shouldn't there be a functional railway crossing at that point or at least a railway official with a flag alerting pple of an approaching train like we had in the 70s and 80s?? a friend of mine almost got killed @ that point 8 years ago,there was no indication that a train was coming and he just looked to his right and saw a train approaching him,luckily he was not hurt but his car was written off.

Ok,she has been released and the next thing we are hearing is Thank God for bringing her out of this.what about the lastma ppple who told white lies against her!!!what if it was a normal joe blogs that this happened to what would have happened?what about the lastma bosses and the governor who had crucified her before investigations,.

I dont believe the lastma side of the story,going by the pics of the car ,that is not a car that killed someone.i have seen examples of cars involved in such incidents and it usually is gory with bllood splashes and major dents including a broken windscreen.she probably took one way and she can be charged for that but not murder.law enforcement in Nigeria is joke is it not the same pieople claiming that 2 different sets of ppple confessed to the same murder in Benin.they just want to pin a case on the lady unjustly.i am a die hard AG,UPN,SDP,AD,ACN supporter but on this their traffic law in Lagos state I am not in support.i was in traffic on Friday and I saw a lastma guy parading a traffic hold up in ilupeju looking for who to arrest for eating while driving.how ridiculous.It seems to me that the Lagos state govt is now taking us the ppple for granted believing that we have no choice forgetting that 2015 is around the corner and change is the only constant in life.

The problem I have with tribalism on nairaland is that it cut both ways but my ibo brothers make it look like its a one way street.its okay when they post all the Yoruba stuff but once there is any anti igbo stuff its straight to criticizing yorubas .my question is how do you determine that a person making a post is of a particular tribe?we should all direct our energies on the looters and economic crooks from all tribes who have made us the laughing stock of the world.

The check engine light is a persistent issue in American specs cars in Nigeria because of the low quality of gasoline sold in the local market.The cars sensors go off because the fuel is of a lesser quality to whaT it was designed for.it can be ignored but it's best to play saFe by using fuel treatment for every full tank of fuel(positiive powerby Mobil is very good).servicing the injector nozzles periodically is also helpful.you will rarely notice this problem on brand new Toyota and Hondas made for the Nigerian market.

there is a method top this thing,they will give the cars to use @ the summit on the condition that import duty will not be paid on the cars,this was done @ coja and chogm,at the end of the day the cars will be auctioned off and will be boight mostly by government officials @ a reduced price because technically they are no longer brand new cars.

For all those commenting here,a point to note,from what we can see Fashola DID NOT arrest the colonel and i dont think he has any power of arrest (legally that is)the body language displayed is that of disappointment i.e i thought you shld know better.And he aptly said that he has reported the issues to the higher quarters which is the right thing to do.Regarding the issue of a colonel being superior to a Governor ,that is clearly a Typical Naija beer parlor rant,how can?.If so why would Admiral Murtala Nyako,former chief of Naval staff and a distinguished one at that be the civilian governor of Adamawa state and he fought tooth and nail to get that seat.Abi he was demoted !!!!!!!

What we see being displayed on Nairaland is the pathetic naija situation,a lot of the people that post comments on nairaland (from all tribes )simply amaze me.
1.Why should a colonel who should be @ the forefront of keeping the law believe he is above the law?
2.I was in traffic on the same route this morning and i saw some soldiers still doing the same thing ,this included a DHQ Toyota Hiace,woe betide any police or lastma guy who tried to arrest them,just a day after a whole colonel is embarassed.This is clearly a lawless society.can you imagine if it was anyone else,even the commisioner of police that attempted to stop the colonel,katakata would have burst,if u study the pics well there was no policeman in sight behind fashola perhaps out of fear except the ss guy wielding an ultra sophisticated weapon who can take on any threat.
3.What about the LASTMA guys themselves who hide in corners waiting for pple to pounce on rather than being there to direct and help pple.

The Alaska Airlines flight 261 crash has appeared in various advance fee fraud ("419" email scams. In these scams, a scammer uses the name of someone who died in the crash to lure unsuspecting victims into sending money to the scammer by claiming the crash victim left huge amounts of unclaimed money in a foreign bank account. The names of Morris Thompson and Ronald and Joyce Lake were used in schemes unrelated to them.[27][28]

I am not sure if i am the only one that has noticed this,@ the press conference given by Dana Air they said that they would be paying the stipulated compensation to the victims of the plane crash,question i ask is who is talking about that at this stage and what amount can bring back the people that were killed.I think Dana bringing this up at this stage is totally insensitive it is as if to them ,all that they owe the dead is to pay them compensation.They needed not to have brought that up at all because they really have no choice to pay and its coming from the insurers of the plane not them.Just my thoughts
