All these naijeerians saying that her pregnancy is fake, is it that you people believe that rich people can’t get pregnant or is breeding like fowls only meant for you poor people? Am I missing something here?

SAN FRANCISCO — On Thursday, Apple became the first U.S. company to ever reach a $1 trillion valuation.

While Apple CEO Tim Cook said it's "not the most important measure" of the company's success, the tech giant is now in a league of its own, standing tall above its Silicon Valley neighbors worth a measly few hundred billion.


So just how much is one trillion? And what could that amount of money buy?

For starters, let's spell that out. It's a 1 followed by 12 zeros: 1,000,000,000,000.

If Apple was a country, it would be the 27th richest, just behind Pakistan and ahead of Malaysia, according to the CIA World Factbook.

With that kind of cash, Apple could buy one billion people a $999 iPhone X and still have a billion dollars left in the bank.


Or Apple could give all 325 million people in the United States a check for $3,076.92. That's enough money for everyone to buy a top-of-the-line MacBook Pro and still have a few hundred bucks to spare.



Apple could also help erase a massive chunk of student debt. Americans hold more than $1.52 trillion in student loan debit right now, according to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

Or Apple could choose not to give it all away and, instead, have some fun buying anything it wants with its trillion dollars.

Apple could buy Microsoft founder Bill Gates' $125 million Xanadu 2.0 estate in Medina, Washington — and 8,000 other swanky homes just like it.


Apple could also buy the world's most valuable sports team, the Dallas Cowboys, for $4.8 billion, which might as well be pocket change. They don't have to stop there. Apple could buy every team on Forbes' list of the 50 most valuable teams, all for a bargain price tag of less than $140 billion.

Or they could scoop up two other tech giants: Amazon and Netflix would go for around $1 trillion, but they'd have to act fast. Amazon, currently valued at around $879 billion, is widely believed by analysts to be the next company that will join the trillion-dollar club.

Other large companies are close to Apple’s valuation, but none has hit the milestone. Google is currently worth around $852 billion and Facebook about $508 billion. Other legacy brands don't even come close, with Coca-Cola at $198 billion and Ford at $39 billion.

Patrick Moorhead, principal analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, said Apple's challenge will now be to keep up its momentum by winning big in new markets and continuing to innovate.


"The company captured almost all of the smartphone device profits in the industry and reset the definition of what a smartphone is," Moorhead told NBC News. "Apple's biggest challenge going forward is to maintain its lead."

To those complaining that the same type of businesses are shown severally, you do get that there’s only so much you can do with 100k right? Frankly a couple of those businesses even require more than 100k to start.

First, is there a specific amount of money I'm expected to carry with me as I would rather travel light without much cash at hand. Second, my sponsor would be sending my school fees via western union before resumption date. Is that okay?

Hey guys. Nice work here. I'll be traveling on an f1 visa soon. My school is in New York and resumes on the 18th but I'll be arriving on the 5th in JFK airport. I plan to take a trip to California from JFK on a short vacation of sorts (about 10 days) before returning to New York pending resumption date. Is this something I need to tell the officer even if he doesn't ask?

Hello guys. When you pick up your visa after it has been approved, is there any other envolope included or is it just your passport with the stamped visa page? I saw somewhere on a website that you are required to present an envelope with some immigration documents at the POE.

Good day people. I am set to travel to the States by January to attend a community college in New York. I will be going by Turkish airlines. In the case that I do not pay my school fees before going will I encounter any issues at the US PoE? In other words is a school fees receipt required for admission into the US?

I'm in my early 20s. Also, I forgot to include the fact that my program is a one year program. Will that make the official at the POI question why I booked a one way ticket?

Firstly it would have been nice of you to post a transcript of how your interview went so others can learn a thing or two just as you have learnt

secondly yes a one way ticket is perfectly fine. i dont think anyone would ask you at POE if you paid your fees so on that paying part is fine as well. if asked you just explain that the balance would be paid soon

Thank you very much. My date of interview was August 24th.I think mine was the longest interview ever. My transcript goes thus:
The VO was a young man, well built with beards.
Me: Good Morning
VO: Morning. May I see your passport?
Me: Sure (hands him passport and i20)
VO: (Regards passport for a good while and types on his computer) What do you intend to study in the US?
Me: Human Services
VO: What are some courses you will be taking in your first semester?
Me: (States courses)
VO: Why did you choose Erie Community College?
Me: I choose ECC because it is located in New York and I have always told myself that if I am to school in the United States it would either be in NY or Michigan
VO: Why Human Services?
Me: Because it is related to Psychology which is my intended program of study at Buffalo State University. I intend to transfer my credits to Buff state to study Psychology and I decided to start from a community college in order to save cost....
VO: (cuts me short) Why Buff State?
Me: I have always told myself that if I am to school in the US it would be in either University of Michigan or Buffalo State University. I settled on Buff State because it is located in New York, is one of the most highly credited Universities in New York and is a very diverse University with people from different cultural and social backgrounds.
VO: Why do you want to study Psychology?
Me: Well psychology has always been a passion of mine. I have always been very interested in the human mind, how man thinks and reacts to situations. I actually got admission in a Nigerian University some years back but due to the fact that it wasn't psychology I lost interest in my first year and dropped out. Goes to show how passionate I am about the course.
VO: You are so passionate about psychology so you must know some basic things about the program.
Me: Oh yes I do. (I went on to give a beief explanation about id, ego and super ego)
VO: Have you ever travelled outside of Nigeria?
Me: No I have not.
VO: Okay.( Begins typing for over two minutes while I could literally feel my heart in my throat out of tension. After a while he keeps my passport aside and hands me my i20 and a white paper) Congratulations you are eligible for a US visa. Your visa will be ready for pick up in three days...bla bla bla
