Majority of APC governors are from the North while majority of PDP governors are from the South. So, the now popular PO will end up diminishing PDP block votes from the SS&SE. A vote from a single LGA from Kano or Katsina is almost equal to the entire crowd that came out for PO in Onitsha. Adeyanju is right, a lot of folks forgets that APC remains the ruling party. Buhari has already said he will campaign vigorously for the party (especially in the North). Tinubu & other leaders will take care of the south west, while alliances would be made to salvage votes from SS&SE to make up some numbers. My view.

For anyone doubting the resolve of Wike to work for Asiwaju, this is your answer. I love the bolded, support who you will benefit from.

With Wike, Asiwaju can be sure of at least 25% of the votes which is a great feat considering the fact that both Obi & Atiku will dilute each other votes. If you fail to secure bloc vote from Rivers, where else will Atiku get the numbers in the South?

The only thing that can give Atiku a lifeline in this election is if Peter Obi withdraw for him coz for every one vote Peter Obi gets, it is -1 for PDP and +1 for APC.

Religion - Everyone knows d north is where d major chunk of d electorates are n they are majorly Muslims,I tell u for sure that majority of northerners will think twice before voting a pastor.
That already reduces Christian aspirants votes in apc n it give tinubu an edge cos he’s also a muslim


Influence - we started hearing d name osinbajo when buhari picked him as running mate,which means he’s new in d game of mainstream politics unlike atiku that have been around since d early 90’s
I believe u won’t want to compare atiku n osinbajo.
Don’t forget tinubu have also been around since d days of abacha n nadeco

Wealth - do I need to remind u that atiku just relegated oil money (rivers bullion van) so comparing osinbajo to atiku in terms of wealth is like comparing ladies bike to dangote trailer,only tinubu can do that

Servitude,loyalty,respect- people like saraki can open their mouth n call osinbajo a mere commissioner but can’t say half to tinubu n I believe u know,ganduje,el rufai n co will find it easy to roll with tinubu n refer his as their leader than a pastor who many of them low key see as an infidel

Atiku vs any other aspirants is an easy win for atiku
Atiku vs tinubu can b regarded as clash of d lords cos they are bosses in their different lanes

Reno is right. Wike actually got most of his votes from the North. His southerner fellows are the ones that messed him up, especially that Udom. I have reasons to believe that if Udom had countered the Tambuwal capitulation to Atiku by also stepping down for his SS brethren Wike, that could have changed the momentum in Wike's favour.

Udom knew quite well that he stood no chance of winning, yet he went ahead and split Wike's votes, while Tambuwal stepped down for his Fulani brother in the North East region. That was the game-changer that probably swayed some votes in Atiku's favour.
