Pls I really need a sincere advice. My phone or network has created me a mistake in which I don't know the best option, sell or hold.I placed a buy order for dancem.i just have to put the figure so you can get a clear pic.i wanted just 5000 and it turned out when I saw green to be 50000.Should I sell or hold.I am worried if it drops.Just wanted a bit of it because of the share buy back thing in the future

If you wanted to buy 5,000 units and mistakenly bought 50,000 units, logic demands you sell 45,000 units immediately and take the cost of the transaction as cost of lesson learnt. Where you might make a bigger mistake is trying to rationalize holding on to the ones bought in error.

This kin tin cannot happen in Biafraland nwanne.... grin grin grin

Oracle announcing bear Lol grin

Lol....

With the Stockmarket, its safer not to be declarative in predictions because nobody really knows the next move, even 60% of the time. Not even the charts. Otherwise every chartist will be a multi billionaire and i know not even all the brilliant ones are.

Even without being a chartist, i know the index will rise sooner or later. Its inevitable. I just don't know the magnitude of the rise or when it will rise or if the current lows will be followed by more lows. Because i am not sure of all these, i build in these uncertainties into my strategy and it mostly plays out in my entry price and time horizon to hold.

I have been looking at the volumes from FCMB and Fidelity.

I believe they are warming up for a 2017(short timeframe) type of rise.

Only two of them?

Lol. With due respect to its promoters in thus forum, That stock has nothing to offer(short, medium or long term) if you do all the maths and allow all things to be equal, you are better off with zenith than buying UACN above 4.50.
UPDC is dead scrap, and after the rights issue, it becomes worthless. The amount of u-riet on offer + the uacn shares is what makes uacn worth 4.5

Disclaimer: my own personal opinion.

Fidelity is likely to rally first because of the 1 month delay in FCMB Q3 result.

It won't be a bad idea to ride with Fidelity first, then bring the proceeds to join FCMB on its way up to catch up with Fidelity wink

This your permutation eh.....

For this market? Stop enriching your broker at your detriment. There was no rally when Q2 was announced and there will be no rally when Q3 is announced. What you see as a mild rally when Q1 was announced is because it was announced around the dividend qualification date.

SABMILLER (South African Breweries), Interfact LLC. based in Onitsha, Anambra State. Makers and owner of the Hero Lager beer, Eagle lager beer are fully South Africa Shareholdings.

There' have always been this wrong assumption that Peter Obi owns Hero beer which has attracted large patronage to the beer in the Eastern part of the country and Nigeria in General, but the unassailable truth is that South Africa breweries fully owns Hero 100%.

Peter Obi was just a business influencer, just like MTN has Pascal Dozie as a local face used for Local continent policy. South African Breweries in Nigeria making money to fund their Government at home to kill our own Nigeria brother. What an irony, taking advantage of the Nigerian people's Ignorance

For this alone, I have stop drinking HERO BEER and any other related drinks associated with SA.

That one concern you. Don't come back to it o. Maybe if demand drop the price will reduce and i will drink more. grin grin grin

Even at that price the dividend yield for 2018 wasn't that bad and it "may" be better in 2019. Keep and eye on it but i dont believe this is one of the stocks you should take a loss on just yet.

We as a people don't want to hear the truth...

PMB is a mistake and if we keep quiet...it will repeat itself and even worst in 2023!

Nigeria I know has never gotten better since childhood!

After 4years the damage down to the economy would be irreversible!

GTB Nigeria's biggest bank is chasing people up and down to take loan at lowest cost...yet people are scared because the economy direction is not clear. And you think all is well!

Even the rate at which GTB is given out loans is killing fintech loan start ups!

Bro..just make the best of any situation you find yourself in.

Na so democracy be, no need to break head. As far as i can remember, no existing government has received any kudos during its tenure, be it Military or Civilian so truly the government to be formed in 2023 will not be different. By then we will be looking at Buari's tenure with near nostalgia. Even by that time, people go still dey make money.

Well there is no information about the meeting for now.

According to the Exchange, trading resumed on the shares of Continental Reinsurance with effect from Thursday, July 18, 2019.

The Exchange stated that the suspension was lifted to allow shareholders trade on their shares pending the reconvening of the meeting and announcement of a new effective date by the company.

These guys will probably not convene another meeting till that stock drops below N1. They can then take it on the cheap.

MY TAKE ON GTB... wink
...I think the current situation on NSE should gladden investors cum traders alike, as stocks are now relatively cheap to buy. Looking at today's result, GTB was mentioned as one of the stocks with a 52 week low (thanks to @Intendy) and with the monthly outlook of the stock still looking bearish, more downside still anticipated.

Highlighted below are 2 zones expecting to see market reaction in an attempt to reverse the trend. At the bottom of Price Rejection 1, GTB would have lost close to 80% of its profits started in 2016. Any attempt for price to violate this level will indicate Price Rejection 2 will be inevitable - all upside rally eroded.

Technically, the area of liquidity void on GTB will be filled when the price falls to N26, so any other fall in price is "jare"

Needless to say long term buyers could benefit greatly below Price Rejection 1 as indicated on the chart.

Great buy at current price though.

Lol...you are looking at returns on your average cost. Also look at the returns on the new price...or ask yourself if you did not have the stock before, is the current price a good point to buy?

Remember at the end of the day, its not only dividend yield but your holding period returns that count.

So the suspension on trading of Continental Reinsurance shares have been lifted. No word from the company or NSE after keeping people in suspense for about 6 months.

Truly a lot needs to change in this market.
