What your pix says to me: You are a classic case study in contradictions – You use them to differentiate yourself from the crowd as you detest the go-with-the-flow mindset. Loyalty is one of your top three desirable traits, although you’re learning to live with the disappointments of others. Here’s how you spell fun: p-a-t-w-h-i-z-k-i-d!

What your pix says to me: You are off the charts in the Power Dimension – You either seek power to show-off or to right a wrong (euphemism for revenge). You would love to dominate your field or enterprise. You do not subscribe to use-and-dump; on the contrary, you are a kind ‘master’, but a ‘master’ all the same. Regardless of where you go in the world, Naija is beating in your heart.

Nairaland General › Re: What Is Real Money? by canuck(m): 3:17pm On Oct 29, 2009
Money (Cash) is a merely a measure of value; it is NOT value per say. Those that say money is what they see with their naked eyes are preoccupied with the utility value of money - This is the bane of the culture that make up Third World nations.

On the contrary, the intrinsic value of money recognizes money as a tool for the creation of more money, not as a master to be worshipped and acquired (without rendering real value), e.g. fraud, corruption, ritual killings, kidnapping, idolizing 'big men', poor industry, etc.

Real money cannot be seen with the naked eyes - It is intangible.

Hope this helps. Great question though.

After a few months on Nairaland, I can’t help but notice the variety of non-portrait pictures & short movies used by NLanders in their profiles. (Sagamite did a good/funny job on the female portraits)

Since your profile pix was chosen by you out of millions available in cyberspace, it must mean something to you. And if it means something to you, it tells me something, gives me just a little glimpse of who you are as a person.

My assessments are based solely on the pix uploaded; they have nothing to do with members’ previous postings or points of view. Tell us if I come close. I truly enjoyed doing this mini-project. Hope you find it interesting. . . Enjoy!

You are dealing with a very needy person in dire want of emotional and social validation. Assuming she's not diabolical (you cannot know that until it's too late), it is still an unhealthy relationship.

People like her will NEVER heed indirect communication - "Haba, are you my husband's second wife?" - Lai lai!

Excerpt -

Until 2006, ambassadors retiring from their post or moving country traditionally sent a valedictory dispatch to London, offering their candid personal assessment of the country in which they had served.

(In 1969), David Hunt -- then high commissioner to Nigeria -- said the West African country's leaders had "a maddening habit of always choosing the course of action which will do the maximum damage to their own interests."

"Africans as a whole are not only not averse to cutting off their nose to spite their face; they regard such an operation as a triumph of cosmetic surgery," Hunt claimed in his letter.

Here are plausible reasons, not an exhaustive list, why I think one may not fly the Nigerian flag abroad:

1) You are an illegal undocumented immigrant
2) You are low on the totem pole (social status)
3) You still hate your parents for flying back to Naija (from the UK, US, etc), on the 9th-month of your pregnancy grin
4) You are a "runnings" kinda guy/gal (i.e. fraudster)
5) You just don't want to be responsible for unpredictable 150 million Nigerians
6) You just watched a 3-day CNN Special - Nigerian Frauds In America (Yeye CNN!)
7) You "escaped" from Naija, and don't want anything to do with her

. . .And the list goes on.

Not good enough reasons though, IMHO.

Ladies (and men) who usually get voted "Most Likely to Succeed" in social settings, especially all levels of schools, mostly end up at the bottom of the pyramid, middle-of-the-road.

1) Gunshot wounds from trigger happy Olopa
2) If you survive that one - Gunshot/machete wound from dare-devil robbers (Call 911? See #1 above)
3) Serious beating from Navy Ratings or Army 'korofo' for obstructing their oga's way

6) Watching helplessly as your nation's resources are pilfered, wasted and mismanaged at the same time
