davidylan:well that's because the married ones don't have to deal with single guys with lofty expectations like yours and especially Moremi's. if you look through the thread you will see the difference between the bachelors' comments and the more realistic married men's comments as well. where do you think you will find a 24 yr old wife who is a doctor, cooks everyday, is extremely beautiful and fashionable, good christian and born again etc etc. of course you shouldn't expect me to be less than amused by that ![]() even if such women existed, what kind of men do you think they would go for? FYI: ThiefofHearts might just be your future wife. you never know. |
^ lol my mistake ![]() |
what's a topic like this without pictures? |
nice. and at least they did it while he's still alive. |
davidylan:\says the miserable old bachelor. |
Thank you most high for a blessed Sunday! |
I don't even listen to rap and hip hop so, NO. but I don't have any problem with those who do. |
^ na wa o My mum is a successful businesswoman and she loves to cook.yeah. businesswoman aka former housewife. plenty women like that in naija whose husband open shop for them after the kids are grown. nothing wrong with that. but for a guy who wants "preferably a lawyer, engineer, doctor or accountant" be ready to do share in the housework, childcare and/or cooking duties. otherwise, I truly have no words for you other than hire a maid or prepare for divorce. |
Some of you guys really need to go find yourselves oyinbo wives. na sandwich and hamburger helper you go eat tire. moremi2008:Shut up. nothing wrong with a wife cooking and cleaning after her husband and children everyday as long as she is a full time housewife or has a househelp. but we all know that is not the situation abroad. women work and earn just as much as the men so something has to give. unless u go for an illiterate girl in the village of course. and even then, eventually, her eyes will open. |
davidylan:I personally will have no qualms cooking for my husband everyday as long as he makes a very very very very decent income and I am a full time housewife. In fact, I won't mind cooking the most fanciful meals everyday and scrubbing the bathroom twice a day. get rich and marry a wife to stay at home. then your fantasy may come true. you hear? otherwise, you may find yourself eating processed iyan and left over stew 4 times a week. women are not machines to work equal hours as men and still have to come home to work 2nd unpaid job. |
sad |
God will not accept an half-hearted offering or tithe. So if you find your self grumbling or feeling the hole in your pocket after paying tithe, then you shouldn't be paying because you might actually be committing a sin. Of course some pastors won't tell you this because they always want your money. |
Prayer is the key prayer is the key prayer is the master key Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer prayer is the master key Oh lord my God how excellent is your name in all the earth how excellent is your name who is wonderful? it's Jesus who is wonderful? it's Jesus Shout Halleluyah Halleluyah Should Halleluyah Halleluyah |
coogar: how so?you are just too messed up. how is this different from human trafficking? |
^ don't bother reading it. it's a pointless, alarmist article. it mostly talks about mail order brides (aka men going home to find cheap, subservient wives and then coming back to US to realize that nothing comes for cheap). na today? those kind of marriages have always and will continue to fail. |
Sagamite:The only time I crave marriage is when I crave children or having a family. there is such thing as "child bearing age" after all. beyond that, it's really not much of a big deal. I'm yet to meet a 45yr old man claiming to enjoy his "single years" whereas there are many women of that age who have experienced marriage and gotten out of it (women almost always initiate the divorce). women after divorce feel liberated men after divorce are in a rush to remarry! really says a lot about who is benefiting most from marriage. |
the "village chief" story sounds like a scam to me. why would a guy have his american green card and still be scared of a village chief trying to force him into marry a stranger. advice to you is: don't let him travel to nigeria by himself. make sure to go with him otherwise,. . . |
ThiefOfHearts:funny you are the first and only person on this thread to mention this well known fact. men really do indeed benefit most from marriage. |
obowunmi:ok so you also knew the reason for your problem. all you needed to do was rectify it. |
now I just feel bad for that woman that may end up as OP's wife Unless it's our lovely $20k handbag carrying Daisy Danjuma of course. and just for that wedding occasion, I will make sure to buy the society papers (is that what it's called?). |
Mobinga:yea this is what I was going to say as well. piratebay executives have been arrested and are in jail. Only time will tell when they will shut the site down. |
moremi2008:this is coming from a guy who is talking about having an extravagant wedding that will be the talk of the town and featured in society pages. una get similar tastes. why are you in denial? better propose fast before the "ikoyi boy" snatches her away from you. |
ok i see your problem has been solved since then. obowunmi: |
well I thought you were in the US based on this part of your post: Coming to the United States for a better life, may have just cost me something I have never imagined – my identity.hmm things are a bit more complicated now. how can you live in nigeria, surrounded by nigerians and claim not to have a nigerian identity. i'm scratching my head here. maybe you need to move to a different part of nigeria among people you fit in with. are your friends nigerian? the church thing also, maybe you want to start working on your spirituality. you speak yoruba and hausa; and have a igbo accent. hahaha funny ![]() |
do you attend a nigerian church/mosque? do you affiliate with a nigerian community around you? (related to first question) when was the last time you attended an owambe party? what percentage of your facebook friends are nigerian? when was the last time you saw a nollywood movie? when was the last time you visited Nigeria? and how often do you go? can you speak pidgin or any native languages? is your spouse (or partner) nigerian? how would your non-nigerian friends describe you? will "nigerian" be in the description? do you listen to nigerian music? who are some of your favorite artists? what is your relationship like with your parents? do you have a nigerian accent? if you don't, what accent do you have? do you have plans to relocate permanently to nigeria? etc answer truthfully and honestly and I will give you a grade on your nigerian-ness? |
a part of my heart just died ![]() I just downloaded stuff from there yesterday. what is this world coming to? |
you are not serious at all. how long ago was 1998? I think you are the one who need to check yourself here. I was starting to see from your point of view (about the extent of abacha's looting) but now i definitely take back my words especially with that nasty condescending attitude of yours. |
GenBuhari:his was a reign of terror that I pray Nigeria will never witness. ever again you must be related to him. are you his kith or kin? |
