I can't verify my NIN, telling me ERROR UNKNOWN. is this a general problem?

You cant for now. NIBSS cut off fintechs from accessing BVN verification. They are all working to resolve whatever disagreements are on ground.

I see many people asking basic questions here about stock trading/investing, features on the trading app. My comment is that the market especially US Market has been in existence for over 2 centuries and will likely still be in existence by the end of the year.

Just take some weeks to trade demo accounts in T212 or passfolio (if they have it) and learn the ropes before you stake your hard earned money on live action. The market is not going away soon but your money can vanish in an instant if you don't know what you are doing.

Hi everyone, please how do I make best use of Yahoo Finance's premium trial subscription? What can I look out for?

How well have you used the free service? For you to go premium there must be something you should be looking for. If you don't know what that is then no need going premium.

Firstandonly:
My girlfriend is very good in sawing and she has always wanted to have a shop of her own where she can expand. She is still in school and supports her studies from the little sawing she does at home, the truth is she's very hard-working.

Should i take a risk and open a shop for her. I work and i earn 40k a month i can easily save up to 60k from now till January but am scared, I don't want to take a risk i will later regret in life.

Pls has any body faced this kind of situation before or heard of it and how was the outcome?

If you are earning N40k a month, you still need help yourself.

i ask again, has anyone received their Conoil div?

From the info released to the market on 09/07/2020 (excerpt below), the dividend was supposed to have been paid on 30/10/2020

Conoil is yet to make the dividend money available for payment.

I have been a nairalander for years but this is my first post.
My name is Michael Ameh; a poultry farmer in Ado odo local government area of Ogun state.
Yesterday, a giant crocodile was caught just behind the farm and I felt I should share it on the forum.
I’ll be grateful if this post makes front page

This is an alligator not crocodile.
TV/Movies / Re: BBNaija Vs Gulder Ultimate Search: Which Do Nigerians Prefer? by CashDiMkpa: 8:16pm On Sep 12, 2020
Gulder Ultimate Search for me anyday. I think we should start a petition to Nigerian Breweries to resuscitate it. If they don't want to because of economic reasons they can sell the rights to one of the more profitable companies with the financial capacity.

I also liked "The Intern" sponsored by now dead Bank PHB.

I have traded NSE close to 20ys and traded NYSE for about 5yrs so I can categorically telling that comparing NYSE with NSE is like comparing LIFE with DEATH.

Even with the few days market correction we had in NYSE we are still on top of our GAME so stop looking for the living among the dead.

If you want to LIVE LONG in WEALTH and GOOD HEALTH ditch NSE for NYSE and thank me later.

A WORD is a enough for the WISE!

What has that got to do with me. You are just like somebody who initiated a break up with his girlfriend or spouse because you met another person. Yet every day you are stalking that ex on Facebook, IG, whatsapp etc..

That you are trying so hard to convince people here even makes your story suspect.

Oh Ok...for a minute there i thought you meant AIG Group of US.

That entity is controlled by Aig and Herbert. I guess that's where Herbert will retire to as well if he leaves next year as is rumoured.

Good afternoon, pls is rice farming investment real, is it worth investing on.

It depends on the type of investment. Do you want to crop and harvest yourself/in partnership with others or do you want to give to e-farmers that are on the prowl all over social media?

Don't you know the difference between interim and final dividend yields?
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by CashDiMkpa: 10:52pm On Sep 07, 2020
Q2' 2020 interim dividends have now been declared in full and payment is being awaited. Its not over yet though. A few companies declare interim dividend when releasing their Q3 reports so more is likely to be announced next month. These include

- Nestle
- Seplat
- Nigerian Breweries
- Total (sometimes)
- Okomu Oil (Sometimes)

NB and Total may skip this year but the other 3 may still declare.

Bros stop talking to yourself na. wink wink

We appreciate you but you understand that you don't get to win every argument at all times. I know the psychological satisfaction of winning an argument but I assume you are bigger than that. Besides, it's not a good thing to throw that "you didn't read or understand" line at people first except if you are ready to take what they have for you too.

Your inputs on this street are well appreciated by most.

So long as everyone manages their own portfolio, no one is responsible for any failed investment someone else made since due diligence is always advised here, more often than not.

Ain't it amazing......

Be prepared for a reprimand shortly from a host of other alternates.

From an dividend hunter's point of view, is BUA plan to build a mega factory favorable as they may not be able to pay dividends within the period of the project.
What do the experts here think?

There must be other sources of funding apart from BUA Cement profit. The holding company can just take a loan or raise money elsewhere.

I need some help.
I am filling e-dividend forms for my shares and would send scanned copies to the registrars by mail. But the challenge is that I don't know my Bank Account Opening Date. Is this a mandatory field in the forms? Can the forms be processed if this field is left blank?

Guide from any of the experienced people in this forum will be highly appreciated. Thanks for your help

Yes. But submit blank as a last option. Depending on your bank if you check account profile on online banking you'd see the account opening date. If that does not work just call the bank.
