Getting N1million in August 20015 ought to be more desireable by an investor than getting the same N1 million in December 2015. Then again, it's optional. One may decide to roll over principal+Int. at the end of first tranche. |

manie: Treasury Bill interest is paid upfront. if yours is not paid upfront you need to change your banker. Your assertion is actually misleading. There is usually option to chose whether to take your interest yield upfront or on maturity, probably you've been using upfront as default, it doesn't make it the other option wrong. |

[i]Retail revolution spreads as Actis, Duval begin construction on Jabi Lake
“In Abuja, there are over 68,000 households with annual expenditure of over $150,000 per household which is quite fantastic. For a retailer and investor, this statistics is quite compelling and emboldening,” the company said.
“We have been encouraged by the strong demand shown by retailers and restaurateurs, who, like us, see Jabi Lake Mall as a landmark destination in Nigeria.” The statistics above caught my attention. That is about #30m/annum we are talking about. How did they arrive at 68,000 households earning that in Abuja? For a start, that is the earnings of senior Mgt staff in blue chip companies. How many of such companies are in Abuja? Even highest level civil servants don'T earn up to #10m/annum. The fact is that Abuja consumer market is driven by the wanton corruption in both the political class an team civil service, where people earn more than 10 times their official salaries via treasury looting. If they use this false projection to make their business case, they may suffer massive lack of patronage when the Buhari govt plugs all the loop holes in civil service as promised, thus people will not have such expected purchasing power to do binge shopping at any price. |

How dare you burn other persons god because u think ur own god is supreme?
If u all can condemn this act, please I don't want anyone to scream fowl when a muslim burns a church.
@least, we have christian religion, islamic religion and traditional religion as three major religions in Nigeria.
If u think ur own god is supreme, please worship it/him, but don't destroy other peoples own.
If u think someone is bewitching u using his/her own god, please, go to ur own god and get power to protect urself from those other peoples gods.
Whatever I said, I said as a law abiding citizen. Who knows the right from wrong, and not a mofo that was blinded by religious jargons.

Toks2008: You just missed it again and apparently you don't even have a clue of what a PONZI is so save yourself the embarrassment of hammering on that word.i would really advice that you get a little bit more articulate when you write and les confrontational.
Nobody is pointing a gun at you to sign up and its basically your choice but when you write to counter an issue do so rationally and intellectually.
Having written all these i will still want you to know that it is not what you think at all and just like in every business even in the regular business, you can never remove the risk factor but you kept hammering on the reverse possibility which of-course applies to every thing including life.
In any form of investment we embark upon there is always the risk factor.
People borrow money in banks to invest and they lose all the money.
People open up shops and outlets just to close up latter
In-fact life itself is risk so you hammering on the fact that what if you don't get anyone is not only retrogressive but very pessimistic and negative. And the best response is if you aree the type with the mindset that you can never even refer at least one person PLEASE KEEP OFF OK.
People who have a positive mentality take risk and they are ok with it. As an online fx expert i have sen people invest good money and they lost it due to personal errors so please stop bothering me about this rhetorical question of what if you dont get anyone to sign up.
You go out to look for a job and i wonder why not sit at home because what is the possibility that you will get a job even if you trek the whole country.
Dude i can not continue to argue ceaselessly, people who have excelled in life don't ask retrogressive questions, they make a move. When i joined i saw an opportunity and i did not waste my time asking negative questions.
If you join with 54euro and you are unable to refer anyone at least to get 1/3,2/3 ore all your 54euro back then you have successfully donated 54euro into the lives of 7people and if you are not philanthropic enough to have that mindset,i repeat, please keep off.
People who even gamble or play lotto do so with a positive mindset even when they know they may lose how much more a program that is neither gambling or try your luck so my brother abeg,if you are negative about your ability to sign up at least one person just forget about it.
And lastly YES it is indeed a cooperative program designed in another mode and not necessarily have to follow the conventional thrift you know. That is called innovation. I'm just doing this to warn the public to beware of the snake oil merchants. You can keep on writing volumes of your marketing pitch. It changes nada. |

Toks2008: I appreciate your insight but next time i will advice you ask questions rather than jump into bias and baseless conclusion.
Before i shed more light lets look at what Ponzi means;Ponzi is another name for pyramid scheme and what exactly is a pyramid?
A pyramid is a mode of business where no matter how hardworking your down-lines are, they can never earn more than you.
In GNLD,TIANSHI.TASLY.VMAX,FOREEVER LIVING and many more we wil agree that the modus operandi is to register with a certain amount and then buy products to accumulate a certain volume in order to qualify you for a growth and to facilitate your growth you will need to sign up people who will also buy product and continue the chain. So just as you asked as illustrated above in bold letterings i ask the same from you "What after registering in gnld and the likes you have no money to buy products or have the ability to sign up new people?" i guess your money is also gone with the wind shey?
Let me educate you dude, the program on my signature does not involve buying and selling of products but its simply a global cooperative scheme where people come together to make voluntary donations to others and your 54euro was never paid in vain because you actually made 6 people richer by 3 and 10 euro reespectively and i do not think if you give out 54euro voluntarily to help people you will say you lost your money unlike other mlms that you use huge money to register and get stocked due to lack of money to purchase products that you dont really need.
Are you conversant with esusu? thrift where a number of people come together to contribute money on a periodic basis for the aim of enriching each other so please see this 54euro program as the same and please check the screen shots to see what i have earned so far.
If you don't understand stuffs please ask rather than hastily jump into baseless and unfounded bias conclusion and in that way you will learn more in life. Peace. And I repeat, the business you introduced here is a first degree illegal PONZI SCHEME! You can't compare isusu to your's in any way. In Isusu thrift, everybody collects the SAME amount saved, at the end of the whole cycle, and nobody is under obligation to sign up other contributors as a pre-requisite to earning anything. I asked you, what happens to my money if I don't get 3 more people to sign up? I have personally done tons of MLM/Ponzi/Wonder banks investments. I have earned money as much as I've lost in all of them, and I tell you, it is what it is. Any non-money market investment where you just pay in more and had to rely on recruiting other people to do the same, with no value proposition in terms of product or service delivered in order to keep the wheels rolling is a PONZI SCHEME |

Toks2008: Let me clear the air on one misconception.
Network marketing or multilevel marketing is a legal, legitimate and regulated business like every other business and in fact it is taught as a whole course in Harvard.
Life itself is multilevel and today we have billions of people in the world all originating from 2 people as the bible made us to believe.
In newt-work marketing you don't start today and expect to make money overnight. It could take years to start getting the dividend but in Nigerians are always interested in short cuts.
For instance look at forex trading,i actually developed a profitable software that can generate average of 10% monthly on your capital but Many Nigerians have always asked me, can't it make 50% and i just shake my head.
GNLD,TIANSHI,TASLY,VMAX,FOREVER LIVING and so on are all legal, profitable and well organized way of EARNING PASSIVE INCOME.did you read that? PASSIVE INCOME(an income you make by the side which serves as alternative source of income and should not be rushed or placed too much expectation on but it keeps coming)
I do not upport the aggressive nature and the canny way some people lure unsuspecting individuals into GNLD and the likes but when it comes to the issue of scanm or no scam, i can tell anyone authoritatively that it is not scam but a legitimate and foermidable way of making passive income if we can only be patient.
The programe i have on my signature is another great way of making over 25,000euro which could take 1,2,3,4,5 years to come but keeps coming as deposits of 36euro in your local currency equivalent into your bank account.
1.Just sign up with 54euro through someone who is already a member which is pegged at 240naira to 1euro by the company in Germany due to crazy fluctuations in Nigeria.
2.Get 3 friends to sign up through you and get back your full 54euro back into your pocket and forget you ever did it.
3.Start receiving sms alerts of 36euro deposit into your local bank account at 240naira to 1euro over and over and over again which keeps coming and coming until you have earned 25,000euro+
Just start it and give yourself like a year and you would have made something tangible to do something worthwhile.
That is passive income. no rushing You started well by explaining that those MLM schemes are legal and then ended up by introducing the readers to your illegal business. The MLM schemes you properly explained are legal because of just one thing; they have commodities you can sell and make some little profit, apart from earnings on your down lines. But your own scheme is called a Ponzi scheme, a criminal activity that is based on recruiting down lines ONLY! What happens is that if i give you 54euros to register, but can't get anybody else to do same, my money is gone with the wind. But mind you, you can land yourself in jail in no time, if you continue on this track. You can read up on the failed wonder banks in Nigeria, or Madoff of USA. |

bigfrancis21: The usage of Igbo in Nigeria is only a recent construct that started in the 1920s. A newspaper of 1924 carries a story of an awka man and an onitsha man discussing over a new unfamiliar name the whites who had come into Nigeria were calling them. And when they prodded the whites further to ask them why they were being called a name they were not used to instead of their clan names as usual, the whites explained to them that because he the awka man speaks a language which the onicha man also speaks and understands then both clans must be related and are brothers so they will be called one name which is 'Igbo'. And they said 'ok'. I must say that this is the very first time I'm hearing this, though I've pondered it severally. It kind of makes sense, giving that the European's educational system commenced our writing of the letters called 'Igbo alphabets' for the first time. It seems you're a Sociologist/anthropologist, giving the clarity of your cultural narratives. |

ITSAWRAPP: Interesting He must approved spendings above the budget thereby increasing the OPEX to OPI Their OPEX is even excusable given that they have been doing some aggressive branch expansion and remodelling recently. I think that can easily be reigned in once those branches start spilling revenues. I was actually expecting a reaction from their CRO, under whose watch their Non-performing loans spiralled off the roof, especially at this time of poor liquidity partly caused by CBN's archaic monetary policies. Their risk policies needs to be re-evaluated because this is the worst time to give unsecured loans. |

Things however went south for the bank after it posted an operating expense of N27 billion (N24.1billion). We also noted that the bank’s deposits dropped significantly by 9% to N1.4trillion Also of note was the fact that the bank lent about 18.7% of its Loans and Advances to other banks. NOTE:The above statement means alot o..Rise in Operating expense will lead to "Job cut" and drop in deposit means that the remaining workers, especially the marketers and the contract staff will have to work their ass off. Definitely, Opex is expected to rise for all companies operating in Nigeria for the last quarter, giving how all our economic indices had gone south since this Sole administration started. The major problem for diamond is actually the huge loan loss expenditure. They have terrible NPL in their loan book and there is no hope in sight for recoveries. Sometimes I think Alex Oti just used Abia Guber race as an excuse to run away from Diamond's debt burden, which he is surely partly to blame |

My annual take home is N3.6m before taxes. I don't know how much mine will be, but I'm tempted to resign and collect one lump sum to start my own business. I'm confused now. Please advise. Are you just tempted at the sight of 8m naira or that you have a TESTED and VIABLE business/investment you want to pursue. I put those two words in capital letters because I've seen so many people sink funds into their hobbies without business plan and it all went down the drain. Once you are out of job with no steady monthly income, you will be amazed at how fast that 'massive' 8m will deplete with time. So, as the common sense goes, look before you leap |
