HeadofNairaland: Thanks for the input. Not to appear gropping at semantics, the keyword there is "burn" which is quite different from boil or "heat" which was used in the snapshot, the latter two being able to take place as incomplete process in the absence of oxygen. Pressure cookers expel most of the air yet the substance still cooks, but not aflame. Only a few substances are effectively incendiary enough in the absence of oxygen and I don't think wood is one of them. That is why wood fire as a class two cat can be extinguished by a fire extinguisher because it suffocates the wood of air whereas a Lithium ion (LiNiCd) fire ńa werey fire classified as class four, not easily countered by your common extinguisher. Heating in the absence of air I believe deprives the end product of Oxygen species as part of the compound which in turn makes it highly reactive (i.e hungry for an element to combine with to stabilise itself). This of course stands to reason because the "activated charcoal" end product is used in various applications the one I'm well used to, as a medical personell, being to detoxify the stomach contents when poisoning is suspected. The charcoal hungrily binds to any elements or chemicals it meets in the stomach in such instance. On the other hand, if ithe wood were aflame - a process clearly requiring air - then the end product will be quite different from that of heating it in a vaccum. Again this is me just pulling it out of my basic knowledge residue (yet to sit down and research it), therefore I may still be incorrect, but I think my basic knowledge says otherwise. 5 Likes

See, I think you're trying to pass information across, but the way you are going about it is very nondescript. You don't even make effort to make detailed and convincing explanation and in easy to follow patterns. The way you jump from one discussion to another makes your depositions too abstract, uninteresting and non-catchy reads. Trouble sleep jeje, yànga wan wake am. Guys get along with living together or as neighbours quite better than ladies do. Jealousy and badu belle is virtually absent, well until such time a lady comes into the mix. And if occasionally some misunderstanding arises, they usually sort issues out easier than ladies will. Women are unarguably a necessity for any society. And of course the trouble that follows the entrance of a woman into a place of apparent peace has been occurring for ages. Even though the same woman then that started the war then becomes the object all the warring parties look up to to bring back the peace or keep the fragile one that is forged. The garden of Eden was a beauty to reside and became much more beautiful when eve came along. But the peace and rest was not to last as she became the conduit for the serpent to get in. Greece had enjoyed peace and tranquility and the arrival of Helen of Troy into the picture, especially with her beauty brought further respect to the city and her people. But war soon broke out because of her. What matters most is the understanding that they fulfil their tenancy contract and agreement with the owner. This includes prompt payment of their rent when it is due and careful usage of the property (no destructions or misuse). So I wonder why the CBN will be worried about transactions with Benin Republic which is dominated by foodstuff, automobiles and textiles more that trade across the Northern borders which is dominated by weapons, drugs, organs and human trafficking? In fact, the CC (if it is one with good protection) will not output power from the 3s to charge the batteries once it has already registered the 24v battery source in its system. Lest I forgot, I noticed I have gotten away with using more than 20usd on StanbicIBTC card within the past 4 days. The last single purchase I made today was 20.06usd (which is even more than 20usd) after an initial 18 usd cumulative over the past 3 days. Is anyone aware if Stanbic's is capped at a monthly limit higher than most other popular banks? |

See the response I got.The useless dude gave me a tracking number of an item that has been shipped out since February. February kwa?! And na May we dey already. Shey hìn own calender for Shanghai never reach March bah? . I've not even done more detailed tracking yet to know the destination country or recipient of the tracking number the guy dashed me. But I won't be surprised if the original owner of the tracking number is someone in the Philippines or someone in Ukraine or Russia. Lol. Abeg person wey get small time help me do the detective work on that. So I think I'm gonna chat him up and see how he explains himself. The results will be either of a few things: He refuses to respond to my message until such time I decide to open trade dispute based on his non-response and the other evidences. Thank God that AE chat now has a "last seen" info/indicator in their messages. He responds to my message and apologise for the mix up telling me that it will be fixed to a new tracking number in a few days. He may then give me another recent tracking number that is meant for another buyer in Nigeria, like you mentioned. He may ask me to pay/add a little extra to the original money so that he will be able to ship the item properly. He may apologise and ask me to open dispute and that he will be ready to accept the dispute without arguments. Whichever way he chooses and as long as it ends with me not getting the item, i go vex! I'm ready to damn him with my review and also troll his shop (the question and answer section) with damming comments so that every potential buyer will pick race the moment they see those comments staring them in the face.  1 Like

ceaser: And..... (drumroll) he shipped! I'm yet to verify the tracking number because shipping was few hours ago and the number may not have entered the system yet. So let's give another 4 to 5 days to verify the "DHL tracking number" I'm excited. What if I'm lucky. Or maybe the guy go vez send empty plastic case . Because even 4k5 which is the price of the item may not even be adequate to ship such an item using DHL in the first instant.

Consensus loading. The game all along. The North were playing a game of division by encouraging more people from the SW and SE to come out. Doing that will mean that the voting strenght of the south is wholly decimated while the North gives backing to a consensus candidate not necessarily from the APC but a norther, especially Fulani, from any party. Talking about Atiku. Mind you that another card is still in the pack for the North to pull out, that is the pending court case of Buhari versus Atiku 2019 election. It will bid well for the south to play along, but have a plan B of pulling a out a trump card of consensus at the late hour. Someone that the whole southern votes will go to and defeat Atiku who is a Fulani that will likely be given PDP ticket, something that the PDP should have given to a South Easterner considering the support they've had from them all along that even APC was unable to penetrate the area. I forsee most APC candidates including present governors and ministers coming out on APC platform stepping down not for Tinubu, but for Osinbajo, considering that wittling down the godfatherism of BAT is what they are all after. And while Tinubu would have been a good candidate nothwithstanding, his deteriorating health, capacity and strenght of late is not what Nigerians will cherish, not after they just survived the heinous years under Buhari's frequent hospital travels on taxpayers' money and the attendant highjack of leadership by some useless cabal that daily and constantly plunge Nigerians into continuing hardship and squalor. 1 Like |

While I'll advice him to keep utilizing the opportunities it brings, he should avoid the demerits that accompany it - things like baby mamas, undue and unreasonable liberalism that permeates the web space, things like s3xual orientation that are completely against the traditional African morals and upbringing. I was bored and going thru the AE app when I bumped into this "too sweet" deal. . 8k less than other sellers' price and the icing on top is thaf it is DHL delivery!Of course, a voice inside me said, "Awoof dey purge belle o", but I still no send. So I thought, pff, abeg lemme order it jàre. And I did. After all it is still within the 20usd useless monthly allocation, so payment is hassle free using Gomoney. Of course there were red flags viz: no reviews yet and the seller is freshly registered. But I had been lucky in two previous gambles like this where the item was delivered while in many others that turned out as scammers, I was always able to get back my full refund after dispute. Of course a few sellers cancel the order probably after they check my profile and realize say diswan no be JJC o. Yet some refrain from shipping the item and allow the countdown to elapse after which the system automatically closes the order nd refunds my money. But new or naive users on AE may not be too lucky. I follow such sellers like the back of their head, as in I literarily stalk them on AE . I strictly monitor the "days before shipping" countdown for any sign of impending default and if they still try enough to indicate that they've shipped the item, I scrutinize the tracking number like say I dey examine fake naira note and if it still passes that test, I monitor the progress of logistics (make God no allow NIPOST inefficiency catch me for this stage). Once it becomes apparent that logistics is not progressing as it should and purchase protection will run out, I slam on the dispute button, gbam, and pull out all the seriously damning evidences. I always win such disputes.I don't stop there usually. I dutifully craft my buyer's review with pictures included and expose the Seller's antics, at least for the benefit of inexperienced buyers. I guess I may have been responsible for a few of such sellers closing their accounts after my reviews. 5 Likes

It eventually had some facts revealed around it viz: the man had an altercation with his girlfriend (the second victim) at the lady's residence and perhaps accidentally killed her. The neighbours testified to hearing the altercation. Later the man carried the body and stopped by his own residence to drop a note for his wife where he indicated that "he had done something terrible" (the note was seen). Then he drove himself and the corpse to the location where he took the sniper (the bottle was also found in the car). Of course, more than just theorising is needed in these cases and an autopsy would have been the best to rule out or rule in homicide - fight marks, toxicology, CO poisoning ( which would produce a bright red coloured blood called carboxyhemoglobin as agains the dark blue of methemoglobin), Presence of semen in/on the lady's privates amongst other clues. But as we all know, autopsies aren't a strong forte of the Nigerian police. Pray not to be found near a crime scene because the Nigerian Police will not investigate to even rule out your involvement. |

Na like this this guy go dey junket all over the world with state resources once he gets elected. The signs were there with Buhari before his first election. But GEJ left Nigerians with no choice with his non-chalant attitude towards fighting corruption. Hence Buhari was able to ride on "anti-corruption and integrity" trail to convince Nigerians to vote for him. Years down the line, Buhari has proven to Nigerians that he is just like GEJ. Now that signs are there with BAT and thankfully there are better, healthier, younger and apparently more honest options this time, Nigerians should reject the foisting of an elderly unhealthy dishonest statesman on the people. 5 Likes |

This is absolutely true. I believe recreational substance usage has been responsible for gaffes of one of the aspirants of late. It is reputed he uses stimulants on a steady basis but with advanced age approaching, the efficacy of substance usage seems to have depreciated with him. Another, which is not part of the aspirants though, is likely to be Dino Melaye. Dude can't be singing those short comedic and belittling music videos he shoots with clear eye. Dapo Abiodun, confirmed. Wike, confirmed. Some governors in the East are avid users with mpuri mmiri. I'm not sure about Amaechi, but I wouldn't be surprised if he takes. Northerners ńkọ́? Segun Òní is the choice of the majority as at today. I dare say this APC dude is wasting his time. He has a weak structure like the dude representing PDP in the state. The duo of Fayemi and Fayose worked against the emergence of Segun Oni in PDP for the obvious reason that he had before proven to be a thorn in the flesh of the duo during his first stint as governor in the state, a tenure that was truncated by the courts in favour of Fayemi. During that time, Segun Òní did not interfere when EFCC came for the head of fayose regarding his fake poultry project in the state. In another instance, and while Fayose was in power, he had informed Segun Òní that he was sending new cars to him and also some cash gift being a former governor in the state. Segun òní simply rejected the gifts and instead adviced Fayose to use the monies to pay outstanding salaries and pension in the states emphasising that those people need it more than he needs cars or money. This infuriated Fayose so much. And truly, barring morality and uprightness, who would not be infuriated by that apparent "holier-than-thou" response from Segun Oni? The only difference however is that Segun Òní apparently preaches what he himself preaches and believes: that the citizens need their monies more than he himself needs cars and cash gifts from the government. It takes only a honest man and an upright heart with deep introspection to agree that Segun Òní was probably right in his suggestion. Still in a third instance, during the last guber election in the state, Segun òní was as usual egded out unjustly. The party (APC that he was then) offered to compensate him with senatorial position. He declined on the basis that he won't have so much positive impact on the state as much as if he were the governor. He then suggested that the Senate slot be given to another fellow in his senatorial district (can't recall his name now) and urging the fellow to work for the betterment of the district in the Senate. Sadly this fellow reneged on his promises to the people and worked against the people and at variance with the advice of Segun Òní. And of course not surprising because most Nogerian senators push their districts to the background throughout their period of service in the chambers and only remember to come back home when another election is approaching. So all those incidences and a few minor ones gave Segun Òní away to political pundits as someone who would not dance to their tune of sharing the state's resources and also with the possibility that he will not stop the EFCC from doing their job when they come for the duo of Fayose (he still has his case pending in the courts) and Fayemi (a lot of rot and corruption is likely to be unveiled when he leaves governorship), it was imperative that they work against him. The good thing however is that his movement to the SDP similarly saw the majority of the electorates in the state pledgs their support for him by deciding that their voting is not determined by party, but by personality. Segun Òní seems to be the household name in the mouths of most Ekiti indigenes at the moment. This notwithstanding, the power of incumbency and state resources which APC currently wields cannot be underestimated. So an overwhelming swing votes in favour of Segun Òní and accompanied with the people's resolve to defend their votes against rigging may be the only things that can ensure that Segun Oni coasts home to victory. 3 Likes 1 Share |
