StreetFight: We will not allow an independent drugs trafficking nation in West Africa. If you can get land near Mexico or Columbia, then you can move all your people there. But here in West Africa, Biafra will never be an independent nation whose sour e if FIREX will be drugs trafficking, human trafficking, baby factory, and fake drugs manufacturing. Never will that be allowed in West Africa The US didn't "not allow LatAm" in the Americas. They're dealing with every situation while those countries improve their economy, social life and political issues. The US don't negotiate with terrorists but they have enough arsenal to ensure they're not invaded or attacked. Japan madness made them violate US security and Hiroshima/Nagasaki humbled them, today, they've focused onto technology and sports. Igbo madness is a problem for me as an individual given the identity it destroys but in a country like Nigeria, where ideological differences are stark clear, approaching this same problem will become problematic as we have differing ideological stance. So bros, poverty is a threat to Igbos, political strife is another fuel, social and economic exclusion adds to these. Igbos need to attain a minimum of 80% literacy rate across it populace so that full sustainable development can stay, it's difficult in Nigeria where people believe in "school na scam". |

The young man you quoted statement was due to OP's thread. Igbos wants to leave Nigeria. But they are everywhere in other part of Nigeria screaming Biafra or death..
If your Biafra isn't a pipe dream, then why not show some actions? By now, a serious entities wanting their own country would have come together already! But no, you people are scattered across the nation and still leaving your region everyday..
You dey Osogbo, you dey Kogi, you con dey scream Biafra or death.... Just like, you're at Stamford bridge and you're screaming Up Barca. People go even deh look you like Mumu..
Imagine 95% of Igbos are in the SE already. It would be a loud, straight and prepared voice! Forget about the migration patterns and protocol, once there's a new country like this man pointed out, Migration Protocol outside will change. I was born outside Igboland to parents who moved/in-migrated within Nigeria without papers but paid for only bus fare. With a change in sovereign boundaries, migration across this boundaries will come with a new Migration Protocol, Work Permit, and the likes and for those outside the land, you apply Universal Rights of Return to the Republic. Roman Abrahamovic is a Russian Jew but when Crimea issues began, he had to fulfil his rights through Israeli Universal Rights of Return and received citizenship that enable him travel to the West. Although, the West held no exemption on him and still sanctioned him and his assets. Today, any Jewish person can return to Israel based on this code. |

People who use airports regularly know this truth and are conversant with situations like these for their bookings. Abuja to to Ph- no flight Abuja to Owerri - ✓ Lagos to Ph- no flight Abuja to Owerri- ✓
Going to Owerri is always available. I challenge any entity to disprove this fact Look at this download from NBS or so, imagine Owerri connecting directly to international routes? At least, extra 300k would have been recorded by the airport. Mana, yadiba!

We should try to remove propaganda from the running of government because it will never usher in development. It can never represent the facts on ground. I don't know whether call this mischievous or hate filled. Kano hardly outperform Owerri in 4th place but since 1983 it was built, no efforts to uplift the airport infrastructure to meet international standards. It's all political gimmicks. |

This heartless evil bastard Igbo Obidient IPOB criminal must be found and executed So sorry for another Igboman killing a Nigerian Police Officer, a rank of DPO for that matter. I support you for the same reason that he be arrested and made to face justice in a properly constituted court of law. It's Igboman today, tomorrow, it may be another tribe or something. Pipe down your tribal card and give information about him to police to effect his arrest. Have a nice day. |

How can you call yourself Yoruba, spend 4-5 yrs in University only to graduate and be jobless whereas people that are not even natives of South West are getting employment, appointments and whatnot in your State's public service.. O wrong now,
We have been shouting regionalism and restructuring all these while but the outsiders are turning deaf ears thinking it will always be business as usual for them in Yorubaland. I support you on this. Lagos and SW IGR should be for the development of the Lagos/SW megapolis. Igbos should return to their region and develop it. Many of my Igbo people get jobs outside the region and settle permanently there and completely abandon their lands. They must return to SE/SS/NC/wherever indigenous Igbos are found. Igboland is big enough (almost 44,000/SqKMs). |

Quintessence44: I fear an Igbo presidency. With each passing day, and with each anti-Nigerian comment I read on social media, of which 98% are from Igbos, the more I fear, and the more my soul rejects an Igbo presidency.
I reckon they lack the patriotism to be trusted with power over this federation, and could use that power, if granted them, to sabotage the country, leading to its disintegration.
We can’t afford to take that chance in my view.
I can imagine the ruling classes also see this trajectory of deep Igbo unpatriotism, and are equally taking notes on the need to prevent their presidency anytime soon. I'm Igbo, so you know. Imagine life without Igbos troubling you in Lagos and other South Western states, criticising the president and being unpatriotic and wanting secession. That's what makes up national life. Truth be told, every tribe in Nigeria has irritating habits that we've come to tolerate in various ways, as much as we can, without making efforts Igbos tolerance is there, forget what you read here, same with Yoruba, Hausa/Fulani, Edo. Allow your fears to go off and you'll see thar some of these things truly are not necessarily important but by actions/reactions, we've gotten this into national life. |

DamnnNiggarr: Oga Sir, Igbo is not a geographical region, Igbo is a tribe that can be indigenous to any geographical region.
Igbo as a tribe does not start and end in SE, as a tribe, Igbo greatly extends to Rivers and Delta States and small portion of BAYELSA State ( my home town precisely). Just like the Yoruba tribe does not start and end in SW.
As a tribe, Yoruba extends to North Central geographical region and Benin republic.
I beats my imagination how people are not able to differentiate between tribe and polical region. They're trying to place an identity/ideological boundary for Igbo people. Igbos are found in Edo (Phyna of BBN is named Ifeoma and is Igbo from Edo state), Benue, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Kogi, and Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers are just more popular that these others I just listed. The 5 SE states are what they're using to play politics of divide-and-rule. |

In fact the northern elites are more sympathetic to the bandits and religious extremists than to the normal law abiding citizens.

omooba969: We're always under the illusion that if our tribes-man occupies the power-seat, it will automatically translate into wealth for our people. You need to realise that OBJ presidency did not turn Ogun state or SW to Dubai, GEJ presidency did not turn Bayelsa or SS to Paris and many years of Northern rule actually translated into underdevelopment and now hardship/terrorism in the North/North-Central.
Would you be expecting any better if a Southeastern person becomes president? Bro, there's a pattern and this is a fundamental issue that needs a paradigm shift.
Let's do away with nepotism, tribal & religious sentiments and watch a drastic change in our polity. What you've said all along made zilch of a sense to me, but I agree with everything you've said (because I can detribalize and understand you) but, hear this, Nigeria operates cynical and Winner-Takes-It-All politics that has done more harm than good for the people. If not for the hustling spirit of the SE, that zone would have been long dead because of more than 50years of wanton negligence, except of course, let's accept GEJ did us good in his 5/6years in power. The Northerners that always ascend and thrust themselves to power with their Northernization Policy, are they any better? But every election circle, they have their political ideology, and align to that and vote massively for it. The Yoruba have their political ideology too, and they align to that. I knew when SWAGA23 Conference was held in Ibadan, UI-ICC precisely and all Yorubas aligned to that, but they for once didn't think it will make Ibadan, Akure, Oyo, Ogbomosho, Iseyin, Ife, Ado Ekiti, Ikenne, Kabba, Illorin, Abeokuta, Ajaokuta to Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool, Boston, Birmingham, Cardiff, Helsinki, Los Angeles, San Francisco etc. But these same people voted, following in the same pattern of the Northern regions. You even killed and maimed because you're battling for survival through political power. Now the Igbos have theirs but you claim its a problem and wouldn't do much good for us. We didn't create that illusion, the North did, so go and talk to them about abolishing it first, but I understand that's going to be difficult. Omooba (Son of a King), what's happening I'd a political game and if anyone wants Peter Obi to join them in order to harvest over 6million votes (which will grow massively soon), they should align behind him and he'll make due his own agreement which we the S/Easterners have seen and become endeared to him, and it's going to be two terms as well, but anything short, no problem. |
