You're not weird. I don't care either as long as she has her life and relationship in order. |
This should not come as a surprise, given that tens of thousands of Yoruba people were forcibly taken to Cuba during the 18th and 19th century transatlantic slave trade and they fiercely preserved key aspects of their Yoruba identity and legacy which has become integral to Cuban culture till today. |
Too bad he didn't die a slow and agonising death Update: I now understand what the Palestinians are fighting for. Israel, enabled by the collective West are the real terrorists. |
LegendHero:"Iran for chop Israel raw" without US support? Ok na |
AdisaMighty:That's always my favourite seat where I can see the flaps of the wing protract and retract. Needless to say that once you fly Qatar, you may not want to fly another airline. Enjoy your flight. |
Righteousness2:The read is about a far away galaxy that's more than 8,000 times bigger than the sun. This doomsday preacher is talking about earth . For context, the sun is 1.3 million times bigger than earth. Now imagine a galaxy that's more than 10 billion the size of earth and there are many more galaxies out there than scientist can count. Earth is so irrelevant and there's no sky daddy up there. |
Yoruba Party in the UK What an absolute shame ![]() |

Some Russian women will f#&k you silly. You will think it's a r@pe session. Especially when they've had that their vodka. |
Moneyfem:This is either a spotted bush snake or a Western Natal Green Snake and both are not venomous. |
This is a Snouted Night Adder. (Look at the black V shape stripe on its head) Although venomous but its venom is not life threatening to humans.

The British stole and proudly displays artefacts that represents and embodies our ancestral belief and sold us Jesus Christ. But you want them to take you serious on the issue of returning the artefacts when we are busy replacing our identity ourselves. We really have a very long way to go. |
Floky215:I wouldn't have said this any better |
What in the name of Ekpenyon is this |
CoronaVirusPro: Nahunger:I still struggle to understand the rationale behind Nigerians urge to always choose a side in wars and unrest that doesn't remotely concern them. Same with Ukraine and Russia. Is your problem Coronavirus or Hunger? |
fullclub:Please don't waste your time on indeed. More often than not, the emails you get from them about a prospective job are normally AI generated. Put your CV on reeds, totaljobs, CV library and set your profile to open. Get in touch with Job agencies; bluearrow etc. If you have a dependant, there may be hope for you if they can work. I believe there's a Nigeria community on twitter, you may want to join the community just in case because I've heard people share job updates there. Hang in there and wish you best of luck |
Aremson14:I can't think for you sir. Do what you think is best for you. Which of the two options aligns with your long term goal and aspiration? |
I remember warning people a while ago to use logic before deciding to come to the UK, rather than the typical Naija's attitude of "We will cross the bridge when we get to it" No one is saying you shouldn't come to the UK but make sure you've paid your school fees in full before stepping foot on the plane and have some money left to sustain you for at least 9 months. You CANNOT pay part of your school fees and believe you will be able to hustle for the balance on a 20 hours/ week job, especially if you're a solo student with no dependent but it seems people just want to get the UK visa by all means. I've seen fully grown men and women beg for food, money and accommodation because they either can't balance their school fees or they arrived and realised there's no health care job waiting for them. UK is a hostile place to be if you're an immigrant and broke. |
Where is the soup? This okra is fried |
Unprofessional bodyguard. Pushing back someone who is going through a door, whisking Kizz Daniel away from the lady who requested for a picture. Yes he's huge but him size dey. |
Oh no. Not one of this again |
AmazingELixir:Rico is not a pet. Rico is a valued member of the police force (SWAT), skilled at sniffing out criminals where human police or robots can't reach. |
Chinny024:No Chinny I don't support it but I don't judge either. My point is that men are not Jesus, neither are women saint Mary. The case of men sleeping with housemaid and women sleeping with gateman is different to a setting where either party deliberately cheat on the other outside of their home. It's best to avoid a situation where your morals will undoubtedly be tested. You don't leave a banana dangling in front of a monkey. |
Chinny024:But it's within the frame of sanity for wives to sleep with Adamu that is in charge of manning the gate? Your medal for moral policing is still in its design stage. |
A woman that is cooking and taking care of a man's household and maybe beautifully made and good to stare at twice as the icing on the cake? Pressure go dey na. That's one reason why I won't have a housemaid in the first place. I see myself as a decent enough person and morally upright (If I do say so myself) but this scenario may present the chance of losing a speck of that moral. Housemaid may want it and you know deep down that you will like to play dirty as well. It may be messy in the end when sh1t hits the fan but we don't think about that mess at first. |
Nigeria but also proud that my freedom and right of abode is not limited to Nigeria alone because what the hell! |

New urban dictionary entry (Keefe'd) - When you think you've got away with a crime and it comes back to haunt you 27 years later. That means you've been "Keefe'd". Enjoy the rest of your years in prison Keefe |
Yankiss:Ok but he has "buildings" and has fast cars ![]() |
I doubt Mohbad died before he was buried. I think he died in the grave |
I agree with almost all of them. In my own case however, (1) Food - An area 20 minutes drive from me is littered with Nigerian/African restaurant and they serve varieties of good delicacies but the real touch of the Naija flavour is missing, also you can hardly get real goat meat. (Ogufe) and you also can't compare the offals to the ones in Nigeria. (2) Social life: - You may suffer if you are a JJC but overtime you will find your "people" and learn to work around other commitments. (3) Women: - Given the fact that I didn't have that much experience with Naija girls in Nigeria, I'm curious to explore when I visit but erm... plenty girls here of various race that will happily date/bed you if you know the game. (4) Work-life balance: - Don't be quick to conclude on this because of the situation of a 48 year old man. This largely depends on job or industry. Majority of office based jobs now are hybrid; 2 days in the office, 3 days at home kind of settings and weekend is all yours of course. Again it depends on job and industry. (5) Friendliness: - This is true to some extent but I understand what you mean. I prefer it that way though, acquaintances are acquaintances, work colleagues are work colleagues and of course relationship in this settings can grow into something more personal if you share same values, hobbies, etc. (6) Church: - Erm...Cancelled. I'll rather be looking after myself after a few drinks the night before, or just relax generally. The guys that introduced christianity to Nigeria don't go to church, why should I? (7) Friends/Naija vibes: - With this, people tend to send invite for gatherings well in advance but when we turn up, we do exactly that. Impromptu get-together are however occasional. ( Weather: - Erm true, UK weather especially in some unforgiven winter months can make you feel like you're in a giant and invisible industrial freezer but I've also basked in 40 degree celsius in Nigeria, making what would have otherwise been an enjoyable short holiday somewhat unbearable to the extent that I was actually counting down the days to my return. Now I know to choose the month I visit carefully.(9) Family Support: - Very true this. (10) Christmas and other festivities - This is also very true. I really nearly cried on my first Christmas here but eventually got used to the ambience and atmosphere of British Christmas which is actually not that bad, especially if you have families here but Naija Christmas still wins hands down. |
Righteousness2:All these unusual occurences are direct consequence of the damages we are collectively inflicting on our mother earth, from big corporations down to the average Tom, Ahmed and Musa, not because Jesus is coming. That guy died, let him rest and you should rest too. I don't mean to sound like I'm undermining your religion but not everything should be attributed to your looming doomsday. It makes you come across as an absolute muppet. |
