Calling on everyone to please come to my rescue!

I really wanted this. It'll be my first baby.

I applied for a B2 visa, no lies in everything I filled in my form.
@nefertiti @furstymun @chibertha @justwise and every other person pls help me look into this I beg you.
What can I do differently please?
For me I will say apply alone like you DH suggested and use your cousin house as place of stay even though you don't plan to stay there.
I believe it will fly this time. Was it lagos or Abuja because Abuja seems to be easier.
WHMC is good that is were I used but there are cheaper hospitals but let's not worry about that for now lets leave that for When your visa is issued

Good luck and congratulations in advance
You can pm too if you like

hi mamas,

Please quick question for the house / frequent flyers.

Does anyone know when do the counters open in MMA?

Say I am travelling on a flight that leaves at 11pm.

Can I go and check in my bags as early as 3pm, 4pm? Is that possible? I have a non missionary journey coming up and need to make some plans...
4 hrs before departure

If travelling from PHC airfrance is bae they have more leg room than lufthansa but you will get cheaper tickets from lufthansa.

Thank you for ur response ma..
My hubby just renewed his visa this year and its 2yrs which expires in 2017...thou we dint know i will also go that time...he just came up with 'come and apply' later..[/quote]He can still reapply the current one will be cancelled without prejudice and a new one issued.
I did it in 2011 my current visa still had months but because I was relocating from Lagos back to PHC at that time I had to take this option so that I won't have to go there for 2 years

To the best of my knowledge your husband can reapply for his visa especially if it will expire soon and you become his dependant.
A friend of mine did it and it work after the first refusal.

Most airlines require it from your physician. But to be double sure check with your airline its usually on their website

Hello good people of this thread....kindly help cos its urgent.....

Is it cheaper to rent a 2 bedroom shared apartment in houston or just go for an extended stay like intown suit cos i found one intown suit vry close to my hospital.
Which is more convenient pls.....
Secondly how is ethiopian airline compared to airfrance for a preggie of 35wks like me.....kindly assist me pls ..i'll b leaving soon
In town suit is cheaper from my own experience because the 2 bedroom comes without furnishing and you have to pay all bills e.g Television/internet etc and look for someone to clean it if you can't.

Hi Chiberta,
How early do you think is appropriate to send a notification of intent to the embassy?
Do it like yesterday. I did mine in August and traveled in Dec.
So that you don't enter rush rush.

Sometimes I struggle to see the real benefit of the whole child project.

It takes a long time for the child or the parents to start reaping the benefits of being an American and a lot can happen between that time.
My darlings for me it is for the child to have alternative in life.I work in a sector were experts are highly rated even those with clear Nigeria origin eg I had a collegue that was paid £8000 because she is Nigeria/British (a lady)while her altern ie BTB was paid NGN500 000 (A guy) only Nigerian citizenship
Another lady fresh from RSUST after service was employed to manage a branch of her company in Copenhagen because she is Nigeria/British.
I can go on an on trust me
So my people don't worry you will the benefits sooner than you think even if the child lives and school throughout in Nigeria the benefits can not be over emphasised.

Why should she reapply for a visa that's valid to travel on her travel date?.
Just to be on safe side never can tell. Whom she would meet at poe and next trip too.
Just dont give any room for anybody to poke holes.

This plenty drama ontop ticket that you are buying with your money? Simply tell her to refund your money if the ticket had not been bought. But if it had been bought, phone the airline yourself and ask them if you can add baby and cost. That been said, at times its very difficult & expensive to add baby to some class of ticket o! most especially those very cheap tickets,at times cost of adding baby can be as much as the cost of the original ticket self. So shine your eye o
You are very correct. It is due to the position of the seat in such cases the airline will have to change your seat to a place where the basinett can be set up.

Hello house please I need ur best advice I got a 2 years us visa with my family in July and now am pregnat I wish to give birth there should I still go and inform them that I will be giving birth in us or I should just go?
If am in my last trimester will they allow me ?
Please what procedure should I take
Write to the embassy a letter of intent and carry along the reply.
As for when to travel in pregnancy depends on the airline of choice go through the website to get information.
Try to contact a doctor too and also go along with emails
All these are just to be ready for POE officers.
Thats all

me and wife used oàkbend medical hospital in Houston for our first baby in 2014. second baby is coming in March/April 2017. we be live we can find a cheaper deal this time. please which hospital are you planning to use in Houston? where do you plan to stay? can we rub minds since our EDD's are almost same? in 2014, we spent 2350 for hospital bills (vaginal delivery and no epidural) and physician fee was about 2500
For accommodation check airbnb or any extended stay hotel they are very cheap.
Try and stay close to Westminster or Richmond avenue so that you can use the metro bus at any time to save cost on transport.

Thanks for your reply. My problem is I'm due June 10th. I'm not sure I will have enough time to get my baby's papers and my baby would not be old enough to travel before my visa expiration. Is there a way to renew the Visa before it's expiration?
Yes you can just fill a new visa for and do drop box

Hi house I got my US visa last year and travelled with hubby on vacation in November last year. Spent 2 weeks in the US. My Visa expires in July 2017 and my baby is due in June 2017. This is my first. I have relatives in New Jersey where I could stay. I am yet to discuss with them cos I and hubby just started talking about the possibility of giving birth in the US. I need your advice about the Visa expiration and should I still write the embassy about my intent to deliver in the US?
Reapply for the same visa before you travel via drop box the first one will be cancelled without prejudice.
I did in 2011 then my first visa was still valid but I had to renew because by the time I will be the USA the first would have expired.

Hi Everyone! Has anyone booked a domestic flight from new York to Houston from Nigeria recently? If yes, how did you go about it especially the payment. Thank you.
I did. Go to cheaptickets.com or trip advisor
As for payment they always accept cards with USA billing addresses.

I'm super confused now.
I made up my mind to birth in El paso may/June 2017. Planned going by April.
Now, I'm confused as to whether to pay my bills now or wait?
Please help a sis out of her confusion.
Thanks.
Don't make any payments until you get to the hospital.
You never can know you might want to change hospital or doctor when get there.

Dears,
Please help me out with the below concerns:
1. Can my infant travel back to Nigeria with just the ETC?
2. One of the contacts at Nigerian embassy I got in this forum asked for $350 for the ETC to be paid into her personal account. Is this how it works? I omitted her name on purpose. Just want to know if you paid to a personal account.
3. We are travelling with Delta airlines, called to add my baby and they said $445. Please has anyone here travelled with Delta recently and how much did it cost to add an infant and at what point did you do that?

Sorry for the long question. Make una help o!
Answer
1. Yes an infant can travel to Nigeria with ETC but I prefer getting a visa stamped on the babies passport instead.
2. The cost for visa is about that. from my experience it will be stamped the same day the passport gets to the embassy and put in the mail for return to sender.
3. My friend who is coming back on the 20th of paid close to $400 or more for her baby on airfrance

I hope I have made " common sense "
