Op, I don't think any reasonable, educated and responsible lady would desire to have such despite she knowing the full capabilities of her husband to be. If she desires it so madly, then the husband should solicit for her partnership in footing the bills for the wedding. There's an old adage which says ''Cut your coat according to your size''. If she persists and decline in supporting the husband, then he should either discuss it with the ladies family before taking any decision.

When I see adults complaining about the irresponsibility of teenagers, about their lack of respect, about their morals and about their promiscuity, I smh. Yet it is difficult to ask teenagers to develop responsibility when the adults seem to be rejecting it, and when society seems to be fragmenting. Yea, that's true and I agree with you on that but it's not that easy to find them sis. One principle I live with till date is whenever a lady asks for monetary help from me, I give it to her freely and no payback with no strings attached but sometimes, most of them take me for a dummy but I thank God for the blessings given to me each day by him. Same goes with my male friends except in cases where the amount requested is huge, then we'll have to sit down and review the cause for such amount.
Imagine this scenario, met a lady in a friends house and after 3 or 4 meetings early august, we shared contacts. Late september she told me her bday was coming up and I'm to present at the party but I declined cos I'm so scared of parties(last one I went, ended up badly). To make amends, asked for her account number and sent her some reasonable amount as a friend, even my guy friend was angry at me telling me I should have asked her out. Fast forward to early october, got 2 friend requests from two different ladies telling me they are friends of the lady and that their bdays are coming up this november and december. Would have posted the chat between us but it's childish and immature. Now my sis, don't you think they're assuming that I'm a dummy?
