tutu= cool/cold (adjective, adverb) otutu = cool/cold (noun) gbona= warm/hot (adjective, adverb) igbona =warm/ hot (noun) I don't know where "itutu" comes from. maybe it's a misinterpretation or an old Yoruba word that's no longer extant. |

alj harem: The Yorubas have set up a committee which inculded the kwara, edo and kogi (I am sure Itsekiris we join in) It included representatives from yoruba speaking parts of Kwara, Edo and Kogi states. we have no control over the hausa parts of that states neither should we want it. I like the analogy of the trojan horse that a poster used on a different thread. why would we want to include hausas representatives in a yoruba-centric committee? |

Beaf: Did you see kids voting in any other part of Nigeria or grass now growing in your head? The deception those kids represent is what the core-North calls its huge population. Kids make up between a quarter and half of core-Northern voters, Chadians, Nigeriens, Camerounians, Sudanese etc make up another quarter at least. What this implies is that we can cut the official census figures of the North by half (at least) without shaking. at least it's more creative than the ballot box stuffing tactic used in iboland. |

former Ghanaian president Busia's Aliens Compliance Order of 1969 led to the deportation of over 300, 000 Nigerians mostly Yorubas, In 1983, Nigeria deported up to 1 million Ghanaian and other African immigrants when Ghana was facing severe drought and economic problems, So do me I do you, God no go vex,
The last chapter has not been written yet, in this deportation saga, YUP. very correct. Ghana deported Nigerians first and then we retaliated. |

mostly nigerians at home. ex. yahooze scams, niger delta problems, boko haram problems etc
nigerians abroad are not plenty enough to affect the country's image that much. although they are just as troublesome. for example, most foreigners can't even tell a Nigerian from a Liberian when they meet one. |

A word is enough for the wise. and what exactly will I be doing in Kano, if I may ask? Olodostein: Yoroobas(especially the men;so feminine in thoughts and posture) always running their mouths stupidly and insensitively without thinking. these same men have all your women drooling like dogs so they must be doing something right. yea my comment there was a bit insensitive and I apologize but I think your tribe is the most insensitive. your people have no diplomatic tact whatsoever and it's evident all over this website. sometimes you are d ones who ask for it. |

I cannot quarrel with this at all although the comment was sensible, we all know Fashola's agenda there was political. ie to yab the rival PDP members (see quote below) The day did not end without exchange of fire among some of the leaders belonging to different political parties.
The exchanges became very hot when Governor Aregbesola blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for destroying the core values of the South-West and taking the zone light years back when it ruled the country for eight years. |

If you guys are right that Igbos truly yearn for Biafra, then they sure have a strange way of showing it. They are fvcking apathetic. Xcuse my lingo. We Nigerians are not seeing any signs that you ppl really want Biafra. Maybe there's a secret understanding that Igbos will keep quiet about Biafra and suddenly spring a surprise attack and blitzkrieg! No? That's a very smart strategy but I don't think that's the case here. Igbos are simply indifferent, sorry. imagine all the ibos flocking to the north despite the threat of boko haram. talkless of the ones flocking to lagos and its environs. the reality is that majority of ibos are just not into biafra |

lagcity: Lies! Lies! Lies! Your Biafran Mama Put said over 90% of Nigerians say Nigeria should remain as one. Either Igbos are less than 10% of Nigerians or Dr. Iweala is a liar.
MASSOB is over 10 years old now and hasn't been embraced in Igboland. That's another indicator of your readyness and wish to leave Nigeria. Believe it, Igbos who want Biafra are fringe elements and that really sucks for them. They need to come out from the cold and embrace their Igbo brothers and sisters or find a way to convince them.
Universities are very good indicators of political temperature. Go to any university campus in the East, they are indifferent. Whenever MASSOB members get arrested, these students don't even hold a beer parlour discussion talk less of a protest. You will not find one Igbo student wearing Biafran or MASSOB t-shirt. In the 60s and 70s, we all know how ppl were enchanted with the black movement by the Afro trend and chants of "I'm black and i'm proud!" Let's face it , the new Igbos are indifferent. Even if we go through past interviews of Igbo leaders (PDP and APGA), 9 out 10 wants Nigeria. . . and that sucks for Biafrans. There's hope for Biafra of the Mind But i'm sorry you have a lot of convincing to do among your fellow Igbos if you want real Biafra. Gbam!!! Dede1: What has Ojukwu’s inability to garner electoral victory in a skewed Nigerian election got do with Niger Delta or Biafra or Republic of Igbo land? Nnewi people closed markets because of the burial of Ojukwu and would even go to war if Ojukwu commanded them to do so yet Ojukwu was defeated in Nnewi Senatorial election for the seat of a senator.
Call for arms to defend oneself, honor of family and defeat a real aggressor is different from call to cast vote. of course he's dead. why won't they close market to celebrate. who in their right mind will vote to live under a despotic leadership. rotfl Imagine their so called "hero" licking IBB's boots in the north because his own people will not support him. |

Abagworo: 3. To the best of my knowledge Biafra is not synonymous with Igbo and that is why most learned Igbos prefer using "Republic of Igboland" in its place. Biafra means the former Eastern region which includes non-Igbo States of Rivers,Bayelsa,Akwa Ibom and Cross River. Republic of Igboland is strictly for Igbos in the Southeast and Igbos in Rivers and Delta States. then I presume you to be the only "learned igbo" on this website. have you asked yourself how many ibo people are actually in favor of this so called "republic" of yours? what survey, referendum or research have you conducted? |

Imagine, Ojukwu couldn't even carry up to 3 states in his region when he attempted to return to politics on the local/state level. His own people would not support him!! The only power he ever had lied in brutal force and force alone. who wants that? of course he's dead now and we can all celebrate him as a hero |
Politics › Re: Biafra Minus Niger Delta by cfours: 1:35am On Mar 07, 2012 |
if we do a simple referendum today in iboland, I will wager that less than 30% will support biafra. in the non-ibo speaking SS regions, less than 3% will agree to go with biafra.
all the noisemakers on this forum are just that. noisemakers. you can never force people into biafra. That's a main reason why Ojukwu failed in his attempt. he thought of himself as Lord over the SE as if the people have no brain of their own to decide what they want. tens of million silent majority paid for the crime of the loud mouthed minority as always.
I fear the whole dark episode may repeat itself again if we refuse to learn from our past mistakes. and this time, it will be 100x worse. |

Olaolufred: Its funny that people are day-dreaming when speaking what they wish. It is not in control of Dede to determine the North's fragmentation. his post did provide some comical relief I must say hold a public referendum in Iboland today and I bet not up to 30% will be in support of Biafra. even less than 5% will support it in non-ibo SS region. Even their dictator Ojukwu upon returning to Nigeria tried to get into state politics many times but his own people will not even support him. He couldn't carry up to 3 SE states in a common election!! Of course he's dead now so we can now call him a hero. rotflmao What we have here is a problem of rabid vocal minority who wants to shove biafra down everyone's throat. it will have to happen violently and we know who the victims will be again --the silent majority of ibo people. they are always the ones who bear the brunt of the loud mouthed fools' aggressions. |
