country. |
Rubbish. |
Michelle70:This funny comment should make us all laugh today. Thank you very much and do have a very happy day. |
What a shame on Robinho. |
simhosting:First is the fact of absolute corruption in the political system. Nigerian politicians tend to look out first for opportunities to get into positions where they can loot public funds. Professionals or those we call technocrats do not want their integrity compromised. It keeps them away from the system. Next the political spaces are controlled by the politicians. They put you there, exert pressure on you and expect you to loot and deliver to them. Professional politicians have the fear that certain technocrats must not be allowed to get there otherwise they will hijack the instruments of the party from them. There are several reasons sincerely. |
Their serious infighting is a "welcome development". Hopefully it will lead to a correction of the remote control - according to PMB - used to get the governorship for APC four years ago. We also hope that it will further herald their removal from this country and restore their contributing parties to their former regional positions. |
May the day be glorious. May the marriage be joyful, peaceful, fruitful and successful. Indeed the lady has a good heart. |
Bastard1stborn:Thank you for sharing your personal ritual money making experience. Which babalawo do you patronize please? |

congratulations to him because devil will beat the hell out of him. A old fool just disgraced himself and his family's image.
