ISpiksDaTroof: Anyway, good luck in prison. Youre going to end up there if you lose the election.

P.S: IF you're smart Mr.Gej, you will make some very high profile arrests and call it a war against corruption. Make sure to include big wigs close to you so the scheme won't be so obvious. For every IBB you arrest, throw in a Tony Anenih, Stella Oduah and probably Diezani. Either u eventually let your people off easy or you just look at it as collateral damage; someone like Anenih is gonna be dead soon, anyway, so...

Just my crafty advice for you, sir. Try not to mess it up this time. Remember, your freedom is at stake.
grin Evil genius. Anyways, hasn't it been prophesized earlier on (can't remember who did now) that he's gonna end up in jail?
All isn't lost though. If he can utilize the remaining months he has to seriously endear Nigerians to himself by basically listening to 'em and heeding their calls for social justice, fight against corruption, real "not paper-based" economic, human and infrastructural development, then maybe, just maybe he can still turn things around in his favour and see the same SaveNigeriaGroup demonstration for him to be sworn in, Nigerians are easy bunch to please. Opps...Sorry, i forgot he has equally alienated the SNG in the OccupyNigeria.

Hope "I had no shoes" in 2011 will not become "I had nobody" in 2015. grin

grin grin
grin The probability of him being an ikechukwu is low. First, that guy in the picture doesn't look and isn't dressed as chukwu or an Ibo and second it's Nikkah (muslin wedding). Chukwus or Ibos are rarely Muslims. He's likely a Surajudeen, a Samsudeen, Buraimoh, Alao or Arisekola.

A little advice - watch yourself around your boss since her eyes always "light up" anytime you're around her. Innocently, some white females are wont to satisfy their curiousity about a black pDude (the legends of black endowment) grin And don't tell me she's an old woman and therefore harmless. BusinessRe: Stanbic Bank Attacks Nigerias Ecommerce Sites Jumia, Quickteller, Voguepay, Paga by ceaser:
JummyBy: Abeg make dem disappear joor! GTBank is better than stanbic anyday!
The lawmakers better do something about this attempt to frustrate our big indigenous companies. Can this happen in South Africa where stanbic came from?
I see, so stanbic is south African. Well then, it's only normal for anyone to assume they're trying to crush potential competitors of Nigerian extract. And until they come out to say otherwise, this belief will be held by many, i included. There has been precedences in HITV vs DSTV, MTN outrightly and openly refusing interconnectivity with other gsm providers, notably GLOBACOM and MTEL, in those days, so why can't it happen again? Besides I doubt if South Africa as a country will grant Nigerian owned businesses easy passage and the waivers they enjoy on Nigerian soil. We've seen countries like Ghana and Zimbabwe try such with Nigerian businesses, so why won't south Africa attempt such? They probably have foreseen potentials in these businesses edging 'em out as Woolsworth was and so they're putting measures in place to frustrate competitions. While it's acceptable for foreign businesses to employ rather subtle measures to crush competition, it's highly distasteful and confrontational to do such brazenly to businesses owned by the host country.

And while they might have gone away with the HITV issue (no thanks to the Nigerian government) and still attempting same with their illegally operated GOTV vs Nigeria owned STARTIMES, I won't lose sleep over this current allegation simply because Stanbic customer base is just a minute fraction of total banked Nigerians majority of whom have realized that these Nigerian e-commerce outfits are getting it so right and getting getting the job done. I personally have stayed away from using south Africa's businesses in Nigeria, prefering to use Nigerian owned businesses instead - I use globacom and Jumia, Kobomart, etc and now that I know who owns Stanbic, it gets added to my censored list. It's even annoying and preposterous sef - putting quickteller to the list. Dem for kukuma include all other Nigerian banks na. Mstcheeeeeew.

dammytosh: In the email you referred to, i thought you saw "temporarily".

- My Opinion.
Really, i think we should just put the pushing and shoving to rest. At best, the arguements on either side is based on assumptions. Time will tell how long the "temporary" is gonna last and by then well know whose view was more apt.
PoliticsRe: Hilarious Photo Of PDP To APC Exodus by ceaser:
Aigbofa: The PDP bus is also missing a tire; meaning it's going nowhere.
Na wah o.
If I could change the cartoon a little, the man at the back of the PDP bus will wear a red cap.
TribalEAST: meaning he will be a red cap chief?

Mods, this man is insulting the ibos. grin
Lol. I was actually racking my brain as to what his "red" cap will mean. Oya mods, ban that guy for subtle ethnic bigotry. Good observation with that missing tire thingy though. grin

gtrust: The Driver of that bus needs 'special training' to be able to drive a bus loaded with Amaechi, Kwankwarsor, Tinubu, Buhari and imagine Atiku and OBJ joining in that same bushuh Either the driver dies from heart-attack on sighting these people or he drives into the lagoon thinking it's ETT!! LOL
If the PDP is smart, they should monetarily induce the bus driver to suicidely drive into a brick wall or an ocean sef. Or better still a **** ***** strapped with explosive to scatter 'em all into smithereens.

ednut1: I weep for 9ja. no party ideology. jst a bunch of educated touts
That's the crux of the matter. Now that a formidable opposition is emerging, structuring a party ideology premised on human and resource development, graft and corruption elimination should be the target of the opposition. They should also conduct a poll among Nigerians towards integrating the opinion of the masses into moulding their party ideology. Nigerians should have a say in governance, and these citizens' demands should be integrated in their party ideologies which the politicians must be prepared to carry out to the letter. Whichever of the cross carpeting dudes should live and abide by these ideologies or put their party's relevance to Nigerian's at risk.
Also, all is still not lost for PDP as now is a time for 'em to re-evaluate 'emselves and re-consider dropping their majorly anti-people's policy that they've netted out to Nigerians for the 14 years they've reigned. They should also entrench transparency, internal democracy, reliability, promise delivery and sustenance of development among their ranks. They should then inform Nigerians of the positive changes. This will enable Nigerians to make an informed choice of what ideologies (and therefore party) to vote for if and when such are needed. That way, parties won't need so much campaign and unnecessary financial stress as inducements to the electorate before they garner enough votes to get them in power.
Aigbofa: Absolutely. How can someone sit in the back of a bus with no tires, and apparently no one in sight to fix it. And he just sits there waiting for Godot. Absurd.
"Waiting for Godot". Have you seen that movie? I've not but I've read some not too attractive comments condemning the storyline.

Psychedelia: I laugh at your myopia and sttupidity, because you obviously think it's a good thing to glamourize political prrostitution and lack of honesty.
Why would an Igbo man be quick to join your bandwagon of greed, desperation and ethical wretchedness? They didn't join your OccupyNigeria misadventure, so I would have expected you to have it in your empty, echoing skull by now, that they are not desperate to dine with the ideology-devoid pigs you idolize.

The picture is clear now.
Well then, I'd say your own joke is on you. Your social and human inclination is clear now. Your classifying the OccupyNigeria as a misadventure speaks volumes about what you are. You'd rather Nigerians continue to live in the abject state of poverty they've been plunged in over the years. If i may ask, where has the chunk of subsidy money ended few months after the SURE-P concept was hastily created? Nigerians for once are happy that a stiff opposition is mounting, something that will make either parties to sit up in their quest to endear Nigerians to 'emselves which'll eventually benefit everyone, and you're here bickering about one ethnic group not joining a "bandwagon". So fighting for what is right is now socially unacceptable? I'm sure many south eastern will not identify with your rather masochistic stance. Dey there na, dey chop the useless food you're being served instead of demanding to be treated as human.
gtrust: As per GEJ, he needs not lift a finger. As always: na God dey fight for him!
Yeah just as God has been doing governance for him. Crashing planes, missing money, fuel subsidy, Oduah-gate, 1 billion Luis vuitton rice and gucci beans, and many more Nigerians are yet to see. God has been doing those for him too. Of course, it's God that'll fight for a kindergarten presido who has since not lifted a finger, doing "NOTHING".

Jokes EtcNigeria's Space Lunar Exploration To Begin 2014. by ceaser(op): 4:50am On Dec 20, 2013
Following the announcement of China's successful world's first soft landing of a space probe on the moon in nearly four decades (Link is here https://www.nairaland.com/1555602/china-build-power-station-moon), the federal government has announced steps outlined in the next stage in an ambitious space program that aims to propel the country and eventually put a Nigerian astronaut on the moon.

Nigeria's space exploration
Unmanned Space shuttle to be named ÒBATÁLÁ 1, the Mythical Nigerian God of the universe.

A space probe on board the shuttle called "AMADIOHA 1" named after the Mythical Nigerian God of the galaxy is to be landed on the surface of the moon remotely guided using from a earth control in Abuja routed thru the Nigerian space satellite NIGCOMSAT 2.

The probe is to carry a ten-wheeled rover called "ÒGÚN", the Mythical god of war, of the hunt,
and of ironworking, ÒGÚN serves as the patron deity of blacksmiths, warriors, and all who use metal in their
occupations. He's the god reputed to have the only implements to perform the task of carving a road through a dense jungle for OBÀTÁLÁ to pass thru.

The camera on board space rover ÒGÚN is fitted with a 500 megapixel exymos CMOS sensor named after "IFÁ", the Nigerian mythical god of divination and a sophisticated and complex geomantic divinatory tool which uses nuts, signs, and increasing squares of the number four to predict all facets of the future.

ÒGÚN is also fitted with a multi-functional, self-aware and defensive robotic arm named after SHÒKPÒNÁ, the mythical god of small pox. SHÒKPÒNÁ is expected to pick samples of lunar soil, gases and radiation to be transported back into space shuttle OBÀTÁLÁ 1.

The power station to be built as a subsidiary of PHCN in space and for the supply of power to the galaxy international space station "MIER" is to be code-named "SHÀNGÓ", the mythical god of thunder, lightening and fire.

PhonesRe: Top 10 Smartphones That Rocked 2013 by ceaser:
Les: in addition, someone said something on the thread about phone accomplishment, he said he made an inter state journey with his phone but he missed road small, that wouldn't have been possible if he used"Here drive" application because it tells you what to do through out the journey and bring you to your destination with voice navigation, very sweet application(I don't know if it's on android but I don't think so) most great applications are not functioning in Nigeria, major disadvantage. For Facebook?? My phone is Facebook and Facebook is my phone, only Lumia users know what I'm talking about. I don't need to type my msg on Facebook, I speak it, my phone types and send on Facebook o. Imagine when you don't want to type, you just read your msg, the phone types and send. I love my Lumia
Can dictation be that used on Lumia, and L520 for that matter? I thought Cortana (Lumia voice control package) is yet to be fully integrated in windows. How does one activate that voice dictation you put up there?

samsard: I assure you there will be similar if not superior apps like here-drive on Play store.
I doubt that. Remember the glitches with apple and android maps of having wrong directions or sometimes showing you places that doesn't exist (these are occasional though but do happen). Since the days of yore, Nokia maps have packaged reliability, near-perfection and ease of use with their Navteq owned navigation. Currently, Nokia is the only mobile that provides reliable offline navigation made possible by this Navteq which is even made better by the voice navigation or OWN VOICE navigation (you can pre-record your own voice in any language to be used in Nokia maps as a guide). This awesomeness was carried over to Ovi maps and now to here maps. Here maps, in my opinion, is still the best on mobiles.

HealthRe: Medical Doctors Begin Nationwide Strike Wednesday by ceaser:
onomeasike: Unlike ASUU members who don't have their own private universities, the doctors have their own private hospitals that they will divert all their patients to and they start making money especially patients that can afford their private fees. Then when strike is called off, they claim to have been on strike!! They better stop deluding themselves by comparing themselves to Phd holders lecturers. There is difference between capital V and cowleg.
onomeasike: Other healthcare professionals are waiting and watching to see what government will give the doctors and they will demand their own or proceed on strike to press for equal welfare treatment. The healthcare is not like university where the dominant and most influential group are the lecturers.it is a team of professionals. Gej government is in trouble unless he reverts to the era when hospital administration is in the hands of neutral professional hospital administrators
No one stops you from owning your own private laboratory outside. And why d'you sound like you have some deep seated issues or scores to settle with them? So now ALL doctors, including the physicians-in-training, in the country own private clinics outside, abi? Then I bet every kilometers in the country has a Private clinic ba. You're simply blinded by sentiments and deep seated blind bias which easily give you away as one of the usual trouble makers in these hospitals. Don't worry, I sincerely hope your requests will be granted. The hospitals will be handed to professional administrators and then you can start having ward rounds too and people'll see how much you'll fair.

revolt: truth be told, these ASUU nma etc are greedy people.

if their strike would affect, the aristocrats, I'd understand.

lecturers have kept our children at home for 6months, not minding they're destroying phrase future generation, if they'd experienced these sort of strikes during their school days, I'm sure most of them wouldnt be lecturers.
So now that they prefer to have their children and the future generation enjoy a better standard of education than they had (which your politicians seek for their wards abroad) by resorting to the one language the government understands, they've erred. Why not try to blame the government that has promoted a state of progressive infrastructural decay in the education and health sector, the reasons for which these strikes are incessant in the first place.

revolt: now these doctors have private hospitals, (which is the sole reason our medical sector is camatose), they'd prefer to nurture these capitalist ventures to the detriment of the govt hospitals.
Is that a joke? Adducing patronage of private (better than government standards) health facilities as responsible for the rot in the health sector? Perhaps you'll ask yourself why Jonathan prefers to tour Germany for medical treatment instead of using the Aso rock clinic or one of the many Nigeria teaching hospitals. While you do that, ask yourself how Mandela was able to get a state-of-the-art medical treatment INSIDE South Africa.

revolt: I've read somewhere that not everybody with good grades in US , can study medicine, Cos they go through a series of psychological tests, to know if they're psychological built for medical profession. medicine isn't capitalism or profit making, it's philanthropy. irrespective of the fact that renumeration could Foster motivation, this discipline isn't a profit venture, same with education.
Well, it's one thing to read and it's another to read, comprehend and intelligibly rationalise the content.

revolt: it's immoral and irresponsible for doctors to say they're not working Cos they want a raise. so let the people die.

so in a conflict situation, these guys can't operate, ie war or crises, they'd probably be asking for raise then.
But it's moral for your lawmakers to arbitrarily appropriate for themselves millions as increments for work not done. Meanwhile, these increments have NEVER been subjected to debate as ASUU's demand was.

revolt: I've come to realise why the blackman never invents or improves on anything, his values are warped.
Believe me, you're a perfect example of the above by your admonishing mediocrity in governance above perfection in societal values and living standards.

revolt: These doctors even with their good paypackages hardly research or improve in medical practices,
D'you know what a health research grant is? The governments of those advanced countries encourage such and it's usually a collaboration between university colleges and teaching hospitals. In simple terms, University (sound Education sector) working with College hospitals (sound Health sector), not forgetting motivation (non-starving, non-hungry staffers) can bring that about. Man, be smart! Ask yourself,is your government committed to that?

revolt: (if not explain to me why people travel to poor India to get better services @ far Cheaper rates). All they want is money, money
By now you should be able to answer correctly the question of why they travel to India (don't forget Germany too o). And did you say "at cheaper rates"? So whose mind is warped now, eh? That's a most ignorant, not well thought out statement ever.

revolt: Beastly human beings
I hear you.

eaglechild: What do you mean by PhD lecturers, MBBS alone is equivalent to PhD not to add fellowship in a speciality.
He's obviously driven by blind bias. I guess when "they" start becoming "consultants", theirs would be equivalent to phd.

Car TalkRe: Why Toyota Camry Tiny Light Is Easily Stolen! by ceaser: 8:54pm On Dec 14, 2013
saxywale: the closest car to a toyota that i can buy in Nigeria would be a pontiac vibe.
Or any of the Lexus brands, especially the SUVs as they are practically Toyotas but in luxury form factor. The RX series share parts with highlander, camry and avalon. Good thing is, they come cheaper than regular Toyotas (RX 300 and RX 330 are cheaper than highlanders and prados of the same year) simply because they're scarce on Nigerian roads and demand for 'em is low which drives their price down.

And like you said, the pontiac is a perfect and sensible alternative. It's practically a corolla (and Toyota matrix) engine under the hood and you're even assured of getting more with less money. The pontiac vibe is around 200k to 250k cheaper than a matrix of the same year and being an American branded car, you get more options and automation (230v in-dash port, 4wd option, etc) than the regular Toyota matrix. Pontiac stopped vibe production in 2010 and the production plant in the US was taken over by Toyota for manufacturing of the matrix.

Another good alternative would also be Dihatsu brand which has been bought by Toyota but it's mostly in right hand drive. Attached is a picture of dihatsu altis version of '03 camry (big daddy) with more options than the regular "big daddy" and it costs less.

PoliticsRe: Reuben Abati Replies Tambuwal by ceaser: 5:53am On Dec 12, 2013
You must give thumbs up to Abati for his numerous attempts at cleaning up these messes that crop up week in week out. His replies to Tambuwal goes thus (emphasis have been added):

He is certainly in a position to know the truth and DEFEND BOTH HIS PARTY AND THE GOVERNMENT............"Even if his party is corrupt"

He should make effort to know that the government is investigating various matters and working on them IN ACCORDANCE WITH DUE PROCESS................."Of course. Just as the fuel subsidy probe, Pension scam, and Oduahgate has been "duly processed"

President Jonathan will not condemn any act of proven corruption................."and the Ghanaian president fired a minister for toying with an idea of corruption. In order words, Abati says you can be corrupt, but do not get caught pants down"

The fight against corruption is ultimately a collective responsibility..............."then tell your Oga to quit being clannish, divisive or blaming the opposition for his own inadequacies"

I think it's unfortunate that a man that is occupying such a high office is talking about body language............."Dude, you just contradicted your statement above of collective responsibility and by the way, is Tambuwal not on point?"

The administration is not going to fight corruption on the basis of mere speculation, or the bad politics being played by some people..............."But the administration played self-preservation politics by firing Justice Salami on mere speculation because he has ideas at variance with your Oga's selfish interests."

Tambuwal should focus more on the efforts of the administration in fighting corruption and comment on what he knows.............."But what is there to focus on when there is nil government efforts in fighting corruption, and by the way, a 5 year old Nigerian already knows what he alleged, so what's so special in what he knows that you know he knows and a 5yr old Nigerian knows"

I've got to know the answers to few intelligent questions in my profession this way. It's a weird thing, but I ensure I write down the answers I got in those dreams immediately after waking up. I later cross check in my literatures and lo and behold, it matches.

Several years ago, about 12 years now, i dreamt once or twice of standing on the podium before a group of people sermonizing and quoting bible verses. I'm not a nominal Christian but i do my best to avoid unrighteousness. By every standards, I'm not a "severely" spiritual workaholic which explains the reason I hesitated accepting positions in the congregation that may put me in the spotlight. I evangelize at every opportunity, but getting on the podium and having to be responsible for the entire congregation is what i try to avoid. 2 years ago. I worked at a town which coincidentally has my branch church. Now there's no place to run as I'm occasionally assigned to lead services whenever the branch pastor will not be around. There are other scary dreams similar to the recants here that I've experienced and have had connotations in real life.

So I have some belief in dreams as premonitions of what to come and I really thing people should mind their dreams.

inforesource: I think most Nigerians take a lot of things for granted. There is a technology made available for us at a very cheap rate but we refuse to use them. I know there is a CCTV wall clock, table, wrist watches, buttons, pen, lighter, flash, etc., available @ a very cheap rate for a measure of security but my people, Nigerians wouldn't get them and use. I sold almost all these products, but I know who buys them for use. It is a pity.

Look at the one I use below. That blue LED light is infra ray, it enables the watch to video at night with voice recorder:

Yahasa: It's a taboo to eat green snake. It's a legend that they spread themselves across a river as bridge for my people to cross and escape from toublesome fulanis that invaded our village.
Na wa o. E don tey wey our Fulham (Fulani) guys don dey cause kasala for league (Nigeria) be that o. #Just joking

ceeethru: d day my wife slip anoda man outsid me, few days time she go die lik fowl.
What if she was rap£d? i. e. against her consent. Not wishing such for you o, but I'm just curious what her fate would be.

Polio: So what will happen if i kill a snake? undecided

Ridiculous taboo!!!
Try it first na. Trying is knowing. grin

Red_Card: I'm from Ndele and we forbid a lot of things. We can't make love on the floor, in a car, boat, ship, air plane, hotel built in water, etc. The taboos are so many that I can't name them all. I regret being a native of that village. Juju plenty for there eh!
Eeya, kpele. Chai! Couples' s.ex life must be really dry and monotonous in that area. I mean, not being able to spice up the moment with adventures and varieties.
RomanceRe: Stealing Sperm Is The New Thing For Single Girls? by ceaser: 11:20pm On Dec 04, 2013
HisRib: Okay, let me explain it.

After sex, they use a turkey baster to take the sperm from the condom, put it in a container and store it in the freezer at their home.

Whenever they are ready to have children, they just take the sperm and insert it into their vagina. I don't know if the method works, but I am just hearing that lots of women are now doing it.

This is a turkey baster:

https://www.oneida.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/1/0/10800.jpg
Well, it just might work. Sperm banks are kept frozen till when needed. And since these women in question do not appear to have fertility problems, thawing and using same turkey baster to get the sperm as far inside as their cervix or even beyond may just be sufficient for conception. Hmmm.

But what if NEPA nor gree the freezes work nau? grin Abeg, I have cold room for rent o for those who wan freeze sontin. You're guaranteed life-freezing as there's stand by generator and solar power back-up in case NEPA strikes, fuel scarcity or fuel subsidy protest.

ceaser: Why can't we still foster this spirit of oneness among the different ethnicities in Nigeria? It's obvious that together, we can achieve greatness beyond imagination.
Babzilla: THE SPIRIT IS FOSTERED AT THE TOP
ITS THE BOTTOM FEEDERS, THE DREGS OF SOCIETY
THAT FOSTER TRIBALISM AND HATRED
You're very right. Just losers like this Junkforce1 grin guy below.

Airforce1: When i was still a little boy, my mom told me son,
don't u ever move close to any woman who z not from your tribe when u grow up.
ichommy: She's now selling clothes at Idumota Market
Abeg, make una talk true jare. I nor like am o.

stagger: Who was using condoms in 1982?
I wonder o.

rman: This was on a movie set.
Yeah, I thought as much. And the product of the union, Clarence Abiodun Peters was also on a movie set nau.

Tinyemeka: They are no longer together. You missed that part? undecided
But you missed the part that said the product of their union - Clarence Abiodun Peters is an ACE and a success in the movie industry. The'd probably have achieved greater if they'd stuck together, I think. For instance, I currently got two topics at the same time on the front page. Thanks to the articles that addresses issues that cut across the ethnicities - positive issues of course.

berem: Shina Peters is the son of Chief Osita Stephen Osadebe(RIP). I heard Osadebe fathered him for a Yoruba woman and he grew up not knowing him as a father. Shina Peters was closer to his mum and his maternal relations. He still paid his last homage to Osadebe when he died as the first son. Shina Peters is therefore half Igbo, half Yoruba. cool
Please is that the true story, cos I need the facts. Please Easterners in the house, what's the true story?

SPEED5: All these naïve igbo girls marrying yoruba men, that's the risk u take- heart break. Yoruba men ar know for infidelity, same as there women. Dumb igbo women
Okay, we don hear. Thanks for nothing anyways.

Orlando Owoh: Shina Peters' music career for a long time experienced a decline after he asked if any girl could stri.p and dance in Amphitheatre, OAU, Ile-Ife. A girl did and Shina was dealt with the students at the show and asked to prostrate to the students. Since then, though not always, OAU students would always demand that any artiste performing in the school "at the level of amphitheatre" must prostrate. The girl was later rusticated. This was around 1991.
Waoh!

berem: Did you also remember when he was booed I think in OAU or UNILAG for being among the musicians who were paid to promote Abacha's presidency in 1996? He wept on stage when trying to perform a song. grin grin
Yeah. His fvck up was rightly treated by his own kith and kin.

ilebaami: I knew her as a budding actress and a great Michael Jackson fan. She was quite daring, elitist and multilingual like many of us. Being an actress then was taking a leap of faith. It was a risky job. Just like when Steven Keshi gave everything up for football. See how big a name he is today.
Anyhow, Clarion was somewhat more up-class than Shina though.
Yeah, I love that Nigerian series - FIERY FORCE - she starred in, as a police officer I think. Anyone remember that series?
