cheesy cheesy cheesy

You're obviously an ignorant turd and a poorly educated kid.

1. Saddam Hussein

The making of Saddam Hussein by the CIA: A Tyrant 40 Years in the Making https://www.nytimes.com/2003/03/14/opinion/a-tyrant-40-years-in-the-making.html

U.S. Secretly Gave Aid to Iraq Early in Its War Against Iran: https://www.nytimes.com/1992/01/26/world/us-secretly-gave-aid-to-iraq-early-in-its-war-against-iran.html

Revealed: how the West set Saddam on the bloody road to power: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/revealed-how-the-west-set-saddam-on-the-bloody-road-to-power-1258618.html

^There are loads more to unravel/unpack but I'll stop there for now. If you can read, that should give you an inkling on how Saddam was armed to the teeth by the US and UK with American and British weapons. Saddam only switch to Soviet weapons after they discarded him and Iraq was under arms embargo. And he couldn't even get a lot of direct lethal Soviet weapons. So most of his lethal weapons were American and British made and those weapons were effectively grounded due to lack of parts caused by embargo.

In essence, Saddam was basically disarmed before Iraq was invaded by the US in 2003. Anyone with a brain (which you obviously lack) would know that.

2. Middle East is basically the US' playground. Israel is like a mega US aircraft carrier with almost 10million people. The US has bases with tens of thousands of troops stationed in Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and a massive military base in Turkey. So, the US can basically put a million troops in Iraq within 24hrs without the need to mobilise. Russia on the other hand, despite being next to Ukraine would need to mobilise to be able to put the same number of troops in Ukraine because its military isn't a wartime military. Again. you have no clue and you're a slowpoke who understands zilch about the military.

3. Nazi Germany didn't take Britain because they didn't want to and never even committed their strongest troops to taking Britain. The attck on Britain was mostly a feint and Hitler's eyes were on the Soviet Union hence he committed about 90% of his elite forces against the Soviet Union. If Hitler wanted Britain, it would've been a walk in the park but he didn't really pursue it for the following reasons:

a. PM Chamberlain already cut a deal with Hitler by giving the Nazis Czech republic with the Munich Agreement (before Churchill got to power). There was also some sort of connection between the British Royal Family and Hitler.

There's a reason why the US and UK absorbed the Nazis rather than destroy them after the war like the Soviets did. And Nazis preferred surrending to US and British forces than Soviet forces. Heck, Nazis founded NATO after WW2 and a lot of American secretary of state post- WW2 have Nazi lineage.

b. All the resources he needs to achieve his dream are in the Soviet Union. Britain has no resources. Nazi Germany was also part of the capitalist bloc while the Soviet Union was an opposing ideology with communism.

c. Taking Britain would've got the Americans involved (the US was neutral at this point). And that would've made him compromise the amount of elite forces he committed to the eastern front against the Soviets which would've been a disaster because he sent all his elite forces to the eastern front against the Soviets. Alas, it ended up being a disaster because the Soviets destroyed all his elite forces.

^I'll stop here because history is way deeper than what a lot of you know. You have to read extensively to know a lot of things.

4. LMAO. In the next 20yrs, American paratroopers wouldn't be able to pull off what the Russian VDV paratroopers did at Gostomel airport. Even American veterans alluded to this on Twitter. 200-300 paratroopers against 3 elites Ukrainian brigades and hundreds of NATO special forces and they held the Kiev airport from Feb.24 until other Russian forces got there and never lost it in any battle until they withdrew. And less than 30 of them were killed. That's one for the history books. Those VDV paratroopers are the ones crushing Ukrainians in Donbass right now, lol.

This is a video on CNN when CNN reporters went to the airport a few days after the paratroopers took it and Ukrainians lied that they have pushed them out, lol:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b40r8RX5MoE

cheesy cheesy He rushed there thinking they were Ukrainians because Ukrainian propaganda lied that they pushed them out. Only to find out that the VDV badarses were still in control, lol. And they never lost it. CNN basically exposed Ukrainian propaganda in real time.

5. RQ-7? grin. No, Iranians captured US RQ-170 stealth drone with EW. It's the most advanced US drone that Americans claimed were invincible/invisible and Iran captured it with EW without breaking a sweat. So none of the trash you posted is a match for the Russians and Chinese.

6. Moskva was hit by a sea mine - not Neptune missiles. Even the most rabid pro-Ukrainian shill on Twitter who're veterans said it's not Neptune missiles because nothing on the ship showed it was hit by a missile. And that corroborates Russian claims.

7. What's AWC? Or you mean AWACS? Well, US AWACS are mostly overrated and Russian EW jams it often.

Anyway, this isn't about AWACS - it's about American MQ-9B drones. So read what Russians did to Americans in Syria from an American general below:

The US has been concerned by the battle-field success of Russian EW systems. At the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s 2018 GEOINT Symposium, General Raymond Thomas, then commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, said that Syria has become “the most aggressive E.W. environment on the planet. They are testing us every day, knocking our communications down, disabling our EC-130s, etcetera,” he said without directly mentioning Russia.

There have been reports in the US media that Russia has been blocking small U.S. surveillance drones from receiving GPS satellite signals.

Greetings to the Gurus...
I have a centurion automatic gate which I always find it difficult to use due to lack of Electricity(we all know what light has become in Nigeria now)
please I want to know the material needed to use Solar. I.e. The capacity of the Panel e.t.c
The battery is 12V 7.2Ah
I already have a solar controller.

Is your sliding gate opener provisioned to use battery (DC powered)?

If its AC only, then you should be looking at around 180 watts motor and around 250 watts peak per cycle.

But if it is provisioned for DC power (AC/DC/solar), then the motor should be circa 80 watts.

You may need to use a watt meter to be sure of the true consumption though.

I use a 12v/24v DC/solar powered model (with in built charge controller) after retiring an AC powered one, though none of the two are "centurion" model.

Your 12v 7.2ah may power it, but the backup will be quite short. The quiesent current draw of my AC opener was around 4 watts, then the dedicated 24v inverter also consumes 8 watts, so by morning the 24v 12ah battery backup is flat. So I was forced to retire it.

The DC opener has a slot for 12v 6ah battery, but I decided to construct a 24v 20ah Li-ion pack for it. The voltage of the pack has never gone below 25v ever since it was connected to it. Its charged by 2s 12v 40 watts panel. I use an external PWM controller, not the in built one. I believe not using the in built CC will prolong the life of the board although I already bought an extra board as stand by against the rainy day.

mcTrinity:

The bolded are so very untrue sir...

We need to learn to buttress some points here without outrightly condemning some methodology here; especially methods that have worked and IS still working.
It is true that using MC4 connector is a very fine and commendable method for joining external cables to panel own.

It is also true that cutting off the panel cable and joining by twisting can cause some or all of your points, buy that's not always the case. You made it sound general. After all, whether you want to believe it or not, people have used MC4 and ended up with more wahala of no-contact or using inferior connector, which also results to some or all your points too.

EVERYTHING depends on quality of material used and skill of the installer!!!

Over 7 years, I've installed so many hundreds of panels and I never, for once, use MC4 connector for any installation. And for 5 years plus, I've ALWAYS handled all connections myself untill I was sure my guys can do it satisfactorily to my standard. As a matter of fact, only one of my guys can do that and he's the only one that can do connection aside myself.

I did installation for one client.. 5 years later, while he was changing his batteries, he decided to add more panels. During the upgrade, the told me he noticed I cut the cables and that he would like me to use MC4 for the upgrade; that he's heard about the concerns you just pointed out. However, I asked him if his panel performance has dropped at any time, and he said no.
However, I took him to the old connections and I gradually removed all the double layer insulations on ALL joints and I asked him to see if there's any form of degradation. Bros, all joints were still much intact. The insulation tape didn't degrade. The cables were still looking good; none was looking dark or corroded.
That's how the man allowed me to do my thing.

Now, I'm going to explain how exactly I do my connections using pictures. Pictures attached were taken 2 years ago, which I use for classroom explanations during my Training sessions. Follow the pictures according to the numbers.

The only thing I want to add is this; most twisted connections have issues because most installers lack the skill and patience of proper cable joining. I've giving opportunity to some electricians and their twisting and insulating mannerism is just very local and road-side.

Referring to the pictures, after twisting together the strands in Pic 4, I first use an "A Grade" flame retardant white insulation tape for the first taping (pic 5) I buy this tape at N750 at ShopRite. Then I use an original Scotch tape to do the 2nd and final taping (pic 6). See pic 8 for the tapes

You can't use all this N50 insulation tape and won't expect it to untape (or unwind) as times go on. And during taping, ensure you tension the tape.

For the exposure, I always ensure I tie cables to the rail, and I ensure all joint sides are directly covered by the panels. Sun or rain, none would near it.

So, guy, there's absolutely nothing wrong with cutting off and joining. As long as you use the proper and professional method or joining. Even the National Electrical Code (NEC) and British Standard Code still have joining methods with different methodology like T-method, Married method etc... People should learn how to properly remove insulation, divide strands, and join cables. Then also, properly insulate them.
And while insulating, give like 1inch gap down before you start insulating and work your way upwards, applying tension and leaving no single air-gap.

Each year I go for maintenance (panel washing ) for clients, I inspect everything.... And always, all is intact and still performing optimally.

Finally, one thing with cutting off the head would help you with is identifying if the panel you bought comes with copper (whether pure copper or tinned copper) or aluminium.
Some years back, one man asked me to help check his set-up installed by somebody. The panels were just over 2years but no protection again. Like, the MPPT was not charging again and he was wondering whether the MPPT was bad. After troubleshooting, I told him that nothing is wrong with the MPPT and the problem could be that something is wrong somewhere with the Array.
Right on the roof, I started disconnecting the panels to test them one after the other. And yes, MC4 was used. First 2 panels were okay but the 3rd one in the string wasn't reading any voltage. Out of 9panels, 6 were not reading.

We now brought down all the panels. I decided to open the black boxes and test directly, bypassing the cables. Mehn, see decay! Cable has decayed at the point it's connected to the diode assembly and has literally decayed off. The cables were ALUMINIUM cables!!!

In summary, we changed all cables and soldered copper cables to the diode assembly. That solves it. However, the man later changed all the panels...

I've also had one client that bought Joysolar panels sometime and asked me to come and install. After cutting the first head and realising the cable was aluminium, we jejely changed all cables on all 12panels. And the annoying part is that, the aluminium is ALWAYS coated with copper colour. Not until you handle it, and then you'll realise it's aluminium.... That's is, if you can actually be able to differentiate

However, when you buy original panels from original source, you won't have doubt as to whether they came with Copper or Aluminium. They always come with copper (pure or tinned).

Whichever case, I love cutting and twist-joining... Trust me, some twist-joining outlasts some MC4 connections...

Whatever anyone finds comfortable, the key thing is the professionalism you applied in whatever method .. Cheers

Okay sir. No wàhálà na.

does it mean removing mc4 connectors harms the current the pv is generating? please i need more clarification on this.. sometimes this mc4 connectors do not make good contacts

@bolded is quite untrue.

The MC4s are designed to ensure perfect and fit contact with themselves. They are weatherproof and designed to last the lifetime of the panel. They are also rated to handle the current that flows from the panels. That is why arcing is quite uncommon at their points of contacts when used in installation, whereas the naked wires (after the MC4s are decapitated) will form arcs when huge current passes across the twist junction. This gradually weakens the joint and eventually the joint burns out, disrupting flow from the panels down to the CC, hence your voltmeter may give correct voltage reading at the termination on the CC, but no current will be detected by the CC. The naked wires too (even with black tape insulation used), are prone to oxidation as they get exposed to the elements.

So if the problem of arcing does not occur soon, oxidation will definitely come along later. The wire develops depositions, the strands become brittle and break off easily. You don't want to have this kind of problem if your panels are roof mounted where they are not within easy reach.

Hollawayn05:

Thanks for the insight, the wire was cut off and joined den covered with aa tape, if it was the arc formed causing the low voltage what's the possible solution sir?

I guessed as much.

If your panels are roof mounted, sorry you will have to climb back on the roof. If it is a weak joint, twist the wires well. If it is an arc joint (with dark burnt junction and melted insulation), then you have to cut off the bad section and make another twist. After the correction, check back on the CC to see if its charging.

But I can assure you that the problem will likely repeat itself later on as it has to do with the junction not being optimal for the current coming from the panel.

So your best bet, which I implore you to do, is to purchase MC4s and rẹ-fit back to the panel wires.

What I noticed befor now is that their is a drop in voltage anytime I off the circuit breaker connecting the panel to CC..
The system was okay yesterday am just Suprised

Maybe I should ask you this: Were the MC4 connectors of your panels left intact by the installer or they were cut off? This is important especially as you said it is a new installation that has worked for only three days.

In instances as where the MC4s are removed, the twisted panel wires often form an arc at the junction of the panel wires and the wire running the rest of the way to the CC. With the arc formed at the junction, a voltmeter may even show normal panel output voltage when measured at the point of entry to the CC. However the current required from the panels will be low or non-existent as shown by the CC.

What does it take to produce Solar Panels in Nigeria?
Dont we produce Batteries (Berec Batteries, Exide Batteries) in Nigeria, in the 70s/80's?

These are the two major expense in Solar Setup, if we set our priorities right and stop enriching China, every house can have a Solar Panel and Batteries for backup at night.

Please forgive my rant, e just dey vex me at times.

Speaking of China, do you know that China has now become the world's wealthiest nation? It recently overtook the US as the wealthiest boasting of 120 trillion dollar, 30 trillion dollars more than the wealth of the US.

Ah, God. I still remember the days of "Chinko phones" that have FM antenna and those very loud speakers, phones with TV tuners in them grin. That time as happening guys, we wouldn't come near those products with a foot long pole. This is just less than 20 years ago. But while outsiders see it as an abysmal and inferior manufacturing capacity in China, China sees it as a weaning stage, a developmental stage that should be negotiated. Everything they have done, all their policies over the past decade has been a deliberate, strategic and steady plan to become wealthy and dominate manufacturing. Those short guys are not short of wisdom at all.

But this may not be for long though. India is another potential destination of this record soon.

Manufacturing, manufacturing and manufacturing. These are the three ways a nation can become wealthy.

If Nigeria likes, they should produce all the maize, cocoa, cassava, crude oil etc in the world. If there is no way to have these things converted to finished consumables within our shores, we will keep being poor; exporting a kilogramme of cocoa pods (that can produce hundreds of chocolate bars) at a measly 2000 naira per kg while the hundreds of bars are sold back to us for around 50k.

I don rack my head tire on top many ideas. But large capital is absent and much more, I am fearful of the Nigerian business killing policy.

Just think this might come in handy.

Omo, that Lithium-Titanate bhaad ghan! With moderate use, you may possibly fail to exhaust it in a lifetime. Best case scenario, bequeath it to your children.

Boy go be like, oi, that battery was used by my dad before he died and I'm still rocking it! grin grin

Excellent. There is no "burning" without oxygen. The technical term for burning is "Combustion", while what the gentleman was talking about is called "Pyrolysis". However, your explanation about production and mechanism of action of activated charcoal is not correct. Please check it up. Activated charcoal acts by trapping poison, not by reacting with it. It is a physical process, not chemical.

Yeah that's true, adsorption I think is the right word. Thanks.

Overall I think the OP should try to be very clear, simple and explanatory with his depositions rather than the confusions he fills his arguments with, saying it authoritatively as if his is the holy grail and all other things in the past 1170 pages have been false junks. He stops by occasionally and drops one or two grenades grin, newbies dey here ó, make una no confuse us.

Shey because someone mentioned resonant inverters now, as newbie, I will start looking around for "resonant" inverters, I'll be like kiekie, adrusa ó, justcallmenuel ó, abeg I need "pure Sine Wave resonant inverter", do you have? grin

And if as a newbie I now see good supplies of 18650s over FLA, I will turn it down because someone says Li-ion is not good, Haba!

He is saying things in a lay man terms.
If u were asked to touch ur throat u will touch ur neck and ur neck, neck.

Definitely, not actual burning ( with an obvious flame) without oxygen but u which term will u use when u see smoke out of a "body"?

Those who are into charcoal production will not burn wood to see actual flame. Na ash be dat na.

For water to boil out of wood shows a temperature close to 100 degrees.

*****There is no smoke without fire****

You get my point?

Probably I was supposed to quote the burn.
Correction accepted.

I quite get your flow. We're all learning new things everyday, ain't we?

Some Chinese sellers already trying to cash in on the great reputation of BYD blade battery cheesy.

For all you care, it may just be one yèyẹ́ factory that made it into the form factor BYD's battery are noted for.

Or it could be "grade F" BYD blade batteries.

Bros wood will burn without oxygen.
I dont know him but i will make research if someone told me that 2+1 is 4.

Thanks for the input. Not to appear gropping at semantics, the keyword there is "burn" which is quite different from boil or "heat" which was used in the snapshot, the latter two being able to take place as incomplete process in the absence of oxygen. Pressure cookers expel most of the air yet the substance still cooks, but not aflame. Only a few substances are effectively incendiary enough in the absence of oxygen and I don't think wood is one of them. That is why wood fire as a class two cat can be extinguished by a fire extinguisher because it suffocates the wood of air whereas a Lithium ion (LiNiCd) fire ńa werey fire classified as class four, not easily countered by your common extinguisher.

Heating in the absence of air I believe deprives the end product of Oxygen species as part of the compound which in turn makes it highly reactive (i.e hungry for an element to combine with to stabilise itself). This of course stands to reason because the "activated charcoal" end product is used in various applications the one I'm well used to, as a medical personell, being to detoxify the stomach contents when poisoning is suspected. The charcoal hungrily binds to any elements or chemicals it meets in the stomach in such instance. On the other hand, if ithe wood were aflame - a process clearly requiring air - then the end product will be quite different from that of heating it in a vaccum.

Again this is me just pulling it out of my basic knowledge residue (yet to sit down and research it), therefore I may still be incorrect, but I think my basic knowledge says otherwise.

This is exactly what is Needed for Activated Carbon High Amperage Battery Which Can Be Self-Buit.

Hint: The easiest way to Produce Activated Carbon Is To Burn Dry Wood In Airtight container. DO Not Pour Water On The Newly Formed Charcoal. Allow The Newly Formed Charcoal To Cool Down By Itself. Charcoal Of This Process Do Generates Electricity Directly. THIS is already Tested and Proven. No Arguments Please! No Research, No Discoveries....

NEPA CAN TAKE OFF THERE OIL AND GAS GENERATED ELECTRICITY.... WHO CARES?

Na wa o.

How do you even burn dry wood in an airtight container, hehn?! How will the fire burn? Even with fuel mixtures, oxygen is still needed for fire to burn.

See, I think you're trying to pass information across, but the way you are going about it is very nondescript. You don't even make effort to make detailed and convincing explanation and in easy to follow patterns. The way you jump from one discussion to another makes your depositions too abstract, uninteresting and non-catchy reads.

I don't mean to come across as confrontational o before you now reply me with diatribes, that will even be difficult for me to read smoothly sef.
