Soon dog owners would be paying heavily in cash or jail terms for attacks by their dogs on citizens.
Only if the dog has not been taking anti-rabies shots.
The only thing the owner owes you is medical treatment.

What a funny incident.
People should stop running away from dogs. Just stand still and be calm, it will only circle you and leave after a while, especially if it is not rabid.
If na rabid dog, you are on your own oo

We have to start showing that Nigerians lives matter, it's a mind game we need to play to build up that patriotic spirit that is already dead.

Car TalkRe: The Best Tyre For Nigerian Roads by cecegorz(m): 5:31pm On Apr 26, 2015
orgy:
Go for high profile/quality tires as listed above by Chynx. I use Bridgestone (japan 2013 manufactured) two yrs now and there is not yet a scratch on the tires even after going Lagos - Enugu severally. my other car came in new with Michelin (made in USA) it is still very sound and smooth even after going 52k miles. these tires are sold in Lagos trade fair tires section.... they range between N32K to N45K and their life span is more than 8yrs. In fact, my Honda pilot owners' manual in page 498, under Tire service life (as shown in the attached pix) specifically recommended that, and I quote, "all tires, including the spare, be removed from service after 10 YEARS from the date of manufacture, regardless of their condition or state of wear"
This is supposed to be the worst case safety scenario..... Then at times I wonder who actually set the life span of tires in Nigeria to 4yrs, when even the manufacturers did not state so, or do we refer to those "China" tires for this 4yr life span?

Please @KA24DETT, cecegorz --- etc pls assist clarify why u change your tires every two or four years. maybe I need to be educated.
Well... After about two years running your tires on these our terrible roads, you notice the threads are already wearing away, you may also have head several punctures added to it. So to be on the safe side, I move them out and move in new ones.
On a good silky smooth roads, tires can stay up to 5years, provided they are still within manufacturer's life warranty

If you love the fast paced life of the upwardly mobile socially connected life with a matching nerve racking traffic at rush hours, no other comes close to Lasgidi, the center of excellence.
If you are looking for a serene environment where you can spend your days in peace, ride your bike or take a walk on the streets with calming greenery and tree shades, while soaking the beauty of the environment, Enugu, Calabar, and Uyo are your best bet.

Every other city falls in between these spectrum

Sometimes I really wonder if Nigerian officials understands how international diplomacy is played.
For the over 10yrs that these guys had been on death row, there are many kora people here with dubious businesses all over the country.
Our operators should have rounded up over 10 of them and keep in jail as a bargaining chip whenever a day like this comes.
Caveat: I am 100% against drug offenders, but death penalty for that? Nah!
CrimeRe: Man Murdered While Jogging In Lagos (photo) by cecegorz(m): 1:07pm On Apr 24, 2015
lalasticlala:
Detectives at the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Lagos State, are on the trail of killers of a jogger who was murdered in the Morogbo, Badagry area of Lagos State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the yet-to-be-identified victim was stabbed in the stomach and jaw.

His corpse was said to have been abandoned in a bush near Igborosun village.

Our correspondent learnt that a 50-year-old pastor, Stephen Hensu, alerted policemen from the Morogbo division to the incident.

Hensu heads the Celestial Church of Christ, Okiki Imole branch, Badagry.

The cleric, in his statement to the police, said he was at a church meeting when his wife called him on the telephone and told him that a corpse had been dumped in their area.

He said, “On the day of the incident, February 26, 2015 around 9am, I left my church for a meeting of the shepherds at Araromi.

“While I was there, I received a phone call from my wife informing me that some people coming from Igborosun village saw a corpse in a bush in our area.”

He said around 11am, he left the meeting for the police station to inform the police.

Hensu, a Badagry, Lagos State indigene, said he did not know how the victim was killed, adding that the corpse was not there when he passed the area in the morning.

It was learnt that the police spoke with people living around the area in a bid to find the relatives of the victim.

Their efforts were said to be abortive.

A police source told our correspondent that initial investigation suggested that the deceased was killed by people known to him.

The source said, “Looking at the corpse shows that the man was a sportsman and he was out jogging that morning when he was attacked and killed.

“He was killed and his corpse dumped in the bush.

“He had deep cuts in his jaw and stomach. Nobody knows his name and none of his family members has come forward to identify him, which will help us in investigations.”

It was learnt that the remains of the victim had been deposited in a mortuary in Badagry.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, had yet to reply to a text message sent to him as of press time.

Why exactly is Punch giving the full details of the Pastor to the public??
This is one of the reasons why people don't report crimes to the police.
Police gave Punch reporter the details and the 1diotic! ill-trained journalist has to put it in the story!
You don't need to tell the world who called the police, 'a resident' is enough.
If anything happens to the Pastor, I hope the family knows who to start with

Rubbish journalism!

If you want to speak on Abia politics, the first thing my Ngwa friends will ask you is : " are you an Ngwa person", once you say No, nothing else you say matters. T.A has finally succeeded in dividing Ngwa people from the rest of the Igbo nation. The Ngwa now feels a deep sense if deprivation, marginalization and injustice, they seem to view the rejection of Okezie an Ngwa son, as the a rejection of Ngwa people by the rest of the Igbo nation.

I now want Okezie to win, cos I fear we might have another Ikwerre wahala on our hands, should Okezie lose. Ngwa people have since passed their elastic limit o, they are now at their yield point, should Okezie lose, they will reach their breaking point, we might start hearing of Ngwa ethnic nationality o!

This is just hilarious!
Is that what is happening there now?
I'm not an Abian but I do have company business meeting in Aba/Umuahia once in a while. If TA so loves the Ngwa guys, why did he allow Aba to become such an eye sore after Uzor Kalu's disastrous outing?
It's a pity how these politicians use crude means to brain wash people. Someone should set those coffins ablaze already!
Let the Abians freely vote a competent person and see development affect everybody, including the Ngwas.
As an outsider, I strongly believe that Alex Oti with his professional pedigree and love for SMEs capacity building is the best bet for Abia right now.

After going through this guys epistle, the striking thing is that he sounds exactly like FFK during his own era of madness.
I wonder how well educated people like this spend time spewing hate speeches that will warrant offering a rebuttal later. The fact that you supported Oba of Lagos when he called for the death of Igbos in the Lagoon shows that you are capable of saying worse.
All meaning people in the country, including Lagos APC party denied the Oba and his speech, yet you are still confirming that you supported him because you too are from a traditional whatever?
Even the ones we call illiterates, Gani Adams and his OPC team don't preach this kind of hatred and bile filled missives.

Sweetguy25:
Which government? GEJs government ends in less than 2 months and the budget is yet to be passed. It makes no sense to pass a budget when your administration will not last for more than 5 weeks. What will the budget be for? You'll be be passing a budget that the succeeding government might not be able to work with. It is better that the transition committee come up with a new transition budget or Buhari passes the new budget by himself.
Or better still, the APC work with the transition committee to adjust the budget to suit their revenue and expenditure plans.
This is the most sensible thing to do, no way the incoming govt. will work with this 90% recurrent expenditure budget when it has plans for quality capital development.
They must have a formidable capital overlay for such projects to get a kick-start.
Besides, I expect them to slash the NASS budget from N150bn to a max. of N50bn, with further plans to make them earn like Perm secs at most in the near future. Those criminals must go and find a proper day job to earn a living instead of feeding fat on our patrimony.

Today I actually got a great news for Airtel subscribers, Airtel has reintroduced new Android data bundle with N2,000 you can get 4GB and with N3,500 you can get 9GB, valid for 2months and 3 months respectively, but it's unfortunate that not all Airtel lines are eligible for this new Android subscription, to verify either your line will be among of eligible/qualified, just follow the below procedure
How to comfirm your eligibility
1.Before you load the required amount to your phone for those Android data plans.
2.Simply dial *437*1# for the Android bundle of 4GB for N2,000 or dial*438*1# for the Android bundle of 9GB for N3,500
3.When you receive a message: “Dear customer, you do not have sufficient balance for this plan”, which means your line is eligible for the offer.
*Proceed with the loading of required amount to your account.
4.But if after dialing the code, you get this message “Dear customer, you do not qualify for this plan”, don't load the money on it because it will not work for that line, but you can always try other Airtel Sims
After you have confirmed that your line is eligible, here are the procedure to get 4gb for N2000:
1. Load your Airtel line with N2,000 Airtime.
2. Then dial *437*1#.
3. You'll be credited with 4GB data bundle valid for 60 days.
4. To check your Android data balance, simply dial *223#.
To Subscribe for New Android bundle of 9GB for N3500
1. Load your Airtel line with N3,500 Airtime.
2. Then dial *438*1#.
3. You'll be credited with 9GB data bundle valid for 90 days.
4. To check your Android data balance, simply dial *223#

Dude, are you current with this?
That is the same code I use to sub for 4.5Gb @3.5k. And my last sub was like 2weeks back.
How are you sure they won't give me the usual 4.5Gb if I try now?

You are funny . What does that have to do with quality. I am talking of the masonry on the floor. Those people who have actually built houses(not noise makers) should have an idea of what those things cost in Nigeria or what Dangote charges for cement compared to elsewhere. For me the masonry on the floor is poor but that is a matter of exposure. The colour is uneven and there are some cracks. also the earth underneath the masonry was not levelled and so it is undulating. The building in the photo is not really in focus so I could not comment on its quality. When I talk about quality I am referring to things like the inability of Nigerian workmen to form an angle of 90 degrees between walls I am talking about the fact that you pay 30 million in Nigeria for what would cost 10 in the US .Somehow people felt a need to bring IBB into a point which was about building materials,Nigerian workmanship and value for money. Go and visit some of the older buildings in the old GRAs in Nigeria or Ikoyi and observe some colonial structures or gardens to get an idea what I am talking about. If you have not grown up in quality you cannot understand it.For many If it is big and shiny "It must be good" for me I am not impressed and I am sure it would have cost a lot that is my point. We don't have to agree but that is no reason for any one like the earlier idiots to try to intimidate me.
I would like to see a 5 million naira home of international standard in Nigeria for the middle class. By the time you spend 100 million and end up with something like this photo then something is very wrong
Immediately I saw the pics, that poor landscaping job hit me, and when you made the comment, I knew that's what you referred to, though most people misunderstood it for the building.
I believe that the only way to correct this poor handling of low technical jobs is to institute a functional technical educations board, enforce all artisans to get certifications before practising.
Whenever I enter a new house/building, those poor finishings stick out like sore thumbs in spite of visible huge amounts the owners must have spent. Sometimes you get into hotels and see floor and wall tiles with open spaces in between, or the white cement plastered all over the tiles. It's crazy.
