Good morning all, I had a US visa which expired on 29th Aug 2018, I had earlier made a drop down request but chose medical(B2), I was schedule for appointment.
i went along witj my budget sheet, doctores apointment letter and the medical bill which had $7,350 from Doctores Paretti , my application was denied on the ground of low medical bill i contacted Doctores Paretti

Dear Melissa,

i went for my visa appointment interview yesterday and the Visa officer refused to grant me a visa on the premises that the medical bill is lower than expected and therefore alleged that the balance will be transfered to the US government by the hospital.

Please confirm that the basis of your bill is complete and there are no intentions to pass any cost to the Government. I bellieve a clearer price schedule should also be issued to assist me in my visa process as I intend to re-apply shortly.

I got another confirmation later that the bill is without government discount and added bill for additional days for mother and baby to make the medical bill total $10,700 on my budget sheet,which was also turned down by the visa officer.even when I mentioned that I have done my research and had 3 other bills from hospital in the same state (Texas) comparable.

am confused now as to whether to 're apply, will it not look like am desperate,do I need to get another bill?....the experts

My dear it is not only west houston, I think it depends on what the VO has in mind. People who used houston north west has also faced same refusal too.

They said the itemised bill cannot be emailed. It can only be mailed or faxed. What did you do please?

Please has anyone ever gotten an itemised bill from West Houston Medical Center? My visa was denied even though I had a zero balance. The VO couldn’t understand why such a huge discount of 20k was given even when I explained that it’s because I’m self pay. I have also emailed WHMC hopefully they can send an itemised bill so that I can reapply.

Yes it is the main thing is to proof that she has enough ties that will bring her back to Nigeria and the cost of the trip can be covered

My Ans: I put the details of the dallas host and relationship: relative

Q: "Do you have any other relatives in the US"
My Ans: No

In my new form since am going to Houston now....at first i put the contact of the Houston host as my contact person in the US but when I got to the question of do u have any other relatives....I was thinking if i say 'yes they might feel but in my previous forms I said no.

And if i say no...they might think then how come I have a new contact this time. The Houston host and I have the same surname.

What do you advise pls?

And also how's Los Angeles POE like? Pls people with experience. I know they cannot be like Chicago. I conquered the almighty Chicago in 2016.

In my opinion he should apply to go for his training in October while she does her houston stuff.
It only means they are not going to apply together so as to make it clear of their different activities.

I have a quick question please. My sister is due in November and she intends to give birth in Houston, but her husband is going for a training in New York this October. His interview is this week and she wants to submit her application after he has gotten his visa.
Do you think this is a good idea?
She is applying for a medical visa, does she need to change her hospital to a hospital in New York? Since that is where her husband will be attending the training. What is the best way to go about this?

My B1/b2 visa allows for childbirth in the US

Before I travel I should ensure I have my doctors appointment letter, details of where I will be receiving medical care, estimated cost of financial medical care because immigration officials will ask for it.

I should know that childbirth in the US is expensive and cost can escalate if there are complications, I will be required to pay all my bills.

I should ensure I collect my itemized statement of account from my healthcare provider and receipts.

I have just summarized the letter in detail.

Now this is the reason you have strong ties to the USA too by marriage.

Hubby havent been to USA ,he have dealers in USA and Canada that they buy and send to him years back,they have denied him severally mostly cost his parents and siblings are there green card holders ,his sis is a citizen and he is not bothered and not willing to try again.Thanks anyway till next year will explain the car deals and all,God might favour me.let me enjoy my vacation.

How much exactly did you say you paid if it is too low that might be a pointer also how long did you stay there in your last visit.

You all can go together just fill your forms as honestly and truthfully as you can.
Also go with every document you can think or imagine.
If your child is of school age ie 4 years and above then prepare your answer if and when you are asked why you are going with him or her ie if you will be traveling when school is in session.

Plz guyz is it particularly necessary for my wife and child to at least travel to a neighbouring country e.g Ghana to disvirgin their passport before proceeding for the interview in Nov. I (the husband ) have been out of d country before once.. I.e. to Kenya. Plz I need to know.this is the first time we are applying for US visa and shes going for child delivering and I am going for a tour with d child for a month with her. We applied for B1/B2

I had to call immigration on 08119753844 concerning the issue I was told you can get it as long as the baby has the same sure name as yours on the birth certificate.

For the case emails not delivering he said it is technical issues

Secondly, in the content of the letter I'll be sending, do I need to add/is it compulsory I add my baby daddy's passport data page when his name isn't on the birth certificate since I will be attaching a copy of the birth certificate to the letter? I passed through them while I was pregnant nothing happened to my baby. The dose is very minimal.

Can someone refuse to be scanned and request a pat down instead? Has anybody had any experience with this one?

I had a B1/B2 visa before my previous pregnancy and before I travelled I sent a letter to the embassy that I was going to have my baby. That visa expired in June and I applied for drop box recently and picked up my passport today but I have been invited for an interview. However, neither schedule another interview nor provide additional documentation was ticked in the letter provided with my passport. Has anyone had this experience before, what do you suggest please? To the best of my knowledge I have never been stamped out of the US for the many times I have gone there. Before now you would drop the stub from your I90 card with the airline who in turn hands off it to the authorities .
this time the boarding manifest is what is used to know you are out.

If i were you I will open a dollar account with one of the foreign banks and lodge all the money just go with say $4000 get the open an account the next then electronically transfer your money.
Because apart from immigration issue what about it been stolen.
