Network download speeds are standard measures, Just like you cannot tell me that a tipper lorry rated 100km/hr was cruising at 240km/hr. There is no way a 2G network can achieve that speed.

Below are standard speed for different Networks.

GPRS- 32-100kbps

EDGE(2G)- 236.8 -296kbps

HSPDA(3G) - 3.2 - 7.2Mbps

The figure you are bandying about is actually for a 3G network which y'all know Etisalat is still far from.
So, whatever they paid you to spread this falsehood, better disappear with it right away before they ask for a refund

Well, for MTN, the YIM comes standard when u activate BIS. I hardly even use d icon bc with NIMBUZ or IM± apps, you have a single point of access for messenger, skype, FB chat and all that. Just download either of them.
Be careful on uprading the OS so u don't brick ur BB, always backup first.
The modem option is still a research in progress over here. There's a tether for blackberry app. they use abroad but it doesn't work here yet

Maybe Opera is king on symbian platforms but its too crappy on BB.
Bolt had been great though am yet to try UC

I've discovered that they secretely switch u back 2WAP browser once u launch video stream.thereby charging u per download site.

Go to Options - Advanced options - TCP , then check the box to enable APN n input blackberry.net as the APN. This should work and also make sure u aren't using the wap browser
