Felicity Lithium batteries stock is very limited as I type
Thank God for the increasing number of guys that have ventured into Lithium cells importation, assemblage and supplies to end users. It's what has partially contributed to the increasing affordability of that energy storage type, although the recent loss in Naira value is doing great injustice to the price; I got another quotation that has added as much as 15k over 4 weeks while some gave a depressing 45k higher.

If not for those guys, Felicity lithium limited stocks will definitely mean an arm and a leg to acquire lithium batteries like Felicity's.

And truly, guys are mopping up the Lithium that enters this country at a surprisingly fast rate. I initially thought probably increasing number of users. But numbers of users here as a microcosm, seem not to increase. So I came to one plausible conclusion: resellers are mopping it up. That may explain the difference if as much as 45k between prices of assemblers and re-sellers.

The specs are good, also with the RS communication.

But it would also be good to have first hand reviews from users, that's assuming we have peeps on this forum who have acquired it.

It will be. Current is "pay as you go" or taken as required. You can only talk about the maximum current your system is capable of giving. No one is sure what it will give under every conditions. Even if your system can do 100A, you need adequate voltage to drive it through. Look at a car battery. It is only 12v and you can complete the circuit, i.e. touch both the negative and the positive simultaneously without any shock. Yet that battery pushes out between 100-200A when you are using it to start your car.

Voltage is always there. Current normally do not flow until a circuit is completed. And how much current will flow is dependent on what demand is being made by the electronics. But in the case of electrocution, voltage is the most important. What current will flow is dependent on the resistance of the body and the contacts the body is making with the groud. A good insulating rubber shoe will reduce the current passing through for example. Sweat or otherwise wet body and wet ground will reduce the resistance and increase the current flow.

So, in electrocution, current is of little importance, it is the voltage that is crucial. Yes, it is the current that will kill, but without adequate voltage, there won't be enough current to cause danger. That is why when 11,000V from High Tension poles falls on anything, it drives enough current through to incinerate whatever is its path. 220V can never do that. 220V will most likely send the heart into such a very rapid, irregular beating (tachycardia) that blood circulation becomes ineffective, it rarely causes burns.
This una new talk about electrocution is beginning to make my heart go giz giz already. And here I am planning to jump 24v system to go 48v as I plan to connect more appliances.

However it seems you have missed the dimeanatjon between DC and AC in terms of point of potential electrocution. A voltage of 300 from DC source will not electrocute if it touches the naked hands, but 250v from an AC source will not be so forgiving. This is because of the alternating nature which increases its potential to cause cardiac arrhythmias culminating in cardiac arrest. Is the same that's responsible for the burns.

A tazer can give a momentary voltage as high as 2500v, but it does not usually kill because it's not from an AC source. It only causes a jolt which is limited to the level of activity at the peripheral muscles. Although that's not to say it isn't a potential danger in those with preexisting cardiac conditions or in those with cardiac pacemakers.

Electroshock therapy to the head (applied in mental health) delivers high voltage to the head that the px is actually physically jolted right from the head. It is a very discomforting therapy even for me as an observer or prescriber, but it doesn't kill 'em.

I think the potential for fire from sparks when shorted is fairly the same with the two sources. So I think we speak of three potential hazards depending on scenarios of AC or DC - the shock/jolt, the burns and the spark which may cause fire.
CrimeMarried Nursery Worker Who Had S3x With 13-year-old Boy And Had His Child Faces by ceaser(op): 10:30am On May 19, 2020
A married nursery worker who had illegal s3x with a minor and gave birth to his child is currently facing a 30 months jail term.

The married female nursey worker who had sex with a 13-year-old boy and gave birth to his child has now been jailed for 30 months.

Leah Cordice, 20, from Windsor, Berkshire, who started sleeping with the boy when she was 17 at that time had initially denied the sexual activity and claimed that the teenager r3ped her, a false claim which a jury at Reading Crown Court rejected and she was convicted of having sex with her victim on at least five occasions.

At one occasion, she seduced the teenager by pulling down his trousers and asking for sex after a drunken night out in January 2017.

As she continued her sexual relationship with the boy she kept it hidden from her husband. She also sent the teenager complimentary text messages and bought him presents of fish and chips.

Judge Peter Clarke QC, said: 'Cordice asserted that the truth was that she had been raped by the victim on multiple occasions. I had and have difficulty with that assessment.

'I heard no indication from either Cordice or the victim that she held him in any particular affection, the evidence from at least one witness was of physical obsession and self-indulgence as opposed to emotional attachment.'

The victim and Cordice both lived in the same area of Windsor and had known each other for many years before the abuse began, prosecutors said.

In a victim impact statement, the boy said he had been diagnosed with separation anxiety by a psychologist, which was a result of him having his child taken away by social services.

The boy told the court: 'I cannot see my child and have not had any involvement with her recently. Seeing my daughter and then having her taken out of my life was very hard to cope with.

'It feels like I was punished for what I have been through. I hope in the future I can move on from this and have a relationship with my daughter.

'Social media has just exploded with comments and posts about Leah. I do not feel anger towards her anymore. If anything, I worry about her. If she does go to prison for what she has done, I hope it is not for a long time. I hope Leah has involvement in her daughter's life.'

In a separate victim impact statement, the boy's mother said: 'He was so young to become a father, but when he started having contact with his daughter it went very well. He has not done anything wrong but she has also been taken away from him.'

During the trial, the court heard the boy's police interview, where he claimed that the abuse began when Cordice started to hug him and kiss him, before pulling down his trousers and asking for sex.

Defending Cordice today, Tara McCarthy said: 'This is a desperately sad case all around. There are absolutely no winners. The age gap between the victim and Ms. Cordice is relatively limited.

'She is a very immature person, she is still and she certainly was then and it makes the situation difficult. She does accept this has had a significant impact on the victim. It is a situation that nobody really wants to be faced with.

'She had a relationship with him. She was also in a relationship with somebody else. Over-zealous outer family members made a union between Ms Cordice and her then-partner and, for a short while, husband. It led to the most awful situation happening and her being stuck and probably to some extent not facing reality.'

In March 2017, the boy she had sex with had been interviewed by police after one of Cordice's friends sent an email to the nursery where she was working to try to blow the whistle on the affair, the judge heard.

Cordice had blasted the allegation as malicious and the friend was issued with a harassment warning and a penalty notice for wasting police time, the court heard.

After the boy victim's mother later complained to the police, Cordice was arrested at her home in Windsor in July 2018 and she was later interviewed under caution.

She had provided a prepared statement, denying any sexual contact with the boy, and adding: 'He has always had a crush on me and would always make inappropriate remarks and do inappropriate things such as grab me and annoy me..'

She reportedly denied that the victim was the father of her child but was forced to take a DNA test which showed,' with a probability of 14 million times more likely than not, that the 13-year-old boy was the father.'

Cordice had been living with her husband, an apprentice mechanic who had believed he was the father and had been bringing up the little girl as his own child.

Her husband, who has since separated from Cordice, said: 'There was an argument straight after the DNA test. I was bawling my eyes out. Honestly, if you want to talk about being traumatised, that traumatised me.

'I had a secure job, I had a nice place, I had a good relationship. I had an amazing life. Everything was going so well and all of a sudden everything got taken away from me: my child, my wife, home, job.

'I have trust issues now. I am worried about my relationships in the future. Next time I have a child with another person, I am going to have to say, "can I have a DNA test please".'

Cordice faced a two-week trial at Reading Crown Court, following which a jury convicted her of one multiple-incident count of sexual activity with a child which took place when she was 17.

After the conviction, the judge told the jury they did not need to return verdicts on two other counts which took place during the same time period, because the first count was 'compendious' enough to incorporate them.

The jury then acquitted Cordice on two further counts of the same charge which reflected times when she was aged 18 years.

For the one multiple-incident count, Judge Clarke sentenced Cordice to 30 months detention in a Young Offenders' Institution and said she would be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years. She will also have to sign into the Sex Offenders Register

My thermocool freezer was quite good in retaining item's temperature for a long period and also power saving(between 80 and 150) not until it developed a fault, and freezer kazeems engineer layed their hands on it, now it does minimum of 200w. My guess is that the engineer did direct connection which puts the freezer in turbo mode non-stop.
You better sell it and buy a new one. The one I had until about two years ago was also basterdized by "engineer". Something rated for 140 watts now stays on 250 watts. Worse still, it doesn't cool as fast nor hold foods frozen as long. I retired the thing straight. Looking to sell it, it dey one corner as I dey talk.

Sharp sharp I got a replacement 203 Litres that does 114 watts.

Talking about appliances getting faulty, I think I have been worry free for the past four years cos using solar has been able to keep appliances out of harm's way. No stabilizer headache (four of them are lying useless at the moment). The output from inverters are clean with no surges of any kind. All damages to appliances that I've experienced before have all been from NEPA surges and generator surges (especially that "I better pass" when I used it as a stop gap)

nigeria with epileptic power supply isnt so ideal for frost free fridges, however with the 30w consumption of an LG inverter by JUO, i think my modest setup can handle the fridge running 24/7.
I wonder if there is inverter chest freezer too. It'll be nice.

earthrealm:
LG burnt me badly in the freezer i bought 2 years ago, very poor chilling and doesnt retain cold, 4 to 6hrs after power off, freezer chamber is almost lukewarm!
thus i decided not to go near any LG fridge or freezer again
Haier Thermocool has good offerings in their recent chest freezers. They boast keeping foods frozen for up to 72 hrs after power failure. They have fairly good insulation and I've test driven 12hrs power-off with good temperature retention results, as long as the foods are frozen before power outage. Of course, freezer isn't frost-free type.

Couple ties the knot before 40 naked guests (+18 photos)

Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, a couple made the decision to try a maverick methodology with their family and friends. They decided to get married naked.

The newly wedded British couple, 59-year-old Nigel Seymour and his wife, Rachel tied the knot before a total of forty naked people. They also adhered to the dress code of the event.
According to reports, the couple met at a nudist convention where they became acquainted before getting engaged six months into the relationship. Seymour proposed to his now-wife before 400 naked strangers while on a trip.

The holiday was organized by British Naturism– a society where people who prefer to live the entirety of their lives naked.

Rachel, a care assistant, and her husband Nigel decided they would be married while naked, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Rachel said: “Our naked wedding made perfect sense; as it meant I didn’t have to spend £1,000 on a wedding dress.

“Getting married in the buff with your friends and family is still just as magical an experience.

“It felt really freeing.

“We met in the buff, Nigel proposed in the buff and we had a ceremony naked. It closed the chapter.”

Rachel joked that all guests had to bring to her “fun” naked wedding was a towel and sun cream.

Nigel added: “The reaction we’ve had from friends and family who did not attend the blessing was very much, ‘That’s not for us but you carry on and let us know how you get on’.

“But we loved every minute of it.”

The couple had asked around to find an officiator who would conduct the ceremony naked.

The person they found was not a naturist but agreed to go nude for the occasion.

After their wedding, the couple set off for a naked honeymoon in the world’s largest naturist village in France.

Despite this, GIFMIS however is the greater devil and riddled with worse lie.

I kept quiet because I didn't want to get into what looks like a political argument on a solar forum. The problem with Nigeria is that everyone expects everyone else to change while we continue to do our own thing. A bribe-guzzling policeman want a good leader. The 419 guys complain about Buhari or Jonathan or whoever is in power. The student who cheats in his school exams joins protest against a minister who does not have NYSC discharge certificate. The businessmen who started selling N450 glove for N5000 because of corona is complaining about Gbajabiamila buying G-Wagon for his wife. The idiotic pot-bellied smelling lecturer sleeping with female students young enough to be his grand daughters in order to pass them will call himself a socialist and go on strike because of IPPIS.

Our leaders are aggregates of us. They will never be better than the average of us. Even if we get a conscientious leader, the crooks who will surround him and work with him will destroy his efforts. Leadership is important, but with a followership that is not prepared to play its part, we are going nowhere. It is like having a good driver but with a bus full of incorrigible passengers who are distracting him, taunting him, banging things in the car and even wrestling the steering and the gear with him. The bus will eventually end up in the bush.

We all need to play our parts. Until we do so, we will keep complaining about how bad the country is. As we lay our bed, so shall we lie on it.
I think one thing we need to look at is the fact that humans are intrinsically or naturally wicked. That's not to say that 100% of us all are. But rules when implemented straightens out the wicked citizens while protecting the good citizens, eventually aiming towards an egalitarian society.

Our outlook to life is a combination of innate leanings and environmental moulding. A child who is born to parents that value good name above acquiring illegal riches will train their wards along that line. By the time the child gets into the larger society, he is no longer under the direct tutelage of the parents and the values that he has been taught is what is expected to guide his choices going forward. Now that is where the type of values in the society comes in. If the society he finds himself is one with negative value systems, his previous training will face much challenge and depending on his resilience, he may or may not buckle under societal pressure. That is why you find Nigerians doing fine overseas and even our evil politicians get to foreign nations and behave like sane humans observing social etiquette like joining queues but the get back to Nigeria and start oppressing citizena, cutting queues and balding sirens all over like the mad men they are. In Nigeria, merit is looked down upon and a sincere, honest and upright individual is seen as a weakling and a mumu. There's no way a society can grow from such warped mindset.

The bucks eventually fall on the leaders. Reformation is better achieved from up down. If a leader leads by example, the followership will likely follow suit. If laws are made and implemented against bad deeds, even the most difficult citizen with a twisted outlook to life will face a force majeure of having to comply with acting good or he risks being taken out of circulation (imprisoned). During OBJ's tenure, he made a statement of not exempting his own kith (Afolabi) from punishment for wrongdoing, Nigerians got the message. Then he instructed the police to "shoot on sight" any OPC member that tries to endanger the peace in South West. If he didn't do that then, the outfit would have gone the way of BH instead of the noble position they occupy today. What we have nowadays is the presidency looking away from the obvious truth about farmers-herders clash, protecting one against the other. OBJ slammed his gavel on the then police chief and every other state police commissioners and by extension the street cops begun acting right. But the moment he left, the rot has again taken root with the police chiefs giving a daily earning target to their boys in check points because their station needs to buy a large screen TV for the Abuja police chief or donate to the wedding of the son of the IGP.

If the leaders get it right, the followership will naturally fall into line. If the leaders stop seeing their office as a means to enrich themselves at the expense of the masses, the civil servant will not see reason to acquire ill-gotten wealth in order to live above board. If government make anti-trust rules against hoarding, people will not sell 50 naira gloves for 5000 naira. But in order not to be challenged/questioned by the masses, the government/leaders themselves must first be seen to live by examples. That is Gbajabiamila not buying g-wagon when he could have done well with something more reasonable, the lawmakers not insisting on Japanese made Toyota when they could have gone for Innoson vehicles, the president upgrading and equiping Nigerian hospitals rather than flying out at a common headache. The list is endless.

Failed leadership originally brings terrible followership. Then the resultant rotten society breeds more sickos that eventually find their way into leadership and the gorge gets deeper. Only a purposeful and sane leadership can stop the rot in its track and reverse the trend.

adrusa:
We all need to play our parts. Until we do so, we will keep complaining about how bad the country is. As we lay our bed, so shall we lie on it.
Currently in the news is the EFCC official that turned down 100 million naira bribe from some Chinese dudes. You will be sick from the comments of Nigerians. He was called names for rejecting the money saying he has turned down a lifetime opportunity.

He was "playing his part", but I dare to tell you that doing that in Nigeria as it is currently structured, he is simply throwing blows to empty space. This is because a Nigerian politician in his shoes offered such bribe will collect the money and nothing will happen. That is why some Nigerians find justification in calling him mumu for rejecting the bribe money.

adrusa:
Even if we get a conscientious leader, the crooks who will surround him and work with him will destroy his efforts. Leadership is important, but with a followership that is not prepared to play its part, we are going nowhere. Nigerian president is one of the most powerful in the world. If surrounded by crooks, all he has to do us drop the useless baggage and recruit people with like minds, people with the same vision as his to work with him and drive the country forward.

A foolish leader is one who sabotages his own vision by pandering up to saboteurs, but a wise one chooses his company wisely and leads on to great achievement.

I would like to ask a question can one mix lifepo4 (lithium) and lead acid batteries together, either by series or parallel?
Nope.

Lead acid batteries require more stringent charging conditions that need to be met on daily basis, like on a regular dose. LFP can tolerate missed doses of the required conditions for a few days and still be forgiving.

12v LFP for instance require a CC-CV of 14.4v. Lead batteries on the other hand require charging voltages that range between 13.8v to 14.2v depending on the equalisation or float voltages.

The best you can do to use the two however is if you use a changeover switch that switches the charging panel voltages from one to the other once charging is full.

If the switch over is to be in-between your CC and battery, then you may get by using a CC that will not burn out with battery terminal disconnection under ongoing solar input. On the other hand, you can have two CCs if you can afford it - one is connected to the LFP and the other to the lead battery pack. So you only switch solar inputs from one CC to the other.

Though felicity has fairly good reputation in other products, but this is a fresh foray into lithium and with the inconsistencies that occassionaly trail solar products even with felicity in some instance, I won't be surprised if Nigerians have ventured into declaring false capacity on generic lithium batteries but slapping felicity tab on it.

Why I drowned my 18 months old baby in a bucket of water – Suspect
A lady who confessed to have drowned her one-year and six months old baby inside a bucket of water in her apartment in Gowon Estate area of Lagos has been arrested by the Police.

Surprisingly, the suspect, Funmilola Adisa, 22, did not express regret for her action.

Rather she boldly admitted to have killed her baby, because “she deprived me of realising my dream of becoming a lawyer”.

During interrogation, Adisa said: “I drowned my baby inside a bucket filled with water on Monday.

“Thereafter, I reported myself at the Gowon Estate Police Division.

“The police did not come immediately but when they did, they found the dead baby inside the bucket.

“I was impregnated by a boy who attended same JAMB lesson with me.

“But he rejected the pregnancy.

“I wanted to abort the pregnancy but my father said no.

“I passed my JAMB and was offered admission to study Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, but I had to defer the admission because of the baby.

“I wanted to take her to the orphanage home at first when it became difficult to take care of her.

“I live with my sister who has no job and I am also not working.

“I felt there was no use keeping her since I could not take care of her.

“I killed her because I was frustrated, but most importantly, because she stood in the way of actualising my dream of becoming a lawyer.”

From Gowon Estate Division, Funmilayo was taken to the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja, from where the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, directed that she should be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba.

Her elder sister, who did not want her name mentioned, said she was too shocked to believe that her younger sister could commit such act.

She said: “I suspect she is gradually developing mental problem.

“Our mother had same mental problem before she died.

“We live in the same apartment but have our separate bedrooms.

“I didn’t know when she drowned the baby, until the Police arrived.”

Police sources hinted that medical checks would be conducted on the suspect to know her mental state.

“But that will not stop her from facing the consequence of her action,” police sources said.

When connecting two batteries together 12v parallel connection is usually better than 24v series connection.
The inherent power in two batteries either connected in series or parallel is the same.

It's your system requirements that will determine if you need a working 12v or 24v.

Does your contact have good new LFP cells for sale Or do you know any other person that does?
Claims they are all new prismatic LFPs 3.2v/105ah. Few weeks ago he said he was hoping to clear some containers he has at the ports after Corona wahala. Lockdown has slowed business down as he couldn't ship to customers. I haven't gotten update from him for sometime now.

NB: The quotations he gave was pre-lockdown, pre-naira/dollar fight.

25kg for 18k total shipping sounds like a good deal then, it would have cost more with my alternate option or do you mean the 18k was customs fee?
Oh, my bad. Customs fees I meant. That's aside shipping.
