It's not because of morality we are here. But because of our survival. If there are other better ways, we'll forgo morality. Hence, at the end of the line, criminals plead guilty and want justice to be merciful.

Trends are a result of what we punish and reward. And if we make inappropriate decisions in assigning both, there will be a big problem. Overall, it gears towards survival; either following good or evil.

So, you must be strategic at all points. The world is a game of MASKS. Being good doesn't mean you'll be treated with good hands. The same way corrupt politicians are being applauded by their hostages. It's all about survival.

You don't act honest with the dishonest. Except you are stronger than them and can punish their behavior.

Again, you cannot come to a duel with a pen and paper and persuade the opponent holding a gun to see reasons with you, except you're wearing a bulletproof or have an armored tank.

You must come as they are to ensure your survival and defend your territory.

Every person on earth has at least one individual who knows tangible amounts of their secrets. Great conmen and magicians have assistants. In the religious sense, it's God and his angels.

Most times exposing your vulnerability does the opposite of love, help, and care. However, by being vulnerable, you can be able to empathize with other humans which will stimulate them to expose their vulnerabilities.

You must be strategic in ways you show your vulnerability so that you can be able to make counters or not get damaged further in cases when those you thought were angels are demons.

That's why Jesus Christ was able to fulfill his mission. Because despite his vulnerability, empathy, denial, betrayal, and crucifixion, he was not without POWER. Power to make situations align with his purpose. Power to make people draw nigh to his mission. Power to preserve disciples that'll later span generations.

This is a great piece. It complement the cause and effect theory postulated by Braun and Isaac Newton's third law of motion . I tried using the cause and effect theory on understanding the mind of a rapist sometimes ago but I was met with closed doors everywhere. I realize most Nigerians do not care about why you act the way you do but how you act the way you do. It's crazy really because in the long run we keep going in circles without getting solutions to even basic issues of life.How do we solve a problem without understanding the cause? People of other races understand the cause and effect theory and it's one of the reasons they are above us.
We always expect the best of people without trying to acknowledged or understand the struggle. Hence the mantra "People wants to see the glory not the story" We just want to see the good part. Lol look at where we are now.

In as much as I personally try to understand the rationale behind people's actions I have come to realize also that I tend to make excuses for people's bad behavior. Some people are just goats in and out,past present and future. They are goats because they are naturally goats .
This brings me to the conclusion that stirring the surface, and uncovering the hidden shouldn't be an excuse to justify the darkness. Use the past to modify the present not to justify it.

Understanding cause and effect isn't a way of justifying errors or making excuses. The essence is to know why an event happened or occurs and how to either wither it by taking a deep look at the cause - root, in cases of bad effects, or improve on it in cases of good effects.

Behaviors are both genetic and environmental.

For example: Yesterday, I read a research headline that food fussiness exhibited by children is partially inherited.

So you see, you don't conclude at the go. You must weigh all sides to reach a reasonable conclusion.

This leads us to the 3rd and 4th order of thinking: effects of your current action and how that action will result in another action and the effect of that action.
This is a difficult task to do for the average person. Hence, most just move at the instance without prior deliberation.

The average person finds it difficult to make changes, except if it is based on recurring incentives or the presence of punitive actions. This makes it easy to deal with cause and effect. That's, incentivize good behaviors and punish bad behaviors.

Stirring the surface is to understand the depth of any behavior or action. And it doesn't in any way approve of behaviors that plunder lives and properties thereby making society uncomfortable for human existence.

The wealthier you are, the more influence you have in the corridor of life and power. You alter dynamics to suit the state of their mind.

4. The difference between the prisoner and the corrupt leader on the throne is wealth and power. When the latter lacks it and dries off, he joins his colleagues in jail.

5. In the same line, the rich fool is more louder and appreciated than the poor sage. Wealth separates them.

6. 80% of the human population can't reach that point of being numbered among the top millionaires, billionaires, and trillionaires. Same thing with experiencing individual sovereignty, freedom of speech, and power over the arms of the clock. Only a few reach there.

7. In the absence of wealth, strive to live life on your terms.

Though individual sovereignty threatens those who are dedicated to keeping the people as hostages in chains and whips.

1. When choosing a career or means of income, it is better to choose from a place of individual sovereignty, freedom to pursue your ambitions, and peace of mind.

Jobs don't offer these privileges, even though only a few pay huge amounts as salaries and allowances.

2. Life can take any dimension. It doesn't take note of your plans and strategies. Just like the rise and fall of ocean tides at will. What you do is notice the changes and keep deciphering ways to maneuver and stay afloat.

3. If both jobs pay approximately the same salary, better to move permanently into the tech field. You love it and it is a field with infinite opportunities.

Perhaps, if you can manage both that'll be good (just joking though). What about outsourcing and getting a percentage from anyone? Is there any chance of that?

4. Preferably, it is better to suffer on your terms with your freedom and peace of mind intact than to work from Monday - to Sunday, like a "while loop" with pay that can't cater to your needs conveniently.

Ask yourself this question: Can your annual salary in 10 years build a standard bungalow, assuming you didn't spend a dime?

This is a litmus test to use in choosing a career or one that has a great opportunity for growth despite a high or low salary.

5. Don't fear the unknown. Life is all about challenges. Fear the outcome of not trying than relinquishing because of the uncertainty of the adventure.

1. Were they with you when you were at your lowest point in life?

2. Is the relationship based on the help they rendered? Or, a business deal?

3. Do they appreciate you after each kind gesture and want to reciprocate in their little way?

If you get these questions right, then you're on your way to the truth.
But let each answer be based on repetitive analysis because emotions or vicissitudes of life can make people behave in certain ways that are outside their norm.

5. Business relationships are better to handle as the parties involved know what they want from the beginning.

In family and friendship, the questions above are relevant.

Now don't see reciprocation as identical or equal exchange. They can bring you a smile, happy moments, encouragement, and loyalty in exchange for the financial or any other help you gave them. However, it comes from a genuine desire to see you grow and succeed than your top-tier status.

Good example: your father, mother, and siblings. And good friends.

6. Be keen. With time you can sequester chaffs-sycophants from wheat - genuine lovers. Continue to test their reaction, with time their masks will fall.

Note: Don't make sacrifices to your detriment. Do as your muscles can and your mind pleases so that you can be able to carry yourself after every benevolence.

Reason why you will see people running away from Nigeria because no free education/school, no free health care and no free handout at old age.

I beg to differ. Reason because:

1. Humans are in a cycle. That cycle is interdependence. We're all connected despite differences in culture, socio-economic status, environment, or religion.

2. Your take on self-reliance is coming from a place of higher leverage. That's you have skills, tools, or qualities that you can utilize to meet your needs.

But can you meet your needs when you can't leverage them? Simply put: How can you be able to leverage your qualities or tools when there are no people to test them on?

You can be a commercial/subsistence farmer and can feed your family and your society. However, your knowledge of agriculture is irrelevant if you have no tools to work.

Or, do you want to first branch into craft making and the chemical industry to produce your cutlass or agrochemicals before starting to farm?

3. If your value is high, it means your leverage will be high and you can make good deals. That's what people mean by "self-reliance".

However, if your value becomes irrelevant just like the carts and horses became redundant with the invention of the combustion engines, you can't say you are self-reliant any longer just like the cart owners and horse riders. Except you've built other areas to protect you or quickly learn to acclimatize to the new order.

4. Even those at the top of the pyramid are dependent on the large base of the pyramid - those at the bottom.
Remember that the top of the pyramid is tiny but keep standing because of its foundation.

Whether at the top or bottom, humans need each other.

5. Of course, it's stupid to live from hand to mouth, where your life oscillates between the lips of another man.
For this reason, one must be able to have something he can leverage to meet his needs. Like the farmer who plants seeds to gain both food and money.

5. People don't value wisdom. The beautiful and charming fool is more appreciated than the sage. People only value wisdom when they are in dire need. But when they've convalesced, they are lured by glittering masks.

6. You're loved to the extent of how usable you are. The higher the attraction towards you is an indication of the volume of value you produce.

Ants go to sugar; moths to light bulbs; parasites to healthy hosts.

You're not loved. You're just a tool. A means to an end.

To solve this problem, start a relationship as a business and see if it will end in kindness. Except in conditions where the opposite end is starting with kindness.

7. You want favors. You want promises. Because they're shortcuts to your desires. Because they tend to make you want to work less. However, they're dangerous.

Unfulfilled promises and favors drain you more than making several trials and attempts. It blocks your ambitions and reduces your speed.

Don't make promises. Give at that moment when you can. Don't tell anyone tomorrow when you don't know if you'll see tomorrow. And don't take promises to heart.

8. Everyone you'll come across in life will tell you they have a high preference for truth. I agree with you. I had an argument with Caveadullam I think two years ago, where he was saying that the black race is mentally inferior. I vehemently disagreed with him, but I keep seeing pieces of evidence that prove his point.

It is a cold hard fact, but nevertheless, I just find it hard to accept. Even in the US, the so-called black lives matter only when white cops kill black folks. But most of the gun deaths of black people are caused by other black people.

In Canada for example, I have a few friends that migrated there from Europe, and it was white folks that helped them with this thing called LMIA for free, but other black folks like them are charging about 30-40k CAD usd for sponsorship.

We don't think as a community, we constantly stab each other just to get ahead. We don't help. Even here on nairaland, scammers full everywhere hiding as visa agents. Tribal bigots flourish, and hate based on religion is even a thing.

So yes you are right. Even if Biafra secedes, or Oduduwa, the smaller groups will find divisions amongst themselves to hate each other. The bigger one will oppress the smaller one.

Secession doesn't even have to happen to observe this reality. Even in villages in some Igbo states, they won't allow their daughter/sons to marry from another village. Ironically, they see no problem if their children marry a white man.

Genetical modifications have been going on for centuries when it comes to food. Plants are laboratory toys for genetic engineers.

Allergy to food or other products is strongly rooted in the biophysical makeup of the individual. That's why most of us are allergic to foods that cause the growth of others. Africans have been binging on chocolate and carbohydrates for eons, yet, the rate of obesity is still low. Take note: obesity is inheritable.

The problem is the infusion of these (toxic) chemicals into different foods that the consumer will love to eat same time.

For example, Monosodium glutamate is present in many of the kitchen spices used together to prepare sweet aromatic food.
Consumption of these foods over time leads to body ailments. But these chemical compounds are present in tiny amounts in natural foods and cause no harm.

However, before these chemicals are added to food in any quantity, they are added in parts per million (ppm) to a neutral point not harmful to consumers.
The sachet and table water we drink is purified with chlorine. And chlorine is a dangerous chemical.

Whole synthetic food will be a fast killer. But it is not the case, and we don't see people dying every day. Though, many foods have been contaminated with chemicals to improve taste and color which has risen to increase the rate of allergy and predisposition to cancer.

The medical and pharmaceutical industries are not free though. Because there is a surge in these allergies and exposure to cancer due to food and drug consumption that would have been managed by encouraging whole foods and using natural remedies to cure ailments. It is business as usual. The masses are laboratory mice.

Moderation is key when it comes to these foods, and understanding your biochemical structure.

Inorganic or processed foods are more available and cheaper than organic foods, hence, consumers purchase more of them.

1. Relationships fail because men first fall in love before drawing and assigning boundaries. When a woman becomes romantically involved with a man, she's simply keying into his outline and frame.

2. Whether she has something to hide or unveil is dependent on that frame. Her respect is equivalent to the way she perceives him.

3. The man might double down on his values and principles to win a woman. However, when he does, he can't pick what he dropped to construct the defense of the union. The woman will find it difficult to absorb that reality because it's strange to her and hinder her agenda - genuine or deceitful.

4. The man must remain open to accepting her the way she is else chaos occurs due to constant friction and arguments about what must be and what shouldn't.

5. A promiscuous woman has the traits of promiscuity. Winning her with extreme kindness and love can't obliterate her desire for different men. Repentance be it religious, guilt, shame, self-improvement or self-discipline is a mere temporary sedation.

6. What she has exposed herself to for long will haunt her like a ghost - more handsome this time. She'll be tempted to create memories as with other humans, and can't hold up to their newly defined principles and will fall for the temptation again. Easier to avoid from the onset; withdrawal symptoms are harsh.

7. Women that grew up in a well-defined patriarchal community, with virile figures who are present and aware of societal changes and how they can affect them define themselves according to the customs.

8. Their tradition is not to keep women as slaves as the liberal society wants the unsuspecting to see it. But to protect these women from the unintended consequences of liberality without caution, guidance, and self-awareness.

9. The men they enter sexual union with within that community don't need to start defining dos and don't. Because the woman is already aware.

10. What the man does is build on this defined boundary and lead her and the family along. She knows what the man desires, and what is demanded of her by the community, hence, will comply.

11. When a woman who was formerly engaged with a jerk is pained, the heartbreak she suffers is because the jerk isn't willing to compromise his stance and gets subdued by her sermons and lectures. So, the relationship split.

12. Relationship is defined by boundaries. Formal and informal interactions are a result of boundaries set. Boundaries don't mean contempt, although, it's a solid response to contempt.

1. Yesterday, I saw a woman hawking boiled groundnut with her newly born child. Tightly tied to her back with a rough dirty wrapper.

The baby is between 3-4 months old. Meanwhile, the baby is the third of 3 children; the eldest is between 5-7 years, and the second child - is 3 years.

Before then, I have seen her struggling between heavy rainfall and scorching sunlight.

2. I love to see these children play. Their innocence when running and hiding from each other is a show of clean conscience.

Let me add: these children are physically beautiful. The combination of their voices, when they talk or sing is comparable to hosts of celestial bodies in procession for an angelic being.

3. They are not bothered by the economic status of their parents. Their clothes are worn out, but the joy they have within make them dance with them as if it was new.

Their understanding of the world is low and pure. Ignorance of human nature makes them mirthful every moment.

4. But each time the rays of my vision are cast on them, I see children who are lost in a world. This ignorance they enjoy is transient. From the lens of adulthood, they are suffering and deprived.

Twenty years from now, they will be challenged by reality. And their parents will be the first victim of their maliciousness due to their poor conditions.

5. The possibility of light at the end of the tunnel is ultra-slim. Because their parents can't even provide them with their basic needs. Their daily living is to find food and water to survive today, to have the strength to find food and water tomorrow.

6. The parents are hopeful, at least as adherents of religious faith, they are waiting upon God for a miracle, signs, and wonders.

7. Their optimism isn't wrong. However, they're not realistic. This is the reason there is a smooth transition of poverty from one generation to another. It is termed the "generational curse".

Predecessors didn't set any landmark or foundation for their children; the children still operate with the same technique as their predecessors.

This is the cycle of poverty. It lingers until someone in that genetic line, thinks and does things differently. Of course, it becomes a "supernatural miracle".

8. To understand why the poor reproduce, we must go back to evolutionary biology.

The goal of every living species is to have a safe environment for survival and reproduction. Myriads of adaptive features and behaviors are predicated on this template.

9. Wealthy people reproduce fewer children because they have ensured a good environment and made provisions for the survival of their children. Children can live for a long and reproduce successfully because they have the prerequisites necessary for survival and the spread of their genes.

10. Should I tell you about poor men?

They reproduce a higher number of children because they are not in the right environment and are low in resources expedient to cater for their children to ensure their survival.

Should in case one child die or become unable to reproduce, they have other children who can spread their genes.

Remember: it's all about survival, reproduction, and the spread of genes.

11. I understand the problem of the black tax. However, life is give and take.

Your parents and family helped you from infancy to adulthood until you become firm to survive on your own. This is because they want you to help them when they are weak and old.

No parents want evil for their children. It is our declining culture and poor economic conditions that are making us feel bad about our parents.

Our parents are guilty of their mistakes. But they also operated based on their knowledge and exposure.

Your parents and family will depend on you whether you are poor or rich. It is a cry for survival. And if you fail, it does everyone badly, as the family gene can't spread in the genetic pool.

You may say that you didn't choose to be in this world. Nobody does actually. Since you are here, make do with what you can instead of losing yourself to uncorrectable mistakes and wandering thoughts.

12. Sex is sweet. Good for the rich and poor. They will work to have a taste of it and its results - pleasures, and children.

If there is development on a national scale, citizens wouldn't want to reproduce many times.

Until then, the best is to advise poor people to reproduce the number of children they can cater to. Even though, we know it's a vicious cycle of poverty.
