Wes Brown could be compared to Kuyt. Hard workers that don't always score goals, but they nearly always come through for the squad. So y'all gunners shouldn't be so quick to write him off. I saw somewhere somebody said Wenger should rest Ade.From what exactly, may i ask ?I've really not seen any efforts from him that he deserves rest for.I'm not a fan,but looking at this objectively, what's wrong with Ade,Bendtner and Walcott starting together?Sure it'll leave y'all benchless for strikers and inspiration, but games have been won without making any subs before. But then,i guess Wenger doesn't think Walcott's good enough to start.Too bad. |

@Mentally crazed Omo Same casket that'll send you to Mother Earth,my friend. So tremble 'Any English team' includes United,so what exactly is your point? If Seun no be ya bizniz, what's with your delusional rant to Emperoh about 'bringing Nairaland down',and your equally delusional belief that because i came on Nairaland after you did,i should be calling everyone 'oga' and 'madam',instead of by their names and/or nicknames ? You dey amuse me tire,i no go lie |

Emperoh:LMAO Lie-detector test, extreme psychiatric evaluation, shrink sessions, gruelling endurance treks in the Sahara, and 2 months @ Kirikiri. Then i'll be ready to interview him.Kit needs anger-management classes,as well as this wild idea of his that he co-owns Nairaland and can kick us all out @ anytime(i wonder what moderator dearie has got to say about that ) Anyway,he realizes that United can bang any Spanish or Italian team to the high heavens,so i guess there's still hope for him (watch how he'll lose it when he sees my stage 1 analysis ) Nani's still out?Damn, that's really bad news.Thot he wlda been up by now.So that's Nani and Vida. As for Saha,i wouldn't really call him a ghost player.Ain't his fault he's so injury-riddled,but anytime hez on the pitch,he does make some very good efforts.I like that he's always there as reliable back-up.When hez not injured, that is. So Ronaldinho is injured.Bad news for Barca, good for us(not that i'm rejoicing at their misfortune,of course ) Eto's still a danger man though, and Ronaldinho being out will give Henry a chance to shine.Methinks hez gonna make real good use of that chance.Anyway Vida will be back by then. Our defense will be crucial. As for Roma,i'v not doubt we can keep on banging them from now till the Pope retires, but underestimating them will surely not help.I think Fergie should go all out against them just like we did during the first leg.It never hurts to take precautions. Of course we've definitely got to go all out against Boro.At this stage of the EPL,dropping points is definitely not a good thing.Heck, those chavs are eagerly waiting to pounce like vultures over a dead body. As long as everybody stays fit and Van der Saar is more protective of his groin, lol,United is on a trophy roll. Bring home the silverwares Fergie. Up United! |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Cassiel(f): 10:38pm On Apr 03, 2008 |
@folahann lol I think i would prefer Fergie's position to Rafa's. But seriously,i'm not hating.I'm just being realistic here.Liverpool won't be doing y'all any favours @ Anfield, and that's the simple truth. They'll be looking to win. And if Arsenal hope to beat them,a whole lot of work needs to be done, especially with RVP out and players like Eboue and Bendtner in confused states.Geddit? |

@poster Obviously you've got some weird ideas about the words 'dating' and 'relationship' This is why they tell all you kids to wait till you're mature enough before you jump into what you think is a relationship. If you want proper advice, give clear, concise details. |

Romance / Re: My Boyfriend Is A Daddy by Cassiel(f): 9:00pm On Apr 03, 2008 |
@poster Obviously this guy wants long-term from you,so ask yourself these: 1.Can you handle being a step-mum? Taking care of another woman's child like he's yours? Because if you can't,there will always be problems between you and your boyfriend, and the child could grow up hating you. 2.Can you cope with the definite interferences from the boy's mother in your boyfriend's life and yours? You will be the woman taking care of her son if he lives with his father, which will probably happen sooner or later. The mother will always want to know what you're up to with her son,how you run his life. And if you cannot handle the mother with maturity,it will lead to problems between you and your boyfriend(maybe husband then). 3.While he's still your boyfriend,as in,presently,he may have to cancel dates or he may be late for appointments with you because of his paternal obligations. Can you cope with being second-place to his son sometimes? 4.My last question.Ex-es sometimes have a way of getting back together, planned or unplanned.Especially when they've got a child together. Is this a risk you're willing to take? (as in,he could come over to your place one day, hold your hand and solemnly say,''sweetheart i'm sorry but Laura and i have decided to give it one more shot for the sake of the child'') Of course, your relationship could work out beautifully with the child present, but you should consider the above first. I wish you well. |

@Mc Omo Dude, you've absolutely zero idea how smart i know i am,so quit barking up that tree.I don't need to use your warped sayings on Nairaland to prove it to you, aiight? Besides, every Manc knows you never wish us well, except on some very grudging occasions when you can't help but. And,if you were smart at all, after predicting United will win why open the can of 'ifs',hoping and wishing me and Chacal hang?Specifically Cassiel and Chacal.(hmm,i wonder why ) Well. What else is to be expected of a T.B Joshua fan |

@Mc Omo That's your church, right? No wonder And who cares if i call Wormedup Wormy? People dey pose with beta nicknames,u dey hia dey halla over 'Wormy'.Na wa o. As for your own 'Kit', i just happen to know it sounds a lil better than the 'Omo' one you got going.Even if nobody admits it cos they fear your bullying ways, its true Abi were you sent a memo on NL name rules?Tell me now o,u know say banning na the current high . like i care @folahann Liverpool play a defensive game?Defensive? At Anfield?Jeez, thought you would be a little more realistic. They got an away goal. Why on God's green earth shouldn't they get many more on their home turf? They're not gonna be looking just to defend their goal, they're also gonna be fiercely angling to get many many more.Besides, everybody knows y'all have a poor record at Anfield. I know the Scousers are gonna go all out against you guys.Sure, their defense could do with some tightening up,but the same could be said about yours.Rafa is so determined to outthink Wenger on this,i doubt Wenger will know what hit him.Its a hell of a job Arsenal has got ahead of them, and right now, with RVP out and Bendtner's current status as a Scouser defender ,i wonder where the goals will be coming from.Wenger had better let Walcott play right from the start if he knows whats good for the team. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Cassiel(f): 7:20pm On Apr 03, 2008 |
A-40:Ade have a field day against Ferdinand?Dude, get real.Ade knows next to nothing about breaking through well-organized defenses. He scores best when his opponent's defense is weak, and seeing as we've got the best defense in the league, and the best defender any team could ask for in Rio,Ade is going to be a very shackled man. And,don't blame just Bendtner and Eboue for your failing to win yesterday's match.Y'all had so many good chances and missed them all.RVP's misses alone were colossal.Passes were excessive,as usual, and even when there was no time any longer, instead of going for long-range shots y'all were still trying to win the 'We pass the ball around best' cup.Only Walcott was sensible on that pitch last night, honestly.Too bad soccer's not a one-man show. Hope you guys learned your lessons last night, else Anfield will be a blast against you guys. @Mc Omo You predicted we were going to get thrashed by Roma Thought you woulda hung yourself by now. |

Vida out for 2-3 weeks? Darn, that's not too good news.I really want him to play against the Arses @Emperoh Bendtner admires Torres Didn't you know? He wishes he could be as good a striker as Fernando,so much that he helped the Scousers defend to prove it @tkb417 He didn't do anything outside the ordinary o.'They' just want to kill our fun with 'their' bad-belle Anyway,i heard on the grapevine that hez back |

Goood morning gaynners . Hope y'all had refreshing nightmares after yesterday's lovely draw Just thought to drop by and serve the latest soccer info. WENGER: ''We should have won'' Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could not hide his disappointment after drawing with Liverpool in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final. The Gunners deservedly went ahead after 23 minutes through Emmanuel Adebayor, but they could not hold as Dirk Kuyt scrambled home an equaliser just moments later. Arsenal were the better side throughout but they could not find a way through which left Wenger frustrated. Frustrated "It is difficult to understand as we had a lot of possession and a lot of chances and it is very difficult to accept that we didn't win the game," Wenger told Sky Sports. Wenger was also less than amused about his side being denied what appeared a blatant penalty in the second-half when Kuyt looked to pull Alexander Hleb to the floor. "We were unlucky too, when they equalised I felt we were unlucky and were unlucky on the big decision of the referee on the penalty and in a game like that it is difficult to take it but we have to swallow it. "That is what is most disappointing because sometimes the referee is in a bad position, but he was five yards away from Kuyt and in fairness it was a 100 per cent penalty. "We could have done better because we were caught on the break when we were 1-0 up, but Steven Gerrard showed a touch of class and you can always do better when you concede a goal." Hope Arsenal now meet Liverpool again on Saturday in the Premier League before the return leg of their Champions League clash at Anfield next week. "What is important is that we win the next one at the Emitrates on Saturday and then find the resources to win at Anfield and we can do that," he said. "We want to win the game on Saturday because, of course, the Championship is at stake and that will help us to get the result at Anfield." Robin van Persie was again forced off with injury and Wenger admits he is a doubt for their next two games against Liverpool "It doesn't look too bad but we took him off for a precaution but I still think he will be short for next game and possibly the one after," he added. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3377940,00.html Oh no! Not again Na who swear for gunners this year? Confess na na before i break ya head Special shout-out to Kit Have a wonderful day people. |

@4Him Come on.How can you say a thing like that after Bendtner did a beautiful job playing the perfect host to the Scousers by helping them defend their goal? Eboue try na.No be 'im fault. If you must blame, blame the entire team. They lost the midfield in the 2nd half.I don't even know where Fab went to Walcott was trying, but of course he couldn't do it alone.Bendtner was totally off today, even i was surprised.Y'all should have won,for real.So many missed chances. Now its going to be real tough for y'all @ Anfield. Cos Liverpool will be so determined to whoop your asses The Showdown: Rafa vs Wenger. Total bad-ass psychological battle. I-can-not-wait! |
