@ poster Wow, there are so many My favorite is Naomi and Ruth. It is full of love and humility. Ruth was truly a good woman. God blessed her. Ruth was the wife of one of Boaz's relatives. Under the law, women had no legal standing of any kind, and could only be protected under law by their husbands. So, if a man died leaving a wife with no children, she had to seek out his eldest brother and he was supposed to marry her, both to have a child with her in her husband's name (so that the name would live on), but also so she would have protection under the law. The practice is called "Levirite marriage." The problem is that since she was a Moabitess (a woman from Moab), none of her husband's brothers would marry her, so her mother-in-law, Naomi, sent her to Boaz because he was not married and was a successful man, and a righteus man. There is a process of Ruth gleaning in his field, then sleeping at his feet. He was impressed that she a) knew the formal rituals, and b) followed the rituals of the Jews rather than those of the Moabites, who were not God-fearing people. It is not that he was smitten with her beauty, but that she was showing him this honor in they style of his own people. They married, and were ancestors of Jesus. Peace |
Christians don't have to announce to the world that they are fasting or rearranging their eating or feeding times. It is purely between you and your God and God who sees in secret knows it. There is a proper way to fast according to the Holy scriptures. Let's discuss it here. Why should a Christian fast and how should he/she fast?
re the highlight. I couldn't have said it any better. Fasting could be to draw closer to God personally or it could be for guidance with some problem that the individual or someone else is having. also one should include prayer with fasting Peace |
Is it mandatory for women to wear hijab. is it forbidden to wear make-up and a stretch hat (see attached)

I really enjoy this poem. Very powerful Peace |
All i know this is one example why market crash. Banks have been giving loans to people that should not be getting loans. it goes something like this: You want to buy a house, you get a large loan. You start paying it off. You find you can not pay it off You sell your hhouse. The price the house is sold for is less than can cover the loan the bank has lost money If this happens thousands of time the banks begin loosing millions of dollars. When a bank collapses then people cant trust investing in banks. As a result hard assets (gold etc) increase in value, money decreases in value. If money decreases in value, things begin costing more money (because money is worth less) If things cost more, companies cant pay their workers . workers get fired, unemployment rises. One thing I've learn from my mother is not to put all your eggs in one basket. Peace |
Sadly there are not 2 bank accounts, one for the useless war in Iraq and another for the real necessities of this country, you can't win a war you never should have started, that's all money down the drain. Now we have to go out and borrow more money from foreign countries, and if this bailout doesn't work, our taxes will skyrocket. We have wasted trillions of dollars on a war that benefits only interests groups and corporations like AIPAC, the oil industry, Halliburton, and Blackwater. You won't catch them sweating the financial crisis, but now the rest of us can't get loans for our homes and businesses, and the only solution comes with brutal risk. I told some folks on my job today that Bush should be tried for war crimes. This man words and actions led to the deaths of innocent people. like misinforming, misrepresenting information that led the country to an unnecessary war. They should hang him by his balls. Sadly, if Obama win, his first 4 years if not the entire 8 years is all about cleaning up the mess Bush left Peace |
House ignores Bush, rejects $700B bailout bill By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS, Associated Press Writer 5 minutes ago WASHINGTON - In a stunning vote that shocked the capital and worldwide markets, the House on Monday defeated a $700 billion emergency rescue for the nation's financial system, ignoring urgent warnings from President Bush and congressional leaders of both parties that the economy could nosedive without it. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080929/ap_on_bi_ge/financial_meltdown |

@davidylan and others who quoting the Book of Acts about what God created don't call unclean. I only hope y'all know that Peter was dreaming. Y'all need to go back and read the entire scripture Acts Ch 10 and 11. Peter had a dream. We are not to eat swines flesh nor bottome crawlers, these foods are unclean. Growing up we never eat pork, in fact my mother and father are vegetarians. It was after I hit the good ole USA i start eating pork and all other meat. Right now, i don't eat pork or shell fish. I am trying to stop eating all meat. slowly but surely. Acts 10:9-23 Peter's Vision 9About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance (daydreaming). 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat." 14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." 15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." 16This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven. 17While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon's house was and stopped at the gate. 18They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there. 19While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Simon, three[a] men are looking for you. 20So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them." 21Peter went down and said to the men, "I'm the one you're looking for. Why have you come?" 22The men replied, "We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to have you come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say." 23Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests. |

Nothing is wrong with the religion section. It is the followers of different religions who are intolerant towards other religions - hence the arguments, You see, its just human nature - we all get excited over religion. Heck Religion is responsible for the majority of wars in human's history so the lil argument on this forum is what i call "small potatoes" Peace |
n-guage seems like u know him so I am out of the personal attack. However, I don't think he is all that cold blooded since you were able to write what you wrote. All i am saying is that many times I want to say what's on my mind but I can't say it when he is around. Guess I have to get brave like you and rokiatu Peace and enjoy the rest of your day |

See link below to refresh your memory. And after watching this video, I think I am going to add Chris request "Hearless and wicked" ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEdPmuPoixk&feature=related |
@ olabow And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers. And be not thou of those who deny the revelations of Allah, for then wert thou of the losers Sura 10vs94 A simple breakdown But if you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to you, ask those who read the Book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your Lord, therefore you should not be of the disputers Questions Olabowa: Who read the book b4 you? the Holy Bible (scriptures) was long before the Mu$limsright?? Sura 10 vs94 is proof that the Holy Bible was God’s preserved Word. There4 the Quoran does in fact confirm that the Holy Bible is the inspired, preserved Word of God. lol, I love the holy quoran. its getting sweeter and sweeter ![]() Peace |
