Kukutente23:I didn’t realize it was you the eeediot when I responded. My sincere apologies for engaging you. |
Kukutente23:Production has increased, there will be enough crude for everyone. |
Atarakpa:1:45 is when the official 1st loading will take place |
Kaycee9242:You go hear noise tire |
I was just about to say that PH refinery is working has been trending and no news on Nairaland |
eldoradoxx:Obi is unelectable and your obsession with Obi is why Tinubu will win again if he contests. |
Odingo1:You have decided we don’t want equity because we don’t agree with you. Anyone that doesn’t agree with you or don what you want is your enemy, yet you come and live amongst us. That’s the problem with you people that why you are bad politicians. You never listen! Because you never listen and attack anyone who doesn’t agree with you you never achieve anything politically. Change your attitude and you will go far. Stay on the path you have been for 64 years and you will acheive the same outcome a you have acheived for 64 years. People are getting tired of your tune, you need to change your tune, interactions and negotiating methods because we are getting to a stage where people don’t even want to listen to you anymore. People are getting to a point where they are thinking there is nothing you will do they will not be satisfied , they will always complain and so why bother? That is a dangerous place to be and you are getting there if you aren’t already there. There was a time when most Nigerians felt it is the proper thing to have an Ibo president but you have insulted, disparaged, abused and alienated so many people some now think abeg heaven will not fall!! First rule of politics in a democracy a minority does not dictate to the majority. 2nd rule ….do not alienate the people whose votes you need. Whether you need their votes for state creation or for presidency. 3rd rule: you never get everything you want in a democracy, you don’t bring the house down but use your failure to get what you wanted to get something else you want. Small wins lead to big wins. Learn from your brother Umahi, he contested senate presidency, arguing it should be zoned to the SE. He was told to step down, He complied without a fuss and was even DG campaign for his rival. Today he is one of the most powerful high profile ministers and the no1 Ibo man in the administration despite the fact his state did not vote for the president. That’s how you play politics. Not every time you complain and shout they hate us! Orji Kalu despite historically being Tinubu’s man played the tribal victim card has since been relegated in prominence. |
gidgiddy:It is based on many things but ultimately it is based on politics. The approval of others. For others to approve, they will demand their own state. By the time others demand their own, the number of states will be unwieldy that common sense will prevail and no state will be created. That is the point. My own opinion is we already have to many states. We are turning local governments into states. |
Odingo1:See as you turned this is abuse. Let me remind you, you have not acheived any of your political goals in 64 years of the existence of this country. SW has won 4 presidential elections in this country and had 2 elected presidents. A minority SS has become president before you. One group is doing something wrong and it is not the SW or the SS. Politics is not selling spare parts where you can tell me to gerrout if I don’t like your price. Oya insult me. |
Odingo1:As usual noise and braggardry. No so you talk about referendum and nothing happen, na so you talk about presidency and nothing happen. No so una set fire to una region in the name of Biafra wey others just go about their business dey look una while you turn your zone into a wasteland where you can’t even go home to marry and bury your dead. Like I said you are too emotional. Stick to trading, state creation, presidency, referendum etc is politics. Politics is not a game for emotional people or those who either can’t hear or don’t want to hear what others whose approval or votes you need are saying. |
Odingo1:The day your state is created let me know. I will credit you with N1m. |
Odingo1:Why do we like to argue emotionally? I am telling you the reality of the negotions for state creation. If you want to toe that line the SE shouldn’t even have 5 states in the 1st place, the entire SE is not up to Oyo state or Niger state. When you take that line that is what those from Oyo or Niger will tell you. Don’t forget that the state assemblies in these same Oyo and Niger will have to vote to approve as this is a constitutional amendment! So don’t go along that line, I am simply telling you the politics of state creation. Finally what do you have to show for the 5 states you have? |
oluseyiforjesus:North are not United either. They have never been United. Their path to power has always been in collaboration with SE/SS 1960-1967 1979-1984, 1999-2011 SW 2015-2023 The North has always had 4 factions The sokoto/Kaduna axis, Kano axis, Borno axis and the middle belt axis and they rarely see eye to eye politically. The middle belt tends to be aligned with the sokoto Kaduna axis otherwise they have always been 4 distinct and polarized factions. The north has never in the history of Nigeria won an election as a United front without alliance with a southern partner even though they have the votes. The politics of the NW has always been based on conservatism, kano has always been populist/socialist radical enclave, The Borno axis has always been based on the fact that they feel they are not part of the hausa/Fulani hegemony. The middle belt as a northern minority have always tended to partner with the NW axis, the main power brokers, based on self preservation. Look at the history of Northern politics from 1952, the party that controls Kano and the Borno axis is usually different from the main Northern (sokoto/kaduna) party. |
All these creation of states, The small money you have will be used for funding the lifestyles and overheads (aka convoys and security votes) of more governors. Any citizen looking for a new state does not like his people. Once upon a time we had only 3 sub governments in Ibadan, kaduna and Enugu. There was enough money left for the people. When you hear of the development of those days it is because all the money was not taken up in admin overhead. The more you create states, the poorer the states become. The more your citizens migrate to Abuja or Lagos. We had 3 premiers and their cabinets. Today we find 36 governors and their cabinets and some want to add more? Anyway state creation is dead on arrival. To create a state in SS, SE will demand their own or they won’t vote for it, for that to happen SW will say kilode? We too we want Ibadan state or Ijebu state. To get the North to approve 4 new southern states, they will demand 6 states. You see where this is going? Dead on arrival! Make e no be like say we no fight for state when we dey senate! They all know it is dead on arrival! |
honeyB2018:the next governor will likely be one of the current deputy governor, HMO or outside chance of Tokunboh Wahab forget Seyi, Ambode is a nonstarter. he committed political suicide. If Tinubu isnt running for second term ( a part of me thinks he intends to serve only 1 term) then it is most likely the next governor is HMO. If he runs then he will want HMO with him in ABJ. Another remote possibility is Tokunbo Abiru. There is no way Seyi is becoming governor ahead of these names. At best he will go to senate or house of rep. |
TheElites19s:oh so the letter that is giving them a hardon was written last year? Nonsense!!!! |
Sundaymessi:This is why we say you people are poorly educated. How did they benefit from an affidavit that was withdrawn? It was withdrawn means it was never considered as evidence or formed the basis of judgement. If evidence or a submission is withdrawn by a party to the litigation or struck out by the judge, it means its existence is no longer recognized by the court. A court only considers what it recognizes. This is why you see litigants presenting boxes of evidence even if they have no plans to rely on it and listing the witnesses before a hearing begins. Once the hearing begins you can’t rely on what is not presented or what has been withdrawn or struck out. This is also what happened in the supreme court case against Tinubu where they went on a fishing expedition to America and they were told they could not bring in new matters that were not part of the case at the PEPT. You don’t have to be a lawyer to know this. This are things you should know by virtue of being an educated person. This is why we say resist the temptation to comment on subjects you don’t understand. |
ddippset:the is the problem when people are half educated, they aregue like market women and area boys. no surprise you produce the kind of governors you do. good night, i am done here |
djon78:if we had removed subsidy ages ago, we would have had more money to spend on better quality education and people like you wouldnt feel they can just jump into a specialized intellectual discussion with the intellectual prowess of an okada rider. |
ddippset:the same Omotosho who ruled that Fubara must represent the budget to the 27 lawmakers? Look Oga i am not going to argue with you anymore, I have no skin in the game and not that concerned with the nonsense in Rivers state to go deep. All i am saying is by law, 100% guaranteed proving Defection is DOA even if the affidavit exists. Get this into your skull, the only thing you can prove is lying under oath and for that you need the original or certified true copy of the affidavit. I dont know if the original copies of the affidavit exist, the story is they were withdrawn. Whether they left traces or they have covered their tracks, i dont know and I cannot speak to that. Forget this idea of proving defection, it is dead on arrival!!! They are members of PDP, there is no record of resignation from PDP, there is no record of membership of APC. i am giving you the technical and legal argument, you are coming back with emotional this is the way it should be argument. i am not here for that. i am not here to debate whether a man stole your property or not, My take is do you have the evidence to prove it in court? We all know what happenned, but we are not the judges, the law courts are not courts of public opinion that is why my opinion or your does not matter!! Judges are interested in the law and what you can present as legal evidence and what you can prove......why do Nigerians have a problem making this distinction? |
ddippset:Thats a different matter. Like i said the problem with Nigerians is we conflate issues. Swearing an affidavit that proves to be false is a crime. you will face the punishment for lying under oath. But that does not make you a member of APC. We all know what went on here they stooopidly joined APC without thinking, i said it here at the time it was a fooolish move. Court and the law is about what you can prove. As far as proving membership, affidavit is meaningless, unless it is an affidavit from APC. For so long as APC say they are not members and they dont ecist on their party register and have no membership cards, the only thing the afiidavit will prove is that they lied under oath. The problem with the affidavit is that it was quietly withdrawn and i assume all records extinguished. So unless you have the original or a certified true copy of the affidavit (for which you need the original) you cant prove that either. The problem is you lose focus and objectivity when you approach issues emotionally. I have no skin in the game so i can be objective. APC membership is dead on arrival even if the affidavit can be produced. The idea of proving defection is DOA. trust me forget that one! If the affidavit can be produced it does not prove defection, all it it proves is lying under oath. the punishment is 7-14 years. The question is do you have the original or certified true copy of the affidavit? I would be shocked if the people that quietly withdrew the affidavit knowing the implications of the affidavit have not erased evidence of its existence? |
yoruboid:The damage has been done and front loaded. going forward the stats will be favourable. |
babakb:has it occurred to you that these households have no men and these are single mothers and divorcees? Statistically a household is a household so long as there is at least one parent and at least a child present whether there is a man present or not. with the rise in single parents and baby mamas is it a surprise there is an increase in women led households? |
CodeTemplarr:simply a refection of single mothers and increased divorces. the statistics will count a household whether there is a man present or not. |
Lithiumite:I really don't know. I lost interest in Rivers and PDP wahala. Fubara is just behaving like a man without sense. I understand his plight but the way he has gone about it shows to me he has a very low IQ...at least strategically and politically. They want to impeach you and you are giving them ammunition for impeachment, what kind of eeediot is that? law is not gra-gra! As far as Ugochinyere, that one is just a fooool with his dead on Arrival 1 term rotational presidency. The actions of Fubara and ugochinyere can only be described as Buffoonery. it is unfortunate because ordinarily sentiment should be against Wike but the way Fubara has handled this leaves much to be desired. |
Raxxye:Instead of you to learn about the importance official procedures, you are spewing nonsense like a motor park resident. Ok I declare publicly on nairaland that i am now a member of PDP, does that make me a member of PDP? |
coolcharm:the problem with the masses is they think the law works the way you reason. When you say someone is a member of a political party, you must show his name of the party register because if your name is not on the party register you are not officially recognised...you dont have a membership number or an ID card. You have not recognised as a member under the law. If like you gain admision to a university and your name listed in the newspaper as succesful candidate. Until you complete the formal procedures of registration and your name on the University's official list of students with registration number and ID card, you are not an officially recognised student by law. if you cannot show documents that show official membership of a body and the said body says you are not a member...then you are not a member! Affidavit simply means you lied, it doesnt mean you are a member....under the law! The problem with Nigerians is we are used to anyhowness. The law does not recognise anyhowness!! YOU Must show the letter of resignation from PDP and official document issued By APC (e.g register or ID card) to show they are members of APC. When Obi defected from PDP we all saw his letter of resignation. The courts and the law are not based on emotion or perception. Defection involves 2 steps, resignation and registration with another party. You must have official documents to show both steps.

coolcharm:Rivers PDP said they are still PDP members. Remember pro fubara councillors contested under a different party. Judge said membership is not determined by social media but official records like party register and ID card. https://punchng.com/breaking-27-pro-wike-lawmakers-still-pdp-members-says-rivers-court/ |
it has already been determined by a court judgement that they did not defect since their names are not present in the APC list of members. Furthermore the same PDP confirmed in writing to the court that the 27 are members of PDP. I swear this PDP is a cursed party |
Anither563:He never contested to be president. He knows the game. He hoped Atiku would win and he would be given a ministerial slot. he should stop trying to use our brain. |
Babangidapikin:This is a man who got the ticket for NCP in 2011. he left his house to vote at his polling booth with his wife, his driver and his maid. When the results came out he got only 1 vote...even his wife did not vote for him. So how he wan see delegate vote for PDP? he himself knew he didnt contest to be president, he contested to be compensated with ministerial post, unfortunately for him Atiku lost. Stop dignifying noisy comedians. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/04/dele-momodu-loses-at-polling-unit/

odejimioflagos:I have said this many times that PDP are not democrats. They are not grounded in democracy. PDP came about because of the Army anointed them. The Army determined obasanjo was the man they were comfortable with and they installed him and his party. Their dominance was rooted in rigging from day 1. Remember when they would declare more votes than the number of registered voters? As soon as we started to embark on electoral reforms starting with card readers, BVAS etc, they started to lose elections. All the 2million votes in places like Delta, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers, Cross River, Bayelsa, etc dropped to less than 500k in some cases. Their problem is they still have that mindset. That is why those from PDP, including the likes of Obi lose elections. They never had to earn their votes, so they dont know the art and science of actually earning votes. Say what you may about APC, they had to work to get to where they are, they learnt to compromise, build bridges and keep their party together, compensate those who lose out in primaries etc that’s why they are a formidable party. PDP and their graduates do t know how to win elections because they were never grounded in the principles of democracy. The problem with PDP as a party is they have not moved on from Gbajue politics. The days when you can buy delegates, tell the losers in your party to go to hell, rig elections with impunity are over. It is a pity we are our own problems. Anyone who can think properly will know there is no way you can rig an election in Nigeria today without leaving evidence of rigging. It is impossible. We have one of the most credible election systems, unfortunately we also have sore losers. |
