BetaThings: [s]Mindless violence like ALUU4, murder of Cynthia by christian facebook pals, kidnapping in the South
Mindless violnece in the Islamic countries Like Malaysia & Dubai that christians don't want to leave and Qatar that is to host the World Cup
On the day the ALUU4 story broke, Punch was continuously heckled for publishing a story that would tarnish Nigeria's image. Lesson. People like you count Naira implications and image before reporting news.
When the next violent orgy corners you in the South from your fellow christians, you would wish you had faced reality[/s]

maclatunji: Shameful post. It was sent here because of people like you.
Please elaborate on your statement...

Why is a story of a Murder in Afghanistan featuring in the ISLAM FOR MUSLIMS SECTION?

What other reason can anyone give for a Crime story appearing in a Religious section Unless there is a LINK between said Crime and said Religion....
IslamRe: Afghan Girl 'beheaded For Refusing Prostitution' by cheddarking(m): 4:48pm On Oct 21, 2012
Why on Earth is this News in the Islam for Muslim Section?

There is no religious undertone to the story as far as I'm aware...

Unless Nairaland Mods are finally beginning to understand that Islam is Synonymous with Mindless Violence(Especially in the So-called Islamic Nations)..... grin

PoliticsRe: How A Motorcyclist Was Almost Killed By Fulani Herdsmen by cheddarking(m): 5:55pm On Oct 19, 2012
kokosheen: Bro, you need to re-read the original post again. It narrated that they took the okada rider's day takings and his bike. For these Fulani guys, its more than enough (1 used bike = at least 15k, which is equivalent to 1 meal of bread and tea (50naira) + 1 glue to inhale & get high on (100naira} X 100).

They do stuff like this on the long bridge of the Lagos - Ibadan expressway and it shouldn't come as a surprise. I also stayed with them in the core north during service year and know that they are more than capable of doing stuff like this.

What amazes from the post is the response from the Police that they are not a broadcasting organization and can't tell the reporters actions they're going to take on a crime that's as clear as daylight. Imagine, is this not the same Police that parade suspects on TV before they're charged to court?
I don't think you know the Fulani robber known as Ndu Chuks

Even if this Okada man had video evidence of his attack, Mazi Alhaji Chuks will insist it was done in 'Self Defence'
PoliticsRe: How A Motorcyclist Was Almost Killed By Fulani Herdsmen by cheddarking(m): 5:43pm On Oct 19, 2012
The Average Fulani is an illiterate fool.

Behold proof:

Ndu Chuks, the well known Boko Haram apologist masquerading as an Igbo man had this to say:
Nigerians remain gullible and continue to allow their prejudices becloud their better judgments. This story does not add up. What is the motive for this senseless attack on this Okada worker? It does not appear to be robbery because we have not been told that anything was stolen. Herdsmen do not run around killing people unless in self defense.
Despite reading this in the original post:

eduson55: ...his assailants brought out daggers with which they attacked him, chopping off his left ear in the process. At the end, he was abandoned in the pool of his own blood, while they absconded with his motor bike.

Recounting what he described as an unforgettable incident, Eze stated, “I did not know they had a sinister motive up their sleeves when they flagged me. It was when they asked me to stop that I knew something could be wrong. They forced me to a path from where they attacked me and made away with all the cash I had made for the day including my motorcycle
."
Behold Alhaji Ndu Chuks, the Boko Haram Apologist in all his Illiterate Glory...

If you kill a person, you steal someone's hope for a better future.

If you are convicted of murder and sentenced to life, you spend 30 years in prison, and you may come out to buy a winning lottery ticket...

The only just sentence for murderers is Death.

If you steal a person's hope, you must lose yours as well.

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Economy To Overtake UK, France By 2050 by cheddarking(m): 9:31am On Oct 19, 2012
I get what you are driving at, however my point is this, if we do not see where we need to be and how we need to get there as a nation, then we will remain the modern day Israel who were less than 4 days closer to the promise land but ended up arriving there 400 years late.

As for your BSC holders driving trucks, I think that reasoning is part of what needs eradicating in Nigeria. Here in the UK, you see a man driving taxi, has a degree but you know what, He also has two other small business He runs. It is now about the degree you hold that matters, it is what you do with it. Those BSC holders can do the truck driving for three years, and there after get the financial stability to start up the right company and become employers of labour.
There is nothing wrong with being a Degree Holder and Driving a Truck for a living...We all have to play the best hand with the cards life throws at us...

However when the unemployment rate in a Country rises so high, that a Degree becomes a REQUIREMENT for an unskilled job as Truck Driving, then how can you say that Country's Economy is Booming?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Economy To Overtake UK, France By 2050 by cheddarking(m): 9:11am On Oct 19, 2012
You start from some where. Have you heard of such a thing like recognizing every good thing in you? Nigeria should look at where shes done things right and try to replicate that in other areas. Whining about how poor you are will never make you become rich, remember, there is no productivity in negativity.
You are being very Idealistic bruv.

In a Normal Society, where all Citizens are sane, then your statments hold water...

Not in Nigeria.

We've had 52 years to get it right, and conditions back then that were more favourable to Economic growth...and we fuccked up Royally.

Now things are bad, the security situation is appaling, power generation is still not high enough to drive industrialisation, rife corruption ingrained in our little ones...and this is the Economy they tell you is GROWING?

A Country so devoid of jobs, TRUCK DRIVERS need to have a BSC! And this 'Economy' is GROWING?

In the GSM sector you mentioned, 3 of the 4 major Service Providers are FOREIGN, and the ECONOMY is GROWING?

Forgive me if I disagree Sir!

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Economy To Overtake UK, France By 2050 by cheddarking(m): 8:56am On Oct 19, 2012
First you claimed there are no Industries in Nigeria, then you conclude by naming some of the biggest players in their sector in Africa, does that not tell you something? Yes development maybe very slow, but there is denying the fact that Nigeria is making significant progress in many areas. Telecommunication is one aspect that is worth using as a case study. In barely 12years, Nigeria has gone from a nation with no GSM to a nation now looking to implement things like rural agricultural education using GSM. Yes, it may not be perfect, but just like the automobile industry in Great Britain in the early years, it wasn't perfect, they just kept working on it until they took the world by storm. Lets have a positive mind set, after all, there's no productivity in negativity.
So you've got only 3 major Players Propping up the Economy...

And you reckon that's a GOOD thing?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Economy To Overtake UK, France By 2050 by cheddarking(m): 8:31am On Oct 19, 2012
KINGwax: arrant nonsense! Who says there aint industrialization? Why alwys talkin from your caged point of view? How are u different from d idiottas who alwys come with cheap publicity and surveys like, nigerians are the poorest, nigerian women are the most unfaithful. Y'all nothin butcha bunch of stupid lots!
Did u check up wit the corporate affairs commission and got the facts dt industries aint springin up? I see factories being built in my daily life here. We install so many things for them and y'all jes sit behind d screen while your lean fingers typed from the wretchedness of your vague intelligence. Building some kinda cheap cyber popularity, feigning intellectual like a fraudster!
We still need to get so many things right, one and only effort being helping small scale enterprises strive by installin the right infrastructures. We all knw the SME is the backbone of industrialization. And i give it to Nigerians, we are ready. Even wit oddies, we still continue to make it. Whether u biliv it or not, unlike before, i've seen guys live comfortable without fraud. They've engaged themselves in simple business and it's payin off. Those that think Nigeria is only for whackness are the lots that waited and wanna die on being salaried. Guys have advanced from taking small opportunities and using them. Almost every guy has a registered company now, waiting and workin for an opportunity to burst out. Beggin and lobbyin for simple supplies and contracts. We need to stamp out corruption and d lots dt kills this actuallizations.
Stay there they imagine. Guys aint waiting for Nigeria. And that's why it's helpin d economy.
So log out dude, you're faking.
Bros abeg which industries dey Nigeria?

Do you know simple items like TORCHLIGHTS, and SUSPENDED CEILINGS are being imported from China?

I should know, as I do this business.

Nigeria is a country where Nigerian-made things are seen as inferior not just by the elite, but the COMMON MAN ON THE STREET.

Apart from the Dangote\Honeywell\Ibeto Conglomerates and Indomie, JUST HOW MANY FACTORIES ARE THERE?

And you say Shymexx is faking? Come correct bruv...

All the people bashing Igbos here fail to to remember that Kidnap-for-Ritual business has traditionally been seen as a Yoruba Enterprise.

I spent the 1st 13 years of my life in Ilaje-Bariga, and I know the sort of criminality my own Clansmen(Yoruba) are capable of...

I am half-Igbo,half-Yoruba and I really cant understand why both sides bash each other constantly, seeing as they are both as bad as each other...
