My church is a case study. A disease outbreak was prophesied last October and we were told to hold one day prayer and fasting so that the disease won't come near us. Some churches also received same prophecy.

No I have not read the book.

Some pastors/prophets prophesied about the outbreak of a disease, although they were not specific about the name or maybe the nature of the disease. If the OP deny this, then he is a liar or probably has not done thorough investigations.

All this nairaland daily arguments/posts trying by all possible means to discredit the nature and character of God keeps making my faith stronger by the day, no more walking in the path of blind faith but reasonable and investigative faith. God Is Real!

So let the wailers/Atheists ride on, because their foolishness is an amusement to me.

Even the president/founder of Christianity, in fact the one who is the sole essence that is the major, unique and spectacular figure which the Bible talks about(of which, I'm talking about the Lord Jesus Christ) didn't say His followers need a book to know Him or follow Him. Just believe Him, and Holla the Holy Spirit begins to lead you in all truth. In addition, He comforts.

The Bible is a reference point for us to check if we are in line with the Lord Jesus Christ as at from the beginning.

Many old friends and illiterates in the villages who belong to the Christian community do not read the Bible but yet they still demonstrate and live like Christ Jesus.

Anything for the money without considering the consequences.

1. Ask God for forgiveness.

2. Tell your husband about the situation at hand and also ask him for forgiveness. If you are sincere God will help you to tender his heart.

This will not be an easy process for your nuclear family, in-laws and extended family. But with God nothing is impossible.

3. Report every threat and blackmailing details to the police and allow them do their job. Also make sure you follow up with their investigations.

4. Find a trusted ally you can always talk to so that you won't suddenly slip into depression or something worse than that.

5. Be vigilant about your movements henceforth. That guy might go extra miles to gain his cash back in kind or whatever means. Be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove.

Remember it is a process, everything takes time but we all must be considerate and patient.

Lets divide this church population into 2 equal halves and assume that only 50,000 people pay tithe of 1,000 monthly. At the end of the month, the total tithe received will be 50,000,000 and also 600,000,000 at the end of the year.

The price of a brand new jet cost between 3-90 million dollars. Because it won't be a chartered jet, but for official purposes only, lets say the church might opt for a lower price which is 3,000,000 dollars

Now, 1 dollar is about 363 naira. And 3,000,000 dollars is 1,089,000,000. If you divide this amount by 600,000,000 it will be 1.8. This indicates that a church can decide to buy private jets every two years as the case may be.

A church whom the members pay tithes can decide to buy private jet of any amount or even second hand based on the population.

So just cut that crap you are saying!

Don't tell me about other expenses because they do collect offering payments, persuade members to sow seeds which can be voluntary or mandatory. There is also Thanksgiving offering and maybe others that I may not know.

Tithing is in the law and the law of Moses has become obsolete. As New covenant Christians, we are not under the law of Moses but the law of grace, life and truth which is Christ Jesus our Lord.

Giving is part of the gospel but all forms of giving whether within or outside the church must be done without compulsion but with a willing heart, because God loves a cheerful giver.

You can decide to give any amount, weekly, monthly, yearly or even daily based on the leading of the Holy Spirit in your heart.

Thank God for latest development in all sectors, the eyes of men are receiving more light. We are in the 21st century; an age of science, wisdom, knowledge and enlightenment.

Paternity test should be appreciated by women so that they won't cater for a child who is not theirs in the case of birth switching. Paternity test should also be accepted by men to save them the stress of investing in an already failed business(catering for a non biological child as
result of a game of deceit played especially by his wife) even as at from the beginning.

Lets beware of promiscuity because at the end it leads to various forms of chaos. Men of old were polygamous, have many children and live their lives in way that best suits them. But the question today is how many of their children were they able to cater for or give maximum fatherly love or care?

Hey don't get it twisted. Man is "authority and superiority". All subordinates(wife/wives and children) must dance to his tune. However, the sound must be one that won't cause chaos and rebellion in his family.

Me too, I hate manipulators/manipulations be it from a man or woman. I just damn hate it! It disgusts me!
