This one is medicine after death. As far as there are no punitive measures in place to deal with those dubious miscreants in that market. My best advice is for a new person is to stay away.

Don't attempt to buy Electronics as a new person in the market. You're better off buying from Lawanson or any other market.

I lost #60k in that market. And I swore never to step into that market.

And this is not about tribe. The main guy that scammed me was Haruna then supported by my Igbo brothers. I see it as the culture of the market. The tales from first timers experience in that market has always been horrible. And don't try to blame it on the guys doing osoafia. They are in Idumota and Balogun too. In fact I use them alot. They earn commissions from the stores and each time I make use of any of them I still tip them because they save me alot of time especially when I'm looking for a particular design of wears.

Like I said earlier, fraud is the culture they have adopted in Alaba market as a virtue.

If you have never been to Alaba before to buy Electronics better stay away. You're 99.99% likely to be scammed. So why take that chance?

My friend has bought used electronics from Lawanson and got home it didn't work as expected and she returned it and collected her money in full no dragging. There are hundreds of traders in the market who actually refund monies to customers. It is quite unfortunate that the bad eggs who hang around have damaged the image of the good people inside the market. Do you want to say that Samsung, Polystar, etc for example, are part of these bad eggs?

Nigerians generally want to cut corners. What seems too good to be true is well loved by our people. If you have an issue with any trader you are free to complain to the task force and surely you will get good judgement.

For those who have never been there. If you want any item please walk into the market and confidently to any shop. Do not allow yourself be guided by an osoafia person. You can walk around the market, ask questions, feel free before you make your decision to pay for any item.

Lastly Alaba market remains the best market of that level and size in the whole of Africa.

You have two options here I think:

1. Get the letter of administration

I think it is safer, simpler, easier and faster to get the letter of administration. The other route (litigation) is costlier, longer, cumbersome, physically/mentally/financially draining.

Look at that same1 Cor 7: 1-2 (NIV) again and tell me where says "marry" in vv1. KJV which I now quote too, just like other versions use similar words "now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman".

Here in 1 Cor 7:1-2 Paul addresses one of the questions written to him by the Corinths, just like 7:25; 8:1; 12;1; 16:1; 16:12. Other versions aside from KJV & NKJV use the words "sexual relations" instead of "touch" and NOT "marry".

Please if you are a Christian always endeavour to read your bible very clearly for better understanding.

Paul only counsels in 1 Cor 7: 7 - 9 to those who cannot contain their flesh to get married. The reason for this is to avoid the sins of fornication and adultery.

Please open your bible to Genesis 1:28 "God blessed them and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it: and have dominion, etc..". That's God giving man authority. For man to multiply and fulfil this order, man needs a woman and so you"ll find in Genesis 1:27 "male and female made he them". Also look at Genesis 2: 18 and Genesis 2: 22 - 25. In Gen 2:25 it says "and they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed". The words man and his wife are found there. Marriage was ordained for:

1. Procreation
2. Sexual pleasure of the couple as highlighted by Paul in 1 Cor 7. Not for singles.

If the purpose of marriage is not to curb fornication and adultery, then what is it for?
Paul clearly advises everyone to steer clear of the sins of fornication and adultery by doing the right thing, i.e, marry.

Please read your bible thoroughly. Do not allow yourself to me misled or you mislead other people by the above total falsehood.

I don't want to start a controversy but the Apostles are part of the problem of today's Christians. Most of the counsels they gave were from their heads and they were included in the Scripture. They confirmed it on several occasions that they were the one's speaking and not the Holy Spirit.

That is part of his calling, ministry and training. Reverend fathers are more than qualified to counsel in marriage matters. Couples who have issues meet them abd have their issues sorted out. Now when has counselled, the lot falls on the counsellees to follow up.

For marriages to work, both parties must be up and doing. If both parties fail even after Godly counsel, then they have themselves to blame.
