Thank God is not that guy that posted this, i would have bash him.

Now you have seen for yourself another area window phone is lacking behind. Is app creation meant for a particular mobile device or current OS running on a particular device?

Some app will tell you, this is not meant for lumia 610 though the app says phone runing 8.1 and if lumia 610 is running 8.1 and also lumia 520 running 8.1, why cant app running on lumia 1020 using 8.1 run on both 619 and 520? Another flaws

If samsung galaxy 5 and techno phantom runs same OS kitkat... They can run same app despite the cost and spec.

Hope you get me right coz i have saw many app review on window app store complaining of this jargons.

I was even the first person that posted the New BBM update here weeks ago. I dont complain of lagging after i upgrade my BBM using OS 8.1 but i saw so many ppl complaining here even on window store. So dont tell me crap or lecture me when it comes to window 8 OS

My brother don't mind these peeps here, they taught im novice when it comes to using smartphone.... I have used virtually all OS even the almighty iOS and i can tell you the difference.

They are making people looks like window phone is the classic fone in town now.

For you info, I sell mobile gadget and I can tell you hundreds of areas where window 8 phone is lacking behind.... Now look at the much hype delim update... Noting is changing like what people are anticipating.

Do you the latest trend in town now about window 8 phone.... It is the speakers and headphone issue. You will plug in your headphone and when you remove it. The outside speakers stops working... I search google yesterday and come and see thousands of people having this problem from different device. Well Microsoft claim it is software issue that next update will fix it.

It was yesterday that I discovered the soft solution to it... I almost look like a lier yesterday when I wanted to sell Lumia 1020 to someone and the speaker stop working but thank God I was able to explain to the guy on how to manually do because it is just a software issue and not hardware.

If I'm lying just search google"Nokia Lumia speakers not working after using Headphones" and see comments.

If it comes to Os rating.

iOs no one

Blackberry 10.1 third

Windows follows.

You can still quote and attack me with your lectures.
And please can you google "iPhone 6 bending and breaking, iOS fingerprint scanner issues, iPhone map issues" and "android kitkat lagging issues"?

abegi, what are you saying ke? Don't ever compare windows with Android ,ever again! A phone that if you download say a PDF file, you don't know where it is. You can only view it with Adobe(or any other PDF reader). You don't know where downloaded files go. I downloaded a zip file with uc browser, with the hope of sending it to the system. Till today, I don't know where it is. I can only check what's inside the zip from the download history of UC. You have to developer unlock the phone before you can install apps not from the store and so on. Windows is better than Androidhuh Not even close!
Sorry, but you've missed it. "Aerize explorer" is a windows phone file manager that automatically sequesters whatever file you open with ut in an "incoming folder". So when you click your pdf file in the UC browser, you're given the option of opening with either adobe or aerize explorer. Choosing the former simply opens the file and gets it into the adobe file system but not in your phone file system. But choosing the latter gets your file into the phone system such that you can access, even in a PC and share it with others at a lager date.

Do other notifications behave in similar manner? i.e. Whatsapp, e-mail, nearby live etc. If that is the case, then perhaps your phone setting is in battery saving mode. Otherwise, you may have put BBM settings in "restrict background process". In this case, you head to SETTINGS>BATTERY SAVER>then swipe to processes and check the settings for BBM.

HealthRe: Health Workers' Strike Paralyses Federal Hospital by ceaser: 8:19pm On Nov 19, 2014
sogodihno:
And somebody will now come here and be saying it's only doctors that matter at the hospital. sad
.......found that except in-patients, that is those already on admission, those who had clinic appointments and the very critically ill patients, others were being rejected.
The primary function of the hospital as you can see still goes on. Critically ill patients were still retained, a trend which equally happened even when the physicians went on strike as some doctors stayed to take care of the critically ill.

It was, however, observed that the consultants and all the doctors were working round the clock, and the X-ray departments, the laboratories and the blood bank were offering skeletal services.
Apparently, the vital sections to keep health service delivery on-going are being occupied by the specialists. The skeletal services are offered by the few hands on deck among the pathologists, something that can be eased by the employment of more pathologists and those in-training. Same goes for the radiologists.

It was observed that officials rejected outpatient’s cases that were not on emergency list.
In short, work was going on as patients which is the primary reason for existence of a hospital were coming. The screening out of the emergencies was as a result of the overwhelming situation for the few hands on deck.

Achunike Emembolu, a trader who brought her sick aged mother to the hospital, said he rushed her sick mother to LASUTH when she was rejected by LUTH.“I was seriously worried when they turned us back, telling us that they were on strike and were not admitting new patients.
The bolded seems to be the only truth I've seen in this news reporting and I do have my reasons for the conclusion. I had a surgeon in OAUTH agreed to see a patient for follow up and possible minor procedure despite the strike. The first huddle was the entrance at the gate where a johesuite as I suspected, told us to turn back as they were on strike. Unknown to her, I was aware of the strike and the surgeon still insisted I bring the patient. So I simply ignored her. Other uninformed patients would have been fooled into believing they will not be attended to and therefore turned back at the gate.

The next problem was taking the BP, temperature and weight of the patient before he sees the doctor, something which the nurses usually do, but equally done as routine by the doctors. To my chagrin, I was told by the surgein that although he had done the BP, temperature, he couldn't check the weight as the nurses had locked the weighing scale(a property of the hospital) in their office. That's not to speak of the patients' folder that the records locked in theirs, which had not in anyway stopped the patients being seen by the doctors as temporary folders were used which are then transferred to the master folder later. Besides, this doctor knows most things about his patients such that the folder being absent is not an impediment.

To cut the long story short, another patient had offered to purchase a bathroom scale for 1k5 and presented it for the use of other patients and so problem solved. The final shocker came when we realized that the door to the clinic had been secretly locked from outside with us inside (it was opened before), thereby giving the impression to in-coming patients that no one was there to attend to their needs.

Well, this patient successfully underwent her treatment during the three days she was on admission, despite the strike. The other challenge that we encountered in the ward was that of the works department that went ahead to stop the water supply, but hey, patients relatives promptly went ahead to fetch from wells within the premises and so, that was no problem eventually. Some of the relatives equally took it upon themselves to sweep and clean the floors of the wards. The problems of nurses chasing out patient's relatives was with temporary relief as the relatives joked about it, mimicking the nurses in the process and having a good laugh about it.

So this little experience got me thinking: When doctors go on strike, do they really take the hospital equipments they work with along? Do they lock the gates and doors of the hospital to patients and tell them not to come near the hospital? Do they hide the patients' treatment folders at their disposal? Do they lock the doors to their consulting rooms? Yet the moment the Dow tools, everything within the hospital comes to a halt as all johesu members loiter around doing nothing since the patients which visit the hospital to see the doctor and by extension other health workers will have gotten the message that they need not bother coming to a hospital that has no doctor on duty.

Suffice to say that for the duration of time my patient was on admission, not less yhan three johesu members of the same intitution accessed hospital services delivered by the doctors that were working in different capacities as physicians, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, clinical pharmacologists.

I sincerely hope this will serve an eye opener for the unsuspecting public that are being fed lies on a daily basis in the pages of the newspaper and other forms of media. Lies that are aimed at making them see their doctors as the villain and the enemy. You can't possibly make an enemy of someone that you've chosen to put your lives in his hands, it's unreasonable. That I have learnt.

Patients Groan as Health Workers’ Strike Paralyses Federal Hospitals
So perhaps, the topic should have read thus: Patients groan as health workers bar them from accessing hospital services.
CelebritiesPastor And His Accomplices Arrested Over Fake Miracle by ceaser(op): 4:37pm On Nov 16, 2014
A pastor who allegedly hired a woman to pose as a cripple and ‘healed’ her during a church service has been arrested by the Odorkor Police.

The suspect, Jonas Abedi, 35, is being held together with the woman, Helena Donkor, 40, and three others.

The others are Enoch Mortey, 29, who posed as a pastor; Divine Kwadwo Columbus, 36, a self-acclaimed prophet, and Christiana Quainoo, 36, who posed as a sister of the cripple who had brought her to the church for healing.

Abedi was said to have performed the ‘miracle’ at a church he was visiting for a two-day programme.

Facebook Contact

The Odorkor District Police Commander, Superintendent of Police Mr Abraham Acquaye, told the Daily Graphic that the
incident happened on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.

He said Abedi had been invited by the Founder of Power Explosion Chapel at Tantra Hills in Accra, Rev Ewurama Annan, after the two had established contact through Facebook, a social media platform.

He said Abedi, who claimed to be a Ghanaian pastor based in New York in the United States of America (USA), and Rev Annan had been communicating through Facebook for a while.

“In one of their chats, Abedi told Rev Annan that he had been invited by a church in South Africa for a programme and was scheduled to visit Ghana for another programme with a church in Kumasi, after which he would want to pay her a visit,” Mr Acquaye said.

He said Rev Annan informed Abedi that her church had been holding services on Sundays and Tuesdays and wanted him to be the guest speaker on November 11

About two weeks later, Rev Annan received a phone call from Abedi that he had arrived in Ghana and was done with
the Kumasi-based church.

Instant healing

Mr Acquaye said Power Explosion Chapel hosted Abedi and his two pastor friends in a hotel for the programme, which was held on Sunday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 11, 2014.

“During the service on Tuesday, Abedi asked the congregation if there was any sick person in the church and Quainoo responded that she had brought her crippled sister,” he said.

The pastor, Mr Acquaye said, led the congregation to pray for the sick woman who had come to the church with crutches and was unable to stand on her legs.

After the church had prayed, the police commander said, the pastor asked her to walk, and instantly the woman was able to walk and even jumped without the crutches and support of her sister.

Other Miracles

Earlier, the commander said, Abedi had called a young man from the congregation and told him that he was involved in the use of charms to seduce older women and that he was in the church because of a woman.

“To prove a point, Abedi said the young man was carrying the charm and a condom in his pocket and asked him to bring them out. The man brought out a substance and a condom,” he said.

Another man was also said to have been called to the front of the congregation, after which Abedi mentioned the name and the telephone number of the man and revealed other personal details, to the surprise of the congregation.

The arrest

However, Mr Acquaye said, the founder of the church told the police that she became suspicious after the service, since all the people Abedi ministered to were not members of her church.

She, therefore, detailed some elders of the church to monitor those people and Abedi.

At the end of the service, the woman who had been healed carried her crutches and put them behind a waiting four- wheel drive vehicle at a filling station near the church where she waited with her supposed sister.

The other two men also joined them, while the church elders monitored and saw them making phone calls.

Shortly after, a man walked to them and gave them money, which the elders suspected to be payment for their services.

With the help of the Odorkor District Police night patrol team, the elders managed to apprehend the two women, while the two men bolted.

The pastor and his two friends were later arrested at their hotel.

Mr Acquaye said on interrogation, Helena and Christiana confessed that they had been contracted by a lady who gave them the crutches and asked them to put up the charade for a fee of GH¢50 each.

They obviously can't pull the littlest of traction with their strike compared to the collapse witnessed few months ago with the NMA. HealthRevealed: Why Men Sleep Immediately After S£x by ceaser(op): 6:55am On Sep 30, 2014
Since the inception of sexuality, many reasons have been given why men sleep just immediately after sex; with ‘they are selfish’ point topping the list of reasons, many need to know the real reasons why this has been prominent with men.

Although sex has been referred to as one of the most enjoyable things between a man and woman, the woman race has been on the search to know why men nods straight to sleep after a good sex. With most women thinking ”dropping” straight into sleep by their men is a complete negative phenomena, the general notion has been that men are actually selfish to sleep immediately not minding how their mates feel about it.

Although men argue that the nature of sleeping immediately after sex is due to tiredness from its rigors, Scientists have however found a good argument for men by confirming that ”men sleep after sex because they just cannot help it”. In a recent publication by Punch, it has been ascertained that men sleep after sex because they have little power over their bodies at that point in time, hence, not being able to stay awake after the whole rigor of sex.

Scientists have said that men really do need to sleep after sex when they climax because their brains become flooded with sleep-inducing chemicals such as oxytocin, serotonin and prolactin. Also, the blood rush after the climax depletes the muscles of energy-producing glycogen and because men typically have higher muscle density than women, they become more tired after sex.

A research made it known that after sex, a man’s cerebral cortex, which is the ‘thinking’ area, shuts down almost immediately after orgasm, in which two other areas, the cingulate cortex and amygdale make the rest of the brain to deactivate from sexual desire. This successive sexual behavior has however been linked to only humans alone according to research.

However it has been said that wives can talk to their partners about how they feel after sex, urging their husbands to dedicate few minutes for them immediately after sex, so as to help enhance the sleeping nature of their husbands after sex. According to a Consultant Psychologist, Prof. Toba Elegbeleye, said sex takes a lot of energy to complete and that there is tendency for the brain and the entire system to want to rest when such intense energy is exhibited. He also made it known that the location where the sexual activity takes place also has a way of affecting the man. In his words: “When you indulge in sex, which usually takes place at night when people sleep naturally, it comes with a level of intensity that involves all your energy and whatever you can muster to make it have a shaking effect, after which the multi-nerve ends are relaxed. This makes people sleep easily.

“It also depends on where you do it. Usually, if it is a legal encounter, which takes place in your own bedroom where you are comfortable, you might sleep, which is different from when you do it in your car or somewhere else under duress, that is not so comfortable.

“Another factor that could aid sleeping well after sex is eating good food prior to the act because you may not be able to do it well if you are hungry and the body entertains only one urge at a time and hunger is as strong an urge and a drive as sex is. Other factors could be to have a pleasant room atmosphere with a good bed and if there is no thought of threatening financial burden or security issues in mind.”

http://www.naij.com/277694-revealed-men-sleep-sex.html

So now the mystery is solved for the inquiring minds. Stop blaming the male folks please, as their nation literally switch off, making them unable to think straight or in worst (best) case scenario, unable to think at all. grin

Really, you still get to have your L1525 with the WP8.1 or even WP9/threshold but this time in a different pack - the Lumia series. The hardwares including the camera and imaging, design, Lumia exclusive apps, strength and durability will still be Nokia-ish (i.e. unbeatable). This is because the design team still remains Nokia team that was acquired alongside the MSFT buy-in deal. So don't you worry, WP OS is still as virile as ever and growing in market share.

Have it in mind that WP8.1 GDR1 had brought the OS at par with current and tending market features. GDR2 & especially GDR3 roll-out will unlock more features yet to be seen in other mobile OSes. By next year, WP9 will mount the podium with more out-of-the-world UI and UX including but not limited to the yet secretive 3D touch technology of MSFT.

I've noticed that the major thing I'm missing by not having cyan is the addition of Dolby and equalizer capabilities for the external speakers. But I already enjoy all that thru my earphones, so no qualms. Besides, not having cyan did not preclude me from getting GDR1 which I already rock too with its added features. So I'm good with my WP8.1.1 (minus cyan). I don't even expect to have problem with Lumia Demin coming soon.

If you're on WP8.1 already, go to SETTINGS, then open ACCESS POINT. Click on "+" to add new access point and enter the details from the screenshot for Glo.

tracybee: Well there are two sides to every coin, and is obviously playing the victim,no marriage is perfect and communication with a marriage counsellor in private or church council could have helped resolved the issues she had this marriage, she sounds even jealous of his success n is apparently not thinking of the implications on her kids and the lives she has helped bring to christ.
He has been accused of living apart from the family, why wait 16years before you divorce a man who hasn't been there, she complained of him being devoted to his work didn't she know that before she married him.this is already getting messier and uglier
She must have repeatedly urged him to do the right thing to save their marriage which could have consistently been ignored. And I suppose she must have thought it thru for 16 solid years fearing what effect a drastic step might have on her, the husband, children, the church, ministry and its members before eventually seeing no chance for respite, but to tow the line of voicing out to the public.

And why blame her for waiting for 16 yrs? I'm sure people, probably you included, will have crucified her for lack of patience had she screamed out 3 or 5 yrs into their marriage.

And about knowing who she was getting married to, it was started that he had gotten increasingly distant over the years, meaning things weren't bad at the inception.

Try to advocate objectively.

Dammyllionaire: I find it difficult to believe that this comment is coming from a lady. Is this the type of family you pray for yourself? No matter how busy a man can be either as a pastor, head of state or anything there should be reasonable time for your family
Exactly my thought. It attracted a rather hash reply to her post.

obailala: Before now I thought it was the greed and idiocy of our leaders that would kill us all.. but in recent times, I've come to an understanding that it's only our collective foolishness that can make the greed of our leaders kill us... What kind of foolishness would make anyone blame the health workers instead of the government in a situation like this?
It's unimaginable. But I think Nigerians have had to much exposure to too much irregularities from successive terrible government for far too long. This has brought about mutation in ideologies and outlook to life in a way that a normal occurrence is viewed and analysed as abnormal, sanity viewed as insanity, honesty viewed as stupidity and wrongly recompensed as such while dishonesty is viewed as smartness.

How else do you explain people blaming these workers and supporting the government that has reneged on their agreement? The other time, some peeps in this forum hurled abuses on Nigerian students on scholarship to Russia who has been abandoned by the government for almost a year. Some even went as far as blaming their parents for not being able to afford the "paltry" $350 (=N=60,000) given to their wards as part of the scholarship package and depending on the government instead.

Such warped thinking is nothing in the league of Stockholm's syndrome. It's much severe and can only be explained as a form of ideological mutation of some sort, resulting from exposure to massive doses of some toxic environmental and social variables.
