Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Most Nigerian Hotels Have Only Bibles In The Rooms? by CaptainFM1: 7:54pm On Oct 21, 2018
Joevics:
Same reason anyone can comment on a christain thread here. But one is required to swear an oath before commenting on any Islamic thread.

Christainity as a religion is open to all and transparent.

There are Muslims who will find it offensive, if they see you reading the Quran.
Christians on the other hand, encourage you to read the Bible.

Before you say anything, I know muslims who don't like anyone talking about the Quaran.

I like your comment. Christian is indeed a religion that cares about salvation of everyone. The same thing you see churches distributing bibles to prisons. Evangelism is a core duty of a christian.
Education › Re: I Missed A Re-scheduled Exam Because I was Late. Please advice by CaptainFM1: 1:31pm On Oct 21, 2018
Failure has been proven to be a better motivator than success. If you haven't learnt one or two things from this situation, then no advise will help. However, you can speak to the lecturer in person first before meeting the HOD. If you are not the only one that missed the exam because of the change in time, then you can collectively arrange a meeting with the Lecturer. Explore solutions from bottom to up. Don't table your complaints to the Dean directly without meeting the lecture, and HOD.

This is pure blasphemy.
It is an unforgivable sin to stand on the altar with a rifle.

This type of sin won't have gone unpunished in the days of the biblical Moses and David.
Sometimes I get angry with the Lord for being such a merciful God.

Christianity as a religion of peace and longsuffering must not be associated with any tool of violence.
(Matthew 26:52, Luke 6:29, John 18:11)
Who determines blasphemy? Human or God? We cannot fight battle on God's behalf.... Allow God to fight his own battle.

I wonder what Obi will tell the Northern people especially the Hausa and Nupe Muslim community why as a governor in Anambra he decided discriminate against them by demolishing their markets, like the Northern Goat dealers Market , Arewa Park , Arewa Onion Dealers Park etc

You are judged by your appearance whether you like it or not.
If someone dashed him that cloth and that's the only piece of cloth he has to wear to hawk his groundnut.....Afterall, he doesnt want to steal! We may not know the entire circumstances.

I've seen a very rich man presumed mad by everyone because he wore only pant and looked tattered. But unknown to many he had just been released by kidnappers after about 2 months in captives. He tried to tell his story, but people already judged him by his appearances.

Atiku has advised this man to warn lifeless not to tamper with next year election, and to be honourable enough like GEJ to call and congratulate Atiku when he lose.

Unbiased... now let's add the figures , when adding, remember ALL.. I mean almost ALL the registered voters in the core North including the underage will come out to vote. Can't say the same for south west , south east or south south. A little violence is all that is needed in the south and the election in the south or North central get cancelled or become inconclusive . That's if Buhari hasn't wn already
We all know at this stage that APC can't win any election without rigging. And their newly found approach now is to declare election "Inconclusive" when they start feeling the heat of losing.
Christianity Etc › Re: Which Psalm Works For You As A Christian? by CaptainFM1: 8:03am On Oct 14, 2018
Hakeem12:
The usual definition of a miracle is an event not explicable by natural or scientific laws. By that definition, no miracle has ever been proven to have happened, so we can say that miracles are not real.

The miracles attributed to Jesus in the New Testament were written down more than forty years after Jesus is said to have lived and were, at best, based on hearsay or, at worst were literary creations designed to foster belief in the newly emerging faith. Acts of the Apostles is now believed to have been written early in the second century, when the events it portrayed were already a whole lifetime in the past. Whereas Actscould portray Peter and Paul as having long ago performed miracles, this was a luxury Paul could not indulge in when writing his epistles because those to whom he wrote his epistles actually knew him and could challenge any claim to having performed a great miracle.

So it was throughout the early centuries of Christianity. Miracles were always reported as taking place in a more distant place or time, such that readers of the accounts were unlikely to be able to challenge the truth of the miracles.

When Catholicism began to become more involved with the veneration of the Virgin Mary, there was a lot of interest in whether she would appear and provide messages of support. She soon began to appear, but her appearances were generally to poor children in remote communities. Children who reported seeing a strange woman in the neighbourhood were encouraged to elaborate on their stories until they became clearer visions of the virgin Mary, but disinterested adults were never able to confirm the sightings.

The important Mexican Guadalupe tradition is of a poor Indian named Juan Diego who saw a vision of the Virgin Mary on 9th December 1531, barely ten years after the Spanish Conquest, asking him to have a chapel built in Tepeyac in her honour. 9th December is the day after the feast of the Immaculate Conception. This tradition is unknown until we find it written down a hundred years later by Father Miguel Sanchez.

Random events, such as remission of disease or survival of natural disasters are sometimes spoken of as miracles, but these can be excluded because atheists and people of every possible faith are equally likely to survive.

Perhaps we could redefine a miracle as the record of an amazing event that supposedly took place long ago or in some distant place, such that it is no longer possible to refute the evidence.
Dress up and go to church! Only Jesus can save your soul.

Keep deceiving yourself, was planning to move to Ajao estate around that axis but a friend said that road has been that way since 2017 and it's worries the residents.
Why are Nigerians so complicated? You see a visible project going on and you are complaining, you don't see, and you will still complain.

SportyBET, You try and move when the road is completed and see if you won't pay double. Just ordinary bridge in Abule Egba shot 3Bedroom from N600,000 to N1000,000.

Only people that are smart will know the value of development! You said 2017, and I laff in "Dauranas" if they started just last year, so you expect them to hurriedly complete it in 6months because you want to move to that axis or because the residents are complaining?

Well, If you cant wait for it to finish, there are other areas that they have not put catapillars. Lagos is a beautiful city, you will enjoy anywhere u pick base on your budget! Peace

Was it not foolishness to abandon Badagry expressway and embark on another big money road project,? How about completing one project first before starting another? Hope the next governor will not abandon this one and start his own project also
You can embark on multiple projects if you can fund it. Lagos has the resources to do that. Moreover more jobs will be created with multiple projects which is a way of reinvesting into the people.

Isn't that cheating! Because Kogi election has come and gone, this smart ass are transferring the voters to Enugu and other states. So these politicians are playing extra smart now, the same way they will also mop candidates from Ekiti and Osun in the name of transfer! INEC should please check and validate the authenticity of their transfer.
