SirJay95Jay: Pls help me,other lines wil nt browse on my 5230 except Airtel.Even when other lines are inserted,it wil always bring out airtel access point for me to connect
You must have the internet settings for those other network providers on your phone before you can browse with their sim. For glo, text "flat" to 1234 and await the settings which you should save. Don't know 'bout MTN cos I don't use it.

Another issue worthy of note, which may or may not pose any problem is changing the priority of your access point in the connectivity menu. You might have to change the priority of the your sim internet settings each time you put in a new sim. Go to SETTINGS > OPTIONS > CONNECTIVITY > DESTINATIONS > INTERNET (then try changing the priority). The steps might require some modification depending on the phone but that's the general steps for nokia phones. Good luck.

Mallamovye: Pls how can i remove kms 9.0 on my E5-00 phone it shows me licence expired and when i try to uninstall it. It ask for code pls help me out tanx
Is that short for kaspersky mobile security? Netquin mobile guard (not netquin antivirus) is sometimes an effective way to uninstall stubborn apps. It removes every file associated with the stubborn app from the phone. After installing it, launch the application and click on application manager (you may or may not allow cloud scan cos that requires internet connectivity), then find the app (kms) from the list and uninstall. Good luck.

Have you tried removing your memory card and then connecting it to the laptop without the case cos occassionally, a corrupt or bad memory card, especially the fake ones may make phones to sometimes misbehave.

sniperwolf: I've done it, but no positive response from the phone
Doing those three key salute is to help reset, or shall we say format, your phone which may help solve the problem including most other problems, especially OS(software) problems with nokia phones. Maybe you didn't do the procedure well cos there's no way you'll do it well without seeing the formating screen. Note please ensure your phone is fully charged before carrying out this formatting procedure. Good luck.

Weak leaders delegate critical issues. Insecurity is critical in today's Nigeria. GEJ is weak. (Na only with UNILAG students e sabi do strong-head! Rubbish!)

Science/TechnologyRe: Harvard Students Invent Electricity Generating Football by ceaser: 3:29pm On Jun 21, 2012
Whymee: Very interesting.

This is just an advance application of magnet moving coil technology.

The to and fro movement of the magnet in a coil generate current at the two end of the coil, which in turn charges a connected battery.

Random movement of the football during play aids the to and fro.

The generated energy can only power a dc bulb of LED LIGHT common in the rechargeable touch, lantern etc we see around.

Some touch light already have this application.

I have such thought sometimes ago, but couldn't push further, I don't even know where to start.

Extended application of such product can be tie to any random or linear moving objects like

A car wheel, doors etc

NICE ONE.
@ All. See? We gat brains in this country Nigeria. We have inventors in abundance and those with novel ideas. But it's unfortunate that while the oyinbo people encourage their own (you hear as dem mention Bill Clinton for dat article na, China nko?), our own leaders for hear dey always dull us with the terrible way they rule this country - if nor be Boko Haram today, na Jonathan tomorrow, Bode George next tomorrow, Allison Maduekwe the day after and Farouk Lawan the following. wont advice on downloading and installing d music player on ur existing belle update. it will screw up the general phone volume level cos the old ''sysapp'' engine aint supported, as in new changes has been made to firmwares that can run the music player. U either use the latest customed firmware or wait a little for Nokia to release the upcoming firmware update so u can have the new player with it bro.
Does that imply that you have a cooked firmware on your nokia device cos my own firmware is the one shown below. Meeen, I envy you with that your music player o. Anyways sha, I'll still make use of the current music player while I await an update from Nokia.

Pls, post the link to these dictionaries. I couldn't find the 'pack' online.
Visit this website - http://www.nokiasymbianthemes.com/free-mobile-applications/msdict-mobisystems-all-in-one-dictionary
Note that you might have to renegotiate the website from the homepage for the download to be available. It's just a measure activated by the blogger to prevent direct posting of his links. It might also be advisable you click on the last download tab viz- "Download MSDict version 4.1 n 5.1 n 7.1 n 7.2 All in one" so that you'll have all the versions handy to try on your mobile - I use the version 5. The dictionaries have a trial of 14days. But if eventually you'll need the keygens to Register and they're not included in the package, I'll upload it with all pleasure.

**UPDATE**

Belle Music Player 17.1 & Above

Few Days back i talked about lyrics displaying on the new Belle music player. If u happen to have the latest version (17.1 above) most especially if you have updated to Belle FP1 or you are using the latest leaked Belle firmware .040 for N8, then u should automatically have the new Music player and it automatically displays lyrics provided the music track is included with it.
WHAT IF MY MUSIC TRACKS HAS NO LYRICS?
If u have an Itunes music player on your PC, just open and right click on the song u want lyrics on. select GET Info and paste the lyrics in the specified tab for LYRICS. click ok and u are done, u can now copy the music to your device.
Dont forget to tap Options on NOW PLAYING screen to show/hide lyrics by default.
NB: there are other ways to add lyrics to mp3 files if u dont have itunes installed on your pc, u can google and get some.
Enjoy Guys smiley
I Degen't get that option in my music player o. The version of my belle is shown in the screen shot. I did the update via Nokia suite about 3 weeks ago. D'you mean that there is another standalone Nokia music player that i need to install to get that feature or is it that the lyrics option only comes up when a "NOW PLAYING" lyrics file is available or preloaded on the phone? Why I'm thinking that is cos the now playing in the screenshot does not have a lyrics file loaded with it. Your response and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Buchika: Please temmy how can i get the full version of merrian webstar dictionary. the one i saw on Nokia vnn seems to trial version
Why not try out MSDictionary version 4.10 or 5.10 (the recent version 7.10 doesn't seem to work with the widely available hacked dictionary modules, though more informative). It's the MSDictionary that I use on my 2 phones. The keygen is included in the rar file which you'll use to Register the various dictionaries. You can even go ahead to install a voice module, although I didn't install voice module in mine. Screenshots below.

hyuga: After downloading belle update via pc suite for my n8, it won't install.. Its stops at backing up files and tells me to reinstall nokia suite or nokia care centre.. Nokia care isnt at Ado ekiti and i have tried it more than 10 times.. What do i do?
I was in Ado Ekiti few days ago and 'twas there that I updated my n8 to nokia belle. I used airtel with 3.5G speed (nova junction area) with speeds ranging from between 60 to 150kbps. The whole PC update took about 3hrs. I ensure it was in the early hours (around 2am) cos you aren't supposed to use your phone during the update, and also the speed is high at off-peak. I will advice you download the latest nokia PC suite (version 3.3.xxxxxx). With the latest PC suite, finding an update for your connected phone should be easy. Good luck.

liyuboy: Hello, i am very angry with Nokia, i used to love Nokia for it durability so after INEC paid us Coppers i decided to buy my dream Nokia Phone Nokia C6 i noticed it will just go off by it self and come back on but i didn't bordered much about until now. i have almost 1O,OOO naira fixing my phone still problem upon problem... the problem it has develop is that it hangs every now and then.... i have reset it back to factory with the code still same problem... i don't know what to do i wish i could get help cos i really love the phone. my serial number is 351504041976768. thanks
Well, I think it's still safe to assume that you didn't have a factory defect phone. Reason why I said that is that I had similar issues of hanging and subsequent re-starting with my nokia N8, although it was not as frequent as you complained. I noticed the hanging started mostly when I'd installed enough apps to bring the C: drive memory close to 30mb from a factory 106mb. But I noticed that the memory increased back to 80mb the moment I upgraded my symbian ^3 OS to nokia belle. The phone response time has also significantly improved and there hasn't been hanging issues so far. Nokia N8 just like your C6 natively runs symbian ^3 OS. So maybe if your C6 is upgraded to the faster and sleeker nokia belle, those issues might be solved.
PhonesRe: Android Vs Symbian Phones, Which Is Better? by ceaser:
dmainboss: Things you can do with and Android phone:

1. Check your BP
2. Check your heart beat rate
3. Check your environment temperature
4. Run a wifi hotspot at home or the office or just connect with usb and use it as your Internet modem. It is a far better modem than the one provided by your phone company
5. Run all kind of softwares from car diagnostics to how to bake a cake to how to make furniture for your home, etc
6. Install apps to your phone from your desktop or laptop, whereever your phone is.
7. Synchronise your browser on your laptop or desktop to your phone remotely. This is especially cool when using Google Chrome for Android
8. Synchronise your GMail, Yahoo, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Myspace contacts, calenders, schedules, content seamlessly. With full OS support.
9. Install various kinds of keyboards depending on your choice.
10. Use dropbox and other cloud services to store your content seamlessly
11. Upgrade your OS easily anytime a new OS version comes out. From ICS 4.0, OTA OS update is now a standard feature for all phones
12. Backup all your software settings and restore easily after a system wipe, upgrade, flashing or whatever. You can backup to Internal or external SD card
13. Customize your desktop(five desktops), buttons, menus and virtually all your user interface in countless ways. I actually have a features in Dark Night ROM that allows me to place app icons in a grouped desktop foldes. Simply awesome!
14. Run ftp apps that you can use to manage you website just like from your laptop.
15. Android comes with SQLlite database inbuilt. That's power right there.
16. Customize your startup screen like on a normal PC. You can even change the startup picture to your own personal picture.
17. Edit your pictures easily and wonderfully
18. Run a DJ scratch machine. Simply cool.
19. Create documents, presentation, spreadsheet, PDF, HTML/PHP pages, etc
20. Manage your joomla site straight from and app on your phone without opening a browser.

Android Rocks!
OMG. Just the way I intend to reply him. But in addition to what you've said -
1 and 2. Heck you can. Just google picobrothers softwares. They even have the one which can turn your phone to a radar to track speeds of moving objects including cars.
I should also ask him if his phone has FM transmitter (not FM radio o) and if his phone can be utilized as a MOBILE MICROPHONE by simply tuning a public address system to the phone's broadcasting FM frequency or by simply plugging in a amplifier to the 3.5mm earphone jack.

3. I'm sure there'll be a third party software to check the temperature thingy.

4. Joikuspot does that just fine. You even have the privilege of setting passwords which you'll give only to those you wanna tether to. You can tether to as many a 10 devices at once. The radius of broadcast, mind you is up to 50meters with obstacles. I've not really tried it in areas without obstacles sha.

5. There's an OBDII auto diagnostic software available for symbian. I've not really bothered myself with it sha.

13. Aside from the 6 multiple homescreens available natively on the belle OS, spb mobile shell as a third party on nokia store has added 3D homepage and icon animation. Cool, isn't it?

14. Have you heard of Live 2 Phone server? FYI, Live2Phone server also enables you to monitor your home on your symbian device in real time video feeds anywhere you are in the world.

17. Dang! Have you tried out the native nokia N8 video editing software with its transition capabilities, subtitling, music embedding? You can even select your editing in different resolutions ranging from 3gp to HD view-able on you HDTV using your AV or HDMI out cable. Wao, it is da bomb.

18. DJ scratch machine? Pffrrrr. Heck, I even create a whole music and instrumental demo on my symbian. You ever heard of TM GUITAR, TOUCH PIANO - all for symbian? How 'bout X-CUBE which lets you convert mp3 to AAC or compress the mp3 between different bitrates, you can even use it as an mp3 cutter to create ringtones.

19. You can do all that on the old nokia 3250 xpressmusic, let alone on the N8. Xplore for symbian enables you to create html files and even create .zip and .jar files. Can your android do that?

20. Sorry I don't know what joomla is, but whatever it is I'm sure the symbian device can replicate it.

And lots more for nokia symbian.....

21. I can control my computer via bluetooth or wifi on my phone by simply watching the computer screen on the phone's screen via mobile witch remote control.

21. An infra-red enabled symbian controls your gadgets (TVs and decks) via infra-red remote control.

22. Use your symbian device to control powerpoint presentations in a seminar via your computer and projector using the app - phonepoint

23. Play any music you're hearing for the first time and allow my phone to listen to it and it gives you every data and info (artist name, etc) that you need to know about the song. You even get to sync the lyrics of the song and enjoy yourself a karaoke.

24. How many android phones are enabled for DSTV mobile? Actually I've not heard of any but as an android fan, maybe you'd educate me on that. Besides that, symbian has SPB TV(with up to 100 free tv channels to watch), AL JAZEERA TV, FRANCE 24 all as apps on the symbian device.

25. E-books and readers, myriads. Java e-books, slovo-ed and ms-dictionary packs all with voice and sound module, mobi-reader for symbian and iSilo for symbian both of which opens the same exact files opened by the computer counterpart of the application without any need for conversion.

26. Don't wanna get sensorineural deafness? Measure your ambient sound level using DECIBEL app on symbian.

27. Are you an electronics engineer or an electrical student, use RESISTORS, an app to help you calculate values of electronics components.

28. A language student or you wanna learn other languages, use SLOVO ED MULTILINGUAL DICTIONARIES, or the less heavy SPEAK FRENCH app for symbian.

29. Nokia maps with voice guided navigation rocks!!! You can also create your own pre-recorded voice as a familiar voice to sync to the map by using NOKIA OWN VOICE app. I have an old nokia N85 used as car phone permanently connected with the TV IN of the 7 inch monitor installed in my pimped 99 nissan primera. I use the maps for navigation, listen to the music simultaneously, recieve calls handsfree (routed to the car speakers), play games, surf the net, read e-books and even print documents to printers via HP ePRINT app on the phone. It feels to cool when guys ask if what you have on-board is a laptop for you to be able to do all that in my car. That sounds 007, doesn't it? Yeah, I know you'd think that.

These are just the tip of the iceberg of the world of symbian. Get yourself a symbian powered device today and HAVE A SYMBIOSIS WITH THE WORLD AT YOUR FINGERTIP.
