You can fill in UNIPORT or UNIUYO. Uyo to Port Harcourt is just a 2 hour journey. Since they are both Federal Universities, you'll have to read twice as hard as you are reading currently to gain admission because Medicine & Surgery is a professional course. As such, the are so many candidates who always fill it in yearly. My number is on my signature. You can drop me a whatsapp message so we talk more on this. |

davskioppy:She's eligible for admission into any programme in the Faculty of Arts (example: Theatre Arts, Communication Arts, etc) in UNIUYO. http://www.uniuyo.edu.ng/faculties.php?fac=2# 16 With atleast a Pass in Mathematics, she's good to go. English Language and Literature in English are compulsory though. I think she can also be admitted into some programmes in the Faculty of Education in UNIUYO. UNIUYO is easily accessible as it is in the heart of the town. School fees are quite affordable. |

Please you guys should just stop all these. Your actions depict immaturity. I've noticed that so many people come here just to point out grammatical blunders made by others. There are better ways of correcting people's mistakes. There is no need coming here to create problems for yourselves and others. Let's learn to embrace peace. This thread was created to disseminate vital information about UNIUYO. We can learn a thing or two from others in here. Once again, let there be peace in here. Thank you! |
Wow! What a cool story The OP has 47 "likes" and 23 "shares". To analyse your story, let's look at it this way. . . Step 1: Let your "likes" be X, and your "shares" be Y Step 2: Find the sum of X and Y ===> 47+23 = 70 Step 3: Comment on your answer Assuming the OP's story were to be a course in the University, she would have made an "A" grade. Since her "likes" - 47, would serve as an Exam Score, while her "shares" - 23, would be her Continuous Assessment. In conclusion, the OP's story having been graded as an "A" means that her marriage would be a success. Happy married life to you, Sister! |
Segipaul:Wow! Thanks a wlole lot, brother |

Hello wonderful people on Nairaland! I just saw this on my facebook page so i decided to share it. I therefore call on the Moderators to please move this to its rightful section if i'm posting it on the wrong one. Enjoy yourselves! In Indonesia Female Police Recruits To Undergo Virginity Test Isaac Dachen | 13:36 | 19.11.2014 In Indonesia, female police recruits must undergo virginity tests before they are accepted. These female officers must undergo virginity tests before recruitment. (Indonesian Police) There has been widespread condemnation to a new law in Indonesia which makes it mandatory for female police recruits in Indonesiato go for a virginity testbefore they could be accepted. Married women though, are not eligible to join the police in that country. The Indonesian National Policewebsite lists the health requirements for female recruits, listing virginity as one of the requirements: In addition to the other medical and physical examinations. Women who want to become policewomen are to undergo a virginity test. Policewomen must keep their virginity. Overall, the medical and physical examination has two main objectives: * The first one is to make sure that the candidates' health and physical condition will not harm them when admitted into police force. * Secondly, it is to make sure that they do not possess any communicable diseases that will not allow them to perform maximally as trained police personnel. As to the examination of the virginity, it is just a part of the whole medical and physical test, not intended to solely seek for the virginity condition. Or it can not be put in a perspective for the sake of finding out the virginity, instead, it is for the sake of the completeness of medical and physical examination. But the Human Rights Watch has condemned what it calls invasive virginity test for female police recruits, calling it 'painful' and 'traumatic,' as they were subjected to thorough medical tests that included examination of Instruments. A HRW report says they interviewed several female officers and applicants, as well as police medical and recruitment staff. They also say they spoke with a National Police commission member. The report describes the test, administered by Police Medical and Health Center staff in police hospitals in the cities of Bandung, Jakarta, Padang, Pekanbaru, Makassar, and Medan, as 'discriminatory, cruel and degrading.' One recruit interviewed by HRW for the report said: "Entering the virginity test examination room was really upsetting. I feared that after they performed the test I would not be a virgin anymore. It really hurt. My friend even fainted because... it really hurt, really hurt". Do you think Nigeria should adopt these tests as well? http://pulse.ng/gist/in-indonesia-female-police-recruits-to-undergo-virginity-test-id3289272.html?utm_campaign=art-female-police-recruits-to-undergo-virginity-test-nov19&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook |
Good enough you have an OND in Mechanical Engineering which to me is an added advantage because you can gain valuable working experience with it. Since you want to further your studies in a University, i'll say go for it, but while waiting to be admitted into the University via Direct Entry, try and work for that little period. You don't need to bother about the fact that your friends are in school already while you're not. Remember it's not how fast, but how well. Research more on other Universities that are still admitting people. Once again, Mechanical Engineering is a very beautiful course any day anytime. Good luck! |
cyprel:Could you please explain in details the risks involved in Underwater welding? Thanks in advance |
Wow! This is a very good thread as there are lots of things to be learnt here. However, i have a few questions to ask the house. * How can the health implications of this job be minimized as i believe it is detrimental to one's health and eyes in the long run? * What skills can be combined with welding to make one more marketable? |
I sent Vizboy the airtime and he credited me with 250 MB within 5 seconds. I recommend him for business anyday anytime. The guy is legit Huuuuum! Waiter please give this Vizboy a very cold bottle of Zobo and Cabin biscuit. The bills are on me |

Capableben: Pls are you on whatsapp?Alright bro. It's on my signature now |
Capableben: Pls, I want to switch to Unn....Oga y u no dey like hear word? Shei i don dey tell u say make u concentrate on ur studies. So if P&G decides to give Internship opportunities to UNIUYO students you would also switch? Believe me when i say that you're only distracting yourself for no reason. This is not good for you. Please try and concentrate on your studies. Goodluck! |
amosluv2222: Pls have been staying @ home for so long and am having an OND result with lower credit. Anybody to be of help on how to get direct entry into another school cos am tired of being @ home. Why not try the University of Uyo (UNIUYO). They accept Lower Credit in their admission process. Besides, what course did you study? |
Capableben: wow, I appreciate. Pls, what can u say about Engineering and unemployment in this country as a graduate. because to be sincere, I. am actually a 100 level student of chemical engineering.Chai! U dis guy, u no dey like hear word. U just dey worry urself over nothing. Shei i don dey tell u say make u concentrate on ur Chemical Engineering degree and make the very best out of it. Na the 3rd time i go tell u dis thing be dis o. I'll still stand by my words that Chemical Engineering is one of the best courses one can study in the world. Have you thought of so many places you could work in with your degree? Do you know that with just an "idea" from the various branches in Chemical Engineering, you could be an Employer of labour? Chemical Engineering is very wide. Age is on your side i believe. Take advantage of this please. You may switch to Medicine & Surgery and end up regretting at last. Xfire and Davide470 please help this guy out. I wish you the very best! |
This is one of the problems we are facing in Nigeria. We dwell more on issues that are so "irrelevant" than relevant issues. On a certain thread sometime ago, people were busy arguing on the superiority of a B.Sc to an HND degree. Today, another person has come up with this. May be another person would come up with something like "WHY YOU SHOULD STUDY ABROAD INSTEAD OF NIGERIA". Have you thought of the rationale behind Parents sending their wards to Private Universities? Have you taken security into consideration? Also, one who attended or attends a Federal University doesn't mean he/she is poor. Attending a Federal University doesn't mean such a person is more intelligent than a Private University student. Let's think of the effects this argument would have on our younger ones. Not everybody can attend a Federal University just like not everyone can school in a Private University. We should think of ways of making Nigeria a better place to stay as we all have our various roles to play. Thank you |
I flogged my Class Teacher. I was in Nursery 2 then. Our Class Teacher told us to stop making noise during that period but we refused. Immediately, everybody stopped talking but i continued and i was caught since i was the last person. She flogged me with her cane. A few minutes to 1:00pm (when the school would be over), i picked up her cane and flogged her as well (on her buttocks) since she was standing and arranging her desk though she was backing the class. When my Dad came to pick me, she reported me to Daddy. Dad asked me why i flogged her, i answered "Daddy, but she was the first person to flog me. You can ask everybody in the class". Dad simply pleaded on my behalf and i went home. I was very troublesome as a child though. |
