franchasng:There are some flaws in your analysis 1) muslims overwhelmingly voted for trump (negating points 2 and 5) A lot of the swing states that Trump won were attributed to the mulsim vote according to an analyst I saw on TV this morning. Apparently Trump pushed hard for the muslim , latino, black, and eastern European votes. 2) many blacks (real black americans not japa immigrants) rejected the Democratic party and Harris in particular and voted for trump. harris as prosecutor send more blacks to jail than any prosecutor since or after. Harris sent black parents to jail because their children skipped school and she would boast about it. SHe was so disliked that Obama had to come out to try and salvage her reputation amongst blacks. this idea that they rejected her because she is a woman is a false narrative. I have said it in a different thread she is the wrong kind of woman. If the democrats presented a more credible female she probably would have given Trump a run for his money. have you seen her interviews? Harris is like Peter Obi, she waffles and waffles without saying anything. Tell me an interview she granted where you can say this is what she said or she answered the question. |
abobote:did they win? do you know the meaning of electable? "Electable" means capable of crossing the finish line.....not getting plenty votes but coming second or 3rd.. Unelectable means you dont have enough votes on your own and you dont have what it takes to appeal to opposition/swing voters that can take you over the line. Kamala and Obi are the "love them or hate them" type of polarising candidates. Opposition voters will not vote for them come rain come sunshine, so if they dont have enough votes in their own base they can never win an election. hence they are unelectable. They are the kind of candidates that when they are contesting, people who would have stayed at home (i.e ordinarily not that keen on their rival to bother to vote) will come out just to vote against them so they dont win. Even the great Awo was unelectable because he could never get enough votes to win a national election. |
ChristineC:a clear path to a sustainable Nigeria, |
Enskynelson:look use your brains. There is no way you can rig an election in Nigeria without leaving evidence. Why didnt they present these evidence in court instead of seeking to disqualify?.......because there was no evidence, they lost!! USE your brains!! if Obi and Atiku can manage to come together they will defeat tinubu easily...but they wont and you will blame INEC again. The real problem was you had 14M votes but you split your votes into 6.7, 6m and 2m and so the man who the country rejected with 8m votes won. its not INECs fault PDP did not use its brains and was unable to keep its house in order. |
People field unelectable candidates and blame others when they lose. anyone who viewd the Nigerian and US elections with dispasionate eyes could have predicted before a vote was cast that Atiku, Obi, and Harris were never going to win but they all line up with their scapegoats instaed of taking responsiblity for not feilding the right candidate or reading the room properly They say Harris lost because America will not vote for a woman, some say it was because of white males. They seemed to ignore that women consist the majority of voters so it is women who voted against Kamala or that Blacks (female and male) who are traditionally democrats started openly coming out against Kamal and in support of Trump. The signs were there already. Similarly, you split an opposition party into 3 factions and somehow it is INEC's fault. Kamal did not lose because she is black or because she is a woman, obi did not lose because he is Ibo. They both lost because they are unelectable. She is the wrong female and he is the wrong ibo. |
1stGenAmerican: AmazonTopaz: cococandy:what were you saying ? we use our brains when we predict not emotions, thats why we see things you people can never see. |
tolexy007:I knew he was winning when 1) he was shot.... you have to have the discerning spirit to read signs from God. 2) blacks (both male and female) started commenting against the democrats and supporting Trump casualobserver: |
lexy2014:go to Ikenne and ask your boss the midget that left Nigeria with 97% debt to revenue, almost zero reserves, backlog of outstanding forex, unprecedented printing of the Naira and on the brink of bankrupty and collapse. eeeediot |
N3TRAL:What resume? Resume of a career hoe and side chick, adulterer, sending the most blacks to prison? Unable to answer questions, being the VP to a woeful Dunce in Biden? Part of a regime that started it supported numerous wars, enabling mass migration of illegal Immigrants because she thought they would vote for her, record inflation, unaffordable housing, supporting LGBT and trans all over the world? Which one exactly? |
lexy2014:I didnt even realise it was you I was conversing with. I wouldnt have bothered engaging you in the 1st place. I only just seen your handle. |
lexy2014:Go through my post history, I have explained it at least 50 times on nairaland i am not wasting my time on another ignoramus because another one of your comrades in ignorance will ask tomorrow to explain. the reqasons for the hardship and why they are not only unavoidable but necessary have been explained by many others in the press. social media Tv etc. If you dont know by now or are asking it is because you either dont want to know or you are trolling and anybody trying to explain is just wasting his time. |
lexy2014:You are too daft to understand so I am not going to waste my time. Those who can see beyond their noses understand this pain and the reforms are necessary. If I have to explain it to you, then it means you are ignorant, have not been listening or are not aware of the situation the country was in or it has been explained to you but you are too daft to comprehend or understand therefore my trying to articulate the reasons would just be a waste of time. Like I said you are an obidient, grey matter is not what you are known for. anyone who thinks peter Obi is worthy of discussion is not worth engaging......have a good day. |
lexy2014:He has taken bold decisions to set the country on the right path. The pain is a necessary side effect. The pain under Obi would have been worse if he didnt do the things Tinubu has done. You wouldnt understand as an Obidient. By definition only a certain kind of people support Obi....those with low IQ...the very shallow who dont see beyond their noses and cant see the big picture. |
helinues:The reason he should stop granting interviews is that everytime he speaks he exposes his emptiness. |
stanluiz:Like I said you Obidients are the way you are because you cannot think or read. Read my post again. Because in 2020 blacks and latinos were still fooled by the Democratic Party and now their eyes have opened. Better open your own eyes here. |
stanluiz:I am sure you are an Obidient. You people never seem to understand issues and look to blame others for your issues. Trump has always had the white males in his pocket. The issues here are the economy, security and wokeness. But in typical Obidient fashion you will continue to argue. |
AbahJFK:The world is tired of the wokeness of the liberals. Whether Biden endorsed her or not whether Biden himself ran, Trump was always going to win. You people still don’t understand why Trump won. |
travelzcruix:Trump is not PDP, Trump gained support among blacks, amongst Latinos, PDPp is busy creating internal factions. |
Winnin009:you are a compound fo000l. I have already established this from the beginning if you bothered to read but you keep wasting my time because you are an eediot who cannot read. In most universities you can choose to just teach and do no research but you will never become a full professor. The idea of a full professor is someone who is a leading light in his field and has contributed to the body of knowledge in that field through research and/or academic publications. If all you do is teach, no publications, no research, no new contribution to the body of knowledge in your field, the most you will become is a senior lecturer or associate professor. stop wasting my time!! |
Winnin009:You really are wasting my time now. It is clear to anyone that being a professor in America is not the same as in the UK or Nigeria. You clearly lack common sense in addition to ignorance. I’m I have to repeat the same things and you are still arguing then there is no point continuing on this path. Maybe you need to learn how to read. The last part of the picture says he will be involved in research and teaching. You dont become a professor without teaching, you dont become a professor without research. Whether under the American system or the Uk system which we operate. Good bye and stop wasting my time. Take your own advice and google some American universities. You have never schooled abroad, you have no expose to other systems, you don’t even have a passport yet you are arguing with people who know more than you. Perhaps if you had any brain cells you would have googled websites for academic vacancies in the US and see what is required for what instead of wasting my time with your ignorance. https://www.higheredjobs.com/faculty/ https://jobs.chronicle.com/jobs/faculty-positions/ If you go to the second link and c select entry level and faculty positions, you will see a list of assistant professor roles. Like I have said to your thick skull numerous times. Assistant professor is an entry level position in America equivalent to a lecturer grade 1 or grade 2 in Nigeria. From there you rise to associate professor then full professor. In Nigeria you start as lecturer, grade 2, grade 1, senior lecturer, associate professor/reader or straight to full professor. What we call lecturer (1or2) in Nigeria is what they call assistant professor in America that ignoramuses likes you think means full professor. In the same way we colloquially call all lecturers in Nigeria “lecturers”, so also they call their lecturers professors irrespective of rank and status. This Dabiri guy is a full professor but he is not 25yrs old he is 44yrs old and abeg while not taking away from his accomplishments, there is no big deal becoming a professor at 44. Many Nigerians have become full professors in their late 20s/early 30s. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dabiri Adebayo Adedeji for example became a full professor at 36 and at 44 had retired from academics. Iya Abubakar was a full professor at 28, and at 44 was Minister of defense. Stop wasting my time!!!

Winnin009:Below is a vacancy for an assistant professor at Columbia university. As you can see you don’t require any experience to be an assistant professor. The only requirement is that you earned your PhD in the last 3 years and you are interested in academic research. Now please stop disturbing me.
|
Winnin009:I am not wrong. There are 2 types of academic career paths in American universities tenured and non tenured. If you are tenured then you are on the research path and even as a graduate assistant you are a “professor” but in actuality your official title is assistant professor which the equivalent of lecturer in Nigeria. Other teachers who do not engage is research are called teaching assistants. The difference between Nigeria(Uk) and the US is that if you are not engaged in research you are never on the professorial path and are never called a professor. In Nigeria you are a lecturer whether you do research or not but you will will rise to senior lecturer but you will never become a professor without research in the same manner as you don’t become a full professor in the US even though you will be called professor throughout your career. Point is being a “professor” in America is not necessarily the same as a professor in the Uk and Nigeria. All “professor” means in the US is that you are involved in research. I repeat: You can be called a “professor” in America and in reality you are only the equivalent of a junior lecturer grade 2 in Nigeria or the UK. In America they distinguish between “professors” (assistant professor/associate professor) and full professors which is the equivalent of a professor in Nigeria. A junior lecturer in Nigeria is an assistant professor in the US. In the Uk or Nigeria you are not called professor until you reach the top. In the USA once you decide you are embarking on a career in academic research you are called a professor even if you are at the bottom of the ladder and have never done any research or published any papers.

I have been hear8ng Ajayi Ajayi for a few election cycles now, I didn’t realize this Ajayi man is so unintelligent |
God1000:Did she break the law or not? It is only in Nigeria someone will break the law of another country (xenophobia or no xenophobia) and you fast track the person to represent your country at the expense of those who were legitimately contesting. |
10mobile:I don’t want to dampen your excitement but in America an ordinary entry level lecturer AKA graduate assistant is called a professor in America. (Technically an assistant professor). Every lecturer in a university in America is referred to as a “professor”. Being called a professor in America does not mean you have the same ranking as a British or Nigerian professor. Americans use the term “professor” the same way we use the term “lecturer’. We do not distinguish whether he is assistant lecturer, lecturer grade 1/grade 2 or senior lecturer.

Again this is the second road trip in 2 weeks that shows Obi lacks the ability to plan and highlights his inability to manage resources including time. A man of his stature doesn’t have advisers/assistants to plan his itinerary or is this how he plans to run Nigeria? Even lowly me, I seek advice from those familiar with a route before I embark on road trips and I only embark on those whose feedback is positive. I would rather give the celebrant money than waste my time on a journey I would eventually abort or cause extreme disruption to my schedule. This is why we say obidients are not very bright. They celebrate every complaint he makes instead of asking the right questions |

Peter obi cannot be president of Nigeria full stop. If you want an Ibo president, look for another Ibo candidate and wait for 2037. Atiku is not going to help the man who destroyed his lifelong ambition. Even if he tried he will fail, the north would rather endure another 4 years of Tinubu despite all the noise they are making now and know they have 8 clear years to themselves. And let me make it clear, an Ibo man cannot be president without support of the SW. The North has not forgotten about 1966. The only difference is some make noise everyday about civil war and Biafra and the north keep quiet because they have no need to be noisy. Know that and know peace! |
To the best of my knowledge of the Bible the rules for one man one wife apply to overseers (leaders of the church) and kings. The Bible also says a man shall not divorce his wife except for sexual infidelity. |
hammed71:It is not unsimilar to what is happening to Nigeria. We kicked the can of reforms and subsidy removal down the road for decades. Whoever won in 2023, pain for Nigeria was inevitable. It was a choice between the pain of Venezuela or the pain of reforms. Whoever wins, Americas decline is inevitable and already in motion….sell your dollars. If you look at US bonds, rates are going up despite the federal reserve cutting rates. Normally it should go down ass they cut rates. That’s because demand for US debt is waning so the coupon (interest rate) has to rise to attract buyers. The way rates rise on bonds is for the price of US bonds to fall. If people are selling your bonds it’s a sign of diminished confidence in the bond. A sign all is not well. Below is the US 10yr yield. Since they cut rates in September and falling in anticipation, yields are now higher than before the cut. To give an idea of the problem with the US, their federal budget is approx, $6T and income $4T. Their deficit is about $2T and growing every year. Their total debt is about $34T. A third of their spending is financed via printing money. If investors stop buying or pull back on US debt, if becomes more expensive to service debt or/ and they have to cut back on spending. In an economy that has a meager GDP growth any cut back on spending is devastating.

WriterNig:The downfall of the USA has started. All the things that made it great are starting to unravel. It doesn’t happen overnight but it has started. The dollar will soon be a worthless currency. Heads they lose, tails they lose. Vote democrats the dollar bubble increases, vote Trump, he imposes tarrifs, the world decouples, world trade suffers, the U.S. economy suffers. It’s a no win situation for the US. |
richie240:Like I said she’s not my type. Either in looks or complexion but I can agree that she is pretty. For me sometimes you can be too pretty you become unattractive. You start to look like a mannequin. For that reason, I generally don’t find models and beauty queens attractive. Whether you are a Naomi Campbell or a Bianca Ojukwu, I find neither attractive but I can recognize the beauty. Attractive and beautiful are 2 different things. |
