992finland:Yeah, for married folks. Also if you have kids, you must present their Birth certificates from NPC (even if they are not travelling). |
992finland:Yeah. Travel Insurance is part of the requirements. We did one month covers each. Make sure you have all your Original documents and photocopies before setting out for your interview, also have one passport photo with white background, otherwise those touts at the car park will screw you bad. Common color photocopy they will charge you 1k each. |
992finland:It went something like this; Visa officer: Please let me have your Passports and required documents. So, what are you going to Germany for? Me and Bae: (hands him over the documents, and also prepaid DHL delivery bag for the return of the documents). It's for vacation bro. We just need a little change of scene and we opted for Frankfurt. VO: Ok, nice. So who is sponsoring the trip? Me: The bill is on me. VO: But the balance in your accounts ain't that much though. How long do you plan to stay? Me: Leave that one bro. Na poor people dey leave idle money in their account. My money is out there working and yielding dividends for me (paraphrased). We have two weeks to spend in the Shengen area and I can handle the expenditures (pulls out one investment certificate and hands over to him). VO: That's ok. We will get back to you in a 2-weeks window, and if we require any additional info, we will let you know. (While arranging and stapling our documents together). Please put your fingers on the machine there (got our whole 10 digits captured) MB: All right bro. Hope to hear from you soon. E go be Finish. Exactly 2weeks after, DHL delivered the Passports and documents. We didn't spend more than 15mins in there, while some folks spend almost an hour. But the waiting time na die! For a 9.30am appointment, it got to our turn around 2.00pm. Meanwhile they have one useless Nigerian at the gate that will be barking at people as if he is standing at the gate of heaven.Lol Generally, the questions are based on the purpose for your trip and the documents you presented. |
demospain:Man! That would have been lovely for me as a Barca fan but the city is deep down South that we can't make it within the few days window. Surely on another trip. Now talking about planning, you can plan all you want and a 3rd party will just mess you up. I love buying tickets at least one week in advance so I can select my preferred seat (extra leg room) and all, but this time, my bank frustrated my efforts by not loading my dollar card on time, by the time I bought my tickets from an agent, online seat selection has been closed. Now, it will be standard seat over 7hrs! More reason I need to make more money so I can permanently switch to Business class without punching calculator. |
So, our Shengen VISA dropped last friday, and I just sorted out the tickets, hotel, airport pickup ride and all. Plan is to have a baecation in 4-5 cities in 3 or 4 countries, or just stay in one throughout the period. Lol Fact is that winter is already kicking-in most of the Western nations, so being on the road constantly won't be much fun. Lagos- Amsterdam- Frankfurt- Milan- Rome- Paris- Lagos on the radar. So help us, God! |
Guy, I'm feeling this knowledge download. Please continue ... One question while you're at It- Is it necessary to take the Architect to the site to have a feel of the soil/topography before drawing, or the contractor alone can sort that out? |
It's a very big shame that a legal practitioner and a Governor could not properly articulate the long term impact of this environmental pollution on the people's health instead of making a senseless political statement. This soot cannot kill anybody overnight for any useless APC's advantage in 2019, rather the health implications of this will linger in people's lungs and blood streams for decades to come, killing them gradually if nothing is done to stop it now. It will take every seriousness to tackle this issue, otherwise everybody will wave it off as another political game. |
Al these idiots talking trash... In 2015 elections, APC fielded 3 Northern flagbearers at the Primaries for the Presidency - Boo harry, Atiku and Kwankwaso. If Igbos do the same, both old and young idiots will be running around shouting Igbos are disunited. Ndi ala!!! No tribe is united when it comes to politics in Nigeria, only the kingmakers unite and decide whose head they want to use. |
PrettyGist:I'm sure she pays her Tithes to her Daddy GO, who co-incidentally is the bouncer of their 'heaven' gate. I guess She got no problem entering 'heaven'. |
DominusBen:Go for Experience ONLY when you're still new in that field so you can be well grounded and be able to hold your ground any where, say less than 5 years in, after that go for the raw cold cash and be ONLY available to the highest bidder! Same principle that the highest paid team sports personnel apply. |
Nah... All things have merits and demerits but these are NOT enough reasons to deprive kids of the benefits. What I did for my kids was to download games/Apps and then disconnect the data. So they can make calls/SMS, play games and use valuable educational Apps without getting exposed to the dark web. Have defined time tables for them and set sleep time; say 9pm and stick to it. |
I feel your pain bro... But any businessman/investor in Nigeria must always have your eyes on the exchange rate on a DAILY basis. Investment is a school and we learn everyday, either through our own experience or other people's. Imagine if you had liquidated your TBills when you saw the naira nose-diving, re-purchase your dollar stock and hold, you would have paid a little penalty to the bank and still make a killing from the risen dollar value when you re-convert to naira. Putting your fund in a 364-days TBILLs doesn't mean that if you see the value tanking you shouldn't do something. Alikote: |
This is a nice thread. I'll be in Dubai first week in September, Holla if your plan matches mine. |
Hi Guys. I'm planning for a week vacation in Dubai (first timer) and i need experienced people's idea on how to arrange for tourists sites visitations. Alternatively would be to use some of the tour packages advertised in Nigeria, which is supposed to take care of arranging the various tourists sites trips, but i checked out the hotels they use and discovered they are mostly 3*** with small rooms and poor amenities. They don't have much pleasant reviews on trip advisor by previous occupants. I would like to stay in at least a 4**** hotel with top notch amenities and i've seen some that i really like via bookings.com, my challenge now is how to get the sites visitations when i arrive there on my own. Kindly drop ides for; 1. If i arrive on my own, what are the best options to use in arranging site visitations? 2. I'll like to visit sites like the Gold Souk or Dubai Mall for shopping, the Burj Khalifa building, Dow Cruise, Desert Safari, etc... 3. What are the best rates? |
Very nice article... Some 2weeks back, my fan belt snapped at night on the Eko bridge, cuting off alternator rotation and thus my battery was running without being charged. I had to drive it that way till i got to the stadium and have my mechanic replace the belt. I guess the Reserve capacity was quite good. On the Warranty issue, I'm not sure any of the batteries sold in Nigeria can hit 2yrs not to talk of 3. Since i started buying car batteries for almost 10 years, none has ever lasted more than 1.5years. If anybody has used any bought-in-Nigeria battery for up to 3years, please i need your supplier. cc:obafemee80 |
I must commend you guys for your swift response to requests. Your customer care services is absolutely top notch, and i hope that you guys keep it up. Even when network issues caused my account to be debited twice without my knowledge, you called to inform me, and promptly made the refund too. Please don't let this standard drop. More businesses to you! |
coretechng1:Wow! I am deeply sorry about this. I've been off NL for a while. Please describe your car or send me PM, I'll personally take this up and ensure you get the issue fixed. |
Greedgod:Difficult? Life itself is difficult, but we all live it. Difficulty does not mean Impossible. Believe that you can do it, and seek out the best training options for you. Set your minds on the joys of becoming ICAN qualified and the opportunities that will be open for you. |
joshboss:Forget your Certificate for now. Pursue ICAN or ACCA with immeditae alacrity. Thank me later when you qualify... |
Chai. na somebody papa dem dey shade in public like this? |
Lizzyangel:Sorry dear. Any man that cannot rent his own apartment, even if it's a one room, is NOT READY to marry. I don't care if the family house is a mansion, unless your husband has a different wing in the building that ensures some privacy. |
MaziOmenuko:What about you linking up with him to contribute your better strategic plans? Or better still ORGANIZE your own, the most important thing is to pull the government out of slumber by registering a mass disenchantment to show how their policies so far has destroyed, and continues to destroy all the few economic gains of the past? |
RIP to the dead! Meanwhile did the OP say, 'high way'? Is that how Aregbesola's high ways look like in Oshogbo? |
VampireeM:Just imagine the riff-raff! You can never win with competency in this country. Someone wants to ensure that only chattered accountants sits on your Audit board, to be able to protect your shareholders investment, but you see it as a punishment? We keep shouting that we need strong institutions but anybody that tries to play the rule is whacked for being high-handed? Nigeria is not ready for competency. period! |
jossy26:Bond is a debt instrument used by institutions to raise money from other institutions and private individuals. So instead of going to a bank, looking the the volume of transactions, banks will find it too risky to lend that huge volume to a single obligor. So in plane language, Ambode just borrowed 47 billion naira from the local populace, it's now up to you and I to watch and see if real value in terms of infrastructure Assets creation will be delivered to Lagosians. And Yes! You can profit from it whether Ambode delivers the infrastructure or not. At 16.5% interest rate, it's one of the highest investment yield in the country with little or no risk right now. Apart from MMM at 30% (volatile risk) and TBILLS at 17%, no other investment comes close in terms of Returns. |
I woke up in the middle of the night yesterday, drenched in my own sweat. The only thing that was on my mind is, go and get rechargeable fan very fast! So i searched for reviews because i already bought the Russel Hobbs standing water mist fan from Konga @32k earlier in the year, even though it is not rechargeable, I'm still not impressed with the performance. The number 2 in your review caught my fancy, though it has to be a standing version of it. But the 10-12 hours charge period is a complete minus! I hardly have up to 2 hrs of supply during the day, which is also irregular and i run my Gen from 6pm-12pm when i return from work, so i don't see how i can be recharging the fan after each use. cc: Charpell |
thelish:hahahaaaa... these 'pastors' are very mean. those in the village target mothers whose children are doing well. You can start by buying bulk foodstuff for her, and then just give her little cash. |
Chai!!! Just negodu? Ma owughi oru aka ekensu, elekwanu ihe nwoke choga na otele ibe ya? ![]() |
HardMirror:Lol bro... So just because the blind old man was not healed, you threw away your salvation and ready to blaspheme God? Not so fast bro. I have discovered too, from personal experience in ministry that NOT ALL sicknesses get healed no matter the faith you or the sufferer puts up. Paul had a personal buffet/sickness he complained about. In the end, the scripture says, 'we know in parts, and we prophesy in parts'. Even Jesus once entered Capernum, and the scripture recorded that 'he COULD NOT' do any miracle there. COULD NOT meaning that he tried to do but it just didn't work! That's Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith! Be content with the heavenly glories God has allowed you to experience and enjoy, and leave the rest until we meet him face to face. #Stay blessed. |
Airforce1:Don't mind them. Idiots everywhere! |
