acorntree:It depends on your rating too. If your history shows that you have been consistent with appraisals of items that are expensive, they wouldn't consider that you will now open fake dispute on items that are cheap when they aren't delivered. Your dispute will not be contested. I have opened several disputes this month's on items that are all below 10 dollars and 4 out of 5 have been approved. In my history, I have bought items of several hundred dollars without hitches. Plus they also know that this COVID problem is also responsible for upsurge in disputes, only that some may now want to exploit that opportunity to file fake disputes. |
Mrford:If you are still within the purchase protection period you can temper justice with mercy and cancel the dispute BUT make sure you request another 30 days or so extension of purchase protection to be approved by the seller. In fact tell him that he should approve the extension of the purchase protection first, after which you will cancel dispute. You will see the speed at which he will approve it. But if you have like one day left for PP expiry and you take pity on him and cancel dispute thinking that he will extend protection, chances are high that he will not. If on the other hand, purchase protection HAS RAN OUT, DON'T CANCEL o! The moment you cancel, you may not be able to open a new dispute especially if you've disputed twice prior. And that's the last you will hear from that seller. No matter how nice they sound or how nice their ratings may appear, it's better you always put yourself in a position of advantage to the seller cos the moment positions are reversed, the seller will not respond to your messages again. |
toksade203:Woah! NIPOST delivery has resumed? What's the location of delivery? Lagos, Ogun state? |
Amocee:You follow the two info. The delivery date (purchase protection) becomes more vital when it is ending and your item seems evasive. Amocee:Your zip code matters. If it's put as part of the address, the post office knows best to deliver it to the functional post office that is nearest the destination address, strenghtened more/made easier by the presence of the zip code. When all effort appears fruitless, your phone number is what the postmaster relies on as last effort to deliver the parcel. Is your phone number included in the delivery address? |
Benedict44:Just, better file dispute and collect your money back. If eventually it gets delivered, then you can discuss with the seller on how to give back his money. As it is now, I assume most items that fall in that category actually reached the country, but has either: 1. Been returned to the seller when covid/country (Nigeria) lockdown precludes final delivery. 2. Missed in transit within the country when logistics have been messed up or hit hard due to covid induced zero NIPOST activity. 3. Gets to the port but maybe 9ja factor of some customs bad eggs don share am take am go haus. |
Gmajor:For over one month now, I don open dispute tire. Tracking some items showed arrival in Nigeria since a month ago but I no see am. So I just assume that maybe they all got stuck with customs. That doesn't stop me from claiming my money for goods not delivered though so I've had a couple of funds refunded back to me. But I really need to be sure people have been receiving items now that lockdown has been relaxed significantly nationwide. Anyone? |
JESSE2:Apparently your order is still "within the period of purchase protection", so it is assumed that the only reasons your dissatisfaction/dispute may be valid is if you suspect and are able to prove that the buyer did one of the following: 1. Did not ship your order but claimed to do and issued you a misleading tracking number 2. Gave you an invalid tracking number 3. The item was shipped to a wrong address (as evidenced either by the tracking info or the shipping info provided to you by the seller) According to the attached screenshot, your reason for dispute is that "purchase protection is running out" which isn't true, hence why your claim is considered invalid. The only times such claim as "purchase protection is running out" is considered valid are when the purchase protection has actually ran out and within 15 days of it. If you took no action within that 15 days that the protection has ran out, it is deemed that you are satisfied and the funds will be released to the seller. In this instance, what you can do is wait for the parcel to arrive. If you feel you need more time, you can message the seller to "extend the protection" by as much as 60 days. If you have no reasons to request extension, then you should closely monitor the time the purchase protection ends so that the moment it does and your parcel is yet undelivered, then boom, file your trade dispute! Please next time, try to blot out in part, sensitive info about your parcels (like tracking number, order number, delivery address et Al) from screenshots before uploading online. Except absolutely necessary to leave such or requested for by the person willing to help you with inquiries, most other info that are not that sensitive usually suffice for most people to help you with answers. By the way, anyone here has any idea if delivery of items on AE to Nigeria has resumed intra-covid or post-covid? Or has post office (not DHL or UPS o) delivered AE items to anyone this month? |
babaegun:Well, I'll take option 1. The distance from terminals pack to the CC appears to be the same in both packs. Whereas for the other options, there is some difference in the distance from pack to the CC which will invariably impact on the charging current each pack is exposed to (notwithstanding the use of busbars in option 3), the charging expectedly being less in the pack with the longer wires (distance). |

Janyves:@bolded: As in the 10 watts is consumption at max speed or consumption at minimum speed? |
Oshomo12:Lol. |
justcallmenuel:Is this Felicity CC fan-cooled or heat sink cooled? And the 10 watts solar fan, is the 10 watts max consumption at max speed or consumption at minimum speed? |
We welcome 'em with open arms. Competition is good. More FDIs. The more the merrier. They sha should not turn the chameleonic ways of Econet wireless to Econet Nigeria to Airtel, and 9mobile. |
Maybe Marley and the judge look alike. The pilot must have mistook one for the other, I think. |
Lol. This guy is funny. Just see another angle to his comedy skit. Is that girl in the skit also a comedian cos I've not heard of her before now. |
Justin288:Baba, I give you "two hands up for one person". This is impressive and worthy of emulation. How do you source your 1/8/6/5/0s? |
adrusa:@bolded Painfully, I discovered I lost around 46 pieces of 1/8/6/5/0s yesterday. A 12v pack that I had carelessly left lying around unused for like 2 months now, didn't know the charging unit shorted somewhere along the circuit causing massive parasitic drain. This drained most of the batteries to 1.7v (irrecoverable). I could salvage only two pieces with their voltages drained to around 2.5v. E pain me eh. |
earthrealm: ![]() Came across this when I hunted for SCC then.
|
ojeysky:Sorry I didn't get the price? |
ojeysky:Any spare 24v LFP charger for sale? Someone that just procured a 24v pack might be interested though not sure yet. |
spartacus11:A 14.8v charging voltage exceeds the recommended 14.2v max for 12v LFP. That smart charger may not be appropriate. 4 amps charging current however is not too much. In fact LFP can tolerate as much as 1C charging, that is a 2000mah Li-on can tolerate that much charging current, ditto 100 amp LFP as long as the installed BMS tolerates it. |
essegis:I think it's still the use of busbars that ease things. GeorgeD1, Omolyunade, earthrealm et al with massive systems, how does one do it @ bolded? |
babaegun:I think the exciting thing about this is that lithium DIY will likely take the centrestage such that people will just source for premium cells, source for premium BMSes that provide monitoring capabilities like we currently do with charge controllers, then tinker with configurations like you will with SLA batteries. For Felicity to still be stammering about "researching" into that is disappointing. Even Bluetooth & WiFi enabled BMSes are becoming widely available that their lithium batteries by now should be communicating with their premium brands of inverters. But do they even have such capabilities in their charge controllers yet sef? |
[img][/img] acunon:Please since you have the item accessible, could you help confirm if it really has Bluetooth? Thanks.

spartacus11:https://mpoweruk.com/lithiumS.htm I don't know if I'll be banned for this link. But it's the link to those screenshots I uploaded above. |
spartacus11:I didn't know @bolded. That's interesting. Maybe I'll consider it a way around some items that have prohibitive shipping costs on AE. Regular Jumia products gets delivered to me in about 5 days. How long does it take from placing order to delivery at doorstep on Jumia global? spartacus11:My principle has been to have a premium brand and then good unknown brands as backup in the event of failure of the latter. Also the unknown brands are very good platforms for experimenting DIY for me. |
spartacus11:

spartacus11:I think you should be careful with getting the inverter via Jumia Global. Someone here has posted before of an inverter he got via Jumia global that was advertised as Pure some wave but turned out to be modified wave. Some of those Jumia global also source the products on sites like AliExpress, so if not for the Corona problem that has slowed down things, I'll have suggested you place the order directly on AE yourself. I have seen this inverter on AE, I'll see if I can retrieve the link and post it for you. |
spartacus11:Is that AliExpress page? |
Galactico4ever:This is reassuring. I hope it works. Haba! I won't like being faced with an unsolicited declaration every time I visit my own profile. It's rather unfair how this is FORCED on forumites. I even clicked on that wrong tab half asleep and woke up to see that unsolicited declaration on my profile. If the mods don't want Islam to be seen as a religion of subtle or barefaced coercion, then that condition needs to be reviewed. But until then it will be seen as the name it's called: "Ìmòle" in Yoruba (meaning religion by force in English). |
How do I expunge this from the profile? Please help! https://www.nairaland.com/5920786/how-remove-profile
