chris81964:Even me I'm excited from here where I am simply watching as it unfolds thru the screen. Few days ago, I told someone that madness and foolishness is someone having money and sprawl of residence like Tinubu has and still using diesel generator as the main source of power, Haba! |
Entanglement:See ehn, I'm not new to AE purchases and I'm clearly not breaking a single sweat over these delays because it is sure I'll get my refunds if things go south. I just checked for the first time in like 14 days to see the progress and noticed the unusual activity. I believe posting this discovery on this thread to inform the small community isn't a bad idea. If someone on 5 days clearing is getting agitated and sees mine on 10 days, he'll know that his is not the worst and once I follow up with good news, he also will know that there is hope. So don't think I don't know why is going on. Yesterday I just won a dispute that I opened last week. Item has been with NIPOST (Accepted by local delivery company) for over 40 days and nearing purchase protection expiry in 20 days. Neither did I worry, nor did I break a sweat. So this isn't the first time I'm dealing with NIPOST ọ̀gá. Clearly you're the one that is worried and your unguarded response is simply a way to vent the frustration on us, which as a form of defence mechanism is a natural reaction. Where you got it wrong is that you should have tried as much as possible not to vent it out because among the recipients of your anger, there are people that may even have bigger challenges than you think you have, so what do you want them to do, bring out a knife and start slashing peeps for asking questions? Transference is an entanglement we should try to avoid. Managing to help others even when you clearly have your own problems to deal with is a big sign of maturity and emotional intelligence. I think we should all try to inculcate this. |
Wàhálà for who get "custom clearing" galore. This stage used to be the least of my worries, well except if it's phones or other mobile gadgets, but I just opened the tracker to follow up now and was shocked to see items having 8 days into customs clearing, something that used to be 2 days or 3 days. Did I miss the memo? When did this nonsense start?

Assuming that the current virtual card problems will not affect goMoney, do they still stick to the 100usd monthly limit or ńa mouth dem just dey make? Anyone with responses will be appreciated. |
Equation89: NnamdiN:Giving you this for free. Visit this nairaland thread to learn it all by yourself. https://www.nairaland.com/390522/solar-energy-complement-fta/1205#114787555 |
Ykc2:Agreed that to run very large factories like Dangote cement, there will still be dependance on fossil fuel. But madness and foolishness is having money like Tinubu has and still running diesel generator to power my home. You can power basic home appliances comfortably with solar, all you need is the desire and of course the money and still manage to connect one or two neighbours to use basic lightings in their own apartment. Four deep freezers, refridgerator, sitting room appliances, automated sliding gate opener, water fountain feature, kitchen appliances etc are just a few of appliances powered by solar in my home. And I don't have a single Nepa wire into the home. See this link to a hotel that is about to be powered by solar. https://www.nairaland.com/390522/solar-energy-complement-fta/1205#114787555 |

dollarnaira:I'm not even about the vents, for their being patent was the reason I didnt worry about the nylons in the first place. Leaving the nylon on effectively blocks exposure of the metal housing to air current, which is needed to take away heat via convection in addition to the forced cooling by the fans. |
tonididdy:I agree. But have it in mind that the NGN1980 item you bought already has the shipping added to the cost price. It's just that the same item that you bought NGN2078 means you bought it at a costlier price (also the shipping fee may have been added to the cost price). I only have the luxury of price competition when shopping on AE if I'm not in a hurry to buy the stuff. In such situations I take my time to go thru the different offers, something which might take me days as I add the same item type (but from different buyers) into my cart, compare the prices and delete until I get the lowest price around. Meanwhile I also go thru the reviews to know I ain't about to buy a dud. On the contrary, in few instances that I'm in a rush, I just click the cheapest of the items that show up with search on a single screen of my device. It is only after I have checked out that other cheaper offers of the same item will be displayed under the "you may also like" section. It can be quite annoying, but I knew well before purchase that my being in a hurry may cost me that. So no wahala. Have you ever haggled with AE sellers before? When I have plenty of time usually spanning days (you know the delays with sellers replying message on AE), I usually haggle prices with the cheapest offers out of many on the same item and most times the sellers still agree to give me 1usd or 2usd discount before I buy .burner44:Thanks. I've been able to do it, in-app. |
Rinoxy:I think it's better you get the true European hisense, I think graceglory can provide that. I got a brand new tear rubber 65" hisense smart but it's clearly fake one, or to put it mildly, Nigerian Hisense. No thanks to Fouani. Three years down the line, I'm already battling with like 6 horizontal lines across the screen. Sadly, it has passed warranty period before the problem came up. I can't even find anyone willing to buy it off of me. At least I for add small money buy a replacement from Grace glory. I guess I will just keep using it until I can give it out as well. I used a brand new 32" LG LCD for close to 12 years before I gave it out 4 years ago. The beneficiary is still rocking it like mad as at today, zero issues. At least na for 9ja I buy that one too. I'm just mad at this Hisense TV from Fouani. NB: I'm not bashing the Fouani brand here, please don't get me wrong. A friend and I both picked that TV same time but his own is still without issues. Although I'm suspecting either factory issue or dust may be implicated in the issues with mine, and the latter can be taken care of. But I have long ago lost interest in the TV and not ready to go through that stress. I just feel I could have gotten better spec'ed TV with the same money if I had bought from Graceglory when I picked the hisense. |
orikzz:Thank you so much for this. You're a lifesaver. I just did that now and it's been sent to my mail. I'm glad I visited this thread this afternoon. |
tonididdy:Even if "free shipping" is written against it, it is not actually free. The seller has already added the shipping fee to the main cost. For instance, two sellers selling the same item. One costs 2 usd with 1 usd shipping. But then you see the other seller that lists his as costing 3.02usd but with free shipping written against it. If you go for the second seller because he wrote free shipping, you have already lost 0.02 usd which is the difference from the first seller. In certain instances like you suggested, what I think may be smarter is this: some items have free shipping but by the time you start clicking to increase the quantity you intend to buy, the shipping is no longer free, instead it becomes prohibitively high sef. So what I do is to keep buying it in single quantity until a time I hit the number of quantities I want. I buy, re-add to cart immediately and buy until I have bought the quantity I want. Let the seller do the wàhálà of putting all of them in one bag. |
burner44:Your point is quite valid. I put that in mind too. Most of the stuffs I purchased were expensive stuffs that were all shipped with speed NG....R number. The shops are high end and most of the items have shipped out already (less than 12hrs after payment). As my items have escaped NIPOST nonsense, the only prayer left now ńa make the ship no capsize ![]() orikzz:Their statement said that customers should print out their statement of account and have it handy. I guess it's for such eventualities. The problem be say me I no even know how I go print the statement cos the option is not there on their app. So I'm hoping that the AE deliveries will be hitch free. |
burner44:The highest I purchased from them as at my last shoring was 600 naira. I've shored up a lot when it was 550 naira. I opened that account as a means to shore up my naira in dollars and to avoid the aboki stress associated with domiciliary account funding with other walk-in banks. As at yesterday, I've withdrawn more than 90 percent of the funds at 607 naira, so I clearly made gains. Problem now is I have to buy new hard for ex from Aboki at the current black market and do the walk-in Wàhálà. I still have like 80usd left on the barter card in case I see something of interest to purchase before the 12am deadline tomorrow. Although I had to unwillingly do some purchaces from my cart in the process of depleting the funds. There is no banks that do above 200usd, so I just had to check out more than 500 usd on AliExpress. So long barter. It was nice doing business with you, although I strongly believe you were guilty of the money laundering allegations. jboixxx:I later heared they were accused of money laundering. Kenyan government froze about 27 million usd in their account. |
mctfopt:What is wrong with me? This easily perceptible thing/reasons did not cross my mind. I don't even know why I've left the nylons on some of mine for more than 2 years now. Mad with myself .Thanks for this. |
chris81964:This is a massive stuff. Well done. Industrial elevators sustain on 380v to 400 vac rather than 240v. I'm thinking to get one installed in my home. Most home elevators I've seen from researches also need up to 380v usually. I also don't see those things like the fountain take so much power. 60watts 12v DC motor home powers my 3-tier fountain. Three motors are timed to cycle 8hrly daily. The one you have there is a bigger water feature and should not get more than 120 to 150 watts consumption. Please keep us updated. |
Fire on the mountain, guys. What do we do now? My fear is even more of getting back my funds complete and unmessed with from these guys than the fact that they're stopping their services. They have already given that caveat in the mail viz: "if you notice an incorrect card balance, please contact us". They will cheat some people (or even everyone sef) in the process of reverting their funds to naira. And then run. This may be another form of MMM at last. I have till 17th (2 days) from now. I will commence my own conversion myself from daybreak. I won't wait for them to convert for me. I just hope they won't cheat me Shit!!!!

So it seems GTB's shikini sanity is affecting some other ones. Gomoney has declared an upward review.

Kingozymandias:I think the people should in addition slaughter pigs, then dip the bullets (for local guns ó) and also the pegs and sticks that they intend to use to fight in pig's blood. Those Fulani devils are usually more cautious when they know that pig's blood (or anything pig for that matter) is awaiting them. Then those ones that are caught or incapacitated should be fed pig's blood or pork meat before they are handed over to the authorities (if they are lucky enough not to be taken care of secretly). Those that die in battle should be buried with pork meat beside them in their graves. |
If they are for business trips, then Nigerians deserve to see the results of their money being spent by Buhari. But if it has tí do with medical checks-up veiled as business trips, Hmmm. Who is Buhari's vice again? Okay, Osinbajo. So maybe Yar'Adua history should not repeat itself or should it? All I know is that this time around, no Nigerian, I repeat no Nigerian will pray and fast for God to heal somebody. In fact, strenght no even dey to fast sef. And fortunately, the prayer of the righteous availeth much, which may be the reason why God decided to listen to the prayers of Nigerians at that time even though they prayed amiss. But He must have given Nigerians the desire of their heart though it wasn't His own desire for them, so that they may learn the hard way like the Isrealites did when they asked God to get them a human king as they were tired of His (God's) own rule. |
eteebanky1:I think you should not be too expectant with this long delay at NIPOST. Just give it a 50-50 chance in other to avoid throbbing headaches. I have two items that are stuck with NIPOST too. One is Speedaf NG....E and the other LP.... (probably also later re-assigned NG.....E. Me I have already zeroed my mind about receiving them and only waiting for 65 days or 70 days to clock and open dispute for refund. I don't think I need to wait for the 75 days when tracking refuses to change/update for more than a month.

Radiography, I believe you intend to write. Cos radiology is the preclude of Medical doctors who already have an MBBS. But radiography is non-medical doctors. Just go for nursing abeg. You have two options viz: Basic nursing (3 years) and BSc nursing (5 years). The former is more clinically oriented and more challenging than the latter and of course I prefer it. After your three years/five years depending on your choice, in fact while you are in your final year, sit for IELTS and the year you finish school, sit for your foreign exams and japa to the UK. In short, Nursing is a surer way to japa to UK and Australia, surer than radiography. |
Terrible and sad. If not for the fact that the army will try to stop the villagers from defending themselves (Benue people can relate), it would have been great if the villagers procure for themselves small arms and ammunitions and set traps for the bandits. They can pretend that they've all left the village then the able bodied men amongst them lay ambush and see who will try to come and take over the village. Sadly, the last time some villagers in benue defended themselves against thr fulani herdsmen, the military went on a house to house search to disarm them promising that they will be protected and do not need to take the laws into their own hands. Less than two hours after the soldiers' departure, the Fulanis came back for the revenge (possibly after having been tipped off by the military guys that they have been disarmed and can now go in for the kill) There is a viral video of a shooting in a church in the US where the church members brought out their piece to defend themselves against the lone shooter. Though he was taken down, he unfortunately killed one parishioner and severely wounded one before he died. But a point has been made: go to your services with your means of physical defence so that those like the idots who came to the church in owó will not go scot free. |

jboixxx:Your assumption seems right, because I had two unregistered speedaf last month that both got the Somolu update and that was 5 days after the "arrived NIPOST" update. I have been using those two updates to follow up the new one in the screenshot but I noticed that it got stuck at "arrived NIPOST" for the past 16 days now without updating to "Somolu". That's why I assumed that it's probably lost in transit. That LP..... O tracking number is totally under NIPOST purview, so I am not bothering myself too much expecting it to be delivered.

dustmalik:"Parcels" app. It's in the play store.

SUXCEE:It seems it's only the ones that got to NIPOST-Somolu that will eventually get delivered. The ones stuck at NIPOST are probably lost in transit. I currently have two orders stuk at NIPOST for the past month. The ones that moved ahead to NIPOST-Somolu got delivered. |
Iykopee:Mine is one month and counting.

Hehehehe. This man deserves to win the AMVCA award as the best comedian content creator, not Sabinus. The other time, the content was that he has made Nigeria safer and more economically viable than he met it. Now it is that the country is safer for diasporeans to invest. Abeg, next AMVCA best content creator for comedy should be reserved for Buhari. |

Feshizzy:You may both be right with your guesses. From my experience with the kind of inverter odimbannamdi sells, the switch is usually hooked to the metal housing of the inverter rather than to the board. Two wires then go to the board via a JST plug. So the problem may be at a point of soldering of one of the polarity wires, it can also be the metal parts inside the switch. To repair it or apply for refund depends on the op. And @dollarnaira had reservations about your approach especially addressing him. I believe you may have responded to the post with your own suggestion without even referring to @dollarnaira at all, that is if you don't approve of his own response. There is no way someone with ample knowledge of solar on this forum will be ignorant/have zero knowledge like you maintained. @ odimbannamdi, is the inverter 24v with ample capacity to handle a deep freezer, I might just pick it up. I may not be needing the metal case for the application intended for which means I will eventually cut open the stuff and bring out the organs to DIY an all-in-one hybrid system for a remote site. |

how do I calculate what I need to power everything in my house?
