londoner: You don't add inches to your height, by asking others to crouch down......lol
I also want to see Nigeria doing well as a country. North, south, east and west.....ALL of us.
no unless "others" are biafrans then I don't mind having them prostrate flat on the ground in fact!
you can say that again. All of Nigeria (minus biafra) is what's up. cool

How come I never see you addressing your speeches to your biafra tribe-mates. like this one -->

Biafra rep: Otu gbawaakwa nne gi, onye nzuzu, amadioha kugbukwe gi. Ashawo, Akwuna, ekwensu micha gi onu. Akogbuola m ya na asusu oyibo, ya agbalaga n'nke ofenmanu. Nwa onye ara, borntroway, oponu, olodo.....,,
hypocritical much?

Desola: ibo pipus, please when are you gonna move to Ekiti to help us develop it so that it can make the financial times list of African cities to watch?
Remember, if you can do it for Lagos and Ibadan, you can do it for Ekiti too o.
Biko nu.
You don't ned to beg. All you need to do is marginalize them. THey love it and when you do that, they will help bring your state, EKITI to the one of the 5 states to watch. wink

flinspiero: kip condeming every man of God in dis country,,sm1 should tel me d real man of God

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpxiCxO5k0g

This meteorologist is 100x better 'prophet' than TB Joshua ever will be. grin He is forecasting prophesying the weather to the exact degree temperature for the whole week. That way, we can prepare by dressing properly for the weather, closing schools, roads and businesses to avoid accidents, or even evacuate a location in case of a hurricane or storm. These are examples of useful predictions prophesies that saves lives. This is why oyinbo people are not believing in God anymore when the scientists make better predictions than the so called "Men of God"

Why can't TB Joshua make prophesies that allow one to prevent disaster? Why can't he mention the location and the day so that schools will close on that day?
What kind of useless prophet of doom is he that all his "prophesies" are for his own popularity rather than for benefit of people.
PoliticsRe: TB Joshua Prophesied That Children Would Be Killed In USA by cfours: 12:10am On Dec 18, 2012
Even me self, my statistical prophesy is that a prominent man will die in America in the coming 12 months.
Don't ask me who or how it will happen. When it happens, we will all see it. grin

I need to start my own money-maker church mehn.

londoner: Firstly....It is IGBO, of which I am one.

Secondly, and more importantly I see this same reaction on threads about good news coming from Igbo areas.

There are people who will post, specifically to play it down or display their displeasure at the news, percieved as good by the Igbos.

You can almost time it, as with what we saw on this thread.

Lets be honest here........both sides have their day with this ill feeling, based on ANY positive news coming from another region, no matter how small.

I must say, as someone who was not born and raised in Nigeria, I see now that in my life time I have met very few actual Nigerians, because they have been outnumbered by Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw etc.

Every one swimming in a sewer and claiming to be clean.........lol

As for me, I am happy about any good news coming from Nigeria, and even more so when it is coming from all corners.....that to me would be an indication that the giant is waking up at last.
so you are not pro-biafra? congratulations. You are a rare Igbo. I bet you must be female.
Trust me, most Igbos will rather prefer to see Nigeria go down d gutters.
PoliticsRe: Ibadan: One Of Five African Cities To Watch - Financial Times by cfours: 6:43am On Dec 17, 2012
londoner: Is Ibadan not in Nigeria?

If there is good news from there, it is good for Nigeria....no?

Also Nigeria does not begin and end with one region, state or tribe.

It is only when all corners are doing well that Nigeria can be said to be doing well.
grin Are you really that naive to think that Igbo people wish success for Nigeria? LOL I think they are wishing for Nigeria's destruction more than anything.

In fact, the 'roaming' will quadruple if naija splits. All ibos will be plotting ways to escape biafra.

RomanceRe: Feminism by cfours: 3:58am On Dec 13, 2012
emofine: I understand that men and women's differences need and should be respected by both parties but why do some women make it their sole ambition to compete with men or be "equal" to them?
I believe we are made to complement each other not compete with each other cool
"Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition" ~ Timothy Leary
Who made you the judge of these women?
The fact that you have an education and are typing here in English is a testament to the work of feminists. Education, learning to read and write used to be "for boys only" in case you didn't know. Women who defied the rule were labeled as "unfeminine" or "competing with men" etc
We all know that just sounds ridiculous today (in the Western world at least) since education is considered a right for both sexes. not just males. Things might still be different in some parts of Africa, I don't know lipsrsealed

I'm sure you or one of your female friends is, or plans to be, a professional. That was also, at some point in time, "for men only." But today it sounds ridiculous because women are free to become doctors or lawyers etc if they so aspire.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-527128/Unmasked-Britains-female-doctor-pretended-man-46-years.html

So before you criticize, read a bit of history.
Oh i forgot, there aren't women in history books...

PoliticsRe: How and Why Gowon Ceded Bakassi To Cameroon!! by cfours:
lol grin grin grin
Igbo people and their obsession with foreigner's land. They are fighting yorubas for lagos. fighting hausas for abuja, fighting ijaws for port-harcourt, fighting cameroonians for bakassi (calabar), fighting ...shall I continue?

The country of Benin to the west of Nigeria has a huge yoruba population. Infact, their capital city is literally a yoruba city yet you don't see yorubas claiming right to Benin land. Rather, we celebrate the commonality between us as kins. we celebrate PEOPLE not land/boundaries. lol culture triumphs political boundary anyday. But we all know the igbos are just looking for financial opportunity or gain (any surprise?) rather than genuine care for their "kins" in Cameroon. grin

besides, why do you care if bakassi is under Nigeria or Cameroon? What is the difference to you? Aren't you supposed to be anti-nigeria? and shouldn't you actually be happy? rotfl the entire igboland will be given to cameroon if you are not careful. cool
i pity the poor calabar folks that have to deal with you Igbos. I wonder how all of a sudden, calabars have become Igbos all because of land greed. hahaha

Abagworo: Why then are they not interested in Jos, Kaduna,Zaria, Funtua, Ibadan, Ogbomosho, Ilesha, Ikirun, Ijebuode, Ife etc? The truth remains that you people are scared of non-existent Igbo domination. We buy lands to build anywhere we live because we don't like being tenants and not because we want to take over your land. Anyway Lagos is not really an all Yoruba enclave, hence Lagos natives have the exclusive rights to say anything about Lagos. As an Igbo man from Imo State, I cannot claim Onitsha or Port Harcourt. Maybe if the discussion is about Igbo in general, I could. This discussion is about Lagos and not Yorubaland.
well, remember Ghana must go. The foolish ones were probably the ones who bought property in foreign land and didn't sell it back quickly enough.
if the indigenes become frustrated with you to a breaking point, they will simply... lipsrsealed
I'm sure you people love to recount stories of how you were kicked out and lost your "properties" during the biafran war. LOL they kicked you out? no kidding shocked what!? why would they do such a thing to Igbos tongue

The truth remains that you people are scared of non-existent Igbo domination.
what!!?? you lie.
Igbo domination is non-existent? So all these igbos are only making mouth?
well, keep making mouth and boasting all the way to your graves. You get what you deserve when you try to incite fear into people's minds wink
humility is next to godliness.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Presidency Not Feasible In 2015 – Junaid by cfours: 7:11am On Dec 09, 2012
COOLDUN: Now I understand your question very well my dear, you are right that Zik was the first president of Nigeria and the first indigenous Governor general of Nigeria as well, but the fact remains that his presidency had nothing to do with power, it was just like our present day Vice President, who have no constitutional power to act while the President is in the office, healthy and active. Then Prime minister of Nigeria had all the political and constitutional power as the present day President of Nigeria. I am not challenging your intelligence my dear, I only let you to know that Zik had no much power to do what he is blamed of, though he was worldly respected because of his intellectual qualifications, but the British colonial masters who were not happy of the independence of Nigeria, handed over the leadership to the people they could remote and influenced.

For your information, Zik never ruled Nigeria, he was a mere ceremonial president, the power was on AbuBakr Tafawa Balewa who was then the Prime Minister. But from your comment I never got your question at all.
Power is never given, my dear. Power is taken.
If you are given the opportunity to be president of a country and you are lamenting that you don't have any power. then maybe you are a wimp who is sitting around waiting for someone to hand you power. rotfl if your Zik chose to be a puppet rather than a leader, then what concern me? It was his CHOICE. your tribe needs to stop whining and finger pointing for once and start taking responsibility for yourselves.
PoliticsRe: Lagos And Abuja Should Be Made Seperate Regions - Mike Akhigbe by cfours: 6:35am On Dec 09, 2012
Igbo people's obsession with Lagos and Abuja will never end grin covetousness is part of their genetic makeup. their mouths water at the sign of anything that is not theirs.

He also translated the english bible into Igbo for the first time.

NRI PRIEST: I know you are not refering to the Igbo as "lazy"!
they are lazy when it comes to self-responsibility.
you don't credit others for your accomplishments after all. so why always credit others for your failures?
you are mostly an irresponsible tribe. no one can take you seriously.
