Yes to all your questions MamaTuoyo: Hello Everyone.
My friend gt contact with some doctors in Houston and they are asking for her to pay 200 dollars before they can give a letter she will take for interview.
Does a doctor need to accept her before she goes for interview, because the doctor says before he can accept her, she needs to pay 200 dollars for appointment. |

Attached below. And sent same zero balance. Please can someone tell me who to call or ask for that can send me the other type of letter stating that I was charged the flat rate! Thanks |

My dear it depends on who picked your calls because my letter doesn't have the discount fee. lynniebabes: @yettyolaseni I wish west hospital medical center can give me a letter like this too. I called so many times they seem so adamant and insisting to include the discount fee. I regret using them |

Your total bill is $7460 USD from what you stated If asked lynniebabes: Hello good day house. I got my visa on 2016 purpose was conference which I attended. Got married 2017 and had my daughter at west Houston medical center. My hospital bill was discounted cos I was selfpay. I paid 3000$ for hospital bill. When I got the itemized bill I noticed that 14,919$ was discounted from my bill. And also got an email that my baby lab bill was 2,756 after discount paid 360$. I get this discount when I tell them I’m paying cash. Now with what is going on the VO denies you when you get huge discounts even with the zero balance receipt. My question is should one call the hospital, reach an agreement, pay an extra 4000 or so? Then get an itemized bill stating you have no discount. I think that way the V.O will feel much better and grant you visa and also when going to the USA stay away from discounted hospital. I paid my my doctors bill 2600$ epidural 1500$ Thanks. |

Because that is what the instruction on the web page says. At the end of your application for drop box you would see " bring only your passport and this letter. Do not add any other documents" I didn't quote it word for word though dere5: Most of the time, the DHL people don't allow you to add any supporting documents to the drop box application |

What it means do two spreadsheets 1) expenses sheet for the first baby 2) budget sheet for the current application This reminds me When we refer to zero balance it means you have to get the letter from all the service providers if possible ie Doctors ie for you and baby Hospital Anesthesiologists Sonographer if done separately And all test In my case I have about 6 zero balance receipts. If asked how much you spent be sure to quote a sum of all. Oleayo22: Please I want everyone to help me torchlight what the voluntary wrote on my white form. I have attached it cos she mention all receipts for medical care I received but where she ticked is saying something else. Do I present past receipts as well as my budget sheet, bank statement and correspondence from doctors on this recent missionary journey I want to embark on? @Justwise, @omobendel, @Overlord. I had same experience too with west Houston medical center on my babies account it was sorted out over the phone from here. After I was asked to send a scan copy of my zero balance as proof. Oleayo22: Just to share about my experience recently as I am meant to go for 221G interview soon in trying to make sure I have al my receipts ready, I discovered I didn't have itemized bill for both pediatrician and anaestologist even though i had paid my bills in full. I called them and only for me to discover that in 2016 when I got a discount of 25% and I paid the bill right there and then that the person did not write off the discount but left it and so it was showing like as if I was owing. So they sent my name to collections . It took close to an hour on the phone with them to get it sorted out and they emailing my itemized bill to me. This is for those that use sheridan |

I just opened the hospital website all you asked is just in front of you. There is even a phone number for international patients same for all hospitals websites there is usually a place to look for dr so go back to the site and search for it to get what you want. Susom: Dear all,
I appreciate the effort you guys put into sharing your experience on here, it has made he journey easier for a lot of us.
I am a FTM, looking to travel to Houston in Jan/Feb 2019 as I am due in March 2019. Apologies I do not have any transcript to share as I have a valid BI/B2 which i intend on using for the forthcoming journey.
From the trend I understand that Houston Methodist has recently reviewed their prices, please i will appreciate it if anyone has used them in the past year and willing to give a review (if allowed) and also share the new estimate of price.
Second, I see a lot of people talk about Dr. F and Dr. E, any other recommendation? Also, is it just the doctor I will contact or the hospital as well ( Have been unable to get clarifications from previous discussions) |

Can the notary at the US embassy be done before the birth of the baby? Or must it be after the birth of the baby? Would they need the baby's birth date of birth during the Notary process at the embassy?
Your urgent reaponse will be highly appreciated.

I have tried to give you answers note most are from the USA Visa website and first hand information youngette: Hello house and thank you for all the detailed accounts given, its taken days to go through all the threads but the time spent doing so was worth it!
On to my peculiar situation: Currently a FTM planning to birth in the US and still have a valid B1/B2 visa that was issued while I was working outside Nigeria. I am back in Nigeria now by the way. LO is due early may but visa expires end of may. Can any one advise on the best option for visa application, if to apply with DH (his first time, I have been to the US before) and if to buy a return ticket beyond visa validity? Answer:- apply with husband Buy tickets beyond validity of Visa because you would be declaring child birth " length of stay is at the discretion of CBP and not Visa validity"
So please pardon me and my many questions 1.To have LO, do I...: a. Apply for dropbox - same B1/B2 - and declare medical tourism reason at POE? (risking this Trump immigration change atmosphere influencing a possible denial)
Ans:- you can not apply for drop box in Nigeria since your Visa was issued outside Nigeria
b. Apply for B2 and pray all goes well at interview Ans:- yes
c. Go to US on current visa and declare at POE that it's for birthing reasons - not sure if they will stamp me in beyond the visa validity - then apply for an extension while still in the US Ans:- if there is no time then go this route d. Please advise!
2. When would be a good time to apply since I still have more than 6 months left on the current visa? The next interview date is in March and I am not sure if it will be dropbox or interview so trying to play safe. Ans:- interview
3. Do I mention that DH will be accompanying me or not? He actually will not come until much later.
Ans yes mention him as your travel partner
4. Is it possible to apply for a visa renewal from within the US?
Ans:-No because you don't reside therr
Any first hand experience with this type of situation would be a huge help.
Thank you my fellow nairalanders! |

Thank you very much. Off recent a lot people come here asking questions that are just a click away in their face It beats me when I see questions like ''I want to have my baby in the USA how do I apply for a Visa '' Or ''do I but this and this for drop box.'' Or '' how do i schedule drop box.'' I guess this the reason it is said if you want to hid something from a lot of people write it down. You can reschedule 211g once done The location is automatically set to the drop box location you can't choose another. damsell: Greetings house. Old timer here but I need help in scheduling an interview appointment under the 221g category. I'm actually looking to use the Abuja consulate for this interview due to the non availability of close enough Lagos dates even though I used Lagos for the initial drop box application..First of all, is this possible? The main problem I have now though is that when I access my profile to schedule an appointment, only the available dates list pop up and then a Submit and Cancel tab, no 221g category tab, no location tab, And I gather that you only get one chance to schedule an interview under this category, unlike if it's a fresh application that you can reschedule up to 3times if I'm not mistaken. Please can someone help? I've actually sent a mail through the feedback tab to the consulate but I'd appreciate if anyone here can field this question as I am quite pressed for time and need an Abuja interview date that is close enough. Regards all |

No matter your status the chances of getting a Visa is the same. Reason is that the onus is on you to prove to the Visa officer that you have enough ties to bring you back after your visit. Eg Business Stable and well paying job Investment Etc Toopee: I need someone’s opinion on this issue please |
