Absolutely agree with his post,my 07 camry engine just gave up last week here in Lagos(long story),i service my car @ a reputable toyota workshop every 5000 miles but was told the issue had to do with unrated engine oil.I have now bought a replacement engine ,the mechanics opened up the top of the old engine and it was all clogged up with dark oil.I have been advised to use only Mobil one going forward and reduce service intervals to 3000 miles.

As previously stated by others,Virgin Atlantic is a better bet for the following reasons

1.its easier to get to mma in the morning no matter where u are coming from as u are mostly against traffic.
2.the airport is saner as less international flights depart @ that time compared to about 10 @ night,with the faulty air conditioning system u see travelers sweating like goats b4 boarding the plane.
3.except winter time u still get to London during the day and can still find you way to your destination without any hassle.
4.on your return journey ,you get into lagos very early and u can be out of the airport in less than an hour because there is less pressure on the conveyor

its a bit unfair to compare both tracks as they were released at different times and appeal to different audiences.having said that ,Oliver twist has done extremely well in the UK ,i have heard it being played in places i didnt ever expect.I dont know much about the US (folks in the US can answer that better).as an aside ,just watched an old richard gere movie called breathless released in 1983 and one of KSA's songs featured prominently in the soundtrack.i have also heard asa's jailer being played in a poundland store in Bromley U.K and another of her tracks played in a cool oyinbo restaurant in Ontario Canada.

I always laugh when ignorant pple start going on about Ibadan being a backward ,dirty place.
Truth is the people that say that have not taken the time to learn about the place before making comments,no doubt Ibadan has its dark sides(which city doesnt)but for me Ibadan is a place that works.I live and work in Lag but grew up in Ib and i have always known that Ib is the place where i will retire to God willing.I would rather live in Jericho,Iyaganku or Agodi GRA than live in Ikoyi at less than 20% of the cost(they are all colonial estates with similar plot sizes and layouts) .Fact is a lot of Yoruba and non yoruba successful men have their main homes in Ibadan and spend most of their weekends and retirement there.I would have mentioned names but this is a public forum and it is not right to do so.If we had developed properly as a nation,we would have seen more folks working in lagos and living in Ib.A fast train leaving dugbe rail station should arrive at iddo in less than an hour ,if Fashola completes his metro ,then Marina is just a few minutes away.Ibadan has always been a centre for the arts and i grew up attending plays @ the UI arts theatre featuring and directed by such great guys as Wole Soyinka,Wale Ogunyemi,Sam loco,Femi Johnson(even though he was a succesfull insurance magnate)and many others. While we pay millions for our childrens school fees in lag,well spaced out and equipped primary schools like all saints church school,Maryhill convent school,All souls primary school,UI staff School etal still produce well rounded kids @ a fraction of Lagos prices.I am not familiar with the east but i have passed through Enugu and it is also looks like a nice,sane place to live in and raise a family.i heard Kaduna and Jos also had the same charm.

I saw this coming,i listen to her on rhythm fm most mornings and i truly enjoy her show with nanya dialle,she is one naughty thing and she seems to know her presenting stuff very well,BUT she obviously has no depth in life issues and some of her ideas about men and relationshps are whack.I hope she grows up fast and stops living in the make believe world of showbiz if she truly wants to have any meaninful and true relationship.

mr Maduka has always been a man I respect,I am sorry to say that he fell victim because of his emotions and the ethnic card that Uba introduced to the whole thing.According to him he was severely warned not to have anything to do with Uba,even up to the point of not allowing his picture to be taken with him,Uba sensing his weakness raised the ethnic flag by saying it is some Yorubas who were after him because they were not happy that an Igbo man had such investments in Lagos and wanted to destroy him.At that point Maduka was willing to risk all to save his brother from the evil Yorubas .I trust he has learnt his lesson.Is it the Yorubas tha made him indebted to Union Bank to the tune of 40 billion??.What would it have taken him to call mrs osibodu to clarify issues,his status would have guaranteed him easy access to her.

I personally think Yorubas should ignore all theses comments about the civil war,for one most of the pple commenting here were born after the civil war and are only rehashing what they were told.The truth is that it is impossible to be totally objective in any discuss because our objectivity is decided by issues beyond us and our socialization.Why would i expect an Ibo man to respect Awolowo that helped Nigeria to defeat them at war?why would i also expect a Yoruba man to be happy with a war that was aiming to overun Yoruba territory with the excuse that they wanted Lagos because it was the federal capital?.
I think we should all move on.The greatest losers in this unfortunately is the Ibo man as he is creating more enemies for himself in this process and has still failed to learn the art of ALLIANCE BUILDING.No tribe be it Yoruba,Hausa or Ibo can lead without the help of others,2015 is around the corner and if an Ibo man wants to become president he must build alliances with these same Yorubas that they are proffessing deep hate for and the Ambitious Hausa/fulani who are themselves hungry for return of power.this is like being between a rock and a hard place.

Nice development but 2 points come to mind
1.Who are the contractors going to build this project and who is going to properly supervise them to make sure they build according to specification.
2.The so called rehabilitation at MMIA is a disgrace and i wont be surprised if the place comes out worse than it was originally,from what i can see ,the contractors dont have the requisite experience in this kind of job and i doubt if any tenders were done for the project.The soundproof and shatterproof glass that strabag installed in 1978 are being replaced by some thin cheap looking glass.Airport glass is of a special config and i remember that a concorde once landed at MMIA for refuelling when it was going on a worldwide trip.A trip to the nwe toilets will also convince u of the quality of the job being done,marble in a public toilet!!!!!!!!but they are already falling apart and leaking.
