The releasing so-called ‘repentant’ terrorists, look at what in Brono state 100 Soldiers were killed on Sunday on 18th of Nov 2018 Which the Government has not officially say anything about the incident, is so so sad. nairafame: The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday warned the President Muhammadu Buhari government, to “review its policy of releasing so-called ‘repentant’ terrorists”.
In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Thursday, Atiku bemoaned the level of insecurity in the country.
According to the former vice-president, both Muslim and Christian clerics now officiate funerals more than marriages and child dedication.
Atiku called on the Federal Government to take bold steps to end unnecessary deaths, because he was tired of issuing condolences on such deaths.
He said, “I have been travelling all over Nigeria and I meet with both Muslim and Christian clerics who tell me that in the North East and Middle Belt, they now officiate over more funerals than they do marriages and child dedications. This is heartbreaking and we must do something immediately to change the situation.
“Apart from funding, I advise the Federal Government to review its policy of releasing so-called ‘repentant’ terrorists. To think that the government can de-radicalise these individuals in so short a time is wishful thinking.
“Many people, myself included, think that the upsurge in terror activities coming after the release of such detainees is not coincidental.
“Finally, I urge the National Assembly to suo moto, take action to appropriate funds for our military on a fast-track basis. These are desperate times for Nigeria and desperate times call for dedication to duty of all concerned.
“I am tired of issuing condolences for unnecessary deaths. I prefer to make a difference and prevent unnecessary deaths amongst the gallant men and women of our armed forces and the civilian population they took an oath to protect.” Source: http://www.nairafame.com/2018/11/atiku-warns-buhari-over-releasing.html?m=1 |

This same Boko Haram that APC government said they is no insurgents in Borno state, See how Nigerians soldiers are been killed on daily basis yet the government has not come up to say anything this inhuman on our soldiers . Ganduri: Ahmed Kingimi , Paul Carsten MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (Reuters) - Militants killed around 100 Nigerian soldiers in an attack on an army base on Sunday, security sources said on Thursday, blaming Islamic State West Africa. The toll is among the highest since President Muhammadu Buhari came to power in 2015 and it could raise pressure on him ahead of an election in February, not least because he has claimed victory over the nine-year insurgency. The insurgents attacked the base in the village of Metele in northeastern Borno state, the epicentre of a revolt by Boko Haram and its Islamic State splinter group. “The insurgents took us unawares,” said an officer who requested anonymity. “The base was burned with arms and we lost about 100 soldiers. It is a huge loss.” Many troops are missing, the sources said. One soldier said more troops were killed on Tuesday when an attempt to recover bodies from the initial attack was ambushed. “We all flew because we didn’t know where the bullets were coming from,” he said. “They killed some of us who went to evacuate the bodies of the killed soldiers.” “We left our amour, tanks and weapons. They were all there. The village is still under their control.” Four security sources said around 100 died in Metele and the death toll was not final. The fifth said 96 died in the northeast in recent days, mostly in Metele. The senate, which is controlled by the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday suspended its session in honour of what it said were 44 dead soldiers after the Metele attack. Opposition presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, who is Buhari’s main rival, called on the government to support the families of dead soldiers. A presidency spokesman said the military would issue a statement. Military spokesmen did not respond to requests for comment. The government and military often decline to acknowledge the scale of losses in the northeast. Militants have killed hundreds of soldiers in the region in recent months.

“I will give a decent living wage to workers if I become president. People in APC and PDP are reluctant to pay N30, 000, within one year in government I will workers N50, 000.

Politics › Re: Jonathan: How Jega's INEC Conspired Against Me In 2015 by chiangwar: 10:38am On Nov 21, 2018 |
You are true leader Nigeria has ever had you make a huge sacrifice. aminulive: @POLITICSNGR
Ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan has insinuated that a vast conspiracy by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC was partly responsible for his loss in 2015, PoliticsNGR has learned.
Jonathan, who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP lost to President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC on March 31st 2015, marking the first time an opposition party wins an election in Nigeria.
In his book, 'My Transition Hours' launched in Abuja on Tuesday, Jonathan wrote;
"For some inexplicable reason, the INEC had been able to achieve near 100% distribution of Permanent Voter Cards in the North, including the North East, which was under siege with Boko Haram insurgency but failed to record a similar level of distribution in the South which was relatively more peaceful,”.
Social media was filled with all manner of stories, pictures and videos. I had settled in my mind that I was not going to be the sitting president pointing out these infractions and accusing the opposition and the very INEC I helped to strengthen.
The world saw my ordeal at the polling unit in my community in Bayelsa State, where the card reader refused my PVC even after we tried repeatedly during accreditation.
And it was the same with my wife and my mother. It was a moment that exposed the shortcomings of INEC".
Mr Jonathan said even though he conceded defeat because of personal principles he had long held, he was even more conscious of past predictions of the United States intelligence that Nigeria would break apart.
“I knew what was coming the day before I called General Muhammadu Buhari. I had reports on the polls around the country. It was clear the results were not going to favour me. There were series of problems with card readers, resulting from widespread technical hitches leading to the non-uniform application throughout the country.
However, I was heading towards peace. Stopping the election on voting day would have been like detonating an atomic bomb,” he said.
Mr Jonathan said shortly after he finished voting on March 28, he departed Bayelsa for Abuja to monitor the rest of the exercise from March 29 until he made concession call on March 31.
“The country was tensed. I had to do something. I could no longer wait for the collation of final results. The pressure on the country was palpable. In Lagos, people were ready to burst loose on the streets and in the North, the stage was set for envisaged violence. One of my party’s agents at the INEC National Collation Centre in Abuja, Elder Godsday Orubebe eventually got into a heated argument with the INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega.
That further raised the tension in the country. Everyone was expecting the worse. I knew it was time to douse the tension,”.

See who is talking you should tell Nigeria how boko Haram all started . Peter12396: Abuja – Sen. Ali Ndume has said that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, will be a walk-over for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 general elections. Sen. Ndume Ndume, Chairman, Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service in Abuja. He said the All Progressives Congress(APC)) was not perturbed by Atiku’s emergence, adding that he was not a threat to the party in any way. According to him, the records are there for Nigerians to judge. “Next election is a walk-over with Atiku. “We were anxious when PDP was to organise their primaries but when Atiku emerged, we were glad for so many reasons. “Atiku was our Vice President for eight years and he was one of the most powerful vice presidents we ever had and we know what he did. “He was under former President Obasanjo and in his book “Under My Watch”, he voluntarily described who the Presidential candidate is. “We all know where we were and where we are now. Had it been they are presenting a new person, someone that Nigerians do not know, that may have been a threat but with Atiku, no way. “Let us analyse it. North West is where the president comes from and we are banking on our highest votes there and if you go to any part of the North West, you will realise that his popularity is unprecedented. “Then if you go to North East, Buhari is a moral obligation,” he said. He expressed disappointment that Atiku, in spite of coming from the North East, there was no record of him sending relief materials to people displaced by Boko Haram. “We have to vote for him (Buhari) because we know where we were with the government of PDP in my state, including my local government, my town and even my house were taken over by Boko Haram. “It was the government of President Muhammadu Buhari that salvaged the situation and now my people are back to our local government. “Those that are trying to take over from him or compete with him were there before. “Atiku was the vice president and one of the richest Nigerians ever, but I cannot remember Atiku taking even a bag of rice to our people that are suffering in Borno and he wants to be our president. “For me, this election is between Nigerians and the Nigerian corrupt. “Atiku’s background is known. All the show of money from him, Saraki and others is what they got from politics, people’s money,” he said. On fears that election campaign might be marred by violence, Ndume said APC would not be part of such. He added that President Muhammadu Buhari as well as the National Chairman of the party had admonished party faithful to shun violence, name calling but to focus on issues. “Yesterday (Sunday) when the `Next Level’ was launched by our presidential candidate and the president of the country, he specifically said we should go on with the campaign decently. “That means no name calling, no insult, but concentrate on issues and during our convention, our chairman clearly stated that our campaign is going to be different. “This is the first time APC government is campaigning for the second tenure so we want to campaign on issues and ideas. “We do not want to campaign on personalities and we do not want to be involved in name calling as PDP is desperately trying to do. “We will not join issues with them. They can only fight themselves,” he said. The lawmaker warned Nigerians against voting PDP, saying it had nothing to offer. He said “PDP is not new to Nigerians. They have a product that is known to Nigerians, a product that Nigerians rejected four years ago for obvious reasons. “Now we have a candidate that the marketer of that product had rejected. “We know what they did and as I said, we have been cautioned not to campaign on persons but then you have to speak the truth.” (NAN) |
Politics › Re: Buhari Camp Identifies Big Issue Missing In Atiku’s Plan, Warns Nigerians by chiangwar: 4:33pm On Nov 20, 2018 |
President Buhari mentioned war against corruption, how is he fighting it , His a most corrupt leader ever . nimisola: Zikist-Buharist Movement, ZBM, has noted that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, failed to mention the fight against corruption in his manifesto for the country.
Atiku had on Monday via Facebook and Twitter unveiled his four-point agenda manifesto/policy document entitled, “The Atiku Plan.”
Atiku’s manifesto promotes restructuring, privatization, job creation, infrastructure development and poverty eradication but ZBN has noted that the former Vice President failed to include the fight against graft in his agenda.
Reacting in a statement in Enugu on Tuesday, ZBM said that Atiku was coming to squander the nation’s treasury.
It said Nigerians should be wary of Atiku’s demagoguery.
The statement was signed by Stanley Ohajuruka and Godwin Onwusi, Zonal Coordinator and Acting Secretary respectively.
ZBM said, “For we are at a loss how best to be happier tomorrow, to create jobs and build a modern economy, but investing hugely in critical infrastructure which the Buhari’s Rails, Roads, Agriculture and Power (RRAP) Projects – 5,000 kilometers of federal roads, 5,000 kilometers of standard gauge rail lines, 5,000 megawatts of electricity and self sufficiency in food production, is executing and wants to take to the Next Level.
“It is on record that Buhari regime inherited 345 uncompleted federal roads and despite fall in oil revenue, had invested over N2 trillion in critical infrastructure, embarked on social safety net and utilized over N2 trillion to bail out states from salary and pension arrears, abandoned when the former Minister of Finance, Dr Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala bemoaned that, ‘whoever wins in 2015 will never find it easy to govern, for I told them to save ahead of eventualities, but Jonathan had no political will to do so and that is the reason why we are in crisis, because we squandered our boom,’
“As a One who was in charge when some of these roads and other projects were abandoned, may we ask His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, his scorecard as de facto president and chairman of National Council on Privatization (NCP), when Chief Olusegun Obasanjo then president was globetrotting between 1999 and 2003 and delegated enormous powers to him?
“Our simple answer is that Nigerians have no good story to tell of the privatisation exercise of the State Owned Enterprises, under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the exercise failed woefully and the proceeds were less than transparently accounted for, as exemplified by NITEL, Aluminum Steel Plant, Ajaokuta Steel Plant, Electricity Distribution Companies and sundry state assets.”
The group further stated that it cannot trust Atiku who flagrantly jettisoned the great Nigeria media, event managers, transporters, food vendors among others, by climbing skyward to launch his demagoguery campaign in the Social Media via Twitter and Facebook.
“ZBM had searched for any page where The Atiku Plan mentioned war against corruption, and couldn’t find any; which means that the plan placed no premium on the menace of corruption and how it underdeveloped our dear country
“In sum, it is the considered view of ZBM that yesterday is today’s architecture. Accordingly the 2019 presidential electoral contest is a two horse race, between promoter of squandermania or share the money syndrome and promoter of prudence of slow and steady growth. Beware of the era of squandermania,” ZBN said. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by chiangwar: 4:15pm On Nov 20, 2018 |
Is President Buhari fault , evil party called APC But the story will change come 2019 we will vote for ATIKU. And Nigeria will stand again . TonyeBarcanista: I am saddened by the continuous act of some of my compatriots to always engage in social media fight with fellow Africans, most notably our brothers and sisters from Ghana and Kenya.
It is even unfortunate that these countries Nigeria youths love to abuse on social media are doing better than our potentially great country in virtually all sphere despite the fact that we(as a country) have more revenues, potentials, and opportunities. If Nigerians are not aware of the superiority(in terms of living) of other Africans over us, I will have to educate them using Kenya as a case study.
While Nigerians have always pride in the self titled "African Giant" rhetoric, facts on ground shows otherwise. Though we generate more revenue than Kenya, which is 70% due to the gift of nature under our soil(Petrodollars), Nigerians still lag behind greatly in basic things when compared to the East African giant.
According to 2015 data from World Health Organisation, Nigeria's male and female life expectancy are 52years and 56 years respectively, meaning an average Nigerian is expected to die before he/she turns 60. Meanwhile, the expectancy for Kenyan male and female are 61 and 66 years respectively. Similarly, while Nigeria has the 10th highest infant mortality rate worldwide with average 72 deaths per 1,000 birth, Kenya's infant mortality rate is rated 52nd in the world with average 32 deaths per 1,000 births. This means it is safer to give birth in Kenya than in Nigeria, and an average Kenyan living in Kenya is expected to live longer than an average Nigerian living in Nigeria.
Though Nigeria has more tourism potential than Kenya, but Kenya is one of the choice destination for vacation in East Africa. While Nigeria managed to rake in $601 million as Tourism receipt(Revenue) in 2014, Kenya raked in $1.833 billion in the same year. Nigeria can't even boast of a National carrier meanwhile Kenya Airways, the National Carrier of Kenya boasts of 45 Aircrafts in their fleet with 4,000 workforce strength. In addition, Kenya Airways is reputed to be one of the best in Africa.
In Africa, Kenya is the leader of Mobile money. Nigeria is still still battling to get it right in the ICT sector with poor infrastructure, lack of power, lack of political will, and fantastically corruption.
At present Nigeria is experiencing recession in her economy, one would expect Nigerians to shun frivolties and seek for ways to turn the recession to prosperity instead of wasting productive hours fighting our African brethren over irrelevances. Why would one who is rationing his/her phone battery life due to epileptic power supply still spend the little battery life s/he got through his/her generator to abuse someone in Nairobi who is neither rationing his/her phone battery life nor is depending on generating set for power? There is no trophy or reward for social media fight, Nigerians should stop sending the wrong image to the world that our greatness lies in social media wars.
Nigeria is a great country with potentials, filled with great prospects, but we can never be great if we don't channel our time and resources to fix our country.
A word should be enough for the wise... May God Bless Us All, and Bless Nigeria
