Print the bar code sent to your email then go with it to GT bank. You will be given a receipt with numbers which you will use to go book appointment on your portal. Wait at least 24 hrs for your payment to reflect before booking appointment. Nwebele: Thanks mamaron. I have completed the application. My confirmation page sent to my email. I have been looking for the link for paying visa fees and nothing heĺps. My last application, i was shown a link to print out and take to bank. Or should i just go to Gtbank and pay visa fees? After that, what next? How do i proceed with submitting receipts and booking appointment. Am sorry but i have really tried and cant figure it out. Thanks |

Good day house @Omodadi2 sorry.
In 2015 Feb I put to birth in Houston at WHMC paid all my bills as per self pay $4000 for me and $362 for baby both well baby well mama 3 days stay. I paid everything as per the offer before leaving the hospital. Got my Zero balance letter and receipts for both accounts. Then my visa expired in May 2015 and I renewed it in October 2015 via drop box. Now went to renew Jan 2018 via drop box but passport returned and I am advised to schedule an interview ( yet to do that) So I started arranging all necessary document's "every every " thinking i am good to go, untill a member of the house posted her transcript on how she was denied visa at her follow up interview because of itemized bill. She came to see what it looked like and I put up what I thought it was only for me to see the real thing. Obviously I knew I didn't have it. So I called the hospital to send mine the reception referred me to hospital patients account services (which is in Georgia) trust me I called sharp sharp , only to be told that my sons account has $4230 debt on it. Wow I screamed no way and asked why and how but the guy just said it's been there since 3 years. I went gagas and called the main hospital line again requesting to speak to a financial counsellor (as I could not get hold of the person that signed and issued my initial letter) I was again given a number for the person. I called and it went into voice mail and was given her email. I sent her a mail stating my findings and my need also attaching a copy of my Zero balance. However I kept calling till she picked. My God she was so apologetic saying the person whose job it was to strick it off did no do so. That she would send me updated receipts and zero balance letter and follow up till the $4230 on my sons account is struck off. She has sent the above but no itemized bill that I would have to wait for a week before it comes. As for the follow up interview I will not schedule until I get an all clear from the said account.
I believe a lot of us can learn from this I will also keep you posted to the end. Sorry for the very long post. Love you all. |

My son's was done by my Dr at WHMC and it was very good. OnJosh1: Please people of GOD can anyone recommend a good Pediatrician for circumcision here in Houston? Had my baby at Oakbend. Or should I simply wait till we get to Nigeria? Baby will be 6weeks then. I shudder at the thought of the pain but I'm worried about doing it twice as I've heard not so good reports about circumcision done here. My brother's baby and my friend's baby had to be redone back home in Nigeria after first attempt here in Houston and El Paso respectively were not done properly... Not the same hospitals though.
Pls pls I appreciate your prompt response. |

I believe it is any of the attached. I was given these as well as Zero balance letter . Kayjay23: Good afternoon fam. I applied for a dropbox renewal after i had my baby in 2016. Was called for the famous 221g interview. Went there with all my receipts and other burden of proof documents. VO: passports please ME: gave her VO: where are you visiting in the US? ME: Washington VO: how long are you going For? Me: 3 weeks VO: have you been to the US before? Me: yes on two occasions VO: last time you went to the US what did you go For? Me: I went to have my baby VO: Do you have the receipts? Me: yes please. I hand all receipts to her including a tabulated breakdown of my expenditure to show how much the entire trip cost. VO: looks through then asks...Do you have an itemized receipt. Me: no ma'am I wasn't given any by the hospital. All they gave me was a zero balance letter and another letter that stated that I paid my bill in full. VO: leaves her seat for a while and comes back with a yellow paper. Ma'am at this time no decision has been reached on your application until you provide the itemized bill from the hospital. On the yellow paper she wrote that I will need to provide the itemized bill from the hospital before further processing will continue. The yellow paper is to be submitted alongside my passport and itemized bill at dhl... So na. so I waka today. Just thought to share. Please who has an itemized bill and what does it look like? Cheers!

First, decide on the state and city then google the hospitals in the city and get phone nos and or email and contact them during city working hours. After that, you can come back to ask for things you don't understand from your correspondence. Alternatively, you can type in the city you plan to go here in the search bar you wont believe what you will see when you have done that start calling and emailing them all. with the above in mind what state and city are you looking at and what is your budget? olaniyisal: Please house,
I need very cheap hospital fees all inclusive.

humm i am learning i have some ideas already. anunimorigba: I have gone through the link carefully. Yes, they actually want a new contract for the trip to States. Not to sound ungrateful for your input, but just being realistic: is there anyone that actually takes a domestic staff from Nigeria and pays them N1M+ per month? I actually don't pay her myself anymore as I got her employed to my company after 6 months of being with me. 35k is her basic salary, her total is about 52k or so. I was going to supplement with extra 35k/month personally- but truth is, that's still way below the minimum wage.
I will see how it goes but definitely come and share whatever the outcome is here, if I still decide to take her. She is already looking forward to going but if it will pose a problem I would rather ditch it, abeg!
Thanks a lot for your immense input, truly appreciated. |

You did the right thing by applying for medical visa. As for the money thing transferring very large amount of monies into the account you will be going with will raise a red flag. It will look like you just borrowed money the money for the purpose. But if you have all the documents to prove it then go ahead but what if you are not given the space to explain. For collecting your FIL statements will outrightly mean You can't fund the trip. Remember to go with documents to show that you just liquidated your investment account too. All the above are my own opinion. I stand to be corrected anytime. daxx: Hello everyone. I had my interview recently and I was denied. The VO assumed we didn’t have enough funds to cover the trip as DH transferred the money to my account. ( I used my salary account statement which showed my then salary of 186k. I say then because it is now slightly above 200k.) She also didn’t bother to look at my money market statement which also had some funds in it. I want to reapply but I want to clarify a few things.
1. I transferred the money back to DH’s account as I want to carry his statement in addition to mine this time around. We will also be liquidating our fixed deposit and investment accounts to show we can cover the expenses. Would this put us in a better position?
2. My father in law has also offered to give me his boa statement and his dom acct statement as neither I nor DH have any. Is it wise to take up this offer or will it spoil my chances?
Everybody seems to be blaming me for telling the truth and applying for a medical visa as they believed I would have gotten the visa if I had said I was only visiting because I don’t have an obvious belly. |

To give her more confidence start by telling her what to say and how to carry herself when she gets to her interview. Also psyching her to start dreaming of where she is going to would also help boost her morals. anunimorigba: Hello @Omodadi2. Please how did you go about visa for your nanny? It is not true that they are more inclined for cs and that virginal birth is more expensive. Issues are treated on case based. So reach any Dr. You can get your hands on. As long as your friend pays all her bills without taking any government aids and have receipts for all payments made she is good to go. baldman: Dear House, I have been an ardent follower of the thread. Thanks for the good work you are doing here. My wife and I intend for her to have our first child in the US. I have read extensively and I have these questions:
It seems most of the hospitals/Drs in the US are inclined towards performing a CS. my wife and I are more inclined towards vaginal birth, all things being equal and we are looking at Oakbend medical centre or Dr. Xydas. Could you please advise, from experience, which of the Houston hospitals/Dr. is favourably disposed to vaginal birth. I know they raise quotes for vaginal birth but I want to ask from people who have actual experience of vaginal birth in the US.
Also, a friend recently delivered in the general hospital, even though all the fees are being paid ( it is relatively cheaper), could this prejudice her while applying for visa in the future? |

ETC can be used if you lose your passport while abroad too. ICANOFFICE: I had thought she can travel with the ETC without the US passport, except am wrong..... My line of reasoning is that baby can travel with either US passport or Nigeria Passport. The ETC is in lieu of the Nigeria Passport. US passport can be processed in Nigeria once she arrives
Kindly educate me on this.
