@Bellong: I don't believe OP is asking outright for a church to lie on his/her behalf. I see it more as an inquiry, and it can be likened to a job position as well. Considering the uniqueness of OP's skills in the Australian society, I think it will be rare to find many who can play the talking drum; and if that were to be an advertised position, then OP may stand a chance of being genuinely sponsored. So, I think the OP's question is if a church can sponsor him to come to Australia and play such instrument should they be unable to find someone in Oz. bellong: 12 Likes |

Too easy boss! 100% positive assessment as a Chemical Engineer with such a profile... and it's assessed by Engineers Australia Depending on how you package your application and the evidence submitted in support of your experience, your 5 years as a Materials and Planning Engineer would also be recognised as a related occupation coz Materials and Chemical are under the same ANZSCO 233*** (233111 and 233112). Best wishes. DIVFAVOR: 1 Like |

Hi, I thought Chemical Engineer has a caveat** on the list as not eligible to apply for any state nomination 190? Has there been an update to this from the 2017 release? I haven't been following recent changes to the list, but it's worth triple checking to be sure it's an eligible occupation for 190 sponsorship before proceeding to avoid disappointments and waste of time and cost. From what I recall, Chemical Engineer is only on the Medium to Long term Skilled list; it's not on the short term list. Consequently, it only qualifies for 189 and few others but strictly not 190 or 457 which was indicated by a caveat** on the occupation. This information may have been obsolete as I'm not abreast of current updates to the list. So, it's best revisiting the subject with a view to debunk the above claim before proceeding further. Best wishes. wapu: |

I don't see any stunt in stating the fact or providing correct information. You should understand that most of these assessors have never left Australia let alone visit Nigeria. So, they treat applications globally rather than based on regional locations. Asking an applicant from Nigeria for a Social Security is just one of those. And as the OP rightly said, Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate Card is only applicable to Lagos State atm unless other states have joined, but Rivers state definitely hasn't. Let's not mistake it with a TIN card. Who knows if the assessor was even testing the OP to see if he would be able to provide the requested documents, knowing full well that they're not applicable; just as a means of concluding on a suspicion of false document submission. Many have successfully done the same and got the desired outcome. It's not every information that's requested that we should invent out of nowhere. We need to be careful in our responses to assessors and case officers because they're becoming aware of the stunts we pull as they encounter more applications from Nigeria. As for DIBP, you don't have any issue for as much as you assessed your experience with EA. People encounter difficulties especially when they choose to claim experience without getting recognition from the assessing authority. Only in very few cases would a case officer go beyond the decision or authority of EA regarding your skills. And that would be if the CO suspects a clear discrepancy between what is on the EA outcome letter and what you've claimed in your application. There are many out there who are stuck with EA because they can't provide additional information to support the claims and documents in their application. Others have been given negative outcomes (not even Technologist) because they can't support the claims on their episodes. Anyone can get almost anything especially in Naija, but it's best to Keep It Simple... Michaelamo: jayooh: 3 Likes |

No, it doesn't reflect on IMMI account with regards changing the Last Updated Date However, if you updated them of the change in circumstances via your Immi Account, there's usually a record of this showing when the update was sent when you click the Update Details tab It doesn't change any information on your Application Home Page; the dates Submitted and Last Updated remains unchanged. david27617: 1 Like |

Hello, I saw your earlier reply but chose not to reply because I believed you took me out of context. Also, I'm rather optimistic than pessimistic and so would prefer getting a solution, a direction, an assistance, a way out than a mere "She can't get admission with just her WAEC" which was rather discouraging than helping out with the requested information. I guess you got me wrong; I can't see where in my post I claimed she can get admission with only WAEC. I've only stated what she has and what we are confused about. My purpose of posting here was of course to get assistance, not to say what is and what isn't. To clarify I agree she can't get admission with only WAEC which is why she wrote the German Language test and we started looking at Studienkollegs. We got stuck when we got confused about the training requirements for nursing. As for where I got the information about applying through Uni-Assist, it's on Studienkollegs page (See attached for Non EU students). The information I shared were only based on findings relating to Bachelor of Nursing or related health courses. Thanks for the further information; knowing that you're already studying at Studienkollegs and the possibility of changing courses under the same professional line would help a long way. Thanks once again, the information you gave was really useful as I can see there are different Studienkollegs and I've only looked at the one in Hannover. Jigba:

Thank you very much for this information. I've had a look and the international Health Science course seems not to require any proof of training or experience and in fact accepts German Level B1 and English level B2. So, she seems to be eligiblefor this as is. However, taking a look at the Bachelor of Nursing for this university still shows the same requirements for proof of training in a professional health centre. Pls see attached. Is there anyway around this? Or international students can't study Nursing in Germany? Cheers Ekykool:

Thanks guys for your prompt response. We are also aware of the German Language requirement. She's currently on B1; didn't pass B2 on her 1st attempt but already registered for a resit and attending German Language preparation classes. We also know about the student college i.e. studienkolleg. Again, this requires us to first identify a course and university before applying for college as we may not be able to change her course after completing the college. We also found that we can't apply directly to studienkolleg; we are required to apply either through Uni-Assist or a University which would then refer us to studienkolleg. Pls correct me on any of these if I'm wrong. So, my main query remains can we get her admission into a University for undergraduate study, specifically Bachelor of Nursing, without meeting the requirement for completion of training, practice, work experience or contract of offer for training from a cooperating hospital, clinic or health centre in Germany? This question is because almost every university offering a health related course as this as a requirement besides the university entrance exam and B2 in German Language. We just wanna ensure that we are heading in the right direction and not to a road block. Anyone with information or experience with getting admission for a bachelor's degree in nursing or health related courses in Germany should pls help out. Thanks once again. I apologize for derailing the thread a bit. dailydolar: 1 Like |

Hi guys, I need help as I've been searching for days but losing more hope of getting the desired results with every click made. We've been tryna find a school in Germany for my niece with no success. She's completed her WAEC over a year ago and has been waiting on her Aunt to get her admission but I fear it's taking too long. If anyone could guide me or direct me on how to apply for admission for undergraduate studies, specifically Bachelor of Nursing or related would be really appreciated. Anyone who has successfully gotten admission in this area should pls reply with a guide as to how. We know about DAAD and Uni-Assist; our main concern is that all the universities we've checked requires some sort of training, assistant, or work experience to gain admission. Is this for real or are we mixing things up? Coz I find it hard to believe that someome who just finished year 12 is expected to have experience when even university graduates don't. I would really appreciate helpful hints and tips regarding applying for admission to undergraduate or bachelor degree programmes. This thread seems to be more focused on the visa process; if there's any link to another thread discussing admission to German Universities, I'll appreciate sharing. Thanks. |

Wow! Congrats mate; reading from you on Facebook forced me here on suspicion as I couldn't wait for your confirmation. Really happy for you on this defining breakthrough. I admire your resilience, perseverance and determination through it all. Yet another encouragement to all that there's no option as giving up or impossible. It's always left to the individual to decide how far and how best it gets. Best of luck here on. Hopefully we catch up soon in Oz unless you've already been conned to NSW by the GMP crew... Without going into too much details, if your tourist visa doesn't have condition 8503 (No Further Stay), then you shouldn't be too bothered as you can apply for your spouse visa as late as 1wk before the expiration of your current visa. Once you submit your spouse visa application by paying the visa fee, You'd automatically be issued a bridging visa which allows you to remain legally in Australia until a decision is made on your spouse visa. PS: You must be very lucky or have a good travel history to be granted a tourist visa from Nigeria without condition 8503 Note: if you have condition 8503 on your current visa, you can't apply for another visa while in Australia unless on extenuating circumstances. Else you'd be penalised. Nothing is cast on stones though, you can always find away around it. Possibly speak to an agent. Tadell: |

First, you need to notify DIBP of your change of circumstances by updating them using Form *** (can't recall the exact form number). They'll then respond with what you need to do; including how to make payment if any. You should contact @iceberg for more info coz he updated his circumstances as well. Cheers. mamajaz: 1 Like |
