Nwanne see another format. Guymen have collected their contract fees, delivered on their kangaroo protest and disappeared before OYC discovered the game. I still believe that security operatives should always arrest leaders of any protest group (unless they are well known prominent Nigerians), take their profiles, mug shots and finger prints and then release them, because those information will always be needed in the future. Now, how do you locate these criminals that claimed to be OYC ? |
But wait o. You mean the police is expecting kidnappers to ask for a bank transfer? Please whoever wrote this article should stop embarrassing the force. The much they can do is use the phone numbers to track down the registered SIMs and take it from there. |
Why obstruct traffic to pray thoughYou ain't seen nothing yet. When I was posted to the North for NYSC was when I had a shocking experience with these folks. We were travelling in the middle of deserted expressway, and all of a sudden, the driver pulled over, and without uttering a word, went out and after a while I looked around and seemed to be the only perplexed one in the bus, I asked what's going on and they said, oh, the dude went to pray. Whaaaat? without even excusing himself? I was shocked! Just like that? What if robbers attack the bus while he left us there? |
The fact is that with what the way Islamists are gaining ascendancy in the Middle East, there are palpable fears in the US that these bad guys can make a return to bombing America and as such they need a die hard Christian conservative to defend America. Obama's claim to Christianity is in serious doubt today because of the way he prevaricated in the Syrian issue, which should have been nipped in the board earlier before the massive rise of ISIS. As it stands now, Carson has told the old generation Americans what they really want to hear and that has boosted his popularity. |
unalaoted:Take the job first, do 2years and then go for your masters. Advantages: 1. Gain first level hands-on experience in an organized/Enterprise environment 2. Build a network of friends, from coleagues to superiors to HR, these will prove usefull in the future 3. Since your parents are sponsoring your studies, use the money earned to invest for yourself 4. If you decide to return after your studies, the company will likely consider you with a higher position Oya, I don talk my own. |
This Alexreports sef, You and John fasanu are just busy colonizing all the young girls in Abuja in the name of Pageants abi? What's the essence of all these miss this, miss that? I can see Fasanu is now sampling youngies after his messy public fight with the old cargo - mother in-law to Yobo |
glogirl:I think Gran Imperio is operating with Lekki Gardens format. Keep selling new estates while you can't even deliver for the earlier subscribers. The best bet for anybody doing business with any of these developers is to get a good property lawyer from the beginning, and have all the terms and conditions stipulated, including penalties on default. |
kennyjodeci:Bhuahahahahaaaaa ![]() |
Op now you wanna make me cry once again. Back in the days when NOKIA was the king and leader in early smart phones, I lost my newly purchased NOKIA N72 through one of these formarts- The familiar face grabbing. It happened at the UBA car park, Marina on that unfateful Saturday morning. By the time I realized what happened, the guy has disappeared into the crowd. Anyway, I was much younger and naive to the prank, then. The painful part was that while the N72 was in my hip pocket, I had a starcoms phone in my hands, I wished it was the other way round, so they'll have picked the starcomms. Big lesson I learned from that day- Never leave your wallet/Phone in your trouser pockets while walking on the street, always hold them in your hands! |
Any body that doesn't know Joe Igbokwe will read this and feel that Saraki is the devil, while himself is the puppet of the largest political looter that lagos state has ever produced. His pupeteer, Jagaban is still milking Lagos state dry as we speak, but Igbokwe can't afford to say anything about that. Untill all of them; Saraki, Tinubu, Atiku, Amaechi and the rest of PDP rogues are inside the dock, I don't believe all these rhetorics. Let APC compel CCB to publish all the Governors Asset declaration forms from 1999 let us compare with their current worth. |
Well, in my understanding, Expats are usually skilled professionals brought in (usually legally) by Companies and these ones often return to their home country as soon as they lose interest in the new environment while Immigrants are skilled workers that came in by themselves, legally or illegally for greener pastures. On the other hand, migrants are hustlers- no skill, no education, sometimes criminally minded who are coming in because of hunger and deprivation from their home countries My 2cents... |
MrsPhyno:It's not late. Most of the top guys in IT didn't study it in their first degree but because of the low entey barrier you can join anytime. I went into IT at 300L while I was running Chemistry. Just read up and go for the certifications that interest you. |
In his remark, the Borno State Governor, Alh. Kashim Shettima called for prompt sustainable development programmes in the northern states. [quote]Shetima said the governors had agreed to. Work together to redevelopment the region. The governor urged federal government to develop an all inclusive development plan to really address all challenges of the state and restore peoples’ hopes. “A comprehensive master plan that will help re-integrate the people and seek entire development of the northern Nigeria should be designed,” Shettima added. The above really got me cracking. A state governor is begging the fed govt for a master plan in developing Northern Nigeria. Is there any master plan to develop Southern Nigeria? Anyway, My advice to Nothern governors is to proscribe almajiris education with immediate effect. Enforce primary to JS3 compulsory education in the region and let us see if their lot will not be far better in 10 yrs time |
GodMode:I don'T waste time with retards. Be gone! |
youmour:Now, there's what is called collabo. You can seek out the young man and become his content developer while he transforms them into pictorials and CG images. There's huge money in these stuff o. If I tell you how much we spend to support Super Strikas your jaw will drop. |
Imagine this volume of capital flight! I am yet to see the logic behind this CBN's policy of turning back depositors of FX from our banks. That they caught this guy means that several billions of Fx has already been successfully traficked out of the country, and more will still be moved out in hard cold cash! Why not let the banks accept these deposits with a caveat to report a certain threshold, which is even already in practice. At least we have the money here and can genuinely trace the depositors if there's need for investigation. This policy sounds like cutting off one's nose to spite the face. Can somebody tell me any stronger reason for this madness? |
GodMode:Chill bro. I am not even talking about food preservation here, so forget your cancer-related issues. Do you know that with top notch logistics in place, you can harvest fresh fruits in Nigeria today, and have them in London grocery shops, first thing in the morning tomorrow. Let's face the real deal, Large scale Agric business is beyond market women operations, you don't expect Shoprite manager to carry basket and enter Ekiti or Oyo village looking for bananas to buy. Somebody has to get these things from the local producers, package and label them as necessary, then transport them in a refrigerated truck straight to the shops within specified hours, and be willing to do that consistently! These things takes proper capacity, not by subsistence farming. Personally, Apart from kiwis, pomegranates, apples and plums which we don't grow locally, I will never buy bananas or water melon in a shop when I have them in abundance from local producers on the streets. |
AnanseK:Dude, the statement was from Aliyu Gwarzo, FFK just quoted him. You have access to google, just type 'the quran or the sword' by Aliyu Gwarzo in the search field. I even read up how the man was helping Abacha to move raw cash from CBN those days. So many people in this country that are supposed to be locked up in maximum prisons are the ones airing opinions... and including FFK himself. |
organicfoods:For all the zombies shouting that Buhari has been doing well without having cabinet ministers, and so it does not matter. This is where it matters that you have a minister in charge of finance, trade and Investments because this sort of situation requires a strong fiscal policy that will shift this trade in favour of our local farmers. That aside, I remember that in one of the sessions at Ogun state economic forum last year, Agro-products financing, packaging and export was discussed with a former president of Mexico, Vincent Fox, former PDP chairman, Audu Ogbe, Ndidi Nwuneli, and the Songhai farms CEO were the panelists. One of the key things I learned there is that most of our Agro-products doesn't meet the International standard due to issues bordering on proper storage, packaging, and timely delivery. If Akinwumi's work didn't take cognizance of these critical issues, he may have just succeeded as Agric minister by just proliferating subsistence farmers that has no capacity to compete in the international business. Shoprite is a for-profit business and as such will go to any length and breadth of the world to source for products that will help them maximize profit unless you have a way to restrict them |
oismail:The emboldened is the reason why you are better off as your village baale, and not contesting for a post outside your enclave. Before you put out yourself to be the President of a multi-ethnic, multi cultural and a diverse entity like Nigeria, you must have gone out of your way to get acquainted with all the regions in depth. Besides you have a party structure through which you won elections in all the various wards and local governments of the entire country. You can't excuse little-mindedness |
vfactor:Lovely piece bro. Thanks for sharing. The bold statement is the key to unlocking how to keep your woman glued on you at all times. Every woman needs that attention no matter the age, and husbands should try to keep up. Same goes for the woman, stay attractive to your man, don't retire to tying wrapper across your chest as mama Junior |
Technocracy:Guy, leave that matter. When it comes to international politics, these guys have no religion nor morality. What matters is the economic gains. As long as Isreal can sell their arms and security gadgets and make good money, they can even partner with the devil himself. Go and read up how the US allies with the house of Saud, even when Saudi governmnt is one of the most officially oppressive govt in the world, with human rights abuses that stinks to the high heavens. Have you ever heard America threaten them with the kind of silly threats they hand over to Nigeria and other poor countries? |
The level of snake stories that grace NL front pages these days men! How come we don't have NatGeo Wild - Nigerian Mysterious Slithers season 1 yet ![]() |
Lateralmaths:Brilliant analysis from mahmud, with a very keen sense of history. It's funny when you see learned people arguing in defence of these clear policy mis-fits |
On October 2, 2014, one Aliyu Gwarzo said the following to Pointblanknews: “When I say that the Presidency must come to the north next year I am referring to the Hausa-Fulani core north and not any northern christian or minority tribe. The Christians in the north are nothing and the minorities know that when we are talking about leadership in the north and in Nigeria, Allah has given it to us, the Hausa-Fulani. They owe us everything. This is because we gave them Islam through the great Jihad waged by Sheik Usman Dan Fodio. We liberated all these places and all these people by imposing islam on them by force. It was either the Koran or the sword and most of them chose the Koran. In return for the good works of our forefathers Allah, through the British, gave us Nigeria to rule and to do with as we please. Since 1960 we have been doing that and we intend to continue. No Goodluck or anyone else will stop us from taking back our power next year. We will kill, maim, destroy and turn this country into Africa’s biggest war zone and refugee camp if they try it. Many say we are behind Boko Haram. My answer is what do you expect? We do not have economic power or intellectual power. All we have is political power and they want to take even that from us. If they don’t want an ISIS in Nigeria then they must give us back the Presidency and our political power. Their soldiers are killing our warriors and our people every day but mark this: even if it takes one hundred years we will have our revenge. Every Fulani man that they kill is a debt that will be repaid even if it takes 100 years. The Fulani have very long memories”. So somebody said this publicly and we're still chasing shadows looking for how to end Boko Haram? The bolded is a clear admittance to leadership and sponsorship of the lecherous terrorists gang. FFK please tell us what the government you were part of did to this man after these treasonable statements. Those statements are mind-boggling, and you wonder why APC Lagos connived with these people to achieve their whimsical objectives |
vivaciousvivi:Oh yes. But I can bet that banks will rather not be sitting on a large balance sheet with a dwindling Net interest margin. |
I was searching for info on going to Obudu and this thread popped up. I discovered from Google map that it's closer to go from Enugu than Calabar, due to the fact that it's located at the Northern tip of Cross Rivers. The Obudu itself has no commercial airport. So instead of flying Abuja/Lagos to Calabar, one can just fly Abuja/Lagos to Enugu and save 2hours on the road trip.
|
vivaciousvivi:It's actually the opposite Vivi. Banks are losing money because these assets are IDLE! You can't trade them to make revenue, yet you pay pool charges to CBN for keeping them. Burning your candle from both ends never grows the stick. |
ttmacoy:It's crazy, even some confused people on the interview panel help to spread these lies. Unless a fresh graduate is sure that his career path is aligned toward IT, then go ahead and get the certifications. Even at that, there is also need to focus on a clear path for a start; Networking, Programming/web design, DBA, or Multi-media graphics/animations. Stay on one of these lanes as a starter, along the line, with experience you can decide to diversify, which is understandable because sometimes as you grow in your career path, your passion changes. For those folks that have nothing to do with IT as a career, save your energy from pursuing IT certifications. Rather focus on soft skills like emotional intelligence and effective communications. I recommend Stephen Covey's '7 Habits of Highly successful people' as a must-read for every graduate that wants to get ahead in life. |
Nnaeb:While the idea of going beyond the letters taught in the University can never be over-emphasized, I do not agree with your assertion that one has to acquire technical IT skills to be termed 'computer literate', that will be going for an over-kill. With a real practical skills in MS Office suite, and may be some desktop graphic design tools, one is fully computer literate. Now, for your candidate on the interview line whose degree is in Computer science, that is understandable, in fact, it is unforgivable for him not to be proficient in advanced technical skills, with one or two certifications to boot, but for every other class of job seekers who necessarily do not have any need for these advanced skills, it is a complete waste of money, and I am talking with experience. Let's say for example, one aspiring for the job of a sales executive, customer service, medical representative, and the likes, what exactly will he do with skills in advanced programing and Data Base management on the job? |
I don't even trust the Indians too. Smooth criminals. We need to do holistic overhall of our oil trading. Let us invest more in refining and other ancillary petrochemical products, that will earn us more forex than crude. |
Nice undercover journalism. This is what established media houses should be doing, and not running useless propaganda for the APC and PDP. |
