You are right, the secret here is the young man’s focus right now is making it for himself, a young man that could stand under the sun to hustle cares little about women’s validation and attention.

Many years ago I remember this distant uncle of mine used to come visit us in the village. He would come and stay some days and it’s till another 4 to 8 months before we see him again. He has a disability on his right eye. He does not see with the right eye. One day a woman came to visit us with her little baby, the woman was blind on her left eye and it happened she’s wife to uncle Bernard. She came to meet mama to settle marital issues She was having with Bernard.


All through the time of her stay with us I was doing Sherlock homes job to unravel how husband became blind on his right eye and wife on her left eye.

After She left, I asked mama this mysterious question, She bursted out laughing because She saw the way I was looking at the woman in confusion.


Then mama told me a story of how Bernard married his wife with the disability. After some years, Bernard was in bed sleeping when he noticed something dropped on his eyes and damaged the right eye. It was said that no one knew who poured the acid on his eyes.

This is really deep. I have been having feelings of regret ever since I saw what the story of the prodigal son is actually talking about.

If you squander what was giving to you, it cannot be recovered. If you abuse your body that houses the temple of God, God will always forgive you, but that which your body had lost is lost forever.


A perfect example is a man that is spending money to treat a sexually transmitted disease because of his recklessness. God will always forgive him if he seeks forgiveness but his body is not forgetful even if he becomes well. The example is not entirely about sexually transmitted diseases but the act of going against the laws that makes you one with your creator. This laws cannot be broken nor cheated. This is why people fall sick and die because the body and the soul becomes weak to continue the fight. This is not even about whether you are a Christian or a pagan. You don’t even have to be a Christian or an atheist to see what this Bible verse is saying.
