Katsumoto: The same leftwing lazy rhetoric.Let me ask you a questionn - Did it make sense to shut down the mines and dump thousands of people onto the dole queue ? was that more cost effective? I really dont understand the logic of creating mass unemployment and adding more pressure to the social security system . Mister blinkered man - let me list to you the legacy of Thatcher's mine closures: drug addiction, astronomical rise in crime rate, suicide increase, the rise of casual exploitative non unionised labour , alcholism adding not only more pressure to the social security system but to the national health service - was it worth it? Today many british workers can be hired and fired at the whim of their employer all as a result of Thatchers dismantling of the unions - again i ask you - was it worth it? So thatcher created home ownership - please get your facts right - you do not own your home if the bank grants you a mortage on it -you are merely a tenant of the property until you have paid off the mortgage to the bank - shortly after the 1980 right to buy scheme was lauunched by Thatcher interest rates shot up this resulted in many of these former so called home owners losing their properties because their mortgage repayments became astronomically expensive - so in other words she fooled the british public into a sense of false security and later snatched the rug from underneath them by putting up intrest rates - how was this a good thing? The only people who benefitted from thatcher's policy were the upper middle class and the city of london bankers who make up a tiny minority of the british public - the average joe lost out. I dont expect you to understand any of this because being of a typical nigerian mindset you identify with your oppressor even when that oppressor has his foot on your neck. |
Katsumoto: And why should folks who were running from their own countries and who couldn't bring positive change to their own countries have a say in how another country is run?I think you will find that Britain were behind the reason that those folks were leaving their countries of origin for greener pastures. Lets take nigeria for instance - who installed a puppet regime of northerners on the south in 1960? who armed and funded the nigerian army against the biafrans? who installed Obasanjo part 1 and 2 and IBB on us? who removed buhari ? who was the architect of SAP? |
occam: One more reason to hate this woman:You are very correct -immigration and race have always been fundamental to the conservative party who always use it to secure votes when their policies are becoming unpopular. In a 1979 election campaign speech she successfully secured victory by warning the already racist white british of the need to clamp down on non white immigration, forgetting that less than two decades earlier, west indian workers were brought to the UK to do all the menial jobs due to huge labour shortages that britain was suffering as a result of the second world war. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHhKI5ijnxQ |
JeSoul: Fellow NLders,You do this forum a great disservice by hiding posts unecessarily, i think your focus should be on the substance of what the person is posting and not on the words being used. I mean what was the point of hiding a post which is merely a quote from another source ? it makes zero sense to censor poster's views simply because they offend your very fragile and delicate sensibilities. |
VolvoS60: ^^^^^I dont get where you are coming from - why was it necessary for her to have closed down the mines? why was it necessary for her to have spear headed the deindustrialisation of the british economy - which led to major outsourcing of british manufacturing jobs to the far east and mass unemployment in this country? she is the architect of the problems we are having today in this country - she started the deregulation of the financial industry which is what enabled the bankers to run wild and which culminated in the recent 2008 financial collapse - i mean everything this woman touched turned to ashes - even the right to buy housing programme was unsustainable because not long after interest rates went through the roof and many people who purchased council homes under this scheme could no longer afford their mortgages. |
another comment from another british person who recently heard of her death: The CU....NT has finally dropped dead. YAY!!!!!! :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVLtinCWGwE |
not sure why my earlier post was deleted. ![]() Don't mind them, bros. It's the same sort of uncleTom Nigger mentality that's forever on display on NL for all the world to laugh at us. Self-loathing ignorant B.S. https://www.nairaland.com/1250160/photo-queen-elizabeth-ii-oba/3
Do you think im bothering with these uncle toms - these dumb arses are the same people who will shed tears when the likes of IBB, obasanjo and other looters leave this earth - the british public are very clued up about their leaders unlike nigerians. I just read a comment on a youtube video written 3 years ago about thatcher: When Maggie dies, can someone stick a wooden stake in her heart just to make sure she never comes back or is reincarnated.this was written three years ago - this is the level of hatred working class british have for this woman because of the havoc she wreaked in their lives. |
VolvoS60: Thatcher...a highly controversial figure.I think the evidence is all around you to see. |
Reference: C'mon. Gordon Brown was equally ejected like a spent shell casing even after kicking the unions to the kerb. No one wants an ungovernable state like France.Funny, how come britain is running a trade and budget deficit and had to bail the banks out to the tune of over £1 trillion pounds followng the banking crisis of 2008? |
Reference: C'mon. Gordon Brown was equally ejected like a spent shell casing even after kicking the unions to the kerb. No one wants an ungovernable state like France.Brown was merely continuing a legacy that had been put in place by Thatcher. New Labour is a watered down version of the Conservative party. |
Cameron dare not give this woman a state funeral |
Reference: He,he,he. Because she fought organised labour to a stand still. That's why Britain today is not another Spain or Greece run by unions and sinking under mountains of EU bailout cash. What is it with you people? its not as if you are benefitting in any way from any of the policies that she implemented - the unions were responsible for protecting the rights of ordinary british workers - if we had a decent worker's union in nigeria do you thing Goodluck Jonathan could have gotten away with hiking up the price of petrol without any severe repercussions on his tenure in office? I can tell you that Thatcher's arrogance and contempt for the poor led to her demise in 1990 when she was humiliatingly forced out of office following the council tax riots which threatened to tear this country apart. |
Lets see if Cameron has the balls to give this woman a state funeral - I can't see the British people tolerating that. |
shymexx: Anyway, I'm done with Maggi - only Ronald Reegan beat that...Remember how her statue was decapitated? This is how much she is hated in this country: [b]On July 3, 2002, Paul Kelleher decapitated a £150,000, eight-foot (2.4 m), 1.8-tonne (2.0-short-ton), marble statue of the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on display at the Guildhall Art Gallery in central London.[1]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decapitation_of_a_statue_of_Margaret_Thatcher |
shymexx: Why can't you go say that to their facesHe wouldnt dare. |
anonimi: You should speak for yourself please.I knew it would be just a matter of time before ignorant sycophantic nigerian lap dogs would jump to this woman's defence - from your utterances i can see you do not understand anything about the UK - the miners that lost their jobs in northern england were they lazy loafers? the neutering of the unions, the mass unemployment, the deregulation and privatisation of the public sector which has led to off shoring of jobs and mass unemployment which we are still battling with in this country today - please do not speak about things you know nothing about. |
adaobi123: The harsh comment was banter thing. Even though dying ain't a good thing. To be honest she lived long and had a very comfortable life - i mean she is very fortunate to have lived till 87, many of her victims will never get the same chance, all the lives she destroyed, all the hopelessness and despair she caused........... |
adaobi123: Ahhh ! So harshYou dont know anything about this woman that's why you said that - she destroyed the livelihood of working class people in this country and encouraged selfishness, individualism and greed - the only beneficiaries of her draconian economic policies were the rich and the banking elite - she completely decimated jobs in the northern part of England and i can tell you that the average british person will not mourn her departure. |
adaobi123: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-22067155Good riddance |
bakynes: Red light your my main man we have d same kind of mentality I ve been telling pple arnd me to come out for a revolution in this country because I have lived abroad and am back now and they way we are living in dis country is 100 percent suffering I see ow d british govt takes care of their pple. The issue of religion even the british that brought christianity to us don't even go to churches like we do over here am just so fed up ow long do we keep folding our arms and let d leading class of dis country destroy d future of dis nation and the future of our kids unbornThe reason revolution will be very difficult to acheive in this country is because the british have used divide and conquer tactics to destroy us, ask yourself why the January 1966 Nzeogwu revolution did not work - Major Nzeogwu was a patriotic nigerian - born in the north of igbo origin but fluent in hausa - in fact he was more fluent in hausa than his native igbo, his fellow hausa officers regarded him as their brother but when push came to shove hausas were led to beleive that the january 1966 coup was an attempt by igbo officers to usurp power from the hausas who had been installed in the corridors of power by the british. The truth of the matter is that Nzeogwu was nigeria's version of Gamal Abdel Nasser - former and late president of egypt - Nasser was a former army colonel who led the Egyptian revolution of 1952 which succeeded in removing the pro british monarchy from power. Until nigerians find a selfless nationalist leader like Nzeogwu there is no hope for the future of nigeria. |
Michaeljones36: Blacks are used to subjugation and slavery.so why did the black africans of Haiti emancipate themselves from slavery in 1804? [b]The Haitian Revolution (1791–1804) was a slave revolt in the French colony of Saint-Domingue, which culminated in the elimination of slavery there and the founding of the Haitian republic. The Haitian Revolution was the only slave revolt which led to the founding of a state. The revolution was one of the two successful attempts, along with the American Revolution, to achieve permanent independence from a European colonial power for an American state before the 19th century. Furthermore, it is generally considered the most successful slave rebellion ever to have occurred in the Americas and as a defining moment in the history of Africans in the New World.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haitian_Revolution |
syras: This is insanity of the first order.we heard you the first time |
donedy: Just look at your logic, defending Kanye's dish on Amber Rose but dishing that of Ray and you still claim you ain't supporting Kim.i'm not - my first post will tell you what i think of the whole lot of them. All im saying is that at least Kanye was clever and creative enough to make his own diss song about Amber funny, in doing so he didnt come across like a sad loser which is exactly how Ray J comes across in that pathetic "song". |
oyb: when cap28 is defending a white ho made good over the antis of a black loser you know raj jays falling hand is a super mega double facepalmwoah woah woah - im definitely not defending fame hungry hoe kim kardashian - please read my first post on this thread, im just saying that ray j is a platinum plated douche bag and a sore loser, a dignfied silence about their relationship would have worked a lot better than this pathetic song. |
At least Kanye's diss record about Amber Rose was funny and the song was catchy with Chris Rock doing the dissing and John Legend on piano: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTxT3tSJ9_Q |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb3uU0XdlKE I've just listend to the song on youtube and i have to say it is one of the worst songs i've ever heard in my life, this Ray j is a complete loser and really needs to get a life jeez. ![]() |
